Truths and lies
It had been several days since the now large group left Rushmore, and as of right now it had been a good calm atmosphere for them, with Ken and Aranea being able to stay closer to one another with Venessa along for the umprompto road trip, Ken and the celestials all sat alongside his younger brother Ben, and cousin Gwen with Max speaking of his past… his old job with Ken eying the drone that followed him to be of some use.
"… And then Keblamo… no more Vilgax, or so I thought, until today" watching Max spread his arms wide as Genji and Hanzo stared with soldier like attention, Ahri's eyes were wide with wonder as she sat her head of Ken's left shoulder, Aranea having taken the other one as she held a sleeping Venessa.
Akali stared at Max for a full minute before giving a small applaud alongside Angela who wore a more snug fitting sweater and pajama pants, a pair of dog slippers on her feet with a pair of reading glasses.
Kai'Sa merely nodded in respect to Max while Evelyn sat in the trailer for an early night in.
With the clapping easing to a soft silence, Max turned to Ken as he looked down to the watch, the icon softly glowing in the night light, Max spoke.
"When I saw what you had, I knew something was coming, I just wish I was wrong when it turned out to be Vilgax, only my worries were shoved into a cooler straight then when you not only defeated Vilgax, but finally committed the act so many have tried and failed to do…" staring up at Max as his eyes showed pride and worry, he spoke with a soft voice.
"You put Vilgax in the dirt, like so many others before you tried" moving to say more, the road across from them behind a treeline came to life with police sirens.
Seeing this, Ken turned to max who gave a soft snort.
"Duty calls I guess" getting up carefully, Genji stood up as well with the others until ken waved a hand for them to stay.
"Hey, you guys just enjoy the relaxation, if shit hits fans I'll make a call for you lot" with that he ran with his suit forming over his being as he sprinted after a firetruck sped by.
Arriving to the scene which was that of a burning/charred building, the firefighters on sight stood while one spoke into a radio.
"There's some kind of weird creature inside tearing up the place!" stepping to the man's side unnoticed, Ken scanned over the building before speaking.
"What's it's description?" turning to the man who flinched away from his sudden arrival, the man spoke with a wheeze.
"Some red or brown gremlin like thing, it had a maw of teeth and long skinny arms and big stocky legs, it moved around like a friggin monkey on cocaine" turning to the man as he caught his breath, Ken spoke with uncertainty.
"How do you know what a monkey on cocaine look's like?" seeing the man open his mouth he closed it while shaking his head with a snort.
"I find a lot of weird yet funny shit on the internet" shrugging alongside the man, Ken stepped towards the house.
"Be sure no one get's in!" looking back to the firefighter as he stepped through the doors, Ken looked over the damage with a low whistle escaping.
"Lookin' like a scene from ghostbusters with those Scoleri twins" stepping forward, Ken spoke loudly.
"Yo, any angwy little gremlins in here causing a mess!?" turning to the right, Ken stopped and turned to the sound of growling, looking to the source the alien in question came into his line of sight with a small roar, making Ken smile at the comical sight.
Approaching the little guy, Ken stared down at the alien who stared up in return until Ken crouched and gave the alien's head a rub, making it grumble at the contact, Ken spoke with a chuckle.
"You know, if you apply for a job in a scrap yard you may get a shit load of things for payment" looking at the destruction, the alien gave a shrug and grumble.
"Oh come on, right now you're just causing pointless damage here, I mean look at the shelf" pointing at said shelf it lay in literal splinters.
"With you doing that you may get a lot of jobs that involve you break stuff, it's both therapeutic and stress relieving" nodding at the alien, it gave an excited nod of agreement before it climbed onto Ken's left shoulder, making the hero snort at it's comfy purr, Ken was about to leave until he heard the sound of an energy gun priming to his right of him.
"I'm afraid I can't let you leave with that Hyper weasel" turning to the man with a tilted head, Ken's HUD scanned the man to get a window showing his ID… Phil Billings.
"Wait a minute, Phil Billings?" seeing the man blink he gave a nod.
"How do you know my name?" tapping his helmet, Ken spoke smugly.
"Helmet connects to the internet" looking to the entrance, Ken turned to a confused Phil until he began to leave, the hyper weasel giving Phil a face.
"Problems solved!" kicking the door open, Ken winced as the doors flew off their hinges, he gave the Alien a look as it gave a small whine until he stepped away form the bank now that he saw the sign, and seeing Akali on sight, Max, Ben and Gwen sooner stepped into view, with Max eying Ken and the Hyper Weasel, pointing at it urgently as the fire fighters moved in with Phil sneaking around.
And this caused Max's eyes to beam at his appearance.
"Phil!" perking up as the tow partners embraced, Max gave a laugh as Ken snuck away, returning to camp, the sight of the little guy made those awake stare at the Hyper weasel with worry, Aranea the most.
"Ken, why do you have a havok beast?" staring at her as his helmet broke down into a collar, Ken shared a look with the Havok Beast before the two shrugged at the same time.
"He looks cool" this in turn made the little guy flex his skinny arms, with Angela snorting at it with Venessa giggling.
Setting himself down with the Havok Beats dozing off to sleep like a dog beside Ken's now unarmored feet, Max, Ben, Gwen and Akali returned.
"I don't trust that Phil guy" seeing Akali all but narrow her eyes behind her, Ken felt his eyes unconsciously drift down to her firm and fit ass.
Turning to the group her eyes snapped to Ken as he licked his lips while staring, Akali gave a smirk while walking to her seat, nudging Ken with her right hip, he looked around rapidly having woken up from a trance, making Akali giggle with Ahri and Aranea.
Leaving Ken scratching his neck in embarrassment.
Sooner than most, the group found themselves driving down the highway with max leading the big truck to the next stop after a nights rest, with Ken waking up with not only Aranea on him, but Ahri and Akali as well, with Evelyn eying him with a knowing smirk.
Following the Rust Bucket with Ahri beside him with her phone in hand, her eyes stared in interest at the article in front of her.
"Huh, it seems you've got a kids show in development on you, Ken" sparing a glance at the fox queen, Ken spoke.
"I bet it'll be shit" hearing her giggle, the radio came to life as the Rust Bucket sped off with max's voice coming through.
"Ken, Phil just radioed, two Vulpimancer's on highway 44 tearing up a meat factory!" speeding up after the RV, Ken's eyes took on a serious glare as he waiting for a gap on the highway before following Max through the U-turn, making those in the trailer yelp at the weightlessness before they firmly returned to the floor.
"Ken, what's up?" turning to Aranea, Ken spoke.
"Two Vulpimancers in a meat factory" following after Max, Ken narrowed his eyes.
Parking the truck on a wide area, Ken climbed out to meet Max who turned to the factory as a growl echoed from inside.
"Welp, time to clean this mess" moving to dial the Omnitrix, he was shrouded in a green light before he could even select an icon, making Max cover his eyes before he blinked as Ken stood in the form of a Loboan, only unlike it's own kind, this form stood five heads taller, with pitch black fur with small stripes of red in the fur, Ken's form of clothing in this form took on the form of a loincloth, actually now that he thought about it, Max could make it Maori tattoo's on the fur in red.
Looking down at his claws, Ken turned to Max with an annoyed whimper.
"It happened again Gramps" turning to Max, the old man spoke.
"We'll figure out why that happens later, right now we have two rogue Vulpimancer's in there with Phi" nodding in understanding, Ken rushed through the doors with his teeth bared.
Ignoring the scent of fresh meat being processed, Ken caught a lone scent with Max joining him with Genji and Hanzo.
"I have a scent!" turning back to Max, Ken watched him sneak towards him as he followed the scent, finding Phil on the floor with a bruised side, seeing this, Ken Narrowed his eyes at the strong scent of the aliens he knew were close by.
Gesturing for Max to get to Phil, Genji and Hanzo scanned over the factory before Hanzo spoke quietly.
"Two contacts, above us to the right" following his directions, Ken bared his teeth at the two Vulpimancers who growled as Max helped Phil onto his feet.
"Max, get him out of here, Genji if you see an opening, sever their achilles heels, hanzo, if you have sonic arrows, use them to make them dizzy, I'll try and handle the ringing in my ears" seeing them nod, Ken gave a roar before leaping upward, tackling one of the large Vulpimancer's with one giving a savage growl as it followed the duo.
All the while Phil held a Sonic pitch whistle, unnoticed by all but Hanzo before he followed after Ken and his brother.
