Time Period: A Flashback
Date: Sometime in December of 2020 (seven weeks before 1/9/2021 (Tiana's miscarriage- an ectopic pregnancy)
Scene 1: A Doctor's Office
Situation: A pregnant Tiana has her first doctor appointment
A doctor (putting Tiana's feet in stirrups): I am going to check and calculate how far along you are.
Tiana (nervous and afraid): Ok
Naomi (holding Tiana's hand): Just relax and breathe, honey
Tiana (trying to relax): Ok, mom
The Doctor (examining Tiana): You are seven weeks along.
Tiana and Naomi: Seven weeks?!
The Doctor: Is there a problem?
Tiana: There is no problem here. I haven't told my husband and daughter about the pregnancy. I am not in the safe zone yet. I don't want to give them false hope.
Naomi: You will not lose the baby. You will not give them false hope.
