Chapter 8
Dean wandered into the kitchen and found Storm sitting at the table on her laptop. She was biting her lower lip as she concentrated on the screen and scribbled on a pad, like she was taking notes.
"Hey Stormy, what ya doing?" Dean questioned.
"Nothing!" she jumped, slamming the laptop closed and flipping the pad over before he could see what she was doing.
"Okay…" Dean replied wondering what all the secrecy was about. "That wasn't weird at all."
"Why don't we fix breakfast and see what's playing at the movies in town? I haven't been in a long time. I think the third Mission Impossible movie might be playing. That is if you like that sort of thing."
"Fine with me. What do you want me to do?"
"We can have a big breakfast, go to the first showing of the movie, do some window shopping and grab dinner out somewhere. How about bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and fresh fruit?"
"You had me at bacon sweetheart."
"Okay, you peel the potatoes and cube them since they will take the longest to cook and I'll get the bacon started. We can use the drippings from that to fry them in. It'll give them a good flavor."
"Damn Stormy, keep talking like that and I'll take you right here, right now," Dean growled at her as he pulled her into his body.
"Stop that," Storm laughed, slapping at his chest. "Don't forget we're not alone."
"About that," Dean sighed. "I ran into your friend when I went to the bathroom, she was coming out…."
"Yes, so?"
"Well, we saw a little more of each other that we expected…"
"What?" Storm frowned as she tried to make sense of what Dean was trying to tell her. Then she caught on and looked at Dean's sheepish expression and started to laugh. "It's not like she's not seen a naked man before. She's sleeping with your brother."
"I just wanted you to know, it was an accident."
"It's fine, did you turn her on? Did she turn you on?"
"I…I'm…She said I was a six, maybe a seven," he pouted as he peeled potatoes.
"Seven, better than I expected," she shrugged.
"Hey!"
"We do have high standards, for me you're a ten plus."
"That's what I like to hear," Dean beamed happily.
"I should ask Bree what she rates your brother."
"She'd be bias and give him a ten."
"A ten for what?" Breeze asked as her and Sam strolled into the kitchen, hairs still damp from their shower.
"How would you rate Sam as a lover?"
"A ten of course, unless there's a higher score."
"See, I told you she would be bias," Dean insisted pointing at Breeze.
"Why are we talking about this?" Sam whined as his face reddened.
"I guess because Dean saw me naked." Breeze shrugged at Storm and rolled her eyes at the guys.
"Can we just get past this?" Dean huffed. "Do you want to see Storm naked so we're even?"
"What? No! I'm fine," said Sam in shock. "Let's just drop it, okay."
"Coffee, Sammy?" Breeze asked as she poured a cup. She gave Storm it was an okay look to call him that.
"Yes, please, cream and sugar."
"Coming right up."
"Go ahead and take a seat, we'll have breakfast ready in a minute," Storm told them as she took up the bacon. "Stop it!" she fussed at Dean as he tried to snag a strip of bacon.
"If he gets a piece, then I do to," Breeze insisted.
Sam looked from his brother to Breeze to Storm and sipped his coffee deciding to let them sort it out. His mouth started watering with the enticing smells coming from the kitchen. Breeze sat down beside him as Dean helped Storm bring in platters of food.
"Man, this looks so good," Sam told Storm.
"Why thank you. We're having a big breakfast so we can go catch the first showing of a movie if you guys want."
"That sounds like fun," Breeze replied. "Are you good with that?" she asked Sam.
"Yeah, I'm good with whatever you guys want to do." Sam took the platter and served Breeze and then himself before passing it on to Dean.
"Oh, Sis, these hash browns are delicious," Breeze hummed as she took another bite of them.
"Everything is so good Stormy," Dean praised her as he leaned over to kiss her before biting off another piece of bacon and humming his delight.
Sam looked to Breeze who was doing the same thing, her eyes were closed, and she was humming happily as she bit off a piece of bacon. He huffed a soft laugh and looked to Storm who seemed to see what he did. She smiled at him and arched an eyebrow as they silently communicated. Dean and Breeze were obvious to either of them, just enjoying the meal and the bacon.

"Well, your thoughts," Storm questioned as the two couples walked from the movie theater into the sunlight.
"Action was good and blowing things up, who wouldn't like that," Dean offered.
"Cruise was hot," Breeze added. "Did he do his own stunts in this one too?"
"I think so."
"Well, it was tense and suspenseful," Sam put his two cents in.
"Was it worth watching on the big screen?"
"Yes!" they all said together and started laughing.
"Good, I liked it to," Storm agreed. "Why don't we check out some of the stores around here before having dinner."
"I want to go into the used bookstore," Sam told them.
"Watch out Sammy, your geekiness is showing," Dean warned him with a smirk.
Sam gave him a bitch face while Storm poked him in the side for being mean to his brother.
"It's true," Dean pouted.
"Well, whatever, but you're my geek and I don't care," Breeze cooed to Sam hugging in on his side as he draped an arm around her shoulders.
"Maybe I can find something too," Storm commented looping her arm around Dean's and pulling him toward the store. "Maybe you can find something on classic cars or mechanics. Do you read any of the books of haunted places or about monsters?"
"Please," Dean gasped. "I get enough monsters and research with the job without reading about it in my spare time. There's other things I'd prefer to do." Dean kissed the side of Storm's face and whispered in her ear.
"You are so bad…" she giggled slapping at his chest with his suggestion.
"Guys, before we go get dinner, there's something I want to ask. Maybe we can get a drink and find a place to talk."
"Does this have anything to do with whatever you were doing this morning?" Dean asked.
"Maybe," said Storm being mysterious.
"Sis, check out these tops," Breeze called to her as they stopped at a shop window to gaze into it.
"They're so cute," she responded. "And I love the colors. C'mon, let's go in and see how expensive they are."
"And that's my cue to go somewhere else," Dean decided, letting go of Storm's arm and strolling to the next shop.
"It's okay Sammy, go on with your brother," Breeze shooed him seeing the unsure look on his face as he glanced toward Dean and back to them, not sure which way to go. He looked relieved when Breeze said that and gave her a thank you smile before hurrying off after Dean who had disappeared into a store a few doors down. "Okay, now that the guys are gone, what were you talking about?" Breeze interrogated Storm as they went into the store and to the display of tops.
"It's a surprise," Storm smirked wanting to tell her before she exploded.
"Sis, you know you want to tell me, spill already. You would look so good in this, you have to get it," she told Storm, holding a top up to her chest.
"I think Sam would like this on you," Storm replied picking a different one for her. "I'm trying to plan a vacation for us, and yes, I hope you might come along too with Sam."
"Oh…Really?...Are you sure? I mean you and Dean might want to be alone…."
"It would be more fun if you can come too Bree. We've been apart for so long, I want us to reconnect."
"I'd love it, but do you think Sam will want to? I mean, want me to come?"
"Honey, I think he's into you and will jump at the chance."
"I hope so. Where are you looking to go?"
"I found this island off the coast of Texas called Galveston Island. It's about a twelve-hour drive from here. It sounds amazing and has all these things we can do, fishing, sunbathing, windsurfing, and more. They even have ghost tours. Not sure how Dean is going to like that," she giggled. "I found a nice two-bedroom house right on the beach, fully furnished and it even has a pool. It's within walking distance of restaurants and a bus stop nearby that we can use. It's off-season next month so the price is cut in half."
"I will go on one condition."
"What is that?"
"You let me pay some toward the rental."
"You really don't have to…"
"Sis, please, I want to go, but I insist on helping."
"Alright, if that's the only way you'll go," Storm caved in.
"Great! That means we need new bathing suits," Breeze said. She moved deeper into the store to find racks of bikinis."
"And we'll need to get the guys swimming trunks. I don't think Dean owns a pair of shorts," she giggled. "We can check them out and come back in a couple of weeks and I bet they will be on sale."
"You have a date Sis, and I think you're probably right," she laughed. "They could use a few new clothes."
"We are getting these tops and shorts to match. It's a start for our vacation wardrobe."
"I agree." Breeze found the right size shorts that matched the tops and they headed to the cashier to pay.
"We better go find the guys, there's no telling what mischief they're getting into."
They left the store with bags in hand and went in search of the brothers. Storm stopped and looked around trying to decide where Dean and Sam went.
"I know exactly where Dean is," Storm spoke with assurance. She headed to a store near the end of the row. Storm and Breeze laughed when they saw Dean looking at the racks of beef jerky while Sam stood to the side looking bored. "See, I told you. Dean's like a bloodhound when it comes to certain foods, and jerky is one of them."
"I see," she nodded watching Dean pluck several bags off the racks before heading to the cashier. She couldn't help but laugh along with Storm as they waited for the guys to come out of the store, Dean beaming excitedly with his purchase.
"Okay, the used bookstore is next," Sam told Dean in a determined voice. "You got to do your thing, it's my turn."
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Dean grunted rolling his eyes and dropping an arm around Storm's shoulders. "Looks like you girls found some things too."
"We did," Storm replied leaning into his muscular body as they walked.
"Did you have fun shopping?" Sam mumbled to Breeze as they walked close.
"I did, but I think yours wasn't as enjoyable."
"I did find a nice knife," Sam noted holding up a small bag for her to see.
"That's good. Maybe you'll find some books in the bookstore you like. What do you like, by the way?"
"History, True Crime, and don't judge, books about serial killers."
"Hey, to each his own. I love a good mystery, suspense, thriller. David Baldacci is my favorite author and then there's Lee Child and his Jack Reacher series."
"Haven't read them, I'll have to see if I can find any books by them."
"The Camel Club, you should start there, but he has several other good characters. I'll check when we go inside. I may still have some copies packed away when I get to unpacking my things. I could let you borrow them if you like."
"That would be nice," Sam smiled and liked the sound of her wanting to see him again without really saying it. He was really beginning to like her and wondered if this might lead somewhere. They only had another night and day together and then what? Would she want their relationship to continue? Could they make it work like Dean and Storm?
"Sam," Breeze questioned when he hadn't answered her. "Where were you?"
"Sorry, just lost in thought," Sam replied shaking his head to dispel his thoughts. "Did you say something?"
"It's fine. Shall we?" she asked opening the door to go into the bookstore.
"Sure," Sam replied holding the door for her. He looked up at the jingling bell overhead that alerted the workers of customers. Sam gave the place a quick glance seeing how it was laid out and saw signs hanging from the ceiling to tell the selections below. He zeroed in on what he liked and moved to the tables to look over the books available.
Breeze wandered away and Dean and Storm wandered to the other side of the room to look at books and DVDs along the wall. Sam was engrossed in skimming the titles and checking out the ones that sounded interesting. He had found a couple of books he hadn't read and decided to buy them. He moved to another table, letting his fingers run over the spines of the books as he read the titles.
"Okay, have you had you fill yet?" Dean asked Sam forty minutes later as he was reading the back of a book.
"What? Oh, yeah, I guess I'm ready," Sam replied picking up four books to buy.
"The girls are ready and waiting at the front."
"I'm coming," Sam fussed knowing it was Dean who was ready to get out of here. He went to the front to pay for the books so they could leave.
"There's a café across the street where we can get something to drink and talk before having dinner," Storm offered pointing to the café as they stepped onto the sidewalk.
"Why don't you guys get the drinks, and we'll get us a table?" Breeze said. She saw outside seating at the side and some empty tables.
"You want a soda, Stormy? Or something else?"
"That's fine, you know what I like."
"Breeze?" Sam asked.
"I'll have a root beer or ginger ale."
"Got it."
They looked both ways before hurrying across the street to the café where they split up. The guys went inside, and the girls snagged a table under a shade tree to wait on them. They talked softly between themselves until the guys came back out carrying their drinks.
"Here you go Stormy," Dean told her sitting down beside her and putting the drink in front of her.
"Thanks Babe," Storm said.
"Root beer, I hope that's okay," Sam told Breeze doing the same.
"It's good," Breeze replied.
"Okay," Storm started after sipping some of her drink. "Dad has been after me for the past few years to take an actual vacation and with what happened to me, well, I decided it was time for one. Can you guys take a week off next month and go with us?"
"Us, as in you two?" Dean asked looking between the girls.
"Yes, I found a wonderful place off the coast of Texas, Galveston Island, that really sounds like a nice place to visit. I can get a two-bedroom house on the beach very reasonable for a week if you're game."
"That's sound good to me. Give us the dates and we'll be sure that we're not working a case," Dean told her. "You okay with that Sammy?"
"Yeah, that sounds good," Sam agreed looking to Breeze.
"There's all sorts of things we can do and explore the place. They even have ghost tours."
"And you just ruined it," Dean snorted. "You know those things are fake right?"
"Yes Babe, and you can point out all the flaws and mistakes. There's one that's the Dark of the Moon Pub Crawl and Ghost Tour," she offered.
"Now that I can do if it involves drinking."
"I thought that might get your attention. Good, if everyone agrees, I'll book the house for the middle of next month and send everyone an email to confirm the dates. I thought we could leave after the bar closes on Friday night and drive all night taking turns. It's like a twelve-hour drive there."
"We'll take my Baby since it's bigger than your car."
"I figured that and you're sure you don't mind? We could rent a SUV or something."
"Naw, I'm good, I like to have certain things available if they were needed," Dean told her giving Storm a knowing look.
"Okay, yeah, right," Storm nodded when she got his meaning. "So, we have a choice of the steakhouse, Mexican, or House of Pizza."
"You know my vote, but I'm good with whatever you guys want," Dean said.
"How about Mexican?" Sam suggested.
"My choice too," Breeze agreed.
"You okay with that Dean? We could have a Margarita?"
"That sounds good. Mexican it is."
They finished their drinks and walked back to where the Impala was parked. After everyone settled, Dean pulled out and headed to the Mexican restaurant across town. The parking lot was beginning to fill as Dean found a good spot and parked. They headed inside to enjoy a nice dinner and drinks.
A/N: Storm plans a vacation for everyone to Galveston Island. This sounded like a really interesting place to visit and thought it would be a good destination for them. Thanks for taking this journey with me. I do like reviews/comments. NC
