Wah-ha! I did add a second chapter! So there. This is more like a bonus thingy then a real chapter, though. Winry reads the letter and replies. Read and review!

-----------

Winry's mind surveyed the letter with a small, expectant sigh.

The sky was dotted with clouds, and the tree she was under shielded all but her legs from its rays. Her cotton dress padded her rear from the dewed grass and soaked in the moist, much to her discomfort.

"I'm sorry for not writing, Win. Things have been crazy in Central. All the tips we've received concerning the Philosopher's stone have been dead ends, and… Al and I both miss you a lot."

She frowned, for the weeks not made any changes on the typical Edward. She half-heartedly sewed her eyes along the remaining words.

"Especially me."

Her cheeks flushed a light ember. This was new twist to the usual update he wrote.

"We're thinking of stopping by in a few weeks. My automail could use a checkup, even though I've been careful to take care of it. So keep that wrench to yourself, 'kay Win?"

She let out a small huff at the last comment. He was still the same insensitive shrimp she had known eight months ago. Even if he was being careful with his automail, and coming to visit her.

"God, Winry, have I ever told you?

"I love you…

"Love, Edward Elric."

Winry's mouth relaxed, falling open slightly, unconsciously running her eyes over his confession and let reality flame her cheeks vermillion.

Her reply was short, but at the moment, there was nothing else more important on her mind to include.

"I love you too, Edward.

"Come home soon.

"Love, Winry Rockbell."

The creased imprint of a tear stalking her cursive emphasized the signature.
