He couldn't believe it, why was he here, why was Charles here with Marianne, when the Emperor is supposed to be running his country. Victor immediately removed the shocked face and hid the gun he was holding.
"Charles, why are you here?" The immortal youth asked looking up to the older-looking twin, hoping to all that it wasn't for what he thinks it is. The Emperor didn't look happy at all, a scowl on his old face.
Marianne was the one who answered. "You know why Charles is here Victor." The immortal youth snared at her and went to speak, but was interrupted by his twin.
"You never kept it a secret that you were jealous of Marianne, nor did you hide that you planned on killing her." The Emperor said as he slowly raised his hand. "I originally said to myself that you wouldn't do that, however now, seeing you here, I have had a change of mind." Charles then waved his raised hand.
V.V. then finally noticed the armed soldiers standing in the shadows, who were moving towards him cautiously. Then it immediately hit the immortal child that he was caught, and with an angered face taking control he brought out the hidden gun and went to gun down the bitch who took his brother away from him.
But before V.V. could pull the trigger, Charles stepped in front of Marianne, protecting her from any bullets that could kill the Empress.
Victor was then shoved to the ground and disarmed. The immortal child struggled against the soldiers as they kept him on the ground. All the while this was happening Charles stood there looking down on him.
"Charles! Tell them to release me! I'm your brother! What about our promise Brother!" He shouted out as he heard doors opening up behind him.
The Emperor of the Britannian Empire just stood there, unmoving, and expelling the confidence his seat gave him. "You talk about promises like you haven't lied to me." Victor's eyes widened, and Charles continued. "What were you going to tell me when news of Marianne's murder came to me? Terrorist? Or maybe aassassintion by some low-minded purebloods?"
Victor just looked towards his little brother, with eyes filled with fear and hurt. He got them all right. Charles knew him, and even if he did succeed, the emperor would know it was a lie from the beginning. V.V. royally fucked up.
His attention was taken from his staring by a hiss of a capsule opening up, making the immortal child look towards the source. And once he saw it, Victor knew what his little brother was planning. He was going to have him be placed in a capsule where he will remain until Charles orders his release or even longer.
With one last desperate fight, Victor looked towards the two royals. "What about the Geass Directorate! You will need someone to take care of it! Little Brother Please!" He shouted out as he was lifted, and was being forced into the capsule behind him.
However it wasn't Charles who answered, nor was it Marianne. "I will sadly be returning to that position, Little Goblin." The voice sounded laid back and lazy. Victor immediately knew who it belonged to and watched as a long green-haired teen slowly walked down from the stairs.
Victor brought his attention back to the emperor, thinking of anything else that could save him from a life of darkness and loneliness. But as the capsule doors slowly closed the immortal youth couldn't think of anything, and closed his eyes, feeling a stray tear fall from his dark pink eyes. "I'm sorry Little Brother."
Charles watched as his older brother mumbled something out as the doors closed, and felt nothing at the sight. He has sentenced his brother, his TWIN, to a life of eternal darkness, and the Emperor of the Britannian Empire felt absolutely nothing.
"It's okay, Love." His beloved, and only true wife said as she brought her arms around his own. "C.C. promised that nothing will come to Victor." The emperor did nothing to show a response and only watched as the guards slowly pushed the capsule out of the Aries Villa.
Marianne saw that her love didn't want to speak so instead looked towards her friend and ally. "So C.C. what were you doing?" She asked with a raised brow, already knowing the answer.
The immortal green-haired teen looking girl looked at her, yawned and answered. "I went to check on little Lulu. You know that he has caught my attention." The Empress's questioning look changed to that of lewd and perversion. C.C. rolls her eyes and continues. "I don't mean it like that Marianne, you perverted woman." She then looked away and explained. "Something is telling me that your son has a massive part to play in the future."
Charles, who was only looking at the double doors for the last few minutes of the two's conversation, finally looked back with a raised brow. "How so?" He asked, making both women look towards him.
The Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire never showed interest in his children, they were all pieces on his chessboard. However a few stood out from his other eighty or so children. Two of them were in this very Villa, both Lelouch and Nunnally vi Britannia. When Charles first held the two he knew that they weren't like his other children.
For one he wasn't the one who named them, Marianne named the two, whereas his other spawns were named by himself, all given names with no reason behind them, only because he had an interest in a recent subject. However that wasn't all, when they were born they didn't make a noise, no wailing like the others, and in their eyes, he saw a mix of himself and Marianne. The two were most definitely different from his other descendants. Those two will always have a special part in his mind.
The others… well that wasn't as important. Charles wanted to know what his son would become. So the emperor looked at the immortal and waited for an answer.
C.C. looked at the man beside her friend and saw nothing of what he was thinking. She sighed and answered his question. "I honestly don't know, but whenever I'm close to him I get the feeling he will have a part to play."
Lelouch vi Britannia was a prodigy, in name and meaning, and it's not surprising who his parents are. The nine-year-old boy was a master at chess, only being beaten by Schneizel el Britannia, who was a prodigy as well. But not only that, Lelouch is a master strategist, having played simulators of past battles where Britannia, back then known as the British Empire, had lost, and brought victory where there were failures.
C.C. shook her head and looked towards the two. "But something I know for sure is that he needs a push in that direction." She then looked over to the sole male. "Which is why I suggest to you, to give him that push, Charles."
Marianne couldn't believe what she was hearing. Putting her little Prince in danger just because her friend gets the feeling he has a role to play. The Empress looked over to her husband and saw the look of consideration on it.
"Charles, please tell me that you aren't agreeing with this? Lelouch is only 9. He's too young, and I want him to stay here for a few more years." Marianne said, taking his hands and squeezed them. "Please don't agree with this." She finished with worry in her voice for her son… her only son.
Charles looked into his love's violet eyes and saw that she was worried. But even if he did do this, Lelouch would eventually be a part of it anyway. The most powerful man then closed his eyes and squeezed his love's smaller hands, and spoke. "Marianne I know you want to keep Lelouch safe, but his mind is put to waste here. You as well as I know that he is a genius, and one that was able to change the tides of battle, it's proven by those simulators he plays." He opened his eyes and looked at her own purplish eyes, and saw hurt and pain.
"But Charles, he's only a child." She whimpered out.
He shook his head. "No Marianne, that is final. Lelouch will be planning the conquest of Japan for its resources, and will come back victorious." Charles ordered looking at Marianne and watched as a stray tear fell from her eye.
The Emperor of the Holy Britannia couldn't stand the look his wife was given him, and broke their connection through their hands, and brought his arms around her. "If it makes you any better, you can name any one of your personal guards to accompany him."
Marianne gave a little nod. "Jeremiah Gottwald." She mumbled into his chest. "Promise me you won't treat him like any of your other children, like a pawn on your chessboard." She looked up at him.
He nodded. "Neither Lelouch nor Nunnally will be treated as such." He said completely seriously. Charles was never going to treat them as such. Never. "I promise you, Marianne." He nodded, leaning down and planting a kiss onto her lips.
C.C. who was watching this looked away and spoke. "Well, I must take my leave. I need to tell those at the Geass Directorate that I will be taking over." She said, making her way past them and out of the Villa, but stopped before closing the door. "I suggest you do the same thing. You don't want to go too far to wake the whole Villa now do you?" She said as she turned around and left, feeling the two glare at her.
Marianne watched as her friend and ally left her home, leaving her with Charles who was still hugging her. The Empress enjoyed the warmth he was giving off and didn't push him away, for this kind of stuff was rare with the Emperor. But in the end, she did, knowing that he was going to be busy with tomorrow.
"You better go, Charles. You have a busy day tomorrow." Marianne said as she looked into his deep purple eyes and smiled.
He nodded and grabbed her hand and gave them a last good squeeze. "I will. Tell Lelouch that I'll be expecting him tomorrow around midday." Charles finished as he dropped his wife's hands, and made for the exit.
The Emperor of the strongest superpower had some things to do and one of them was preparing his conversation with Lelouch.

The Next Day
—
The halls of the Pendragon Imperial Palace were normally a quiet place, with guards lining the walls, and pictures of former emperors, and empresses of the Britannian Empire. However, on this day it had one extra guest. Roaming the halls was none other than the Eleventh Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire, Lelouch vi Britannia.
The boy was making his way to his father's office. Only about ten minutes ago his mother came to him telling the prince his father was calling for him. Lelouch immediately stopped what he was doing and raced to get ready to leave.
Now he was here walking the halls wearing a royal purple shoulder cape, and black breeches and a white button-up shirt. Lelouch was hiding his feelings behind a mask he was taught at birth to now. The Prince was nervous and scared. Never once has he been summoned to his father's palace, and never in his imagination would he ever be summoned to the emperor's personal office.
The only thing going through the prince's mind was why he was summoned. Did he do something wrong? Or maybe offensive? Lelouch honestly didn't know why his father summoned him.
Lelouch was in his thoughts for so long, that the boy didn't even know he had made it until he walked into the giant ebony wood doors with golden engravings into them. The boy placed a hand on his reddening forehead and gave it a few knocks.
"You may enter, Lelouch!" The bellowing voice of the emperor answered the knock, and Lelouch did. Struggling a beat with the weight of it. But once he had it opened enough to enter, he looked into it and found his father, Charles zi Britannia, sitting at his desk with a complete chessboard on it. "Come let's chat over a match, Lelouch."
The Prince nodded and made his way towards the desk, and sat down on the free cushioned chair in front of the desk. He looked down to the board and found himself playing as the black pieces. 'My usual.' he said to himself, as Lelouch relaxed a bit.
The emperor didn't wait long to start the game and moved his king's pawn forward two. Lelouch responded by moving his queen's side bishop's pawn forward one. "So Lelouch, tell me what you know about Japan." His father ordered, moving his queen's pawn forward two(this will be the only time I included move by move descriptions. If it gets confusing I'll have the name of the match I used at the end, and if you don't want to read the chest match just look for the brackets and continue from there).
The Prince was confused about the question but answered. "Japan is one of the oldest countries on earth, being around thirty thousand years old. The country was once an Empire but recently stepped down to allow the land to be a constitutional monarchy." He stopped to move his queen's pawn forward, threatening the white's kingside pawn. "Not only that, they have traditional arts and tea ceremonies." Lelouch watched as his father moved his queenside knight to c3. The prince responded by taking the king's side pawn, the emperor then took that pawn, and Lelouch moved his kingside knight to f6 on the board and continued speaking. "But Japan has a legacy of distinctive gardens, sculpture and poetry."
Lelouch finished there and watched as the emperor nodded and took the knight he just moved. "What natural resources does that island have Lelouch?" He asked Lelouch, knowing that the boy already knew the answer.
Lelouch took the knight with his king's pawn and waited for a few turns until he answered. The emperor then moved his queenside bishop's pawn forward one, and Lelouch responded by moving his black square bishop to d6 on the board. His father followed up by moving his white squared bishop to d3.
The younger then castled and answered his father's earlier question. "Japan's natural resources are coal, iron ore, zinc, lead, copper, sulphur, gold, and silver, all of them being the most abundant minerals." Lelouch stopped to watch as his father moved his queen over one, to the c2 square on the board. "However Japan also has tungsten, chromite, and manganese. All of them being in lesser quantities. Check." Lelouch then moved his rook over, threatening the king. "However the island's most notable and having the largest deposits are limestone and the rare mineral called Sakuradite."
For a second there Lelouch imagined he saw his father give a small smile when he finished. But that was all in his imagination, for the emperor quickly nodded and moved his g1 knight in front of his king. The prince waited for his father to ask another question, but it never came.
Lelouch then placed his full attention on the chessboard in front of him, keeping an ear open just in case his father asked another question.
The game then went on without a hitch. Lelouch his h7 pawn forward two. The emperor then moved his back square bishop over to the right by two squares. The prince then moved his sole knight to d7. The man then did a queenside castle, stumping the kid a little. But that didn't stop Lelouch from moving his b7 pawn to the b5 square, hoping that his plan would work.
The emperor looked at the pawn for a bit, and Lelouch swears to the gods the man cracked a small smile at the move. Lelouch then watched as his father retaliated by moving his d4 pawn forward one. The game then continued with Lelouch moving his c6 pawn forward one. What happened next confused the hell out chess prodigy.
His father then took his b5 pawn with his white squared bishop on the d3 square. Lelouch personally would never have even thought of taking that pawn if he was in his father's shoes. It gave Lelouch an opening with his queenside rook, giving him a line to b2.
Lelouch then got control over himself and moved that named rook over one. His father and emperor then moved his pawn on the c3 square up one. Lelouch then responded by moving his 7a pawn up one, and the emperor responded by moving his b5 bishop to a4. The prince then moved his e8 rook up one to e7, his father then moved his e2 knight over to the g3 square.
The younger then moved his knight up to e5, the older then responded by moving his knight to e4. Lelouch then moved his e7 rook over to b7, and the emperor then countered with pawn b2 forward one. The son then moved his previously moved rook forward to b4, and the father then responded by moving his e3 bishop to threaten the recent movie rook.
Lelouch then responded by capturing the a4 bishop with his rook, Charles then took that rook with the pawn, giving him the open to the king. The prince then remained quiet and did not touch a piece(the chess match dialogue is done.)
That was when his father finally broke his silence. "Lelouch." The named son looked to his father and found him looking at him. "I have a task for you, and only you can do it."
Lelouch felt the man's deep purple eyes look straight through him, almost like the emperor was looking into his soul. "Yes… what is it, your majesty? What is this task?"
The emperor nodded and answered. "I want you to take command of the conquest of Japan. I order you to take the island of Japan." Lelouch lost all train of thought at that, and could only look on with his mouth agape, and eyes widened. "I give you permission to pick any general, and officer to assist you in this task. Any battalion is yours to pick. I order you Lelouch vi Britannia to take the united islands named Japan, to come back victorious, and not a wound on you, my son."
Midway through that order, the Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire stood to his feet, towering over the nine-year-old, and his voice echoed throughout the office. That was when Lelouch realized why he was summoned here, to begin with. His father must have planned this from the beginning.
Lelouch without a break to think over a thing got off of the chair, made his way over to the side of his father's desk, and went to his one knee. "Yes, your majesty." He then thought of what else the emperor said, and a grin slowly grew onto the kid's face. "All I ask is for the authority to use the new Knightmare Frames, Glasgow for this conquest."
There was no response at first, so Lelouch slowly looked up to find a terrifying sight. The emperor was standing there looking down at him with a raised lip. "Permission grant, Lelouch. You are allowed to use the fourth generation of Knightmare frames for this conquest. Any commanding officers, my son?"
Lelouch thought of the answer, and when it came he looked to his father and answered. "Nope." The man grinned, nodded, and the prince then went on to explain how he would take the island.

Months Later
—
"You lying piece of shit! I knew we should have never trusted you!" A young brown-haired boy with forest green eyes, who was being pushed to the ground by a Britannian soldier. The boy's name was Suzaku Kururugi, the son of the Prime Minister of Japan, and now a prisoner of the Holy Britannian Empire.
The person he was yelling at was none other than Prince Lelouch vi Britannia, who pretended to be a political hostage so that Japan would drop their guard so that Britannia could attack the island.
Lelouch looked at the kid with an emotionless face, as a Britannian soldier placed a royal purple cape on the prince. "Yes, you shouldn't have trusted me, Kururugi." The prince looked around the shrine and saw everything being burned down, and as Japanese men were killed where they stood.
Close by was Kaguya Sumeragi, who was crying over the dead body of a bold old man. "Why did you do this?" She mumbled out.
Lelouch looked to her and deep inside of him a deep hurt sprouted. Out of everyone here the only person that got to know him was Kaguya. Even though he tried to avoid her not getting close to her, the seven-year-old girl would never leave him alone.
So looking at her with pain on her face, and tears falling from her eyes, Lelouch couldn't stop the pain inside him. The prince shook his head and answered. "Because my emperor trusted me with this, and I live to provide."
Lelouch looked to the tall teal haired man beside him. "Lord Jeremiah." The man bowed, and he continued. "I am growing tired of these lands. However, we still have some business to do. Also send a signal out that no innocents are to be harmed. Kill only those armed and are resisting."
"Yes, your highness!" The man responded, and looked to the two kids behind the prince. "What about them? What do we do with them?" He asked Lelouch.
The young prince looked back at them. "The girl will be coming with us to Britannia as a political hostage." He answered then looked at the boy glaring at him. "For him… leave him be. He doesn't have the power here anymore. His father is dead, and his home is all but burned to the ground." He finished and turned to leave the shrine. However as he went to leave he forgot. "Oh and Kururigi." The prince looked to see the boy out of his peripheral. "I'm doing this out of generosity. Don't make me regret this."
Lelouch then went to leave and was then followed by a handful of guards and Jeremiah. "Now let's finish his invasion." Lelouch grinned and watched as the sights of the Glasgow's came into view.

Well, that is it for now. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think about the story.
Now for the chess game. The match I used for this scene was the match between Duda(Charles) and Carlson(Lelouch). The match that broke Magnus' 125 winning streak in two years.
