Agenda

Shikamaru tore his eyes away from her. He could feel the heat of her eyes scorching every bit of his skin critically and appraisingly. He didn't know who he hated more; his mother, for taking a jab at his ego ("JUST ASK HER! ARE YOU NOT A MAN!") or her, for raising an eyebrow as soon as the words left his mouth.
Temari, oblivious to the fact that he was battling with himself, snorted mercilessly.
"Well," she started with such emphasis, "I'm not sure how to say this."
Shikamaru wasn't sure if he was relieved or not.
Temari went on, "It wasn't exactly in my agenda to go out with a crybaby, who act likes someone's grandfather. That was probably the last thing from my mind."
Love officially sucked, Shikamaru concluded with a sinking heart.
"I mean, what would Kankuro say? He'd never let me hear the end of it." She said dramatically, "And Gaara! I wouldn't be able to look at him for days!"
Rejection, or love, which out of the two did he hated more?
"The whole village!" Apparently, Temari had been speaking for quite a while.
"I get the—" Shikamaru started, annoyed, but stopped short when the sand-nin held her fan to his neck.
"But!" She stated loudly, and then stopped, as if thinking about her answer. Finally, she removed her fan slowly, and smiled at him. "I accept."
Shikamaru stared. "What?" Laughing, Temari planted her fan to the ground.
"Scared you, didn't I?" Giving him one last smile, she turned and began walking away.
'Women. They talk too much.' But nevertheless, Shikamaru trailed slowly behind her, before matching her proud strides.
Quickly wrote this all down during one of my classes, agh.
Shikamaru and Temari frenzy, anyone?
Well, anyways, look out for my next one-shot; It will be titled 'Sister Rain' for Sakura lovers…or Sasuke lovers. Or if you hate or love them both, ha ha.
