Chapter 1: Sands of Time

The sun was beating down on to the lone object traveling down one lone strip of highway. Sand was all around and there was nothing green that could be seen. Travis Conner continued down the lone highway in the large state of Texas in his company's black Mercedes. It was about around three o' clock and he was on his way home after a long business trip. Working in the advertising was such a busy life after being the army for most of his life. Wiping away a bit of blond hair from his face, Travis was only thinking about getting back home.

It was only been a week, but it felt more like a year. He just couldn't be away from his family for so long. Diana understood how busy he was, but his son Josh couldn't really. He was only five years old and Travis couldn't let his boy live a life without his dad in it. He had; his dad work in army too. Travis never saw much of his dad with all of his traveling and they were always moving around the country. When they had Josh, Travis promises himself that his little boy would never have that happen to him. It took awhile, but he finally had left the army to a desk job at Smith & Goldberg Advertising. He had gotten all the degrees in collage for this and was only on his fourth year on the job.

Last night, he had called Diana and he could hear little Josh in the background. She told him not to worry and he would be home the next day. It was only an eight-hour drive and he would be back that night. She knew him too well. He was worry for some reason that he just couldn't figure out why. Anyway, Josh came on to the phone and kept talking about the talking cars that Mommy showed him on the TV. He just could help but chuckle over his son's talk about the Transformers. After a minute with Josh and few more with Diana, Travis fell asleep.

Now, he had been on the road for about three of those eight hours. The oil rigs he could see off to the side were the only things beside sand. Those were the closest he would get to the likes of Eiffel Tower ever again. He saw it once when he and Diana went to their honeymoon. He would never forget how she look on the first night they were there. With her long black hair pinned up and her brown eyes sparkling in the star filled night, he found her as beautiful as ever.

Sighing at his mental picture, Travis dragged his fingers through his hair and adjusted the rear view mirror. His blue eyes just flashed in the gleam of the hot sun of the Texas. He had a couple meeting with the oil companies out here over getting safety drills posters and such. He really didn't understand why they would want his company to do that kind of thing, but it was their money they were wasting and only his time.

The radio was turned on and some song was blaring out. He didn't know who the band was or even the words. He just hummed along as the wind blew past the car and the sand dunes rolling on the open road. It was times like this he just wished he could have a 4x4 and just ditch the road to just roll along the dunes. When he got home he would have to take out the ATV for a ride.

Travis looked into the mirror again. Sure it would seem unlike that someone would actually behind him, but it was better to be safe then sorry. To his surprise, there actually seem to be something coming up fast behind him. The sand was blowing up all around this large semi-truck was trudging up the road as fast as a semi could go. Facing the road in front of him, Travis just puzzle of this. Keeping the car steady, he turned around again. Not only did he see the semi was gaining distance between him, but it was being followed a group of expensive cars, a Ferrari, a Porsche, a Lamborghini even a F-1 racecar. All five vehicles were pretty much hogging the entire road with their driving.

"Ok, that is strange," mumbled Travis as he turned back to his driving, only to have himself lurched forward by something crashing into his bumper.

"Ha! Ha! Out of my way, Fleshy!" cried out a voice as the Ferrari popped up next to his car and started to crash into the side.

Again, Travis lurched forwards and almost hitting himself in the head by the dashboard. He turned towards whoever was driving that machine. They were going to have a lot of explaining to do. As well, pay for the damage to the car. There was no way he was going to pay for them. As he turned his head, Travis' mouth grew wide and he just gasped out.

There was no driver.

The Ferrari had no driver. Looking inside the machine, he could see the wheel moving with no one at the wheel. How was that even possible? No machine he knew of could do that, only the…oh no! Travis gripped tight to the wheel as the F-1 racecar came on to the left side and bashed into the Mercedes.

"Hey, don't hog all the fun, Wildrider!" shouted a voice from the Racecar.

"Fleshy in the middle!" cackle the driverless Ferrari.

Mumbling to himself, Travis glanced at both attacking vehicles. There on their hoods was what he was afraid of the most. Only seeing them on the news, Travis thought that he would have never see them in real life. Decepticons. The purple insignia was there on both machines hoods and at once Travis knew that he was doom. He couldn't last against these alien machines. They were huge and far more powerful then anything he had seen before.

"Will you two numbskulls stop that?" roared a harsh voice in a big booming voice from behind.

Grabbing a hold of the mirror, Travis gasped as the huge semi was coming on faster then before. It was going to run him over. There was no way that the Mercedes would be able to last against a huge thing like that, even if it wasn't made from alien tech. Why was this happening to him? Putting all his strength on to the gas petal, the Mercedes flew forward. He thought it would help, at least escaping the two cars that were blocking him in at least.

"Oooo, Fleshy think he can ran, but he can't!" giggle the Ferrari as he placed on the speed and stopped right in front of Travis' path.

"We don't have time! Autobots could be on our tailpipes!" yelped out a voice that Travis guess came from the Lamborghini.

"Oh, shut up, Breakdown, it isn't like that they hadn't stop us before," moaned the Porsche.

Sweat was pouring down this brow as Travis watched the Ferrari in front of him. Maybe he could be able to skidded pass it? Maybe this was all a bad dream? Yes, that had to be it! This was all just a dream and that he would be able to wake up at any moment now….he wasn't waking up! Suddenly, the Ferrari changed formed right in front of him. Now, standing in front of him was this large, heavy, robot with an insane grin on his face. This wasn't a dream. This was real.

"It's play time," cackle the robot as he was about to reached out.

As the giant hand was coming towards him, Travis turned the wheel with all his might and swerve to the right. The hand scrapped across his roof as the Mercedes drove to the right of it. Not taking the moment to slow down, Travis kept on stirring the wheel around. The Mercedes swerve to the left and drove right between the insane robot's legs. He had got pass them. Travis let out a sigh of relief only to hurt something pounding right behind him. His head turned around, not stopping. Those robots had stop chasing him all right. They were busy with something else. The Autobots were here.

This was just great. They would at least keep those others ones that were chasing him busy. The Mercedes wasn't going as fast as it should be. All that damage he had gain trying to out drive those things had really done a number on the car. He only hope that Mr. Lawson would understand that it was a group of alien robots that did it and not him…Ha, like he would believe that.

A loud hissing sound filled the air and then Travis could only remember nothing. Something hit in him and the car from behind and he went flying into the air. Then there was only darkness and pain. Oh God! The pain. It felt like every one of his bones was broken into a million pieces. Some kind of wet liquid was running down his face. Travis wasn't sure if it was blood, water or gasoline. Why did this have to happen? Time seem to stand still for him. Conscience kept going back and forth for him. One moment, he could heard the fighting and sound, then next he could only see the darkness. Then, he felt his body being lift up high into the air and the pain that came as someone started to crush the car around him….

"AHAHAHAHAHA!"

In the darkness of the room, a figure quickly jumped out of the buck his was resting in. Pain was written all over his face as a shaking hand came up to his face. He had that dream again. Why did he keep having that dream over and over again? Shaking his head, he only wished for them to stop tormenting him. The sound of something stirring made him jumped up to his feet.He had woken someone up. This was not good. He didn't want the others to find out that he had the dream again.

"What are you doing?" came a harsh voice from a cross the room.

"Um…nothing," he quickly said.

"It better be nothing," growled the voice.

"Oooo, someone's in trouble."

"Had another bad dream again? Want to cry, you big baby?"

"Will you both shut you cans!" roared out the harsh voice.

"What going on?"

"Agru…that it! An extra three hours of training for everyone!"

"What!"

"I didn't anything!"

"Enough, now shut up and let me recharge!" said the harsh voice as he turned toward who had started this entire thing, two red orbs glaring at him, Now, get to sleep and get your slagging systems check tomorrow, Outkast!"

He nodded his head as he laid back down, "Yes, Motormaster, sir."

"Good, now all of you shut up!"
