Chapter 10
Family matters
Isshin Kurosaki runs into the room and tackles the Petite warrior.
"Ahh!" Rukia cries as she falls off the couch onto the floor, locked into Isshin's embrace.
"My third daughter, I've missed you so much!"
Ichigo gets up from the floor, yanking his father off of the petite women. "Get off of her!" He yells as he uppercuts his father, sending him tumbling to the ground.
"My son! How could you not tell me Rukia-Chan is here?!" Isshin cries as he jumps up quickly, recovering from the blow.
"I didn't tell you because you're crazy! Didn't you tackle the poor women?!?" Ichigo demands as he grabs Rukia's hand and assists her up.
"Thanks." Rukia whispers. Ichigo gives her a small smile before he turns back to his father as his amber eyes darken.
"But! She is my third daughter, and I have a right!" He defends.
"Shut it, dad! How are we even related?!? You're so embarrassing!" Karin yells.
Suddenly Isshin pulls out a small portrait of Masaki and begins to cry loudly. "My dearest wife, how can our children be so cruel! Where did I go wrong!?"
Everyone watches on as they sweatdrop.
Ichigo and Rukia sit back on the couch as Ichigo's father cries before there's another knock on the door. Rukia stands up. "I'll get it this time!" She says as she rushes to the door to reveal Uryu Orihime and Chad.
"Hey, everyone!" She greets happily, and she lets them inside. "Sit where you'd like Yuzu making dinner, and it should be ready soon. We have a lot to talk about."
Everyone takes a seat as Rukia begins explaining. "Errus the God of Destiny and time he sent us all back in time...you see Aizen attacked the Soul Society... ichigo rushed to our side to help fight, but it wasn't enough...Aizen rebuilt his army and brought the fight to us. Many of the Shinigami perished in the fight... Errus used a green clock to put us all back in time then erased everyone's memories".
"That sounds impossible." Uryu states as he pushes up his glasses.
"Yes, I'm aware, but it's the truth.."
"I believe you!" Orihime exclaims as she stands up "I had a dream where we were saving Kuchiki-San" Chad nods in agreement.
Ichigo walks towards his group of friends."You more than welcome to stay for dinner."
"That's Okay," The three sit up as they stand and walk towards the door.
"Wait! Didn't you guys want to stay for dinner?"
"Oh no, it's okay, thanks, Yuzu-Chan! I've got to go meet up with Tatsuki," Orihime chirps before she leaves out of the door.
"No, thank you, I've got stuff too, do," Chad mumbles as he leaves, leaving Uryu behind. It seems he's about to refuse before Yuzu comes over to him.
"Cousin Uryu! Please stay for dinner! You haven't come around much since our mother's death!"
Uryu stands there for a moment before he smiles a soft smile. "Sure, Yuzu." he assures as he shuts the door and walks over to the couch.
Isshin sits there gazing at his son and Rukia. Before he cracks a smile,
"I'm going to help Yuzu with dishing out plates Karin Uryu please come along" Without a word everyone is out of the room leaving Rukia and Ichigo alone.
Ichigo notices Rukia staring out into nothing. "Hey It's going to be okay" Ichigo promises as he grabs a hold of her hand. Rukia violet eyes regain focus
"Thanks Ichigo" Rukia says giving Ichigo a small smile.
"Dinners ready! Can we eat in the living room?" Yuzu calls.
"Yeah" Rukia calls back as Yuzu brings Ichigo and Rukia their plates she goes back for her while the rest of the group shuffles in as
Rukia turns on the TV and puts Netflix on before selecting an Action movie.
Everyone sits back and eats their food as the movie begins. Rukia sits next to Ichigo and eats her food quickly.
10 minutes into the movie Yuzu grabs all the plates and puts them in the dishwasher before returning to the living room. Rukia curls up next to Ichigo placing her legs on his lap as Ichigo pulls her closer the couple continues to watch the movie.
15 minutes pass and Rukia's so comfortable she falls asleep. Ichigo gazes at his family watching them become tired as well ichigo checks his phone to see it's 7:30.
"Well son me and the girls are going to head home" Ichigo's father says as they stand up and walk towards the door.
"Bye ichigo! Love you" Yuzu and Karin say as they follow their dad.
"I'm leaving as well Ichigo I have to study for a test goodnight I'll lock the bottom lock on my way out" Uryu says as he leaves leaving the couple alone.
Ichigo gazes down at the small woman curled up on his side before smiling softly. "Rukia?" Ichigo questions but the woman doesn't stir.
Ichigo runs his hand across her thigh causing Rukia to shiver in her sleep. "Rukia" Ichigo calls as he applies pressure on her thigh.
"Ichigo" Rukia moans quietly in her sleep before Violet eyes open hazey
"Are you tired, Midget?" Ichigo asks her softly.
"Yeah it's been a long day" Rukia exclaims while yawning.
Without another word Ichigo carries Rukia to her bedroom before lying her down on her bed.
"I wanna sleep with you!" Rukia pouts as Ichigo pulls her blanket over her small frame.
"As much as I would love that I don't think Byakuya would approve." Ichigo tells her as he kisses her forehead "Get some rest okay?"
Rukia sighs before she rolls over "Okay" she agrees before falling asleep.
Ichigo turns away from her bed and walks over to her light turning it off before he shuts the door behind him.
Ichigo then goes into the kitchen and makes Rukia's brother a plate of food before placing it into the microwave.
He then walks over to the sofa before finishing the movie they had started.
Two hours later Ichigo, unaware that he had fallen asleep, is awakened by his phone ringing. "Hello" he answers sleepily.
"Kurosaki please open the door" Byakuya says coolly.
"Ah yeah sorry I must have fallen asleep" Ichigo pulls himself up from the sofa before walking over to the door unlocking it and opening it for Byakuya and Renji.
The two men step inside taking off their shoes before moving further into the dorm.
"Are you two hungry? There's leftovers for dinner. I can also make tea" Ichigo asks.
"Yes that would be great" Byauka says as he glances around the living room.
"Where is Rukia?" He asks as he sits on the sofa gracefully.
"She's in her bedroom sleeping she fell asleep when my family was over earlier"
"I see..Very well she needs rest please bring us some food and tea"
Ichigo surprised with Byakuya niceness just nods and walks into the kitchen and begins making tea and heating up the food from earlier.
Once that plate's done Ichigo makes Renji one as well warning it up in the microwave after the foods done he takes the two their dinner before checking on the tea seeing it's done.
Ichigo pours the tea into a teapot and grabs some tea cups before placing them on a tray before taking it into the living room setting it down on the table Ichigo turns towards the TV "Would you like me to change it?" he asks.
"No, I actually enjoy this movie" Byakuya says as he takes a sup out of his tea he had poured.
"No problem" Ichigo says before he stands up "I'll get extra blankets and pillows for when you two are ready for bed"
Byakuya watches the young man leave before turning to Renji "Do you think I should allow my sister to be with him?"
'Yes Captain I believe Ichigo will help Rukia a lot more than we can after all he knows her best from both lifes" Renji says quietly.
"I agree once we return to Soul Society we will begin the proper Courting paperwork whether Rukia wishes to stay in the world of the living or to return to the Soul Society I have no doubt Ichigo will follow."
"What about the business Sir?"
"We will sign it over to Kurosaki's family"
"Very well Captain" Renji agrees as Ichigo returns with the blankets and pillows.
"Sorry it's not much I hope it's enough" ichigo exclaims as he places the stuff on the chair. "The sofa pulls out to two full mattresses" Ichigo explains as he takes the two men's plates before heading into the kitchen rinsing them then places them into the dishwasher.
Ichigo goes back into the living room and notices the movies over. "Would you like to watch another one?" He asks.
"Yes" Byakuya replies.
"Okay here you can pick," Ichigo says as he hands him the remote.
Ichigo checks his phone to see the time is 10:00 pm "I'm tired so I'm going to go to bed if you need to anything my rooms the one on the left the bathroom is next to Rukia's door" explains Ichigo as he goes to walk out of the living room.
"Goodnight Byakuya. Renji"
"Goodnight Ichigo" Renji says as he yawns.
"Goodnight Kurosaki" Byakuya says as Ichigo goes into his bedroom. The two Shinagami watch the movie Byakuya had picked before the two decide to pull out the mattresses.
They take off the sofa cushions and pull the beds out before the two grab the blankets and pillows and lay down and fall asleep.
The next morning Rukia wakes up and rolls out of bed.
She uses the bathroom before heading to the kitchen to make breakfast.
She begins making eggs and pancakes when Renji stirs in his sleep.
She laughs quietly to herself as she mixes the batter after its all mixed up she grabs a ladle scoops up some batter then begins to ladle the pancakes on to the stove griddle after placing 8 1 inch pancakes down she watches the bubbles form before flipping them over.
She notices that the are a perfect golden brown color she beams happy with herself.
She moves onto cracking the eggs and putting them into the bowl before whisking them after she done with that she places them aside.
She pulls her now cooked pancakes off the stove and puts them on a plate.
She turns that side of the stove off as she grabs a pan and places on the stove top turning the temperature to medium low Rukia pours the eggs in and begins cooking.
After a few minutes. She makes everyone plates before going to wake ichigo she enters his bedroom to see him spread out on the bed she gently shakes him awake
"I made breakfast" ahe exclaims cheerfully
Ichigo rubs sleep from his eyes "Okay I'll be out in a minute." He says as she walks back into the living room to wake her brother and Renji.
"Nii-sama! Renji! I made breakfast!" The two wake up and quickly stand up and walk over to the dining room table before sitting down. Ichigo joins them a moment later as Rukia pours everyone Orange juice.
They all eat quietly before Byakuya speaks "I have decided to sign over the business to your family Kurosaki" Everyone stares in shock most of all at Ichigo
"Huh?!" He exclaims.
