Tracie's Black-eye

Chapter 1: The Signal
Tracie Anderson and Noah Puckerman talked on Skype for the third week in a row as General Michael Young looked over Noah's shoulder. Then Tracie made the sign for domestic abuse as she looked at Blaine before ending the call. A week later, Noah's entire unit was on Skype with Tracie and they noticed she had a black eye. Blaine was behind her when she made the call and Noah's unit cracked their knuckles. Before they end the call, Noah asks Tracie, "Remember what Bruce Banner said, Squirt?" Tracie smiles as Blaine's face goes white and she ends the call.
A month after Noah returned to the base, he went with Quinn to see Burt Hummel, and he saw Tracie with an eye patch over her eye. As Burt came out holding Tracie, he says, "Sarah brought her and Kurt here a week ago. Kurt is upstairs, he looks awful, Puck. Kurt told me it started after they ran into Elliott last year. At first, Kurt went to Santana's to get away from Blaine. Then Blaine started demanding that we call when we were in town. Tracie was only Skyping with you, and Sarah taught her that sign. Kurt filed for a divorce before Sarah brought him here, and Kurt made you and Quinn Tracie's godparents. Rachel knows, and in fact she suggested that Quinn be the godmother."
Soon they were in Kurt's room, and he was looking into a mirror, only wearing boxers. He had bruises the same size as Noah's head all over his body, and he broke down when he saw Noah. Quinn helped Kurt put on a silk pajama top and helped him get back into bed. Before Noah asks, "Why didn't you leave before Tracie was hit?"
Kurt snapped back, "You know why, Puck! You probably heard your mother answer that question a lot! When you'd show up at school covered in bruises! Dad made me get a divorce! I didn't want to do it! I still love Blaine!"
After taking Kurt back to the mirror, Noah makes him look in it again. Noah then explains: "Kurt, look at what Blaine did to you! Would he really have done this if he really loved you? Do you really want Tracie to grow up saying she's in a fight club? Tracie has been calling me Uncle Hulk for a year, and she just recently learned the sign for domestic abuse. I thought you and Tracie were dead or in a coma for the past month! I love Tracie like she was my own daughter, Kurt, and you are like my little brother. Yes, I know I was an ass to you for years, but you can't still believe Blaine is a good guy! It took dad leaving and seeing how your dad was with you. Only then did I realize what a dick my dad really was. It took me a while to become a better man, and I know I wasn't the greatest boyfriend to Quinn. Yet I would never hurt her or my son! Although I haven't met him yet, I love him more than life itself!" Then Noah touches Quinn's belly and sheds a tear.
They soon heard Burt yelling at Blaine. Then Noah was downstairs, and holding Blaine up by the neck, growling as Blaine peed on his pants. Blaine runs out of the house as soon as Noah puts him down and everyone starts laughing instantly. Quinn elbows Burt before saying, "I'm so glad you are not with Norah right now, Mr. H." Then Noah looks at her with a raised eyebrow before they laugh again.
After this, Noah found Tracie in another room crying. When she asks, "Uncle Hulk, what did me and Dada do to make Papa so mad at us? Papa got mad at Dada a lot when I was young. He didn't hit me until I tried to save Dada. If Dada looked at or talked to another guy, he always got hurt. You were the only guy he was allowed to talk to alone. Just you, Uncle Hulk. Papa found a picture of you dressed up as The Hulk for Halloween standing next to the guy G' Pa Burt told me played the Hulk on TV. and that this guy signed that Hulk doll you got me. I started telling Papa I would tell you about him hitting Dada and Aunt Sarah taught me that sign after I told her." Then Tracie broke down in Noah's arms as Noah started to sing Lean On Me as Kurt stood in the doorway.

Then Kurt touches Quinn's belly as they remember the last time that they heard that song. Before Quinn hugged Kurt and said, "Keep holding on, Kurt." Which made him chuckle and say, "Puck, you better not sing that song to me too. I don't want Quinn to get the idea that you're leaving her for me!" Noah put Kurt in a headlock and started giving Kurt a noogie. Something Kurt would never let anyone do to him.
Then Noah talked to Kurt alone in his room, saying, "I was raped overseas last year. I told your dad, Karofsky and Quinn after it happened, but I didn't tell Sarah and mom until after I showed them Tracie's black-eye. Look, I'm still straight, but I didn't want you to hear that from someone else. I told Karofsky about Blaine too and he is coming down next week. He just wants to talk to you. He's still single and could be Papa Hulk for Tracie someday."
Kurt chuckles and elbows Noah as he says, "I started talking to him last week on Skype and he blew me a kiss at the end of the call. Ha, we both know if you would have been gay in high school. I might never have gone to Dalton, or met Blaine. I doubt we would have been a couple but we might have been better friends." Noah just chuckled, knowing Kurt was right.
Soon Dave was calling Kurt and Noah could see Kurt's face light up. Then Noah goes back to Tracie's room and sees Quinn asleep, holding Tracie as she sleeps. Then he goes downstairs and sees Burt crying. He just stood by Burt and let him cry before saying, "This is not your fault or mine, Mr. H. You're not the only one that thought Blaine was a good guy. Right now, I feel like taking you to my house and grabbing a couple of rifles."
Burt had to chuckle and say, "Puck, I'm happy Kurt never had a crush on you. Santana told me once she went to your house and thought she was walking into our old house back in Lima, but updated. I know Finn would be the same way, but you are worse in a good way."
Noah looks at the ceiling and says, "Don't tell Kurt, but Quinn and I plan to name our son Burt Finn Puckerman. Because if it wasn't for you or Finn, I might be the one dead or repeating dad's mistakes." Then Noah stormed out after seeing that Blaine had come back. Burt called the cops as Noah started beating Blaine's face as he lay on the ground. It took six police officers to pull Noah off Blaine.
When Blaine awoke in the I.C.U. He saw that Burt and Noah were standing at the end of his bed. In a flash, Rachel walked up to Blaine and punched him in the face. Then she yells, "You lied to me! I hope Dave and Kurt get together, because you've gone crazy!" Soon She lunges at Blaine, but Burt and Noah stop her.
Blaine did get help, but Burt and Noah were still on guard. Soon Kurt canceled the divorce and went back to Blaine. After Noah went back overseas, Quinn moved in with Burt as she waited for the birth of their son. Burt and Quinn would call Kurt every week. Quinn would even go with Burt and Carole when they went to see Kurt.
While Noah was overseas, he Skyped with Tracie again and he saw her make the sign for domestic abuse while looking at Blaine again. Noah tried to keep his cool, but this had Noah's blood boiling inside him. When he got home, Burt was sitting on his front porch. As soon as he got out of his truck, Burt says, "Kurt and Tracie are back with us again. Tracie is in the base hospital with Quinn. Tracie was protecting Kurt and looks worse than Kurt did." Then Burt gets red in the face before breaking down.
After this, Burt and Noah went to the hospital, seeing Tracie on life support when they walked in. Noah takes Tracie's hand and starts singing I'll Stand By You by The Pretenders.

Then he lowered the rail and laid down beside Tracie before kissing her forehead and saying, "You're safe now, Uncle Hulk is here." As he brushed her black hair out of her face and fell asleep, holding her.
Before long, the guys from Noah's unit were there, along with General Young. Then Mike turns to Burt and says, "Puck almost lost it when he saw her make that sign again. I was going to get him an early leave, but he thought Kurt would leave Blaine before she could get hit again. Stacie told me about her being here last week and told me not to tell Puck." Then tears roll down Tracie's face as Noah holds her.
That night, Quinn and Tracie were alone when Quinn began to pray, "God, keep Tracie and Kurt safe. Don't let her die, Lord. She is just a child and needs to live. I know Puck loves her as much as he loves Little Burt. Please, let her live through this. Amen."
