Unearthed
Stepping through the Hallway with a datapad in hand, Mariah Hill opened the door to show Fury looking over the various reports he got before his lone eye looked up to her, sitting up fully, Fury spoke.
"Report" setting the pad down to show the reports main image, Fury stared at the mask on display as Mariah spoke.
"Several hours ago, an oil company in the province of Texas, an earthquaked unearthed a chamber, doesn't really show any specific reason for why it held the mask, but logistics tell it to be the mask of Ah Puch, the Mayan god of death and the underworld, the mask said to lead to the ultimate weapon that could destroy a continent with one swing" seeing Fury narrow his eyes in thought, he looked to her calmly.
"Get me Agent Diggers and her team…" seeing her move to follow said order, she stopped as Fury spoke another.
"And send the celestials in as a Convoy guard, I want that mask away from any idiots hands" nodding with a salute, Mariah left Fury in his office.
Setting down another bag of beef burgers, Ken stood in a pair of shorts and thongs on his feet, Ken flipped a burger into the air while Venessa stood beside him eagerly, licking her lips with a smile, Aranea sat on a lawn chair beside the KDA crew, umbrella's hovering over them, Genji sat in an inflatable pool with water filling it with large cubes of ice in the water, Angela sat in the shade with a flower dress on her with a Hat that covered her head firmly, Hanzo merely meditated under his own umbrella with a pair of shorts on with the Symbol for Mortal Kombat on his left leg… seems he's a fan.
Turning to Venessa with a smile, Ken looked over his shoulder while the Rust Bucket parked beside a bench with Max sharing a meal with Ben, Gwen and Kevin.
"Who wants burgers!?" the reaction was instant with Akali beside him like an older variant of a giddy Venessa, her mask absent to show a wide smile of flawless teeth.
"ME!" laughing at the sudden gathering, Ken handed out Burgers and sausages to all but Hanzo who sat calmly in wait.
Standing up to approach the leader of the celestials, he took one calmly with a nod to Ken who smiled, looking to Aranea as Venessa sat on her lap as they ate, Ken moved to sit beside them while Evelyn gained his attention, a Suasage in hand she gave him a look before she opened her mouth… slowly putting the Sausage in her mouth with Ken feeling his cheeks reddening at her sultry look she gave him…
Until he was snapped out of his trance by Ahri who giggled.
"Get you're head out of the gutter big boy" giggling at Ken as they all ate, Aranea spoke with a teasing tone.
"You talking all sultry and husky, doesn't really help him settle down, you know that right?" turning to the Princess, Genji gave a snort while he relaxed in his own pool.
Sitting back to enjoy the peaceful air around them, Ken wrapped an arm around Aranea who leaned into him with her head laying on his chest… until they all perked up at hearing a message notification from Ken.
Giving a groan of protest, Ken brought out his phone to see it from Fury, frowning at the message he opened it to show… a set of coordinates, this only meant one thing…
"Damn it" looking to the members of the celestials, Ken came to a choice.
"I gotta take this, You lot just stay here and enjoy the peace and quiet" moving to the Rust Bucket, Max stepped out with a serious look.
"Ken, get in" nodding in confusion, Ken failed to notice his team packing up, with Hanzo dragging a crying Genji as the pool was emptied with Venessa dancing in the flowing water with Gwen who giggled.
"What's the situation gramps" staring at a monitor beside Max, the old man placed a hand on the screen reverently.
"The Mask of Ah Puch… It's the key to the most powerful and destructive power ever created" staring at the Mayan mask, Ken spoke up with his arms crossed.
"Fury sent a mission detail, apparently he is also interested in this Mask, not the weapon, we're to act as a convoy for the small team he sent to pick up the relic" seeing Max turn to him, Max nodded.
"Good call, where to?" looking to the coordinates sent to his phone, Ken spoke.
"Near an oil field north from us, just down the highway" seeing the good coincidence, Ken perked up as the doors opened with Gwen, Kevin and ben stepping inside.
"Everyones packed" staring at her in confusion, Ken looked out the window to show the site clean from their presence.
"I'll follow" nodding to Max who nodded curtly, Ken stepped out to the back of the trailer, opening the back door he climbed into the cool air inside.
"Alright, since you all want to come along, be sure you're gears all ready for action, Fury wants us as a security detail while his own team studies a relic, a Mayan mask of a god of death and such" stepping into a chair, Ken felt the truck move with Hanzo in the driving seat with Genji.
Sitting with a squad of Shield agents, Gina Diggers sat with the mask in hand… well more like in a special case.
The archeologist stared at the contained mask with a full on look of determination as she smiled.
"I'm going to study you to my hearts content" if possible the mask gave a shiver somehow at her declaration… until Gina's attention was taken by her "Little sister" Brittany "Gia" Diggers, the last full blooded were-cheetah. Seeing her raise an eyebrow at her, Gina laughed nervously until Brittany took the case with an annoyed look.
"No geeking out until we're in a secured location" pouting at her sister, they perked up as Ryan Tabbot approached.
"Do we know when Our escort will be here, I'm not liking this lack of security" seeing the sisters look at the empty Oil field before them, Brittany spoke with a pout.
"At least we're not near large amounts of water" seeing her slouch in relief, Gina sighed before hearing a truck horn approaching.
Frowning at remembering what Fury said to look out for, Gina stood up with a frown as she looked down the road to not only see an RV driving down the highway, but a Truck with a Custom made TRAILER!?
Staring at the sight approaching, Brittany spoke.
"Please tell me that isn't what Fury set us up with?" turning to her sister as the two vehicles parked, they failed to see three black cars waiting in the parking lot.
"Fury did say to look out for a big ass Truck… maybe this is what he meant?" shrugging at her sister, Brittany went to say more if not for her attention to zone in on a shirtless man with black hair and brown eyes as he stepped out, an oddly designed watch on his left wrist, he looked at them with a frown before he approached.
"You the Digger sisters?" staring at his well toned body, Brittany failed to stop herself from feeling his abs before stepping back, her fur covered face a dark tone with her blush.
Looking at Ken Tennyson who stared at Brittany, his eyes lingered on her due to her… Safari-esque outfit.
"If you're gonna cop a feel it's only fair I do the same, right?" seeing Brittany blush, Ryan shook his head, raising a hand, Ken shook the offered hand firmly.
"Ryan Tabbot" nodding in response, Ken spoke.
"I go by Loki when on the job" turning to Gina who had her own eyes on Ken's body, Ken rolled his eyes while grabbing her hand and placing it on his abs, letting her go as she stared at her hand in reverence, Ken turned to Ryan who had his palm to his face, the sight making Ken snort with a laugh following.
"Alright load up whatever you need, we're you're Uber to the research station" stepping to the trailer, Brittany snapped out of her trance to follow Ken eagerly, Gina being Guided by Ryan, they failed to notice the case on the bench… until Ken came out and picked it up with a barking laugh.
"You forgot the Package!" Ken all but laughed as the truck sped off after the Rust Bucket… the Sedan's following discreetly.
