Old grudges
Sitting within the unofficial meeting spot of the Truck aka the "Living Room", Ken sat with his attention fully on a supposedly revived Covrax, the Corvusian stood against the wall beside the Flatscreen with his arms crossed while Max digested the information givin by the ancient leader.
"So what you're saying is, when you're old rival slash friend turned enemy was absorbed into the Omnitrix, you offered yourself to be his warden if he ever escaped?" seeing Covrax nod with confirmation, 2B sighed.
"And now Zs'Skayr-?" turning to the Corvusian who nodded to her after her unasked question if that was the right name.
"Is free, we now have to deal with him hunting Ken down to become able to stand in sunlight like he could when Ken turned into an Ectonurite?" seeing Covrax sigh he nodded.
"My peoples seers foresaw his vanishment and re-emergance, so I tracked down the one who had been said to be collecting DNA from the many galaxies to offer my own, it was during my twilight years that I finally found her, a Vilgaxian known as Myaxx who was working for the First think Azmuth, a Galvan like the one you call Megamind" seeing Ken's eyes widened in recognition, he leaned forward with a frown.
"Why exactly was Azmuth making the watch?" seeing Covrax look down in thought, he looked back to Ken with full focus.
"It was supposed to be a way to bring peace to several galaxies who were on the brink of war, when they had learned of it's development and who was making it did they call a ceasefire, curious to see the device upon completion… They immediately banded together when Vilgax came into the picture seeking for a weapon" nodding to Ken who leaned back as an old drone hovered beside him and Aranea.
"Nice job being the first to end his cruelty by the way" making Ken snort, it was this moment Genji spoke.
"So how are we going to stop Zs'Skayr without the risk of being possessed?" seeing The Corvusian sigh, he spoke with a defeated tone.
"I must apologise for saying this, but only me and Kenneth here may be the only ones to stop him, the Kinceleran may be able to join us in our assault, but I don't know if it will be possible, the Bastard is a slippery one I'll give him that" stopping himself from saying more at seeing both 9S and 2B raise their hands.
"We're not organics, but androids, will that be of use" standing up, Evelyn let her eyes glow.
"And I'm a Demoness, do I have a risk of possession?" staring at the three as Ken smiled while leaning back on the couch, Covrax spoke with amusement in his voice.
"Our chances may have gotten higher for success"
"Getting up now, Ken spoke while stretching his shoulders.
"Alright, let's go stop the circus freaks and their new boss" giving Ken a confused look, Ken spoke while climbing out the trailer with Covrax phasing through the wall to land beside him.
"Why are the circus freaks a priority?" was all Covrax said as he moved at pace with Ken.
"He'll no doubt look for extra muscle to take me out, plus I wouldn't put it pass an asshole to possess one of them" humming in thought as the selected team members exited the truck, Max called out to Ken who turned.
"You'll need this Ken, be careful" seeing a weapon of sorts tossed to him, Ken caught it to see it's barrel a wide screen with a yellow tint to it.
"It's a Sun gun, fires a blast as bright as daylight" nodding to Max as his armor shifted over his being, Loki turned to Covrax who nodded, placing his mask over his beak, Evelyn and the androids following them as they left the truck and Rust Bucket.
Aranea had taken to wearing a body suit from Max.
Fixing a sleeving she stood beside Ken who was dialling through the Omnitrix.
"Any plans?" turning to her with a knowing smile, Ken was surrounded by a green flash before being replaced by Hermes, smiling at Aranea, she smiled back.
Turning to Covrax who was staring at the two, He spoke.
"So how are we gonna draw out Zs'Skayr, since it's dark out?" seeing Covrax sigh with a slouch in his shoulders, the Corvusian spoke while gesturing to Ken.
"Against my better judgement I was planning to have you as bait, I apologize if that is of any offense" shrugging at the implication, Ken spoke.
"Every plan has either a decoy or bait" moving to run ahead, the sounds of screams from the campus made them all perk up.
"Alright, that's most likely them, let's go" zooming ahead with Aranea, Covrax held both of his weapons before rushing after them alongside the androids and Evelyn.
Seeing the scene of chaos and panic, Ken glared at a literal Army of HY3NA clones running rabid, Thumbskull and Acid Breath leading the charge, no sign of Zs'Skayr if Ken hadn't noticed the eerily quiet lead HY3NA who stood upright, a pleased grin on his crooked mouth.
Seeing them all slow down to a crawl, Ken and Aranea moved through the army to deliver killing blows, knocking HY3NA off his feet with a kick to his groin, Ken moved around Thumnskull and Acid Breath as Aranea sent them down painfully.
Nodding to each other, the two zoomed away as time resumed at normal speed, with the possessed HY3NA giving a gurgle at the sudden pain, a pain Zs'Skayr felt for the first time as Ken rolled to stand above the two in one psycho.
"So, how does that pain feel Zs'Skayr?" seeing the shock in HY3NA's body language, a gutteral growl escaped the crazy who leaped up in an attempt to slash Ken's throat, only to find the turned Kineceleran standing beside Aranea who smiled smugly.
"HOW DID YOU KNOW IT WAS ME!?" it was this moment Covrax rose up beside Ken, Evelyn held Acid Breath down with her left foot on the base of his neck, leaving Thumbskull grunting in pain as 2B and 9S had their respective swords at his neck.
Seeing this, Zs'Skayr scowled as he turned to Covrax alongside Ken as they approached.
"Give up Zs'Skayr, you're plan wont work" scowling as he glared at Ken, he spoke with a growl.
"Kill them all" saying this, he left HY3NA's body to tackle the Corvusian away, leaving HY3NA alone until his back exploded with a new army of clones ready to fight, giving a laud war cry, Ken and Aranea stared at the horde with wide eyes.
"Ok, that's a lot of clones" watching as they were surrounded by bloody mouthed clones, Ken turned to the alpha HY3NA to see him helped up by two clones, showing his body to be beyond malnourished as he was pulled away.
Narrowing his eyes, Ken found himself blocked from Aranea who began to kick and slash.
"Keep moving!" was all Ken said before he was forced to duck under a tackle, looking around quickly he found Zs'Skayr and Covrax in the middle of a grudge Match.
Jumping over a diving clone aimed for where he stood before, he kicked off of a head to be over the crowd, Aranea seeing his movements, spun quickly with a tornado moving in her place, she threw herself up from the momentum to get over to a struggling Evelyn who had her claws impaling a clone.
Grabbing her carefully, Aranea then moved to 2B and 9S, Ken grabbing both of them below his arms, they moved to higher ground to set them down safely.
Turning as the horde moved in confusion, Ken slapped the Omnitrix to take the form of Heatwave.
"One moment please" was all Ken said before flying above the now focused Horde, watching them claw to the sky at him, he gathered heat into himself before diving downward, setting the world aflame with a roar of effort, Ken brought forth a pillar of lava to end the horde.
The magma cooling in seconds after the bloodbath ended, Heatwave took notice to Covrax being overpowered by Zs'Skayr, holding his own defiantly as he fired into Zs'Skayr's chest, the Ectonurite gave a roar before being sent flying by a fire imbued punch, seering his exposed skull Zs'Skayr roared in pain while writhing on the floor.
Seeing this Covrax looked up to Heatwave who nodded at him, flashing green once more, with DiamondHead helping Covrax to his feet before they turned to Zs'Skayr who scowled at the two.
"You meddlesome, HUMAN!" scowling at the two, Ken brought forth a diamond sword and shield while Covrax brought out another set of shotguns.
"I'm a hero Ghost Freak… It's in my job description"
And before the two could charge, Ken's eyes widened at a dreadful beeping as Zs'Skayr grinned wickedly as he surged forward as Ken flashed red.
Leaving him in his human form as Zs'Skayr reached for his face.
