Chapter one: Remembrance

"Kagome!" Inuyasha bellowed into the night.

"Ye had another dream about her didn't Inuyasha." Kaede

said softly . "Ye best move on to find another woman if ye heart aches"

A sigh escaped her. "Ye ladies keep leaving ye , maybe a demon

woman would be better, hmm, if ye can find one."

"I will never forget Kagome, or Kikyo but there is nothing I can do to

bring them back " he whimpered.

"Do not stop looking Inuyasha, love is a grand thing in life, but

it also can be a cruel one to the heart…Are ye listening Inuyasha?" Kaede moved over to the fire and looked at Inuyasha. "Well?"

" I was listening , you old hag, how old are you anyway? You must be in the hundreds by now ." Inuyasha snapped.

"That does not concern ye, now go to sleep." Kaede replied.

The sun rose the next morning and Inuyasha woke to an unfamiliar smell of someone nearby. His amber eyes flashed open and he jumped up just to hit his head on the shelf above.

" OW!" He yelped.

" Careful next time Inuyasha, why are you in such a hurry?" Sango said as Kirara woke up and stretched.

" Meeoow." said Kirara ringing her voice in a soprano.

" Miroku and I are going to leave to go back to my village soon, we are taking Kirara, do you want us to take Shippo as well?" Asked Sango.

Rubbing his sore head Inuyasha replied. " You might as well, he won't do me any good, he's to weak."

" I heard that Inuyasha." Shippo barked from a ways away.

Inuyasha ignored Shippo and walked out of the hut pushing Sango out of the way. He walked a couple yards away then jumped into a nearby tree. Sniffing the air his ear twitched and he sat down and acted like a "guard dog". A low growl escaped him and he stood back up squinting from the mighty sun rays.

" What is wrong Inuyasha?" Kaede said from below. " Do ye smell something, is someone coming?"

" Yeah, but I can't tell who or what it is, though-wait, I think I see it to the north."

Inuyasha strained to see the figure but then it suddenly flew, or jumped into the trees.
