Long, long ago, Prince Endymion mad a promise…Manga Canon. Written for the 30th Anniversary of Evil Endymion (a.k.a. 'Dendy'), the Holy Sword and Queen Serenity.

Endymion abased himself at the foot of the transcendent vision of a woman standing before him.

"Rise, proud prince of Earth."

Endymion did as he was commanded and, as he drew level with the woman's mouth, he heard her whisper something loud enough for only him to hear.

"Never hurt her," said Queen Serenity.

"On my life, I never will," vowed Endymion.

"...You will find the Princess of the Moon Kingdom, the Silver Millennium. You will kill her. And you will bring the Silver Crystal to me…"

Endymion bowed towards the terrifying vision of a woman standing before him.

"It shall be done, Queen Beryl."

Though he fully intended to carry out his orders, Endymion couldn't help but feel disappointed in himself, though he did not know why…

Endymion stood trembling in front of the brave, tear stained girl before him.

His chest burned with the cold bite of the sacred sword within her hands.

Falling forwards, his face was almost level with hers.

She closed the gap between them, her lips crashing upon his.

At that moment Metalia's spell was broken. And with dawning horror, Mamoru realised so too was his promise from long ago.

A/N: So ORIGINALLY I was gonna post a bigger fic to celebrate Dark Endymion/Evil Endymion/Dendy. But I realised that, whist this month does TECHNICALLY count as his 30th anniversary, he only really appears at the tail end of the chapter published this month in 1992. As a result, I figured it was a situation not unlike Makoto's 30th anniversary. Like Dendy, she also popped up at the end of a chapter but it was the NEXT chapter that really put the spotlight on her.

So, I decided instead to make this chapter a quick little story, as I did for 'Terror in the Sky: One Year Later'. The wrinkle here was that, since this month marks the anniversary of Queen Serenity and the Holy Sword as well, I conspired a story that involved both of them and Dendy together.

I will let you all judge the results since this was admittedly very quickly dashed off.
