Shin strutted down the street, the bouquet of roses firmly in hand.
Today was the day.
He'd been building up to asking Miho out for months now. Truth be told, this was the first time he'd ever really liked a girl. Often he'd adopted a 'love 'em and leave 'em' approach to his girlfriends. In his experience, life was simpler (and more fun) that way.
He'd learned the folly of getting too attached back in high school. And he'd really learned the folly of letting a girl get too attached to him back in middle school. That'd simply been embarrassing for the both of them – for him most of all, of course.
