January 25 Year 24 (BNB: Before Narutos Bith)
Night had been tough for the young couple. The morning time was now dawing, sound of local wildlife filled the small room of the cottage. A women sat on the now blood red bed, the blood unfortunately being hers. She sat upwards on the bed, her back against the headboard of the bed and was holding two small bundles in her arms.
Bright blonde and straight hair in the shape of a bobcut framed her face, the bangs hiding her sunken eyes from her husband. Two young children had been born through the night, one boy and one girl. The two had inherited this trait, seeing as her husband also had bright blonde hair as well. The young man sat on the edge of the bed and used his hand to slowly caress the head of the babes. Sadly his attention was quickly drawn away by noise in the distance.
Iwagakure shinobi were after them. The two were being hunted down by their former allies. Before fleeing the village, he had been accused of conspiring with those who would overthrow the Sandaime Tsuchikage. He had even kneeled before the higher ups of the village doing his best to prove his innocence, but it would fall on deaf ears. It was only a matter of time before some evidence would be brought to light, whether that evidence was true or not didn't matter.
That same night he gathered up his wife and the bare necessitys to leave the village. In the rush of leaving the village he didn't take his wifes frail condition into account. There was only a month until the children were to be born. The rough escape from the village and the fast pace at which he carried her caused her to go into labor sooner than scheduled. They were lucky enough to be able to find an abandoned looking cottage in the forests that on Iwagakures border with Kusagakure.
Iwagakure and its Shinobi were cruel in general, only ever caring about completing the objective no matter the costs. They were getting closer and he would need to fight them off in order to have any chance of saving his family. It would be a close to impossible battle for him. His opponents would be probably be a mixture of chunin and jonin, and he had been a career chunin. Sadly he knew that his wife would probably die here, but his children he could save. No way would he let his children be thrown to the cruel and dangerous mines of Iwa.
Looking back to his family he could see tears running down her red cheeks. She had come to terms that she'd never raise her children, never see them grow, go to school, get married. The command went unspoken as she struggled to lift her arms prompting her husband to take the children. He carefully sat down on the bed and did so, a small sad smile was on his face as he did so.
'Go' she mouthed silently, but her husband understood. One last time he kissed his wife. The sudden sound of branches nearby caused him to pull from her quickly and tightening his hold around the bundles in his arms as he ran out the door leaving her behind.
It was not long after during his running away that he noticed that both children at some point had woken up. The boy had inherited his mothers bright ocean blue eyes. His sister on the other hand had took after him, forest green eyes. The two stared curiously at him. His daughter though stared especially hard. This earned a small chuckle from him and it quickly reminded him that they had not yet been named.
With only a few moments of thinking he decided on the name Minato for the boy. This was thier grandfathers name. Since that had been decided he turned his attention to his daughter.
It was at that moment that everything had frozen for the baby girl, at least physically she was a baby but the mind of an adult women was present in her. Since the birth and maybe a bit before that she had been aware of what was going on. Being reborn, a man running through the trees defying the physics of the world. Quickly she had conluded that she had been reborn into a new world. Which world though? her question though had been quickly answered when she heard one word, Minato.
She had read many fanfictions of this very exact moment, oftern fantasising about events such as this happening. The girl had only began to live in her previous world and that made her feel bitter.
A small blue box, like a puzzle being placed together formed before her pulling her from her thoughts.

A new box formed and inside was a list of she realized that all names seemed to be names that fit the era of which she had been reborn into. The list was fairly long but it wasn't long before a name caught her attention, Mei. It was short and simple, exactly as she liked.

There are three stages to each element; Genin, Chunin, and Jonin. Assign one point into an element and you will have genin control and ability to convert your chakra into chosen element. It was simple enough Mei pondered and mentally began to assign her points doing her best to think of the pros and cons of each element.

Without hesitation Mei chose Konohagakure. This is where the main story takes place and all she knew about Naruto takes place there. The most powerful shinobi tend to originate from Konohagakure. Never does she want to end up fighting against the lifes of the Sannin and whatever other S-Rank they send out.
Next we have perks. You are unable to select clan related perks at this moment so we have provided you a list of non-clan related perks. You may choose two perks.
Chakra Powerhouse- You have chakra reserves that dwarf most shinobi your own age.
Chakra Expert- You are able to control you chakra with unnatural ease.
Medic- You have the makings to possibly become a great medic.
Weapons Expert- You like weapons and you tend to pick them up easily.
Stealth Expert- Just like a rat, you are able to sneak about with ease.
Interogator- You have a way with words and a way with torture tactics.
Seal Expert-Seals are easy, at least most of the time.
Sensor- No one can hide from you. You just know where everyone is all the time.
This was probably the most important selection so far. Mei pondered the timeline and what she new. Participating in the Third Shinobi war was unavoidable. She would need to be a titan amongst shinobi just like her brother Minato would be. Which two perks? she pondered. Earlier the game hinted at possibly unlocking a kekkai genkai and she figured that they normally were chakra heavy. Which one could she unlock with water and fire? she was unsure. Also what are the drawbacks of these perks? They seem a bit to good to not have drawbacks.
Chakra Powerhouse and Control Expert were the ones Mei decided on. Large chakra reserves mean more powerful abilities. Control expert would help her control the large reserves.

The world began to move again, the faint feeling of wind notified her of it. That was when she heard the man, her apparent father holding her naming her Mei. Why was he running so fast she wondered before sleep unwillingly took her.
