Chapter 47 Remembering the Past
Its been a month since the war against Keizer and the Kaiju.
After Keizer was defeated by Godzilla the Kaiju had surrendered to Godzilla now serving him and the Human race.
Since then the world was finally at peace.
Godzilla was back in charge as King as Dagon went back to Metal City since like Kong he shared his view on human leaders.
Iacon city was repaired in minutes thanks to the Matrix repairing all the damage so quick.
And now with Godzilla back in charge Titan city was thriving again.
And the best part was Raiko was now officially dead since after working with Mark TWICE it was made clear he was a bigger threat than most people originally predicted.
After using the Oxygen destroyer they raided his home and found dozens of plans of starting wars so he could rule everyone.
To say everyone was pissed was an understatement seeing he was much worse than originally thought.
Now that he was dead though everyone could rest easier.
Still one thing was keeping people on alert.
Kuvira and Baatar.
The Titans were taking no chances with them and made it top priority to have them either captured or killed.
Suyin didn't even argue with that since she had lost all her faith in her son after working for Mark of all people.
As of right now however though.
Katara giggled as Sean used Water bending to keep her in the air.
'Reminds you of someone 18 years ago?' Godzilla asked amused making Sean chuckle as Sean stopped and caught her.
"Honestly you are too much like your mother hon." Sean said making her giggle.
"You say that like its a bad thing." Korra said walking to them.
"Hardly." Sean said as Katara yawned making him smile as they went inside.
Placing her in bed they walked outside before sitting down.
"You really think its finally all over. This near end of the world events?" Korra asked.
"Not until we find and arrest Kuvira and Baatar and either Arrest them or put them down." Sean said.
"How did Suyin handle that one?" Korra asked.
"Mmm. She didn't even object. Not that I blame her. Baatar got so consumed with Mark's lies he didn't even consider he was lying and just believed every lie he told them. And they lost everything for it." Sean said as she sat on his laid and laid against him making him smile.
"I feel sorry for her. She raised him to be good and got corrupted by lies from a madman." Korra said.
"Yeah. He might have a chance if he surrenders himself and gives up Kuvira. Though I doubt that is gonna happen." Sean said making her nod as they watched Junior and Hitomi practice waterbending making her smile softly.
"You remember when I was pregnant with the Twins before we knew I was having twins?" Korra asked making him chuckle.
"Yeah like I'm gonna forget that unplanned gift." Sean said making her giggle.
"I was really hoping the baby was gonna be a waterbender so I could teach him or her. And then we had them and both of them turned out to be water benders." Korra said.
"Yeah well they get that from someone we both know." Sean said making Godzilla chuckle in amusement.
'Speaking of which I gotta ask did you have any of that metal inside you when we separated like I did?' Sean asked.
'If I did it most likely all melted from that heat. How did you know you still had some?' Godzilla asked curious.
'Toph told me.' Sean said making him growl.
'That blind annoying insect is still alive?' Godzilla asked annoyed making him chuckle.
These two had a very difficult relationship. Mostly because Toph kept calling him names he hated with the top one being Gecko.
'Yes. Though I did try to get her when I was in the swamp where your old man sent me. But since I was recovering and still sick well...You can guess.' Sean said making him grumble about blind old hags making him chuckle.
Thats when they got splashed making them spit out water before seeing the kids laughing.
"Oh. YOU LITTLE INSECTS!" Sean yelled chasing after them making them scream in laughter while Korra giggled at this.
"It's nice everything is back to normal." Korra said holding her former engagement necklace.
Next day
Sean and Korra long with the Kids were outside a newly finished building that Godzilla had ordered to be built.
Thats when Tenzin stepped up to a speaker.
"Thank you all for coming. Over the last 18 years Our world has experienced great changes and many threats since the Titans returned. The Return of the Kaiju, Hiroshi's attack on Republic City using the original Mecha Godzilla, The Return of the MUTO's and Cykor, Mark's return, Unalaq and Vaatu, Zorc and the other Titans who despised Humanity, Zaheer and the Red Lotus, Kuvira and her Earth empire and now Keizer. All of whom have either been defeated, redeemed themselves, or now live beside us. The world has changed in so many ways and many of them have benefited the world." Tenzin said.
"Depending on your point of view." Sean said making Korra nod.
"But we must always remember our history and never forget the past and the events that followed to insure that events like these never happen again. And so it is my honor to present to you the new new historical archive full of all our history both past and present so we may never forget our past and never have history repeat itself." Tenzin said as the building was fully revealed making the people applaud.
"Why have this?" Korra asked.
"To remember our past and focus on our future to make sure history does not repeat." Godzilla said as they walked inside.
Inside the building were thousands of articles of the past and the present.
"Hey check this out." Mako said showing an image of a man with white hair and green eyes with some technology that looked identical to the kind during Republic City.
"Theres my family ancestor that made our family into the top royal family. Jefferson Kruger." Sean said.
"This guy is you're extremely great grandfather?" Bolin asked in awe.
"Yup. He's the one who first ran the science division for 70 years when he was 18 years old." Sean said.
"Whoa. So thats where you get the smarts of the family from." Korra said amazed.
"Partially. We also had good teachers in years to come." Sean said.
"Hey check this one out." Ikki said seeing a woman with Red hair and blue eyes.
"Another Family ancestor. Amanda Kruger. She was the one who helped create the Matrix. Spent most of her youth building it for 19 of the 20 years. Making our family even more famous." Sean said.
"Cool." Hitomi said making her parents laugh as Sean placed her on her shoulders.
"Whats this place?" Opal asked looking at a city that looked nearly identical to Republic City.
"That is the original Titan City in man's early years." Godzilla said.
"This is Titan City?" Korra asked amazed seeing it looking nearly identical to Republic City minus the buildings being much taller than the ones in Republic City.
"Every last detail of it." Sean said.
'Ah I actually miss the original.' Godzilla said making Sean chuckle.
"Hey who are these people?" Asami asked seeing some people next to Sean's family.
"Those are Mark's ancestors. They were all good people. He's only bad apple from the tree." Sean said as they looked at the history.
"What does apples and trees have to do with Mark?" Meelo asked making everyone sweatdrop.
'Please tell me he's not this stupid?' Godzilla asked in disbelief.
'Unfortunately...yes.' Sean said sighing.
"A family tree is a linage of people from ages past. Mark is the only bad member of his family." Sean said.
"I still don't get it." Meelo said making him sigh in annoyance.
"Thats your son right there." Reznov said to Tenzin who sighed.
"Anyway." Sean said wanting to change the subject. "Check this out." Sean said as they went into another part of the Archives before images of Amon, Hiroshi, Unalaq and the others appeared that they've faced over the last 5 years.
"Whats this part for?" Korra asked.
"To show our enemies and their actions. This way everyone knows our history." Sean said as Korra looked at Amon's hologram.
"Wait I just realized something. Since the barrier is gone for good and the Kaiju are no longer at war with Earth doesn't that mean the world doesn't need bending anymore?" Korra asked.
"We thought about that at first but decided against taking it away since theres more good with it than bad and have ways to insure that no one misuses it." Godzilla said.
"That and we can take the bending away from those who would misuse it like the Gangs that haunted Republic City." Sean said looking at Unalaq making him snort. "I wonder how he and his devil kids are doing?" Sean asked making Korra snicker.
Meanwhile
"AHHHHH!" Desna screamed as his body was being burned horribly by the spirit that was torturing him while Eska screamed as she was ripped apart by her's.
"DAMN YOU KRUGER!" Unalaq roared in pain.
Back with the group
Sean chuckled.
"What are you laughing about?" Korra asked amused.
"Guess." Sean said making her giggle.
Asami looked at her father's image seeing it had all the events on it. The lives he took and his path to redemption last month making her smile softly.
"He'd be happy knowing you're safe now that all our enemies are gone." David said holding her close.
"Yeah. Too bad he's gonna miss our wedding next week." Asami said making him no.
Korra took a look at Zaheer's image.
"You ok?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. All those years I hated him for what he did to both of you. And I finally forgave him for helping both of you." Korra said.
"He made have made some amends but he can never redeem himself for his actions since he refused to listen to reason. Blinded by his own view. Hiroshi learned shortly after his actions and gave us enough time to defeat Keizer once and for all. But he can never be fully forgiven for his crimes." Godzilla said.
"Maybe not. But he did fix his wrong." Korra said.
"True." Godzilla said.
Suyin was looking at Kuvira and her soon with a frown.
"Where did I go wrong with you?" Suyin asked.
"You didn't do anything." Turok said walking to her. "He made his own choices and got corrupted by Mark's lies and his blind devotion to Kuvira put him in the mess he's in." Turok said.
"I know. But as a parent I can't help but feel I did something wrong along the way. I taught him everything Sean and Godzilla taught me. And he turned his back on his own family." Suyin said.
"Blind loyalty will do that to someone. This is why man cannot lead man. They cause problems like this unless trained by Kong and the Titans in his City." Turok said.
"What do you plan to do when you find them?" Suyin asked.
"Thats a good question. Most of the Titans want Kuvira taken off the board because of her actions. Baatar on the other hand though...Well...They don't know. He's nowhere near as dangerous as Kuvira and technically he is the reason Bolin and Varrick got to Iacon city to lure Keizer and the Kaiju away from the other cities. So there may be some hope for him." Turok said.
Korra was in another room seeing all the Avatars including herself as she looked at Wan's hologram with a smile.
"He may have screwed up because he didn't know his history. But he's the reason I met you. And how we got our family." Sean said next to her making her smile.
"Yeah. Do you...Remember what we talked about before Zaheer got free?" Korra asked.
"Course. How you wanted to separate from Raava since you felt the world didn't need the Avatar anymore." Sean said.
"When Kuvira is finally captured...I think I'm gonna go along with it. The world doesn't need me anymore. And I'm fine with that." Korra said holding him close. "I have everything I need right here." Korra said making him smile as he kissed her.
"I know the feeling. Though maybe we should wait a few years before then." Sean said making her nod as he held her close before the kids rushed to them making them smile as Sean picked up the girls while she held Junior. "I love you." Sean said.
"I love you too." Korra said.
'Heh. And to think you two wouldn't be this happy if I didn't negate that pill 5 years ago.' Godzilla said.
'I KNEW IT!' Sean yelled.
'Oops.' Godzilla said chuckling.
'You fucking asshole.' Sean chuckled.
'What? Your happy aren't ya?' Godzilla asked.
'Yeah. Still don't do that again.' Sean said making him chuckle.
'I can't make any promises.' Godzilla said making him roll his eyes.
"What are you two talking about?" Korra asked.
"He was the reason you got pregnant by negating the pill." Sean said making her smirk.
"Why am I not surprised. I knew I was being careful." Korra said.
"Eh. Doesn't matter. We have a good life because of that." Sean said holding her close.
Meanwhile
Kuvira and Baatar walked through the halls of Mark's secret base.
"How did they find it?" Kuvira asked.
"Does it really matter?" Baatar asked.
"No. But I wanna see it." Kuvira said as they walked into one room in particular before the lights came on fully before Kuvira approached something.
It was the left head of Keizer that flew off during his fight with Godzilla before the rest of his body was completely destroyed.
"This is all thats left of him. Everything else was burned to ash. But its already been proven Godzilla is stronger than him now. So what do we do?" Baatar asked making her grin.
"We'll take it to go." Kuvira said.
