The Prodigious Son

This chapter will be a bit short, but there will be a snippet at the end so hopefully, that makes it up. But I also want to explain some things, but that will wait until the end.

With that, enjoy! Also, we start off with a flashback.

One Year Ago - Pisces Villa

Marrybell entered her home with a bit of fear. This will be her first time alone with the man called her father… well not entirely alone, she will have her mother, Lady Olivia, and Empress Marianne. So the princess won't be alone entirely, just put under a lot of pressure from all the powerful people with her.

Releasing a sigh, Marrybell remembered what her step-brother said. 'He respects you and knows your worth. He won't do anything that you might hate. You can trust me.' And in all words, she did trust Lelouch, and with her whole heart. But still, the fear and worry were unbearable to her.

Marrybell shook her head as she entered the Villa's main hall, and that was where she found the emperor, empresses, and lady. Standing at the very top of the first set of stairs was the strongest man of the current time, Charles Zi Britannia, just a few steps below him were the empresses, Flora mel Britannia, and Marianne vi Britannia, and last but not least only a few steps from the bottom was Olivia Zevon.

The princess felt goosebumps when she felt the man's eyes on her. It was like he was looking through her. It didn't help when he spoke. "Marrybell, what's your plan for the future?"

Shocked was one of the many emotions that filled the princess when she heard the emperor ask that. Marrybell was baffled at the question, she knew that the emperor could have ordered her to answer whatever he wanted, but to ask… that was something unheard of.

Shaking her head, Marrybell decided to be honest. "I want to join the military." Her father didn't make a move, so she continued. "I know I'm too far down the line to achieve anything, and I also have no interest in politics. So the military is the best option. I could rise in the ranks to achieve more, or I could die on the front lines."

Charles nodded when she finished and made his way down the stairs. "Good. But you forgot girl, that you are my daughter, and the frontlines are no place for someone of your calibre of strategic mind to be." He reached the bottom but continued making his way to the princess. "You will rise in the ranks, and you will be one of Britannia's best commanders of this time." The emperor then stopped, standing in front of the pinkette daughter. "Now Marrybell, would you like to join Lelouch at Alexandrine Military Academy."

Marrybell felt her eyes widened at the offer. Not only will she be joining her half-brother, but she will also be going to one of Britannia's most prestigious academies, only being topped by Tesla's Academy of Technology and Science in Niagara Falls

But her thoughts went back to Lelouch and how she could spend more time with her half-brother. Marrybell always had a massive amount of respect for the prince. At the age of nice, he took the world's supply of Sakuradite and has proven to be one of Britannia's most competent commanders, when he hasn't even gotten through the training.

But she also had a thing for Lelouch, and it only amplified when she got the news of him joining something she personally never thought he would. Marrybell knew the vi Britannia's from a young age, but she was never as close to them as the li Britannia siblings, and she was always jealous of that.

But now, she could spend more time with Lelouch, she didn't care if they will be at an academy, Marrybell only wished to get closer to him, and when or if the time came, the princess could confess her love for the prince.

With that, the pink-haired princess nodded. "I would very much like that and if you gave me the opportunity, I promise to repay you for such an opportunity." She said looking up to her father.

Charles felt a grin grow on his face, and placing a hand onto her shoulder, expecting a shiver but got nothing, he spoke. "Good. From this day on, until you have to leave, you will be training with Lady Zevon on Knightmare Frame Piloting, and on the weekends you will come to the imperial palace where you will learn things that only a few know." Marrybell nodded, showing him that she acknowledged what he said. With lifting a hand he turned to go back up the stairs. "You may leave Marrybell."

"Yes, your Majesty." He heard her respond which was soon followed by footsteps.

Remembering something he spoke up. "Also you should also know that Oldrin Zevon will also be accompanying you to the academy as well." He looked back with his peripheral and saw her nod once more, soon leaving the hall.

Charles looked back in the direction he was going. A grin once more found itself on his face. The Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire was in one good mood today, and it only grew in the next few days, where he will be able to see how far his son has gotten in politics, and on the weekends he would be able to teach one of his daughters, one that will be very useful to Lelouch's reign.

Alexandrine Academy - One Year Later

Marrybell looked at her brother as he stood in the doorway of the homeroom. On the outside, she showed no emotion just as her father taught, but on the inside, she was struggling to hold back her laughter.

'Oh, the look on his face!' She screamed to herself with laughter. 'He will regret breaking his mask.' The princess was filled with joy at finally seeing her brother.

Marrybell would have happily joined him on the ride here, but orders from the emperor forbid it, saying that it will be a surprise to Lelouch, and having her sent to the academy two days early, alongside the two beside her.

To her right was Oldrin, her greatest and best of friends, and soon to be her Knight of Honour. And to Marrybell's left was Anya Alstreim, a small pink-haired girl that was trained by Lady Marianne.

They were all wearing the academy uniform, however, the only difference was the skirts Anya and Oldrin were wearing. Marrybell personally had the uniform's black pants.

Thinking of the uniform made the princess look towards Lelouch, and took in the sight of him wearing the uniform. Normally her half-brother would wear loose clothes to hide whatever he had under them. But now that he was wearing the academy dress code, and how it fits him like a glove. Marrybell was able to see the muscles he gained over the last three years. Well, it wasn't much but still, she was able to see the muscles of his arms. Ohh how the princess wanted to crest his arm.

"Candidate Vi Britannia!" A voice spoke out from behind him. "Why is it that you haven't found yourself in the back with the rest of the candidates?!"

Lelouch turned and saw a tall figure standing there. Her uniform was similar to the candidates, but hers was all black with badges, fourragères, and armbands. "Uhhhhhh." Was the only thing that could come out of his mouth.

"Get your ass to the back of the room, Candidate!" She shouted, and without a second to spare Lelouch found himself standing among his fellow classmates and candidates. "My name is Staff Sergeant Mia Grand! I will be your instructor for the next four years! I will be honest with you. When I look at all of you, I see pigs!"

Everyone in the room felt an imaginary spear pierce them at her words. But none more than the two royalties in the room. Never once have they heard insults thrown at them. Never.

"But let me say that by the end of your years here, you will be one of the greatest commanding officers this empire will ever see!" The instructor shouted once more. "Now let's get to assigning you your seats. Whatever spot you are given will be where you will sit for the next four years! So don't complain to me about how you want to change!"

Everyone nodded as she started going down a list of names assigning spots to everyone. During this Lelouch finally got a good look at their instructor. She was tall standing around five feet eleven inches, and with muscle all over her. The instructor also had brown hair, and eyes.

"Lelouch vi Britannia!" She shouted out his name assigning him his seat, which was the second row to the back and the closest to the window.

He nodded and made his way to the spot, and that was when he took notice of the contents on all the desks. Lelouch sat down and Staff Sergeant continued. On the desk was a tablet, none being a specific brand, a small black card that Lelouch recognized as a bank card, and the last thing was a small rectangular-shaped device. He looked at the three things wondering what they were for, but thankfully he didn't have to think long for the seat assigning was over and the booming voice of their instructor spoke.

"Now you might be wondering what the three things in front of you are for." Those that were dumb enough nodded. "Well, it's simple! The tablet is your everything here, you will need it throughout your years here. It will have your schedule on it and will have updates on what's happening here at the academy, and your schedule. Now if you lose it, or it breaks, don't expect to get a new one!" She explained, but as they all nodded a grin appeared on her face. "Also I don't advise you using the devices for porn, hacking, or any of those things for they are monitored by the OSI and the Britannia's military 24/7, and if they find out you are doing such things, don't expect a happy ending." Everyone shivered at that, and within seconds everyone nodded. However, there was one candidate who raised her hand. Their room instructor pointed and named the girl. "You have a question, Candidate Monica Krushevsky?"

The now-named classmate stood to her feet. "Yes Ma'am! Are we allowed to get in contact with friends and family through the device?" She asked without stuttering or backing down.

Everyone looked at the brown-haired woman in the room. "Yes, you are. However, if you plan on doing it, you will need to go to the main secretary's office." She explained. "Is that all Candidate?" The girl shook her head and sat back down. "Good, I can now move onto the next thing you will need to know."

Everyone then watched as she then brought out the small black device they all held. "Everyone, this is your ID, and access back onto academy grounds. If you lose it you can call yourself expelled. But it also updates you with your personal information." She then turned hers on showing everyone what they will open to. To name a few things on it was her name, school ID number, rank, and something that caught everyone's attention was the amount of money she had. "So remember to keep this thing on you at all times and to never, and I repeat NEVER give it to someone else."

The room was filled with nods, making the Staff Sergeant smile, and Mia put her device away. "Now onto the last thing." She said, grabbing her black bank card. "As all of you know, Alexandrine Military Academy is one of the largest academies in the homeland. So you will be able to find restaurants, stores, etc all over the academy grounds, and they are all owned by the academy and its board." She stopped looking at everyone. "This is how you will buy things from those stores, nothing else but these will work. Now you might be wondering how you get points to buy things, that's simple. High marks, and high grades. You all start with ten thousand dollars worth of points. They can do anything if you want to cheat, then pay, if you want to make deals, then pay, and if you want to move up in a grade, pay. Now unlike the other two things I just talked about, these are replaceable, but if you want it replaced expect it to cost a lot."

The class nodded once more, understanding everything she was talking about. Putting hers away she went to the whiteboard and started writing something down. Once she was finished she spoke once more.

"Now for the next two days, they are yours to do with what you want. Buy whatever, and do whatever you want. But I expect you all to have the necessary equipment to proceed in the class. With that you may leave, I expect you all to be back here in two days at five in the morning." She said and watched as everyone grabbed the stuff on their desk, and went to leave. "Oh and one more thing!" Everyone looked towards her. "We are a family here, and I am your Mama, so I expect you to call me Mama Mia from now on! Got it!" Everyone nodded and left, something told Mia Grand that she might enjoy the next four years with this class. So with a smile she sat at her desk and got to work.

Tesla's Academy of Technology and Science(TATS for short) - Niagara Falls

Milly took a deep breath as she entered the academy she will be studying for the next three and a half years.

She decided on this the day she heard that Lelouch will be leaving for a military academy. The Ashford Heiress wanted to be more than her betrothed's wife, or someone he can trust.

Milly wanted to be something greater, and that would be technology, she always had a thing with it, and with her being the Heiress and soon to be CEO of the leading foundation in the Knightmare Frame technology. She decided to go to Britannia's greatest, and most expensive academy, the academy that focuses on science or technology and is named after Britannia's greatest, Nikola Tesla.

Even for being one of the newest academies on the homeland, being made and found in 1947, three years after the scientist's death, the people that come out of this place were some of the greatest scientists Britannia has seen.

NASA, the leading in all things space, we're founded and created by a group of scientists that came from this academy. Her grandfather, the founder of the first real working Knightmare came from her, and now so will she, hoping to become someone as great as Ruben Ashford.

After being in her thoughts, Milly finally stepped into the academy that will bring her glory in the future or the place that will have people look down on her. But the end goal was all the same. The Ashford Heiress was doing this for her betrothed, and she will make sure she achieves that goal.

Ashford Foundation- Headquarters

"Are you sure about this Princess Nunnally?" Lord Ashford asked her once more. "You are offering to test all the experimental Knightmare Frames. Do you know how much pain they could cause you if they don't work well?"

"Yes, I'm sure Reuben. I also know the risks it causes." Nunnally responded but held fast. She watched as her family's sponsor and ally went to speak, but the princess already knew what he was going to say. "Yes Mother knows, but just as how my father failed, so did she."

The old lord released a sigh, as he relaxed into his cushioned chair. To hear that both Marianne and Charles failed in changing the princess' mind, he just gave up on making her change her mind as well.

But there was something he needed to ask the young princess. "Princess Nunnally, if it's okay for me to ask. Why is it you are doing this for?" Ruben asked, curious of her answer.

Nunnally already knew how to answer this so without hesitation she responded. "I want to achieve something. My mother, Marianne the Flash, was the first person to man a working and moveable Knightmare Frame, and to open the future to greater machines. Lelouch, at my age, conquered Japan, is one of Britannia's greatest strategists, and from what I heard, he is destined for more." She looked at her hands and clenched them. "I wish to achieve something similar. But I'm not a fighter like my mother, and I repulse at the thought of fighting someone, and I'm not a strategist like my brother, nor will I ever be." Nunnally looked up to the graying man. "That is why I want to test your Knightmare frames."

Ruben could see the determination in the princess' eyes and knew she was telling the truth. There was one thing he was always weak to and that was a determined person who wanted to achieve something. Which was also why he agreed to allow Milly to enroll at TATS.

Standing to his feet, Lord Ashford smiled and gestured to the princess to follow him. "If that is your wish, Princess, then I am no person to tell you no." He watched as the girl he could call a granddaughter smiled. "Now if you follow me, I'll show you what we have been working on for the last three years."

Nunnally got off of the chair and followed, smiling as the two went down an elevator, and that is where she learned of the Callisto, and how powerful it will be.

The chapter is over! Now I know that there wasn't much story-wise in here but this chapter was here to explain some things that will be important for the story. So with that please let me know what you think with a review.

So a few things I want to make clear is that bank card idea, I got it from the anime that NEEDS a second, Classroom of the Elite. I love this anime, and I am currently trying to get the LNs. Also, Mama Mia is from 'Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon'.

Now onto things, I want to talk about and explain. And let's start with those females that will NOT be joining Lelouch in his harem, and let's start with the half Britannian, Kallen.

Okay, I've had quite a few people telling me or asking me to have Kallen join Lelouch. But let me ask you a question, why would she join him? First of all, he destroyed her home(Japan), took it away from her, and killed everyone that was a part of the military, and the nobility, leaving it with nothing, no JLF or Houses of Kyoto. Yes, she might be half Britannian, but she has never acknowledged it. So why would she join or love him? In all honesty, I think she'd probably join Suzaku if I add him back into the story. Also because of the Kalulu shippers, I've lost all interest in this relationship. So no she will not be joining Lelouch.

Euphemia, okay I'm going, to be honest with you here, I do not ship her with Lelouch, and find her a bit naive and annoying. Yes, they loved each other when they were younger but that was young love, and in my opinion, Euphie always wanted a knight in shining armour, and when she was younger she found that knight in Lelouch, but later she found it in Suzaku. So she will not be joining the harem.

Villetta, okay she will most definitely not be joining the harem. For one of many things. I find their ship fucking stupid. People hate Ohgi for betraying Lelouch in canon, but forget that she is the one who gave him the final push, and everyone is like, 'Oh ShE sHoUlD bE wItH lElOuCh!' So no she will not be joining the harem.

Now last but not least Cornelia. She will not be joining the harem. For a few reasons. The first being I honestly don't understand their ship at all. The second I blame her for Lelouch's great fall. If he had just killed her, Schneizel would have never learned the identity of Zero and got the Black Knights to turn on him. Yes, he was suffering from killing Euphemia, but he should have seen that if she stayed alive, she could have become a greater threat. But that doesn't mean she's going to be killed here. Last… I don't like her character, and I also don't plan on them having a great friendship. So she will not be joining the harem.

With that over, I apologize, but as I said in chapter 3, I'm trying to be as comfortable as I can with this story. The story is much slower paced and my usual is quick and gets shit over with. If it was faster, I would have happy added more characters to Lelouch's harem, and maybe Kallen.

Now onto the snippet and I hope you enjoy this one as well.

Euro-Britannia - Eastern Front - 23:59

Lelouch looked at his watch as the timer was ticking down. The Third Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire was in his newest Knightmare Frame, the Gawain, and co-piloting the KMF with him was Anya Alstreim, his temporary co-pilot well Marrybell dealt with the western front, but she was also one of his Knights of Honour, and soon to be a member of his father's Knights of the Round.

The war here has gone on long enough, and Lelouch was here to fix it. To bring the standstill to an end, and to bring victory on the eastern front.

The Prince was taken from his thoughts by his watch going off. "Is it time, my Prince?" He heard his second knight ask in her monotonous voice.

Looking down at his watch to see 0:00 and turning off the alarm. Lelouch nodded and spoke, his voice having a robotic echo from the injury a few years ago.

"Yes, it is, my dear Anya." He noticed her nod, and with a press of a button, the Prince spoke once more, this time his voice going to all the intercoms of the Britannian army. "In my name, Lelouch vi Britannia, I officially call that Operation Barbarossa will start now." He immediately heard confirmation, and with placing a hand onto the gears in front of him he spoke one last time before the great charger for Moscow. "Let's bring home a victory, boys!"

With that the five-day charge commenced, bodies of dead soldiers laid there, collecting the winter snow, and around them parts that were once Knightmare Frames littered about.

Within an hour of Britannia holding the capital of Russia, an announcement went out telling everyone that the eastern charge was a success, and the fall of Russia. This was all thanks to the Lion of Britannia, or known to the eastern part of the world, as the Dragon of Victory and Destruction, Prince Lelouch vi Britannia.
