Fright Night

Walking along the pier with his brother to admire the festivities, the air was one of calm and enjoyment, with Ben dragging Ken after him to the many stalls, seeing the many prizes Ben failed to see many of the girls looking at his brother while looking over a stall, it showed itself to be a pin throw game.

With the prize being a Sumo slammer card, and seeing this, Ben stared in excitement while Ken smiled with a shake of his head, bringing out his wallet, Ken spoke to the showrunner.

"Hey, my man, how many do I need to pop to get that card?" seeing the teen turn to him with a bored look, he turned to the main prize before turning back.

"Fifteen balloons popped in two minutes, you gonna try?" smirking at the man Ken handed the money over before being handed fifteen darts, the shody crafting plain to see.

Smirking as Ben stepped aside in excitement, Gwen joined them alongside Max as Ken went to work, hitting Fifteen balloons, the last dart made the clerk gawk as it actually stabbed into the wall set up, turning to Ken, the teen had a grinned.

"Pay up" was all ken cheered his way, making the clerk grumble while handing over the prize, Ken spun it in his hand before handing it to Ben who marveled over the golden sheen, allowing them all to enjoy the night until they turned at hearing screams further down the pier, and seeing yaht flip, into the pier, thankfully the many festival goers moving far away as the pier held firmly, but seeing two men laughing while running further down the pier, Ken glared fiercely before moving to the edge, making sure no one saw him he dived off with a green flash following. Though his stealthy transition not missed by a sneaky red head.

Hitting the water with a splash, Riptide sped down the pier with a glare on his eyes, and seeing a rowboat tied to a ladder, the sight of two figures climbing down from his point of view let Ken know they were the perps.

"Knocking over that Yaht was a piece of cake!" what followed that boast was a series of evil laughter until Riptide charged into the boat side, making the two stop and yell in alarm, one of them had his head fall into the water to see Riptide stalk by beneath them like a great white, snapping his jaws at the man he reeled back in horror.

"GET OUT OF THE BOAT!" moving to climb up the ladder they stumbled as the boat was pulled away from the safety of the pier. Leaving them in the middle of the open water in silence, staring at the water in fear, the man wearing a red beanie and white singlet screamed as he was yanked off the boat, leaving his conspirator alone as he watched his friends head dragged over the water screaming until he was fully submerged, not even noticing Ken punch the man into unconsciousness while pulling him to shore quickly, tossing him onto the pier he turned back and saw the other guy rowing to the sands with haste, chuckle at the futile attempt, Ken swam around the boat with his dorsal fin seen by the now frightened man, rushing at the boat suddenly, the man gave a girly scream as Ken leaped out of the water with his hands grabbing the man as he laughed into his face with his maw of sharp teeth.

Sooner tossing the man beside his buddy with Riptide shaking water from his being, followed by him watching as the police arrived to apprehend them two trouble makers.

"I don't care what anybody says, you circus freaks are okay by me" turning to the officer with a raised eyebrow, Ken spoke.

"I'm actually a shapeshifter, and also I don't like being called a freak, shit like that always leads to bad scenarios" blinking at Ken in thought, the man gave a shrug.

"Well, when you put it that way" shrugging at the simple minded officer, Ken turned and dived off the pier, already knowing what to expect in the future.

Sitting himself in the RV as they drove down the streets, Ken began to fiddle with the watch in boredom, looking over the many icons of the aliens, Ben was sat playing a Gameboy until Gwen speaking gained his attention.

"Zombozo's Travelling circus of Laughs, Cool!" turning his head to her with a raised eyebrow, Ken climbed off of the back bed to sit beside Max.

"I haven't been to a circus since I was a boy" smiling at Max while leaning in his chair.

"Sounds like Fun, what do you guys think?" turning to Max, Ken spoke.

"Ben has a fear of clowns remember?" turning to ken, Gwen spoke having not heard his words.

"I love the circus!" turning to Gwen, Ken watched Ben pout.

"That's because you belong in one" moving to intervene, Ken gave his little brother a light tap on the head.

"Hey, just because you hate clowns doesn't mean you have to ruin it for everyone, if you want You and I can stay here while Max and Gwen enjoy themselves" seeing Ben look at Gwen and then Ken, he spoke.

"You can go with them, I'll hold down the fort" smiling at Ken, Max spoke.

"Come on Ben, I'm sure it'll be fine" turning to the three, Ken gave him a look alongside Ben giving him a pleading look, seeing them staring he sighed.

"Alright you can stay, just don't go anywhere until we get back alright" hearing Ben sigh in relief, Gwen smiled sadly while Ken sat back down.

When they arrived to the circus and bidding Ben a good night, the trio along with what could be the whole town entered the circus.

With Ken looking at the many billboards of Zombozo, leaning down to Gwen he spoke.

"Seems this dude has an ego, just look at those ugly faces" snorting at the insult of Zombozo's look, the three shared a short laugh until a spokesmen on top of a small tower spoke.

"Step right up and see, the fingerless freak of nature, whose strength knows no bounds, Thumbskull!" what stepped out onto stage with a large pipe in hand, Thumbskull stood as a hulking body wearing a skintight fullbody suit with grey rings on the sleeves, and his hair… is actually a toe nail!?

Shivering at the sight of the head, Ken spoke quietly.

"Is that an actual toe nail?" getting a small elbow for his remark from gwen, they watched as Thumbskull bent the pipe over his neck with a small grunt, and seeing the feat, Ken gave a low whistle.

"Damn, I want to know what he eats?" the only indication Thumbskull heard Ken, was a small grin as he tossed the pipe into the air, watching it spin a whip of orange/red hair caught the pipe to pull it towards a woman in a black tight-fitting jumpsuit with yellow stripes on the arms.

With Ken's only remark being.

"Who would name a gorgeous woman like that Frightwig!?" and believe it or not, the woman's pale skin reddened while her eyes drifted to a smiling Ken, who gave a wink her way.

Seeing her try to hide her smile at the compliment, she had her hair bend the pipe further with Ken giving another whistle.

"Dayum, nice hair product too" getting a giggle from frightwig, she set it on an anvil in wait, turning to ken she gave him a sultry stare that he gave back with a growl of pleasure, getting an elbow from Gwen who puffed out her cheeks.

"Can you not flirt with every attractive girl we meet!?" shrugging at his cousin, Ken turned back to see… holy shit what the fuck!?

"And last, but not least, the freak whose unique skill is as vile as his attitude, Acid Breath!" watching as a lanky man with a balding head stepped forward with a mask over his mouth, Ken stared in morbid fascination as he stared at Acid breath's gorish mouth, giving a worried look as his breath melted the pipe and anvil, stepping back with a shake of his head, Ken looked over the many stalls before seeing a lone tent with a sign saying "Keep out" knowing Zombozo was inside, Ken went to rejoin his family until a hair tentacle curled around his shoulders, turning him face to face with a certain clownette.

"So I'm gorgeous right?" seeing her smile at him, Ken smirked while grabbing her hand gently, making her blink as he bowed to give her knuckles a kiss.

"More so in person, I assure you" seeing her cheeks redden, she cleared her throat while regaining her composure, her red cheeks not doing her justice.

"If you by any chance find me after the show, I may be able to… show you the ropes if you get the meaning" rising her hair to emphasize, Ken broke her character with a smile.

"I'm be sure to be gentle with you, sexy" leaning forward, Ken stared deeply into her eyes, that glowed gold for a split second.

"And I mean gentle" making her shiver at his sultry tone, Frightwig spoke quickly.

"Just go inside, you're making me blush and that never happens" giving a soft laugh, Ken spoke while resting an arm around her neck.

"I have that affect on women" winking at her, the girl was unconsciously feeling up his muscled body until they separated at max's voice.

"Ken, the shows about to start!" turning to the voice, Frightwig was about to leave until Ken jumped the gun and gave her a deep kiss, making her eyes widen before slowly closing at the sensation, giving a soft moan she blinked as he pulled away, staring at her, Ken gave a playful wink while following Max's voice around the corner, leaving Fright wig touching her lips, she smiled widely.

"Oh I'm gonna keep you!" turning she left to do her part in the circus before the big heist.

Sitting down with a shit eating grin on his lips, Gwen noticed it with a suspicious look before she looked forward as the lights dimmed with the Barker in the middle.

"Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, the circus of laughter, is proud to present the sultan of smiles, the crown prince of chuckles, the crib tickler himself, the star of our circus! Zombozo the clown!" watching as searchlights snapped to a very tiny car as it drove onto the field, Ken gave a stifled yawn while leaning back as the car drove off and turn towards Zombozo while the crowd began to laugh, Ken meanwhile was leaning on his arm with a bored look.

Looking to Max and Gwen, his eyes drifted to Gwen before he looked back in time to see the car vanish into a red Cape to explode into confetti.

"If you love clowns, then this is the place to be!, You're gonna die laughing" taking that as his cue, Ken snuck off while moving out of the tent.

"That's a Zombozo guarantee!" not seeing the flash of green Light, Zombozo went on with his show like always… until he felt a shiver up his spine as a voice whispered in his ear.

"Nice little trick you got here, Herbert!" turning in alarm at his name being called, the sounds of a hissing laughter echoed around him.

"Would be a shame if it were to go Poof" feeling a hand grab his shoulder, Zombozo turned in fright to see no one but himself in the middle of the field, moving to go on with his show, a laugh made him jump as the machine behind him sparked, making him panic as a shadow moved in the corner of his eye, making him look around in growing fear as Spectre flew out of the tent with an evil laugh.

"Alright, machine sabotaged, thefts next on the list" with that he phased through the many tents and cars before he found the trio of the circus reeking havoc. And seeing this made a side of Ken rise out with an empty chuckle, which evolved into a hissing laughter that gained the attention of the circus freak trio, with Thumbskull looking around after dropping a ATM while looking around.

"What was that?" turning to Acid Breath, he spoke with a shrug.

"Don't know all I do know is the town has no resident hero" moving to continue his thieving, he stood stock straight in fright as a black and white tentacle slithered under a car beside him, stepping away from the vehicle, he jumped as the car jumped with the alarm going off, making Frightwig and Thumbskull turn to him.

"Acid breath, what are you doing we have shops to break in and… people to meet after this show" turning to her, he spoke.

"People to meet, you know how people are when the boss is done feeding on them" seeing her hesitant flinch, she looked back to the circus tent with Thumbskull speaking.

"She's worried about her new crush!" was his barking laugh that made Frightwig glare at him.

"At least I didn't make him shiver with that thing on you're head!" reeling back with a hurt look, Thumbskull spoke while holding his head defensively.

"Hey I take care of this thing you know?" seeing the giant all defensive, Acid breath gave a laugh before kicking the car, before remembering why he jumped back in the first place, moving to another car, it also jumped with the alarm going off, making all three look at it before a hissing voice spoke.

"Clowns stealing something other than a kids smile, so unexpected" watching as Spectre rose from the car, his purple eye glared at them all before he reeled back with a whispered laugh.

"I hope you three put up a better fight than those I hurt before you" flying at Thumbskull, he gave a grunt as Spectre sunk into his being, his grunt evolving into an excited laugh as he grinned at the two, his eyes darkening with a purple glow.

"Don't mind me, just trying on a new suit" flexing his muscles, he gave a look of contemplation before making Thumbskull sock himself in the face, sending his meat suit flying spectre turned to the remaining two with a chuckle as he faded from sight, making the two pale at this, Acid breath in a panic surrounded himself in an acidic cloud with Fright wig moving away before feeling arms around her waist pull her away, turning around she spotted Spectre looking at her before fading away, setting her down she looked around in confusion.

Looking to Acid breath as he spun around in fear, he spun around to be face to eye with Spectre, the Ectonurite giving a roar that made Acid breath scream like a girl, making Spectre laugh gleefully as he hovered over Acid breath.

"My my, what rotten teeth you have, may I suggest mouth wash, or better yet, a Dentist" laughing as Acid breath crawled away from his advancement, Spectre followed after him like a snake on the floor, his arms pulling him after the thief with a wild eye as it slithered between the gaps in his skin, he lunged at Acid breath who gave a fearful scream as he shielded himself with his arms, feeling nothing happen he looked around to see no sight of Spectre.

Allowing him to relax until he felt something drape over his left shoulder, turning he found another tentacle, moving to scream his neck was constricted tightly before being dragged into a cars shadow, his screams echoing before silence greeted the streets, leaving a now terrified Frightwig alone.

"Acid… you alive!?" gulping in fear as she cautiously approached the car, she felt herself pulled away and turned to face Spectre who stared into her eyes.

"Hello, gorgeous" staring at the aliens lone eye in widening horror and confusion, Spectre leaned closer.

"So, should you move to show me the ropes, as you said before?" staring at Spectre, he ran a hand gently down the side of her head before cupping her chin.

"You really do look more beautiful up close" moving to say more, a voice spoke that gained a growl from Spectre.

"What's this I see, a freak stopping my crew of clowns!?" turning to Zombozo as he exited a cloud of confetti, Spectre set Frightwig down to approach Zombozo who gained a look of fear.

"What's the matter Clown, you look like you saw a ghost?" smiling at the fearful look, Spectre vanished from sight with Herbert gulping loudly.

"Get everything now we're leaving!" seeing Zombozo like this, Thumbskull spoke.

"But Boss, we haven't gotten everything!?" turning to Thumbskull, Zombozo spoke with a shrill voice.

"PACK EVERYTHING AND GO!" moving to flee, a hand grabbed Zombozo to spin him around.

"Where ya going Zombozo, the funs just beginning!" reaching for the side of his stomach, Spectre ripped it open to show the horrors beneath.
