But no ones laughing
Sitting within the truck with a frown while looking out the window, Ken looked up to the heavy rain, the window showing the Rust bucket in view with the windows covered by a curtain, sitting beside Ken, was Aranea and Emelie, the two looking at the TV hooked up to show a news report.
Sighing at the rhythmic sounds of the rain on the trucks roof, Ken spoke.
"They've been gone for an hour now, what the hells taking them so long?" moving to get up, Genji spoke with Ken turning to him as he laid on his cot.
"Maybe the bank is under staffed?" giving the ninja a thoughtful look, Ken was about to call Max on his phone if not for the man to call him first.
Answering the phone, Ken went to speak if not for a dreadful voice to come out, making them all freeze up.
"Now everyone, I have an important date tonight and I need funds for the next punchline, so please don't fight and just enjoy this show!" dropping his phone while rushing out the truck, Ken ignored the rain pelting his form as Aranea spoke.
"Ken wait!" shaking his head at the thought of Max and Ben getting hurt, Ken turned the corner to see the Bank cornered off from the street by GCPD and the press, looking over the sight, Ken noted an alleyway with a sewage pipe leading to the rooftop, running towards it as stealthily as possible, Ken held on tightly while climbing up.
Not noticing a camera man look at him in confusion, Ken snuck by a window to see green gas inside filtering around slowly, most likely just released, but seeing several people crawling away from the gas, Joker was on a floor above the lobby, holding a woman hostage.
Looking for a vent, Ken went to pry it open before remembering the Omnitrix, moving to activate it, Ken's eyes widened in anger as it beeped down.
"Are you fucking kidding me right now, you choose now of all times to not fucking work!" throwing his arms around in anger, Ken inhaled to calm himself before grabbing his left shirts sleeve, ripping it off he wrapped it around his face before climbing into the vent after breaking it.
Making sure to avoid making any noise, Ken looked down into the bank, seeing a different floor beneath, Ken pried the grate off before quietly setting it aside, dropping his head out to check for any thugs, Ken glared at ones back after he passed below.
Dropping to the ground as quietly as possible, Ken noticed a woman frozen in fear until she spotted him, making a shushing gesture, Ken turned back to the thug who stopped to call in his radio.
"All clear here, no Bat's either" moving to the Man's back, Ken clenched his right hand tightly before upper cutting the man in his crotch, making the thug cough in pain while reaching for his manhood, his eyes widened as Ken slid to his front while aiming the barrel of the shotgun under the man's chin, the clown mask on his face failing to hide the fear in his eyes before the top of his head exploded from the shotguns discharge.
Ripping the shotgun from the corpses grip, Ken glared down the hall before moving to loot the thugs gear, setting the Bullet proof vest over his upper body, the woman spoke quietly.
"You killed him?" sparing her a glance while tightening the vest, Ken set an ammo pouch around his waist.
"Yes, I did" picking up the radio, Ken spoke into it with an angry glare.
"Oh Joker, you may now count the minute's you have left to live!" with that he dropped the radio and stomped on it, leaving the woman stunned as Ken emptied the shotgun of the used casing.
Raising an eyebrow at the voice form his radio, The Joker narrowed his eyes before speaking over the radio.
"Find whoever that is, and bring him here, it's not Batman that's for sure" looking over the bank, his grin returned.
Watching as two of his thugs moved to a set of double doors, one was thrown back by a point blank buckshot, the other looked to his friend before turning back to see Ken jab the barrel into his stomach, discharging loudly with his spine exploding out his back, Ken looked over the lobby for any sign of Max and Ben, and seeing them both in a corner, Max had a weak smile on his face while cradling Ben, the look in his eyes while coughing in the gas made Ken look up and glare at a stunned Joker.
"Oh my, someones blood thirsty!" the only answer he got was Ken aiming and firing the shotgun, narrowly missing Joker's head, the madman had a stunned look before ducking under another shot.
"It's CLOWN SEASON MISTAH J!" was all Ken yelled with a hint of joy in his voice while chasing after the deranged clown of Gotham, right hooking a thug who tried to tackle him, Ken stopped and blew his head off before moving up the stairs, stopping he moved back to Kick the doors to the bank open.
"Whoever can walk get out while you can" seeing Max moving out with the remaining visiters, Ken watched Max just sit there while holding Ben protectively.
Looking to the upper floor for any sign of the Joker, Ken quickly moved to his grandfather who looked up to him with hopeful eyes.
"Max, come on, we need to get you out of here" Ken gently said with a frown while Ben coughed weakly.
"I tried the best I could to stop the gas, Ken" hearing Max's defeated voice made Ken inhaled sharply as Ben looked up to Ken with tears in his eyes, a horrid grin forced onto his face.
"Ken… it hurts" staring at the face of his brother, Ken dropped the shotgun to hug Ben tightly.
"You'll be ok Ben, we just need to get Angela to have a check on you and Max, we're all getting out of this fucking city, I promise" standing up with Ben in his arms, Ken lead Max out the doors to be greeted by Paramedics and police officers, seeing Max and Ben tended to by the paramedics, Ken turned back to the Bank with a glare.
Looking over the crowd of people, Ken rushed back in with an officer calling out to him.
"Hey kid, The Joker's still in there!"
"I'm fucking counting on it!" was all Ken yelled back as he entered the lobby once more, retrieving the Shotgun from it's previous spot, Ken climbed up the stairs with a vengeance following him…. Along with a certain Dark Knight.
Moving through the shockingly long hallway for a bank, Ken ignored the bodies on the floor, his eyes glowed briefly with rage as he kicked a door open, showing an office area with an elevator, with Joker and a Goon trying to get it working.
"You're a fucking dead man JOKER!" ducking behind a desk as bullets sprayed where he just stood before, Ken snuck around to flank. Stopping at hearing steps to his right, Ken leaped up with the Shotgun aimed at the side of a shocked goons head before a baseball sized hole occupied where his face once sat. watching the goon fall down dead, Ken turned to a smiling Joker who stood with his arms in the air for a surrender, watching Ken walk to him, the Joker spoke.
"So you must be a junior officer to do that without a second thought" whatever he expected to happen, Ken getting him in the Stomach into the wall was not one of them, coughing loudly , Ken threw his Shotgun away as the Joker moved to get up, only to get knocked to the ground once more with Ken's right foot nailing him in the face.
"I'm not a cop you clown faced fuck!" kicking his head once more, Ken failed to notice Batman land behind him.
"I'm the guy whose little brother you nearly killed with that fucked up Gas you have" breaking a Chair to make a spike form the Legs, Joker looked up at Ken who moved to stab him if not for the useless fucker to stop him.
Feeling his makeshift stabbing weapon kicked form his hand, Ken grabbed batman's follow up punch.
Glaring into batman's stern look, Ken scowled as police rushed in with weapons drawn on the Joker, who laughed weakly.
"Oh bat's, you really do care" glaring at Batman who held his ground, Ken scowled under the makeshift mask before shoving Batman away, making the police around them aim at him.
Glaring at them too, Ken turned to Joker with a scowl.
"You days are still numbered clown, Better make peace with whatever bastard you wronged" with that he was escorted out.
Ignoring the hold, Ken ducked and gave one final Kick to Jokers head before he was dragged out, leaving Batman staring after Ken with a frown.
Finding himself in a secluded cell in the GCPD, Ken had a bored look on his face as the thugs in the cell with him cowered to the other side of the cell, one man on the floor with both his arms broken, Ken merely sat in wait for a bail out…
Which showed itself in the form of 2B and a disguised Aranea being led to his cell by Detective Cash, his hooked prosthetic pulling the door open.
"Tennyson… you're girls are here" standing up with a grunt, Ken stretched his shoulders before he turned to the cowering crooks.
"Boo" this action gained him whimpers before he left the cell, a small satisfaction on his mind before being led out by a frantic Aranea and 2B who looked him over for injuries.
"Max and Ben are in the Saint Thomas hospital, the doctors were able to treat Max but… they weren't sure on Ben when we left to get you" sparing a glance to Aranea as they made their way to the said Hospital. Ken was getting the dreadful feeling of Déjà vu as they moved through an elevator after being allowed in to visit.
The sight of Max and a sleeping Ben… left Ken weak as he moved to Max whose face was shown red from the aches of being forced to smile for so long, but seeing Ken, his eyes softened as his oldest Grandson pulled him into a hug.
"I hate Gotham" was all Ken said into Max's shoulder, trying to break the tension, Max gave a choked laugh before they separated, with Ken turning to a sleeping Ben with a frown.
"Is he ok?" seeing Max wince, Ken felt his stomach drop ever so slightly as Max spoke.
"They had to put him in a small coma, Whatever Joker used, it was a new Gas, I saw things… Things I never wanted to see again" shivering at the memories, Ken turned to Ben with worry in his eyes.
"Oh Ben" sitting down with Aranea hugging him, 2B stood at the door with a sad frown of her own, the others failing to see the rage in Ken's eyes as he held Aranea.
