Time Period: A Flashback and an Alternate Universe
Date: 12-20-2004
Situation: Ivy aka Drizella goes into labor with Destiny (aka Dizzy (long overdue)) during Stoneybrooke's annual Christmas party. Stoneybrooke is actual Storybrooke in this alternate universe.
Ivy's p.o.v
After eating a heavy meal, my husband Toby is ready to dance off his food. "Please join me in this slow dance" Toby invites me. "I will dance you, honey" I gladly accept. Toby helps me out of my chair. Hand in hand, he escorts me to the dance floor. Unexpectedly, my water breaks and the contractions start coming for real. My dress is soaking wet. I lean on my husband for support. "Toby, my water just broke. I am in labor" I alert my husband. He is thrilled and yet afraid about going to the hospital. Everyone including my own family congratulate us as we leave the ballroom. Their well wishes and encouragement give us courage to face the unknown. Apart of myself fears dying in childbirth though. My daughter Destiny is long overdue. Doctor Wallace performs an episiotomy due to her large size. Toby is my strong and stable rock. Through blood, sweat, and tears, I deliver our precious baby girl. She struggles to breathe at first. Being stuck in the birth canal could've contributed to her breathing problems. Toby and me are overcome with emotion when we do hear her cry. Who knew we would receive our miracle five days before Christmas?
