Avenging Remnant Announcement.
Hello everyone, I figured this isn't the chapter that you all wanted to see but I figure something is better then nothing.
I am here to announce that this story is hereby discontinued and is officially undergoing an extensive rehaul and reboot.
I know that a lot of your were hoping for a continuation for this story but after everything I've seen in the MCU on top of how many volumes there out now of RWBY, I realize that the story I had in mind and planned wouldn't have worked in the grand scheme of things.
So while I am discontinuing this version of the story I figure at the very least I should give you an overview of the plot overall, character moments, arcs and all that stuff that was originally intended.
Straight up right now, I'm gonna be jumping around a lot from plot point to plot point so just bear with me. It's like a rambling of sorts, a collection of all the major plot beats I had planned.
Right off the bat, Captain America was the one intended to die towards the end of Volume 3. He was gonna confront and fight Cinder on her own after she successfully stole the power of the Fall Maiden from Amber though she survived.
Cap would have fought off Cinder, having activated his Semblance that BulletStormX thought off being called Mushin. Essentially, it's a real fighting style revolving around the state of mind achieving a state of clarity free of anger, fear or ego in any fight. This style overwhelms Cinder as it is something she has never fought against.
But Jaune, who by this point will have become Cap's unofficial pupil, runs in with Pyrrha, Ruby and Peter with the intent of backing Cap up.
Cinder see's this and unleashes her power in a hail Mary attempt to fight them off while making her escape.
She then aims an arrow at Pyrrha and fires at her only for Jaune to jump in the way and when he closes his eyes to accept his fate, Cap pushes him away at the last second and he gets hit in the heart instead.
Peter and Jaune go into a rage whilst Ruby unleashes the power of her silver eyes.
Cinder is beaten back and Vale and beacon is saved and remains standing but at the cost of Captain America.
The Avengers mourn and it's especially bitter because by this point Glynda and Steve will have started a relationship and she's pregnant with his child by now.
The Avengers appoint Sam as their new leader who tries to pass it off to Natasha, Clint or Rhodey as they're the senior members but they all insist on it being him.
Team JNPR with Ruby and Clint Barton depart of Haven whilst the rest of the Avengers remain in Beacon to help clean up and keep the kingdom safe as it was the most effected by the raid.
A number of things to list off.
Yang gets into a coma rather then losing an arm due to her semblance overwhelming her as she was defending Blake from Adam and several White Fang members, one of which was Rhino. Also Yang and Peter have been together since the dance back in season two.
Same as Jaune and Pyrrha. Natasha eggs on Pyrrha to just go for it and confess to Jaune. The two would be a couple by now.
Blake feels guilty and departs as she does in the canon whilst Weiss remains in Beacon and becomes an Avenger, helping to keep Vale and Beacon safe.
Sam passes the shield on to Jaune for the time being as he was well aware by this point of Steve having him as his student.
Nora is also starting to show hints that she is an Asgardian Valkyrie, having the a birthmark on her wrist which is always covered. Sif, who would have joined the Avengers by this point would have detected Nora and sensed something off about her and familiar. Nora will have been trained by Sif up to this point before she departs with her team.
Later on down the line, Nora and Ren would be separated from the others, Ren ending up in Ta Lo from Shang Chi and Nora ends up on Sakaar and meets Valkyrie, Bruce, Loki and Thor, joining them for Ragnarök.
Also, Nat and Vision would have been teleported to a watch station that's similar in appearance to the Bifrost bridge on Asgard and would have met Sif there who had been exiled there thanks to Loki.
The trio wind up in Atlas and Ironwood takes them to Vale to meet with the rest of the Avengers.
Vision and Wanda officially start their relationship.
Ren advances in his Semblance though with the assistance of Clint who helps him mature more and by the end of Volume 4, realizes he loves Nora and confesses to her.
In that time, the Avengers, and especially Peter have been watching over Vale with Spiderman being recognized as its main hero whilst the Avengers have been going from settlement to settlement beating back brigands, bandits and Grimm.
Team JNPR along with Clint and Qrow make their way to Haven while taking out Grimm along the way until they run into Crossbones and Tyrian.
A fight ensues ending with Qrow and Clint killing Tyrian whilst Jaune gets severely injured by Rumlow but something unusual happens. He begins to have visions of a war that he was never involved in and keeps hearing Cap's voice.
Flashing back to Vale, Glynda is pregnant with Steve's child, shocker I know and names him James Samson Rogers after two of Steve's closest friends.
Ozpin, also being alive, takes a leave of absence to track down the one he would inhabit next in this world and finds and recruits Oscar.
The Avengers on Earth meanwhile are assembled with Tony leading the team of War Machine, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and the surprise entry of Black Panther.
Thor makes his return for the briefest of moments, asking what has happened on Earth and nearly kills Stark upon learning about the Civil War and the near dissolvement of the Avengers due to the Accords. Rhodey calms him down and tells him that the other Avengers are nowhere to be found, including Vision who has the Mind Stone and asks if he has an idea as to where they are. Thor promises to task Heimdall in locating the missing Avengers before departing once more.
Doctor Strange, Punisher and Ghost Rider begin to take out the Grimm spreading throughout the country and the world over.
Eventually the trio, mainly Rider and Strange, at last makes a connection with Remnant and the three crossover to it.
They run into the Branwen tribe raiding a small village and quickly fight them back with extreme prejudice.
Basically, Raven hates and fear Rider and Punisher in particular with how brutally they killed her tribesmen.
Back on Remnant, Qrow regales Team JNPR, Ruby and Clint more on the two brothers and what each of the four relics do.
It flashes back with Ozpin speaking with the current Avengers and tells them about a hidden meaning behind the four relics and four maidens.
Essentially, when the four are brought together, if one knows what to look for, it reveals the location of the greatest treasure hidden away on Remnant.
The Soul Stone.
Something Salem has only recently learned of and is now making moves to acquire it.
To condense this all, the next few volumes focus on getting the maidens and the relics together to get the soul stone, why?
When Steve's aura was unlocked, Ozpin inadvertently started a new cycle of reincarnation with his magic playing a role in this matter.
Jaune has Steve's soul so they agree to try to get the Soul Stone and use it to separate them both and bring Steve back to life.
They succeed in volume 6 and Steve meets his son and proposes to Glynda and they get married by Volume 7.
In Volume 7, the Avengers also use the Soul Stone in transferring the powers of the Fall Maiden back into Amber and bring her out of her coma. Cinder fights madly until she perishes.
Also in volume 7, the Avengers on Remnant meet Strange, Rider and Punisher and at last have their way home.
At the end, Salem personally attacks with her inner circle and kills off Ozpin, his soul transferring to Oscar.
Ant-man also reunites with Wasp and Hank and with the help of Cap's team of Avengers, brings back Hanks wife Janet.
Volumes 8 and whatever 9 was gonna focus on having the cast of the MCU and RWBY bouncing back and forth between Earth and Remnant until we get to Infinity War.
Set up and character meetings will be different in some instances.
Thanos comes to Remnant and at one point at the end of Volume 8, Salem would have managed to successfully acquire the Soul Stone, leading to the two of them to clash.
Thanos gets the Infinity Stones and snaps his fingers.
Half of all life perishes, being who we saw in the film plus Yang, Blake, Ren, Nora, Pyrrha, Taiyang, Glynda, Steve and Glynda's son, a number of other characters in RWBY with only Qrow, Ironwood, Winter, Jaune, Ruby, Weiss and Oscar being the most noteworthy survivors.
Other notable victims of the snap are Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Claire Temple, Sif, Velvets team safe Velvet herself, Neptune, Blakes father, a number of OC's that I had planned out with BulletStormX's help.
Salem is also alive but back to her original human self, having fought against Thanos again towards the end of Infinity War but he uses the Time Stone to revert her back into her mortal form, free of the curses she had by the Two Brothers.
Ruby is overwhelmed with grief to the point her Silver eyes awaken and seemingly place her in stasis for several years until the third year, Oscar and Aleksander successfully reawaken her and she tries to move on.
Steve along with Nat, Carol, Okoye, Nebula, Gamora, Rocket, Jaune, Rhodey, Quicksilver, Daredevil, Oscar and Ruby make up the current team of Avengers.
Clint teamed up with Rider and Punisher to rid the world of the criminals left behind while Amber has a set of twins with Pietro.
Jaune, Oscar and Ruby have a commemoration for those they have lost in San Fran where there were memorials to the fallen and they carved out some for their lost friends and family.
They then run into Scott, shocked at seeing him alive, believing him to have either been lost to the Quantum Realm or died in the snap.
They bring him back to the Avengers and they begin planning the means in which to travel back in time and undo the snap.
Notable changes obvious here in Nat not dying but when getting the Soul Stone, Ozpin, still residing in Oscar's body having refused to fuse with him realizes a work around in getting the Soul Stone.
Sacrificing himself so as to leave Oscar with his knowledge, experiences and abilities but allowing him to remain himself and to forge his own path without the burdens of the past.
The eventual showdown between Thanos occurs and Tony dies in stopping Thanos and the universe is saved.
Jaune reunites with Pyrrha and proposes to her and finds out that when she was snapped away, she had gotten pregnant.
Peter and Yang move in together.
Steve reunites with Glynda and his son and for the time being, retires to be with his family.
Wanda, grief stricken from losing Vision finds solace with Pietro and Amber, doting on her two nephews.
The Avengers are reformed with a new team leading the charge in the defense of Earth.
This is literally the barest bones I can scrounge up in the whole idea as to what I had planned out for the story.
There was the Cleansers leader being Red Skull and Cap coming back and eventually confronting him in one final clash in volume 8.
Shang Chi and his whole aspect of the MCU will have been brought in at one point as the aesthetic and even in universe plot significance would have greatly complimented RWBY and the story as a whole.
Really, so much I omitted because I just want to put this story to rest and begin work on its reboot.
This story had a lot of potential but I realized it's better suited to go in a different direction.
So thank you all for those who have read this story, being so patient in waiting for a new chapter to come out.
Again, I'm sorry that this wasn't the chapter you were hoping to see but unfortunately, this was just something that happened.
