Luigi smiled to himself as he walked back towards the apartment to meet up with Saitama and Genos. The past month or so had gone quite well, all things considered. Tatsumaki had been much more open to close physical contact, showing their relationship was progressing well and that made them both happy. While she hadn't arranged a meetup with her sister yet for a face to face talk, they were exchanging electronic messages regularly now, and he could tell that was making them both happy. Tatsumaki had explained that she hadn't mentioned anything about the two of them to her sister because, as she put it, she wanted to smooth out old issues between them before giving her sister something new to start picking at, and that sisters were apparently a lot more aggressive in how they talked about relationships than brothers were. Luigi didn't really understand that, as his only past experience talking relationships with Mario had been asking for advice on how to convince Daisy he didn't see her that way, and Mario had no clue, but he trusted Tatsumaki to know what she was talking about.
Outside of his budding surprise relationship, life in City Z was going well. Any monster encounter still filled him with fear, especially when he was called in to act as an S Class, but it was getting easier and easier to master the fear and do what was necessary. He was always rather shaken afterwards, but Tatsumaki had taken to gently gripping him in her telekinetic aura once the fight ended anytime they were assigned together, a subtle reminder only he noticed that she was there for him. That always calmed him down and helped him deal, letting him speak to any reporters that were there in a calm tone...though he still hated giving speeches or press releases, and let someone else do that if anyone better with public speaking was available.
...the immense fan club he'd somehow managed to accrue by being awkward on camera was more than a little unnerving, especially with some of the fan mail - not all in written form - he received as a result. Thankfully, Tatsumaki was understanding about that...somewhat...probably helped that she could tell just how disturbing Luigi himself found it...
Training with Saitama had gone quite well. He was starting to get a better handle on exactly how strong he was, which meant he was able to keep collateral damage down when he fought. Saitama and Genos were both quite impressed with that...as was everyone else, apparently, as part of the reason S Class Heroes were only called in at what Saitama referred to as the 'Godzilla Threshold' was because most of them were such powerhouses that the city around them took nearly as much damage as whatever they were called in to fight, making Luigi's ability to deliver such power with such precision exceptionally valued by the Hero Association and the populace. He might not be quite at the level of the higher ranks in terms of raw power, but he easily eclipsed those in A Class and below while being able to keep damage down. Of course, this did mean the Association was calling him in a lot more than other S Class Heroes, which meant more fights...but he did need the practice.
Still, as he moved to unlock the door to the apartment, he was calm, relaxed, and happy. Everything seemed to be going just perfectly...
"Give me your key," Saitama stated calmly as Luigi opened the door.
"E-eh?" Luigi asked in surprise. "B-but why?"
"Because the physical side of your training is over," Saitama explained calmly as he easily snatched the key away. "If you go any further in the physical training, you run the risk of losing your emotions to it like I did, and you didn't want that. You only wanted to be a better Luigi...which means now it's time to prove to yourself that you can face those things that your physical training can't help with. And that starts with finding your own place and living on your own for a while."
"A-and you didn'ta warn me?" Luigi managed to ask, understanding if still a little hurt at how callous it seemed.
"You don't have to pack and head out until after dinner," Saitama pointed out calmly.
"I managed to talk him down from having your bags on the porch with a note," Genos offered apologetically. "But he was rather insistent about you facing this with as little warning as you got for anything else you've dealt with here. He said you could handle it, and that it would be good for you..." Genos managed a smirk. "And if he gave you too much time to argue, he might cave if you got weepy."
"Do you want out, too?" Saitama demanded, his brows slightly furrowed.
"You said my training isn't complete yet, Sensei," Genos countered with a teasing smirk.
Luigi let out a soft sigh. "I suppose it'a makes sense," he admitted ruefully. "And...it is good you aren't giving me'a time to slip into old bad habits." Taking a seat at the table, he began to eat his portion. "Though it would'a been nice if you gave me time to find a place. Where am I supposed to'a go tonight?"
"I'm sure your girlfriend could put you up for a night or two until you find an opening," Saitama pointed out with a slight smirk.
"I-I couldn't ask her that!" Luigi gasped out in shock. "What about her reputation?"
"I don't genuinely believe anyone would dare risk Tatsumaki's wrath by speculating about why she's putting someone up for a night or two," Genos pointed out flatly. "Besides, you can be discreet."
Luigi let off a worried sigh. This was not how he expected things to go.
Tatsumaki sighed happily to herself as she began preparing for bed. This past month, she could genuinely say that she was...happy with her life, something she hadn't thought she would ever say again. She was rebuilding her relationship with her sister, she was actually starting to talk - a bit - to other Heroes, and...yes, she could admit it to herself, she owed it all to the big, green, goofball she'd fallen for. She glanced around her penthouse apartment. It was really too big for just her, but she wasn't about to settle for a smaller space when she was Rank 2 S Class. At least, that had been her attitude when she'd first gotten the place. Still, the kitchen and dining area were nice, the lounge was relaxing, and the bathroom a place of divine craftsmanship...but the bed had always been too big for her tastes, endlessly reminding her of just how small she was physically. Still, with her eventual plans, the size of the bed would be a plus now...if she ever got up the courage to ask Luigi to visit her here. This being her apartment was public knowledge, after all, and their relationship was still being kept out of the public eye.
A knock on the door startled her. Nobody she knew personally - if it could be called that - visited her here physically, and no one else in the building dared to disturb her. Curious, she floated over and used her abilities to open the door...and stared up in surprise as she saw who was there. "Luigi?" she gasped out, though quickly hushed her voice before pulling him inside and shutting the door. "What are you doing here?" She then noticed the bags on his back. "Did Saitama throw you out?" she demanded angrily. "Why?"
"For my own good'a," Luigi explained as he stood there until Tatsumaki gestured him into a seat. "He's taken me as far in his training as I wanna go. Any further...and I run the risk of not bein' a'me anymore."
Tatsumaki nodded thoughtfully. They had talked a bit about the training, and the long term effects it had had on Saitama. She wouldn't admit it, but she had been getting worried about something similar happening to Luigi, which was why she was glad to see him still shaking with nerves after each fight. "But why does that mean kicking you out?"
"To make a'me face those things that training doesn't help with," he admitted as he took a few calming breaths. "It makes sense, but...he didn'ta even give me time to find my own space. I was'a hoping I could use your comp to-"
"You can stay here a few days," Tatsumaki interrupted, a bit more forward than she intended. "I'll help you find a spot that suits you."
Luigi blinked at her in surprise, then smiled warmly. "Thank you, Maki-chan," he offered affectionately. "I hadn't wanted ta impose..."
Tatsumaki managed a chuckle. "It's not like I don't have the space," she admitted deprecatingly, gesturing to the size of the suite.
Letting out a relaxed sigh, Luigi set his bags on the floor. "So...where should I set up?" he asked curiously, glancing from the sofa in the lounge area to the wide spaces on the floors.
Tatsumaki blinked in surprise, then smiled a trifle wickedly. It was a bit sooner than she'd planned, but she wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth when the perfect opportunity literally dropped into her lap. "We'll talk about that in a bit," she offered warmly. "Let me just take care of something first." With that, she seized a package from inside her bedside table and quickly floated into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.
"O...okay...?" Luigi offered in confusion.
Once Tatsumaki was changed, she used her abilities to affect a few other things in the rest of the apartment. The lights dimmed slowly, a few candles ignited themselves...and slow, soft, smooth saxophone jazz began playing from the radio...and just as she felt all of Luigi's attention on the bathroom door, she stepped out.
She hadn't gone with Silver Fang's suggestion of what nightclothes to wear for this, instead picking something that felt more her but still managed to toe the line between playful and sexy in a way that didn't feel like it was trying too hard. It was a sheer, translucent, green silk nightie with a high neck - she knew her cleavage wasn't all that impressive - that clung to her all the way down to her waist leaving her arms bare, almost but not quite concealing what lay beneath the fabric in a way that managed to enhance it. From the waist down it hung more loosely, with slits coming up her hips since she felt that was her most womanly attribute and thus she wanted to draw attention there. It also had green, translucent gloves and stockings that went up to just past her elbows and knees, but leaving her fingers and toes bare as the stockings hooked on her second toe and the gloves around her middle finger by golden rings. She let her legs lead her out despite that she came out floating, if only to lessen her seeming like a 'little girl' by somewhat reducing the height difference.
She had expected - and was rather pleased by - Luigi's face rapidly alternating between pale and flushed as he stared at her. What she hadn't expected - and wasn't pleased by - was him standing up all of a sudden. "I should go," he managed to stammer out. "I really shouldn't have imposed, this isn't pro-"
Before he could say anymore, she was in front of him, having levitated herself to eye level and pressing a hand against his chest, letting that contact push him backwards. "Why?" she asked as calmly as she could manage as he unwittingly backed towards her bed. "I...I thought what I wanted was obvious. I...thought you wanted this too. Was...was I wrong?" She didn't want to think that maybe, despite everything he said, he didn't actually see her as a grown woman, or that being confronted like this that he wasn't actually physically attracted to her but just emotionally...
"But this isn't proper!" he finally managed to gasp out. "We'a haven't even kissed yet!"
Tatsumaki blinked in surprise for a moment...and then buried her face in his chest and laughed. Of course that's what it was. The big green goofball was a true gentleman, honorable and proper. "Is that's what's been holding you back all this time?" she asked, her tone amused and impish.
"W-well..." Luigi managed, plainly so far out of his depth he needed scuba gear.
"Then let's fix that," she purred before lunging forward, her lips finding his unerringly.
Fubuki frowned as she stalked straight to Tatsumaki's door, the latest issue of a tabloid magazine all but crushed in her hands. The main story was likely the most politely worded insinuation she'd ever read, but despite not stating anything flat out the implication was pretty plain. One picture showed Tatsumaki inviting the new S Class Hero 'Green Mario' into her apartment, and the next showed the devastation to the surrounding city blocks Fubuki could still see out the windows from the 'mysterious earthquake' that had shaken the area, managing to not hurt anyone but still leave only Tatsumaki's building standing undamaged. Despite the article virtuously declaring it to be coincidence - repeatedly, to an almost excessive degree - the implication was plain...and Fubuki had been close enough to see Tatsumaki's power running through the area. She knew exactly what had happened, and that was something she and her sister were definitely going to talk about.
She didn't bother knocking. With how much power Tatsumaki had burned - and how exhausted that meant she was - psychic backlash was the last thing she had to worry about. As the door slammed open before her, she saw straight into the bedroom and the two naked figures intertwined on the bed. "Ta...tsu...ma...ki..." she growled out as she floated in, her eyes glowing as she was surrounded by her aura of power. She was ready to lay down the law with her sister about sharing 'important developments' like this. She was ready to put the fear of her into whoever thought he was actually worthy of her big sis. She was ready-
VUUUURRRRRRMMMMM-shk!
...to deal with a rather unexpected draft?
Tatsumaki slowly sat up, taking in what had happened before turning to the man sitting up beside her. "Luigi?" she stated calmly.
"Y-yes, Maki-chan?" he asked awkwardly.
"I know the type of man you are, and I know my first thoughts as to what just happened are probably wrong," Tatsumaki continued...far too calmly. "So I'm giving you a chance to give what I'm sure is a rational explanation."
"O-okay-"
"However, I suggest you give it fast," Tatsumaki continued as she began to glow, showing Fubuki that she apparently had reserves of power she hadn't known about, given her exhaustion showed with her movements. "After all, I'm having a very hard time staying calm when I can't think of why your first reaction after last night to my little sister showing up is to strip her naked."
Luigi audibly swallowed nervously. "Well...when she came in all glowy like'a that, at first I thought she was a ghost..."
"Uh huh..." Tatsumaki prompted, a frown still on her face.
Fubuki could see where he was coming from, she had to admit, though she wasn't entirely sure how that led to-
"So I grabbed your vacuum cleaner," Luigi finished.
"...what?" Tatsumaki and Fubuki both demanded in matching confused tones.
"It'a makes sense in context, I swear!"
