Chapter 13
"Wow! Look at that view," Storm notes as they drove across the bridge to Galveston Island.
"It's beautiful," Breeze added craning her neck to look out both sides of the car to the large expanse of water.
"Okay, when you get on the island, we'll drive to the other side and along the coast on Seawall Blvd. The house is located about a third of the way down. It's called The Cove."
"I'll drive, you look," Dean told her as he watched the traffic and the road signs. He drove slower until saw the street they wanted and turned onto it. It took them about fifteen minutes before Storm pointed to a driveway that had a sign at the mailbox saying The Cove. Dean pulled up the driveway and stopped in front of the house.
"This is nice," Breeze offered as she got out.
"It is," Sam agreed. He looked the place over thinking it looked peaceful and calming. It was a one-story house painted a soft gray with a small front porch. The lawn was mowed, and the planters had blooming flowers in them.
"The agent said the key would be in a lock box and she gave me the combo for it," Storm told them walking up the steps to find the box on the door. She punched in the code and flipped it open to get the key out. She opened the front door and stepped inside looking around before walking on through the house to the back. "Guys check this out."
They followed her out onto a large deck and below it was a swimming pool and out from it through a gate was the ocean and a gorgeous white beach. The water was shimmering in the afternoon sun and the waves continued to build offshore and roared to the beach to break against the sand with a gentle, foamy, whish. They could hear the buildup of the water as it headed into shore and slowly disappeared only to have it happen again.
"Okay," Storm announced after they all oohed and awed over the view. "Let's get the car unpacked and find the bedrooms and put the food away, and then we can go for a walk on the beach before deciding about dinner tonight. I for one think we should eat out, maybe at a seafood place."
"I'm liking the sound of that," Dean agreed.
They went back inside and out the front door to the car. They unloaded everything and found a bedroom on either side of the house with their own bathrooms. There was a living room in the front of the house with a large flat screen television against one wall. A bookcase held board games, books, DVDs, and magazines. The kitchen was at the back and had a small dining area attached to it. Everything was furnished with what they would need to stay there except for food.
"How is your bedroom?" Storm asked Breeze when they met in the middle of the house.
"It is amazing Sis. This whole place is great."
"I think so too. Are you guys ready to take a walk on the beach?" Storm asked the brothers as she slipped off her shoes and left them inside. "You may want to ditch the boots and roll your jeans up a little. Don't worry we got you some more clothes to wear while we're here. And…Here's some water shoes for us so we don't step on anything." She handed out shoes to each of them and slipped her on.
"You did?" Dean asked as he reached down to unlace his boots while looking at the black shoes Storm gave him. "I'm afraid to ask what you got me."
"It's all good," Breeze offered when Sam looked at her cautiously. She changed shoes and waited as Sam did the same. "I think you will like them. I'll show the clothes to you later."
"Come on, guys. I want to play in the water," Storm begged trying to hurry them along.
They walked down the small walkway to the gate that led to the beach. Storm ran ahead like a kid, and stood at the edge of the water, letting it lap at her feet. She felt the sand shift under them as the pull of the water moved it in and out. Storm smiled brightly at Dean as he joined her and took her hand, glad to see her so happy. He knew this was going to be good for her, actually, for all of them.
Sam was starting a relationship with Breeze and could use the time to get to know her better and to be sure this was what they both wanted before it got really serious. Dean wanted a little down time to unwind and relax with his woman and to let her know how much he loved her.
"This is like heaven," Storm sighed holding her head back and letting the salty spray of the waves sprinkle over her. She had always loved the beach, thought she didn't get to go very often. She moved deeper into the water until it was up to her mid thighs and was almost knocked over by a wave that caught her by surprise.
"Damn Stormy, that one almost had you," Dean complained as he grabbed her arm to hold them up.
"You're getting your pants wet honey."
"Don't care," Dean commented keeping a good grip on her arm as the waves beat on them while he tried to pull them to shore as Storm resisted. "C'mon Stormy," he fussed. "Stop fighting me."
"But I like it out here," she pouted.
"How about you wait until we are dressed properly to continue this adventure?" Dean tried to convince her.
"Alright," Storm gave in and let Dean pull into the shallow water.
"Are you guys okay?" Breeze asked looking them over.
"Yeah, a little wet," Dean grumbled as he looked down at his soaked jeans.
"I didn't ask you to get wet," Storm told him. "I was fine, really."
"And when you got sucked out into the ocean or caught in a rip tidel, were you still going to be fine?" Dean questioned in an annoyed voice.
"Guys, one rule, no fighting while we're here. This is too nice a place to be on the outs with each other," Sam told them.
"Sam's right, no fighting," Storm agreed looking to Dean questioningly.
"Yeah, yeah, I hear you. If we're going to walk, let's do it so I can change clothes."
The two couples strolled down the beach taking in the surroundings and marveling at the mighty strength of the ocean. Storm picked up a couple of shells that caught her eye and showed them to the others. It looked like a storm at sea had stirred the ocean bed up to deposit the treasures on the sandy beaches.
"Okay, enough walking," Dean announced as he stopped, making the others stop too. "I'm getting hungry. We've got to walk back now, change clothes, and find some place to eat."
"Dean's right, we should head back," Storm agreed with him. "I'm sure there's some seafood restaurants nearby that we can try out."
"I'll check online when we get back," Sam offered as they walked along the water's edge toward the house they were renting.
Everyone was tired by the time they made it to the house and went inside for drinks and to shower and change. The guys didn't know that they were being setup and the girls had positioned their cells to record the whole thing. The girls got the bags with the new clothes for the guys so they could start wearing them.
"I know you guy don't have a need for these types of clothes in your line of work, so we picked some up for you," Storm told Sam and Dean as she gave Dean a bag and Breeze gave Sam a bag.
The brothers looked into the bags and saw shorts, shirts, and shoes for them. Sam pulled a couple of things out and he liked them. Dean fingered the shorts not sure he wanted to wear them.
"And guys," said Storm getting their attention. "Your wardrobe wouldn't be complete without something to wear on the beach."
Storm and Breeze held out a small bag to each of the brothers. They were twitching and trying to hold in their laughter as Dean and Sam looked into their bag.
"What's this?" Sam asked seeing a swath of royal blue in the bag and not much of it. He looked to Dean who was frowning as he checked his bag to see what was inside.
"Are you serious?" Dean asked as he plucked the red speedo from the bag and held it up. "No! Hell no! There's not enough here to even cover Little Dean. I might as well be naked on the beach."
"You afraid 'Little Dean' might get cold?" Storm asked innocently.
Sam couldn't say anything as he choked when he held up the blue speedo and quickly stuffed it back into the bag as his face turned a deep red. He looked in horror at Breeze who couldn't hold it in any longer and crowed with laughter.
"Oh Babe, if you went out naked on the beach, we'd have too many women swooning over you," Storm laughed at the expression on Dean's face. She grabbed Breeze as they continued to laugh at the guy's reactions to the prank.
"Okay, okay, I get it, this is a joke," Dean huffed. "It is a joke, right?"
"Yes Babe, I wouldn't let you out of the house with that on. Now the bedroom is another story…"
"She's right Sammy, think you can do some modeling tonight?" Breeze cooed only making Sam choke again and blush deeper red.
"We did get you swimming trunks, but a little less revealing," Storm sighed pulling another bag from behind the couch.
"Now these are more like it," Dean smiled pulling out navy trunks with a line of red and yellow down the side.
"These are more me," Sam nodded holding up the medium gray trunks with a line of black and red down the side.
"Thanks Babe," Dean mumbled to Storm as he pulled her down into his lap to kiss her.
"Gotta have my man looking sharp," Storm giggled softly and returned the kiss.
"These clothes are great, Breeze, you made good choices," Sam told Breeze, standing to take her hands and kiss her.
"I know my guy, at least, I hope so," Breeze replied happily.
"Okay kiddies," said Dean loudly clapping his hands together. "We need to shower, get dressed, and head out before the places get busy."
"You want to join me?" Storm asked over her shoulder, arching her eyebrows suggestively at Dean.
"You don't have to ask me twice," Dean responded grabbing his bag and quickly following Storm.
"Sammy?" Breeze questioned enticingly as she ran her hand down his arm. "We should go shower too."
"We should," he replied in a husky voice, snagging his bag and letting her lead him to the other side of the house to their bedroom.
The brothers came out dressed in their new clothes and stood for inspection from the girls. Dean fidgeted under Storm's steady gaze, feeling uncomfortable in shorts and short sleeved button up shirt. He wiggled his bare toes for a moment until Storm gave him a thumbs up with her approval.
Sam stood still as Breeze walked around him giving him a once over and nodded her approval too. She hugged into his side for a moment thinking he looked so handsome right now. It was all she could do to control herself when he smiled at her, and his dimples peeked out.

"Now that was some tasty food," Dean grunted as he rubbed his stomach.
"It was, we may have to come back here again before we leave," Storm added.
"They do know how to grill a mean flounder," Breeze added.
"It was all good and you could tell it was fresh," Sam offered with a shrug.
"Why don't you run by that grocery store down the street and Bree and I will run in to pick up meats, milk, eggs, bread, and deli meat. I brought what I could from home, so we wouldn't need to buy everything. I saw a grill on the deck, if you want to put your skills to work Babe."
"Okay with me and I can put my other skills to work later," Dean smirked arching his eyebrows at her.
"If we hurry, we'll get home in time to watch the sunset," Storm noted looking at the evening sky. "C'mon, I bet it'll be awesome."
"Don't worry we're less than twenty minutes away for the house and if you guys aren't long in the store, we should get back in time," Dean told her as he unlocked the car so they could get in. Once everyone was settled, he cranked the Impala and pulled out into traffic to head down the street. It didn't take the girls long in the store and came out pushing a cart with bags in it. They loaded them into the back of the Impala and climbed in so Dean could head back to the house.
They guys grabbed the bags from the trunk while Storm went to open the door to let them inside. She didn't stop in the house but headed out onto the deck with the others following her after depositing the bags on the counter in the kitchen. They stood at the railing as the sun dipped closer to the horizon, making the sea sparkle and change color. A few clouds lingered nearby, picking up the last rays of the sun as it sunk lower with each passing minute until it finally disappeared from sight.
"That was breathtaking," Storm whispered taking it all in and stood leaning back against Dean as she listened to the waves breaking on the beach. It was a calming sound and seemed to relax her.
"I've not seen something that nice in a long time," Breeze added. She cuddled into Sam's arms that were wrapped around her body holding her close. She basked in his warm embrace not wanting it to end.
"That wind off the water really cooled things down now that the sun is gone," Dean commented. He pulled Storm tighter into his arms when she shivered slightly. "Why don't we go on back inside, maybe watch a little television and call it an early night. I think we all could use a good night's sleep."
"I agree," Sam added. "It is getting cool."
"Okay," Storm replied. "I'll get the groceries put up first."
"I'll help Sis," Bree offered.
They went inside and the guys settled on the couches in the living room to wait on the girls. Dean found the remote and checked to see what stations they received before scrolling through the guide until he found a movie for them to watch. No one made it to the end of the movie before they were dozing. Dean rousted everyone when he woke, and they headed to bed.
A/N: I thought the prank was fitting and hoped you liked it. It seems everyone is enjoying the beach. Thanks for coming along for the ride. Reviews/Comments would be nice. NC
