Chapter 52 Keizer's Revenge
Its been a few days since the battle against Kuvira's army with it all crumbling apart along with her Mecha Godzilla before she finally surrendered after seeing the wrongs she did.
Right now she was in a hospital getting treated.
"How serious is the damage?" Suyin asked seeing her getting scanned.
"The damage was actually less extensive than originally predicted. She was in the second phase of the infection of radiation poisoning. Either way she's gonna be just fine. She's gonna need to stay here however though for at least a couple months since she's still in pain." Sean said.
"Don't you have a cure?" Korra asked holding Yangchen.
"It's already been injected. What she needs is to be monitored to make sure it stays that way. Most cases when Mark tested this thing were found before the first stage or in the beginning of it. She's in the second stage so we need to closely monitor her." Sean said with Kyoshi in his arms as she cooed.
"So whats gonna happen to her?" Suyin asked.
"Well...Under normal circumstances her actions would result in execution. However she's given us the locations of secret bases around the world Mark had when he was in that robot suit. And she also gave us names of secret allies Mark had besides Raiko. Most of them were gang and criminal groups outside the cities or business people. Like that CEO who owns cabbage corp." Sean said.
"HUH? Why would he work for Mark?" Korra asked in disbelief.
"Because he said he wanted revenge against the Avatar for ruining his predecessor's business during the days before Republic City. Kinda a stupid reason if you ask me but whatever he was an idiot anyway." Sean said.
'I still don't understand the problem.' Godzilla said.
'Maybe this will jog your memory. MY CABBAGES!' Sean said.
'Oooh. It's all coming back now.' Godzilla said remembering.
Flashback
"Whoa." Katara said seeing the place Sean showed them to build Republic City.
"So whats so special you picked this place to build Republic City?" Aang asked making Sean chuckle.
"This is where Titan City once stood 30,000 years ago." Sean said shocking them.
"Wait this is where you lived?" Zuko asked.
"Yup. And it was beautiful back in those days." Sean said.
"We lead mankind here for hundreds of thousands of years." Godzilla said proudly.
"And royally screwed up." Toph said making his eyes twitch in annoyance.
'I hate this kid.' Godzilla said making Sean chuckle.
"Keep talking and I'm gonna kick your ass." Godzilla said making her grin.
"This place is gonna be just as good as Titan City one day." Aang said earth bending a rock up in the air making it fly towards the Cabbage man's cart since he was here for building his own business like many others.
"MY CABBAGES!" (I really wished they did something similar in this series instead of the once MY CABBAGE CORP line)
"Oops." Aang said making Sean burst out laughing as he glared at them all.
"ONE DAY I'll GET BACK AT YOU FOR ALL THE CABBAGES YOU DESTROYED AVATAR! AND IF NOT MY SUCCESSOR WILL!"
'What a worthless man child.' Godzilla said rolling his eyes.
"Aye." Sean said before waterbending him into the ocean making him scream.
"One of these days I think he's gonna carry out that threat." Sokka said.
"I very much doubt it." Sean said.
Present
Korra burst out laughing at that flashback story.
"Yeah he was a major league prick." Sean said.
Later
Kuvira in hologram form stood before Every Titan in the new Court house that was just rebuilt by the Matrix.
"Do you know why you have been called here?" Yonggary asked making her sigh.
"Obviously. To answer for what I did." Kuvira said.
"Indeed. While you have indeed realized the error of your ways you still willingly had innocent people enslaved and killed because of either you let the power go to your head once more proving our view man cannot lead man...Or you let Mark's words poison your view and did what you did." Togera said.
"The main reason you are not facing the death penalty is because in exchange for not having that order given you willingly supplied us with all the locations of Mark's bases and allies of his. Hence now we know where he got the supplies to make the things he made." Mothra said.
"However a punishment is unavoidable for the most obvious of reasons. If we let you off with a simple slap on the wrist that speaks poorly of our leadership and for the Justice of the ones you had killed." Baragon said making her nod.
"However...Because Mark was involved and deceived you with his venomous lies the punishment will be...Less extensive depending on how well you cooperate." Obelisk said.
"Meaning?" Kuvira asked.
"Did you know about the Oxygen destroyer and how Mark made that?" Dagon asked next to his brother.
"No. I was just as shocked about that one as everyone else. I didn't even know Mark and Raiko were in league at that time till later. He shared almost everything with me but not that weapon or about Raiko. Though I'm honestly surprised he was allied with him since Raiko was pathetic." Kuvira said making all agree.
"Granted. How did you know about the mines you needed for your Mecha Godzilla project?" Rodan asked.
"That was still in Mark's computers after his death. Everything he had planned was in there." Kuvira said.
"Does that include the new Mecha Godzilla you and Baatar made?" Godzilla asked.
"Uh not exactly." Kuvira said confusing them.
"Meaning?" Kong asked.
"I asked Baatar to make special modifications to another one he had planned but never got the chance to make on the fact that he was in favor the the last one he made for looking less like the original." Kuvira said. (which is true since the one from Godzilla Earth looked nothing like Godzilla to be honest)
"Why am I not surprised." Godzilla asked.
"Did you learn anything else from his computers?" Orga asked.
"I did learn he found out about Keizer because Unalaq found out about his location and he told his children and they told him." Keizer said making Godzilla scoff in annoyance.
'Even his children are just as vile as he is if they told him where that bastard was.' Godzilla said.
'Your just now realizing this?' Sean asked.
'Whatever.' Godzilla said.
Thats when Baatar was also brought in escorted by heavy drones making her look before looking down.
"I know what I've done warrants me being here. But why him?" Kuvira asked.
"Because he built that thing thats why." Space Godzilla said snarling at Baatar who looked down.
"Look I..." Kuvira tried to say.
"Save it Kuvira. Nothing can't change their minds." Kong said making her sigh before her transmission ended.
"I'm more than willing to accept any punishment for my crimes." Baatar said.
"Since you helped stop Kuvira your case will be less harsh. However Baatar one punishment is to be carried out without question." Congar said.
"And that is?" Baatar asked.
"You will never invent anything ever again for the next 50 years. I know Kong already transferred his Eternal Energy inside you and the rest of Suyin's family so like us you will live for eternity. So for the next 50 years you will never create anything ever again unless you are aiding in a project for Metal City under your father's guidance." Godzilla said making him sigh.
"I understand." Baatar said.
"Now you had a list of projects Mark had left behind correct?" Ichi asked.
"Yes. He had hundreds of plans left behind. Some even ten times more deadly than the Oxygen destroyer." Baatar said.
"Did you create any of these more dangerous inventions?" Zilla asked.
"No since I didn't trust them for obvious reasons. The Cyber Zilla project however was one of them. Along with several Mecha Versions of every titan here." Baatar said making them growl.
"And you never attempted to make them?" Komodo asked.
"I never got the chance since you found out about Keizer I only had enough time for the new Mecha Godzilla and Cyber Zilla." Baatar said.
"I see." Godzilla said.
"We'll continue this later." Kong said as they all left.
Sean sighed as he drank some water.
'I always hated meetings like this long before Mark screwed us all over.' Godzilla said making Sean scoff in amusement.
"Same with me in those scientist meetings we held once a week." Sean said.
Thats when Kai walked to him making him frown.
"The hell do you want?" Sean asked making him sigh.
"Look I know your busy but I just came to ask something." Kai said making him raise an eyebrow.
"And that is?" Sean asked taking a drink.
"I uh...Wanna ask your permission to marry Sarah." Kai said making him spit it it out and choke on his drink.
"Excuse me?" Sean asked in shock.
"I wanna marry Sarah. So...What do you think?" Kai asked making him frown.
'Now before you even think about saying no or some other insults need I remind you he can also ask David since he's the oldest and Korra has ways of making you say yes.' Godzilla said making him growl.
"Kai...Ask me again when this nonsense is all over completely." Sean said trying to restrain himself.
"Ok thats fair." Kai said walking off making Sean sigh in annoyance.
'Smart move.' Godzilla said.
"Oy." Sean said annoyed.
"Well, at least you didn't flat out say no and to get lost." Korra said walking to him with Kyoshi and Yangchen in her arms.
"Oh you have absolutely no idea how much I wanted to say that to his face." Sean said.
"Sean, Kai's not a thief anymore. Is it really that difficult for you to actually accept he's good enough for Sarah?" Korra asked making him sigh.
"OK! So I admit the SOB is different compared to before." Sean said watching is language around the twins who were asleep.
"So whats stopping you from giving your blessing?" Korra asked.
"Are you saying your gonna give your blessing to some girl Junior brings when he's old enough so easily?" Sean asked making her grin.
"If she makes him happy...Sure. Besides I think the longer you wait eventually Sarah is gonna hate you and you'll be back to how you two used to be before you reconciled." Korra said making him sigh.
"Yeah. Thats true." Sean said.
Meanwhile
"COME ON! MOVE THIS THING ALREADY!" Varrick yelled at some drones preparing to move the final Mecha Godzilla from the ground.
"Easy Varrick. This thing is massive. It's gonna take a while." Julia said looking at a screen.
"Easy for you to say. The less time this thing is here the less time Kruger has the reason to chew me out." Varrick said making her grin.
"True enough." Julia said looking at the monitor. "Hey whats this energy surge here?" Julia asked.
"That? I'm not really sure to be honest. I figured maybe whatever is left inside this thing is powering up. But without a direct command link like Kuvira was using its pretty much harmless." Varrick said grinning. (It's lines like this that doom people later)
"I'm not so sure. All the power is being redirected to the head." Julia said making him blink before taking a closer look.
"Huh. It wasn't doing that earlier." Varrick said.
"I'm gonna let Sean and the others know and ask them to talk to Kuvira and Baatar about this just to be on the safe side." Julia said.
Meanwhile
Sean smiled as he placed Kyoshi in her crib next to her sister who was sound asleep.
"They are so adorable." Korra said kissing their heads before pulling a blanket over them as they slept.
"Yeah." Sean said before groaning lightly holding his side as they left.
"Still hurts?" Korra asked using waterbending to heal him.
The shockwaves from Kuvira's Mecha Godzilla had done more damage to him internally than he thought after the battle was over.
"Yeah...I should be fully healed up in a few more days." Sean said laying down.
"So its finally over. Kuvira is defeated. She's given up Mark's secret allies. The head of Keizer is useless as it is. Theres nothing left." Korra said making him nod.
"Yeah." Sean said.
"So whats bugging you?" Korra asked making him look at her. "Don't give me that look. We've been together long enough I know when something is bothering you." Korra said amused making him chuckle lightly.
'She's got you there.' Godzilla teased.
"Ok you win. I keep getting this nagging feeling something isn't right. It's not about Baatar or Kuvira since they came clean and told us everything. No...It's something else." Sean said.
"About Mark?" Korra asked.
"No. Thats not it either. I don't know. Maybe it's nothing and I'm overthinking it." Sean said.
"Sean...I've known you for 20 years. You never over think anything." Korra said.
"Not true. I over thought on minor things before we met." Sean said making her scoff in amusement.
"Yeah nice try." Korra said making him chuckle. "Whatever it is we'll deal with it later." Korra said before they got a call.
"Or maybe now." Sean said picking it up. "What?" Sean asked.
"We might have a problem over here." Julia said.
"How difficult is it to move a dead machine the size of Unalaq's fucking Ego?" Sean asked making Korra stifle her laughter so she didn't wake the babies. (I'd wager it is that size)
"Real funny. I'm serious here." Julia said.
"Whats the damn problem now?" Sean asked.
"We're getting some strange readings from the dead Mecha. All remaining power is being drawn directly to the head." Julia said making him narrow his eyes.
"Your absolutely sure?" Sean asked sitting up.
"Oh yeah. Something is going on and I bet anything Kuvira knows." Julia said.
"Never assume anything. I'll talk to her about it." Sean said hanging up.
"Whats going on?" Korra asked.
"Something is going on inside Mecha Godzilla. It has Julia and Varrick on edge. I need to talk to Kuvira." Sean said leaving.
Later
"What exactly is happening inside it?" Kuvira asked in a hospital gown getting scanned again.
"Whatever power is left inside is getting transferred inside the head. Was that a failsafe?" Sean asked.
"Kuvira did you put something in there?" Suyin asked.
"No. I told you everything before hand. And I also did a deep scan on Keizer's head before skinning the head's skin off before putting it inside to make sure it was actually dead to be safe." Kuvira said.
"Your sure?" Sean asked.
"Trust me like you in your younger years I made sure to plan out everything in advance when it came to having something made. And Baatar said he wouldn't do it unless that was done to make sure there was no chance of that thing coming back." Kuvira said.
"Well, something is happening to it." Sean said.
"What about when the new spirit portal opened up?" Suyin asked getting his attention.
"What about it?" Sean asked.
"When Godzilla and the spirit weapon collided in the wilds the power levels were off the charts and spread all over the City. Is it possible that shockwave of power reawakened him?" Suyin asked making him frown.
'Well, It is technically possible. Spirit energy combined with mine could make something like that happen.' Godzilla said concerned.
"If thats the case and whatever was left of Keizer is inside that skull is now active...But without the spirit vines it doesn't have that much power to charge up completely." Sean said.
"Um." Kuvira tried to say.
"What is it?" Suyin asked.
"Technically thats only partially true. Baatar made a secondary battery that absorbed the Energy from the vines to use incase the main one was destroyed or something else happened. I didn't think about that till now." Kuvira said making him sigh before heading outside and pulled out a phone.
"Julia listen to me. Theres a good chance Keizer is still in that skull inside the Mecha. Get everyone away from there." Sean said.
"A little late for that!" Julia yelled.
Later
(Insert Hong Kong from Godzilla vs Kong)
A perimeter was set around Mecha Godzilla seeing the lights on it were turning on and off quickly along with small pulses.
"God I don't believe this." Julia said.
"Looks like whatever is left of Keizer is powering up the whole thing. Give or take 2 minutes." Varrick said.
Thats when Sean and the others arrived.
"How bad is it?" Sean asked.
"Looks like someone is waking up. If Keizer is still alive inside that thing. He's gonna make a big reentrance." Varrick said.
Thats when Mecha Godzilla's eyes fully turned on before creating a large shockwave sending the humans back before he began to slowly get up before roaring into the air.
"I'M BACK!" Keizer roared in laughter.
"Oh great." Sean said annoyed before Godzilla took over and roared at him.
"So we meet again old friend. For the last time!" Keizer yelled as they charged at each other before Keizer grabbed him and slammed him down hard before throwing him into a building that still stood.
"How is doing much better than Kuvira ever did?" Mako asked as the Other Titans began to attack Keizer only to get pushed back with shockwaves.
"Because Kuvira's actions were limited because she used the skull to control it. Now he's in full control!" Varrick yelled as Space Godzilla was thrown down.
Kaizer roared before firing missiles at the air-born Titans making them yell as they crashed down before his mouth started glowing before firing a red laser at others making them crash down hard.
"I'm more powerful than EVER!" Keizer roared as his entire body started to regenerate.
'When I get my hands on Baatar I'm gonna kill him for making this thing.' Sean said annoyed as Godzilla charged at Keizer again before slamming his tail into him making him crash down before grabbing him and breathed Atomic breath at the left side of his face burning most of the metal off before getting kicked back.
While this was going on Baatar was watching it all from his cell.
"Oh no. I was afraid this might happen." Baatar said as Asami and Opal rushed in.
"Tell me you know how to shut that thing down." Asami said.
"If I can try to access it by remote I might be able to make him stop for at least a minute." Baatar said.
"Lets go." Asami said letting him out as they rushed off.
Godzilla roared as he kicked Keizer back before breathing more Atomic breath at him forcing him back.
Thats when Ghidorah jumped in and grabbed him with all three heads and started blasting him with lightning making Keizer roar before blasting rockets at him making him roar before getting blasted back with the laser making him crash into a the buildings.
Destroyah landed next to him before blasting him back making him growl before grabbing him by the arm before having it spin twisting his arm making him roar just as Mecha Godzilla picked him up and threw him into another building out cold.
'This isn't going well.' Sean said alarmed.
Godzilla charged at Keizer again but he just grabbed him before flying up and slammed him on the ground before throwing him into another building.
Groaning he tried to stand up but Keizer grabbed him by the mouth about to blast him inside.
Only for Kong to Jump on him from behind and forced the laser into the air before punching him in the head several times.
"GET OFF!" Keizer roared forcing him off on the ground.
Just as Keizer was about to attack Godzilla grabbed him before Kong did the same as they slammed him into a building.
Meanwhile Baatar was at a computer hacking into Mecha Godzilla trying to shut him down.
"Can you shut him down or not?" Opal asked.
"I'm trying here. Keizer has messed everything up inside it. My command codes aren't responding." Baatar said.
Keizer roared as he forced Godzilla into a building before his tail started spinning about to drill into him.
Thats when Kong with his Axe forced him back before getting pushed into another building as his tail neared his face.
"Nothing is working!" Baatar yelled frustrated.
"Can't you just set off a virus inside it or something?" Opal asked.
"I...Wait a second!" Baatar said accessing one command he still had left.
As Keizer was about to drill into Kong's face his face started shutting down.
"WHAT!" Keizer roared before seeing his backup power cell disconnected before powering them back up again.
Thats when Godzilla blasted Kong's axe powering it up before he slashed off the tail making Keizer roar in pain.
"TEAR HIM APART!" Godzilla roared as Kong slashed off the arms and the left leg making Keizer roar.
Kong roared loudly with his Axe ready for the final blow.
"NOOOOO!" Keizer roared before Kong slammed it down on his back before pulling his head right off and pounded his chest as Keizer shut down.
Finally the greatest threat to Earth was truly defeated for good.
Authors Note: And with that ladies and gentlemen Keizer is no more. Sorry this took a while since it was supposed to be updated Friday night but well...I got the booster shot for Covid and like many who have gotten it the side effects sucked. I couldn't focus and felt like shit. But I got it done. I urge people to get the vaccine with this new variant out. Better to be temporarily sick than dead. Now Next Chapter is the Final Chapter in this story and will have the list of every other crossover series I plan to use in Legend of Korra. Some will have harems others not so much.
