"The guests are here for the driveby" Solomon texts me from his bedroom. "I have a surprise for you outside" I tease my daughter. "Please show me" excited, she requests. "You must help me out of the bed and into my wheelchair first" I instruct her. Obediently, Avalon helps me into my wheelchair. Solomon accompanies us outside where a birthday parade of cars await Avalon. I use a video camera app on my cellphone to record her priceless cute reaction. She receives gifts and cards from our neighbors and friends. Solomon puts them on a nearby table. Wearing a mask, Drizella walks over from her house. She bears a gift for Avalon. We practice social distancing. "Are you feeling?" Drizella asks me. "I am on the mend. Your birth took a huge toll on my body many years ago. I am still dealing with the aftereffects" I joke around with her. "Francis and Dizzy send their love and well wishes" Dizzy discloses.
