Chapter 1 the twist in our story

September 4th

A petite violet-eyed black-haired woman who appears in her early twenties sits up in her first-class seat as the plane touches down at Tokyo International Airport.

The woman's name?

Rukia Kuchiki sister to Byakuya Kuchiki, CEO of Kageyoshi INC, an international business company that focuses primarily on electronics.

Being Billionaires, the Kuchiki family has several properties all around the world. Before Hisana's death, their family lived in a place called Oregon for the past five years. Oregon is a state in the pacific northwest region on the west coast of the United States.

It's been a long time since Rukia's been in Japan.

After the pilot announces that they were able to leave. Rukia steps off the plane, quickly remedying her misplaced clothing from the long journey.

She's stunning in her choice of outfit choosing to wear a black Thigh-high skater skirt with an elegant violet Halter top that matches her eyes. with a white light fall jacket She pairs her outfit with her favorite Chappy high-top Converse.

After squeezing through the hoards of people, Rukia makes it to the baggage area and grabs her suitcases. She then wanders along towards the front of the terminal.

After pushing through more people, she finally reaches her destination.

She notices a Red-haired man with tattoos on his eyebrows holding a sign reading 'Rukia Kuchiki.'

Rukia gracefully walks her way over to the man. "Hello, my Name is Rukia Kuchiki." She declares as she steps closer to the man dragging her suitcases along the way.

The man seems to consider this for a moment before giving her a small smile."Hello Ms. Kuchiki. My name is Renji. I'll be escorting you to the University in Karakura." Renji Instructs as they walk out toward the parking lot. "We will arrive in Karakura town in about an hour," Renji explains as they walk to a black Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV with tinted windows.

"Great!" Rukia exclaims as Renji opens the back door, then grabs her suitcases and places them into the trunk.

Rukia jumps into the seat shutting the door behind her before she straps herself into the seatbelt.

Renji shuts the trunk before walking around to the driver's side, he gets in and then starts the car. After pulling out of the airport Renji gets on the highway to drive toward Karakura.

During their travel, Rukia stares out of the window, her mind beginning to run.

I wonder what the University is like. After my dear Sister's death, Brother thought it would be sensible to send me away to Karakura Town, a small town near western Tokyo. It's where I grew up, but I haven't been here since I was sixteen…

I left so much behind that day… mainly my best friend since I was five years old… I feel we were falling for each other but fate wasn't on our side...

I hope I don't run into anyone I knew… I don't believe I handle any additional suffering...

What if, someone recognizes that I'm the Kuchiki heiress?! That would be terrible … the press would swarm…

I never really wanted to be head of the Kuchiki industry, but after Hisana's death a month ago, I'm the sole beneficiary after Brother retires.

I didn't want to abandon my brother, but I settled with no choice. That's how I ended up here…. If I'm honest with myself, I've often wished to become an artist…. I adore painting. It's my passion….

After daydreaming for a good while, maybe an hour later Renji speaks, pulling Rukia from her reflections. "Well, we're here." He announces as they pull up a long pathway. Trees line the entire parkway. As the car proceeds closer to the university.

Rukia watches out the window and gasps.

It's incredible!! Large stone buildings with a manicured lawn along with an abundance of trees I think I'll like it here.

Renji arrives at the main entrance. He then gets out and opens the car door. "Welcome to your new home, Ms. Kuchiki, I'll have your suitcases taken to your room."

"Okay," Rukia acknowledgments as she slips out of the seat and jumps onto the driveway.

She strides ahead and turns around to wave goodbye as she glides into the entrance hall.

Once inside she's in a vast white hallway with multiple small lecture halls that line the corridor.

After admiring the artwork that lines the foyer She proceeds to take a long stroll down the hall. Finally, after five minutes, she arrives at a massive door.

She strides inside and heads to the desk near the entrance where a small woman with brown hair reclines glancing at a computer. "Hello, I'm a new student here."

"Ah, yes, you must be Rukia Kuchiki." The woman exclaims as she extends to grab a stack of papers. "This is everything you'll need." She clarifies merrily.

"Great, thank you so much! Rukia proclaims as she clasps the bundle of papers. She glances around and sights a chair.

She walks over to the seat and sits down. Rukia shuffles through the sheets stopping at her class schedule. She promptly gazes at it noticing her first class is History in hall 60. She brings out the campus map and glances it over. She quickly acknowledges that the Entrance building holds lecture halls 1-100. The first floor holds 1-50, and the second floor has 50-100.

Rukia soon stands and strides over to the door she mumbles thank you again to the woman as she steps out of the office. Striding back down the hall.

Rukia arrives halfway as she halts at the stairs that lead to the next level, beginning to ascend the stairs after making It up one set, she continues walking up the stairs, still analyzing her papers.

I'll need to find my dorm later She thinks as she rounds a corner.

Suddenly Rukia stumbles into somebody. She feels herself tumble backward.

Shit! This is going to hurt She thinks as she closes her eyes to avoid seeing her death. Before she falls down the lengthy stairs, Warm arms wrap around her abdomen, gripping her in place.

Peeking through her lashes, she stiffens as she notices a man with Orange hair and beautiful amber eyes…

Eyes, Rukia would never forget...

Five years ago

Ichigo reclined next to Rukia as they stargazed on a dark, clear night. "Rukia… There's something I wanted to tell you. I think I'm in love with you." Ichigo admitted, his amber eyes soft and optimistic, he stared at Rukia tenderly as a blush stained his complexion.

Rukia had wished so badly to confess to her best friend that she loved him too. Her heart shattered as she realized this was goodbye...

I have to end this... I may never be back... Rukia thought as she remembered her brother announcing that their family would be moving away tomorrow for his work…

I hate him right now!!!

"Ichigo...I'm sorry….I wish things could be different.." She murmured as she stood up and turned away as she strived not to cry.

"What the hell are you talking about, Rukia!?!" Ichigo urged as he attempted to drag her to him, which made Rukia whimper.

"This Is Goodbye, Ichigo." She whispered as she shoved him off of her and sprinted into the darkness.

"Rukia, wait!!" Ichigo shouted after her.

Present

Ichigo gazes down at the tiny woman in his arms. She comes across as familiar, but why!?! He thinks as he's about to question if she's alright. The women's eyes glance up at him, and he freezes.

"R-Rukia?!" He whispers as surprise engulfs his system.

"Ichigo…" Rukia murmurs as she glances away. "I'm sorry, I must go," Rukia whispers as she wiggles out of his grasp and runs up the stairs hastily away from Ichigo, leaving him entirely dumbfounded.

Rukia… you've come back… he thinks as he watches her run away.

Ichigo quickly shakes himself from his stupor before heading his way to his dorm building as it's his free period.

After arriving in his room, he settles on his bed, running his hands through his neck-length orange hair as he sighs deeply...

Rukia, It's been a long time…
