A few weeks later

The girl got used to being in there with Micheal, she would sometimes vent to him. He even found himself listening.

He could understand her anger, and most of what she was feeling. But sometimes he wished someone would visit him, but then again every one was probably too scared to, even if someone would want to.

"I have another question," She asked. He looked at her. "Why don't you ever talk? Don't you ever have anything you want to talk about, or let out?" He grabbed the mask he made her.

He heard her talking to someone about things she liked, and he made the mask based off of it. Her favorite colors were blue and purple, and she liked roses, so he painted blue and purple roses on the white mask. It also had dark green vines, and leaves.

He flipped it over, and grabbed his paintbrush he used for detailed things. And he started writing on the inside of the mask.

After a minute he gave her the mask, "Thank you," She said, it was beautiful. She read what he wrote.

Just in case you want to hide from the world. And to answer your question, it's just easier this way.

She put it on, and looked at him, he nodded, "I really like it," She said, "Thank you," He nodded his head.

She wore it for a while, but eventually she took it off, and put it next to her bed. She looked at the ceiling, and sighed.

She wondered what Micheal would talk about if he talked.

The next day

He was laying on his bed, and staring off into space. Alyssa was looking around the room, and looking at the mask he was in the middle of making. He stood up, and she backed up, she was still afraid of him.

He looked down at her, and she sat back down on her bed. "I'm sorry, I didn't touch it, I'm sorry, please don't be angry." She was nervous.

He laid back down, and sighed.

A few years later

Micheal was laying in bed, and he was listening to talking outside. He didn't know what was going on, but it sounded bad. He started to feel protective of the girl, who said her name was Alyissa, but went by Alice.

The door opened and he looked up, she was crying, and the guys behind her were yelling, and grinding against her. They were trying to rape her, Micheal got up, and hit one of the guys in the head with a chain that he liked to weararound his wrist, mutipule times, and hesmashed the guy's head against the wall till he died.

Then he turned around and saw Alyissa crying.

"Micheal, I need to tell you about something" She said, he put his hand on her shoulder, and tilted his head. "I'm pregnant," He looked at her, and back at the men.

He took his favorite mask off the wall, and switched it with the one he was wearing. And took her by her hand. "Please don't do anything we are going to regret, Micheal."

He kept walking, and they ran into a security guard.

"Oh, guys. Let's get you to your cell, and we'll get you some water, sweetheart he told her." Micheal got angry, he grabbed the man and into a chokehold.

The man started kicking, and Micheal threw him into the glass window, and stabbed him with a shard of glass multiple times.

When the man was dead, he grabbed his badge, and used that to get out. He picked her up, bridal style, so she didn't have to walk. She held onto him tightly, and he walked out of the building, with her still in his arms.

"Micheal, what are you doing? Please stop!"

He ignored her, and took her to his old house, he carried her to his old room, and flipped the mattress over, and put a sheet from the closet on it. He made sure it was clean, and beat the dust off of it.

He pointed to the bed, and she sat down on it. Micheal walked out of the house, and stole a few cases of bottled water, and shampoo.

He came back and filled the bathtub with the water, and cleaned himself off. Then he cut his hair with his knife. And Alyissa helped him out with it. He also bleached it, and combed it back.

"Micheal?" He sat down on the bed next to her, and sighed. "Please, take off your mask, I want to see your face." He slowly shook his head. "Micheal, please. I haven't seen you without your mask, and I've known you for years."

Distant talking snapped his attention back. "Go, get me a beer, dipshit."

"Okay, okay, fine." Another voice said.

He got up, and picked up his knife that he put on the table.

"Micheal, please, let them be. Please, let's just relax." He looked at her. "Together,"

His look behind his mask softened, and he put his knife back on the table. And laid in bed with her. He wrapped his arms around her.

The next day

He went out, he wanted to get some things. He stole a blowup mattress, some food, and water. He was glad no one told him to take off the mask, although he did get some stares.

He came back, and gave Alyissa some water, and the bed, and put a sheet on it. He tossed the box in the garbage, and she laid down on the air mattress. He gave her a pillow, and sat down on the old mattress.

"Thank you, Micheal." She said, he looked up, and nodded. "Why don't you ever talk?" He shrugged, and looked back at the ground. He missed hiding behind his hair, but he had to look normal.

He remembered where the other mask was, and he ripped up a plank from the floor. And grabbed the white mask, with the brown hair. He took off his other one, without looking at Alyissa, and put on the white one.

It covered his whole head, and he looked up. He put his knife on the table, and laid down on his old bed.

"Cool mask, where did you get it?" He looked at her, "I mean, all of your masks are cool, but that one is too." She paused, "I'll quit talking,"

He laid down on the old mattress, the events of the day were sinking in. He was going to be a dad, he was free.

He didn't feel anything at that moment, it was just weird. He looked at her, she was falling asleep, and he wanted to go to sleep as well.

He wondered what would happen in the near future.
