there's a surprise in this chapter
Slashing the throat of the first Knight to open the door, RedBack snarled viciously as he ducked under a swung sword, slashing the muscle on the back of the knee, the Knight gave a yell of pain before he found his own sword jabbed up through his chin as he fell.
Leaving the corpse to fall to slide towards his next target, Ken kicked himself from the corpse to slide on his left knee, his right foot snapping upward to strike the next Knight's left knee, bending it back with a crack, the result was once again a yell of agony as the Knight fell onto his back, leaving himself open for Claws to pierce his throat.
Leaving the last two knights to share a look before snapping back to Redback who growled at them, stalking towards them before he lunged forward with a war cry.
Grabbing both by the throat, Ken shoved them back with one being thrown through a window while the other one gave out a crack upon his back impacting the cobblestone wall, giving out an agonised wail as he reached for his back, failing to see Red back stalk towards him with his blood soaked mouth rising to bare his fangs.
Reaching for his own sniper, Redback took aim and put the Man down to end his misery, the gunshot echoing to the now bussling Castle.
Snapping his head to the right, RedBack hissed in annoyance as he rushed to the window, holstering his weapon, the Therini-sapian lunged through with a spark coming from his right shoulder upon scraping on the metal window frame.
Staring at the height, Redback spun with his right wrist mounted hook shooting up to latch onto the castle.
Swinging himself to the grassy terrain, he ignored the Large red smudge in metal suit, Redback gave a look of disinterest as he began to flee from the castle, flashing green to rush off as Hermes.
"What do you mean you lost the signal?" was Angela's fearful question as the Celestials stood around the elderly man as he typed away on a terminal a Helmet strapped to his and Aranea's head.
"I'm saying this never happens, this tech is far beyond humans current time, this shouldn't have happened!" seeing the fear evident on Max's face with Aranea taking off the helmet, she spoke softly.
"What does it mean with the signal being lost?" seeing Max spare a glance to her, he closed his eyes for a moment before shaking his head.
"No, I know for a fact Ke fighter, been one since he was born" typing more for any sign, Akali went to speak if not for a knock on the Rust Bucket's door gained they're attention.
Sharing a concerned look, Ahri went to open the door before it was thrown open by Ken of all people, hugging her desperately.
"I ain't in a simulation, right?" staring at those gathered, Max spoke.
"You're awake Ken… that's all we can ask for to be honest" seeing Ken sigh with his shoulders sagging in relief, Ken planted his lips on Ahri's before he was set down by Angela who looked him over.
"They made me have the best morning during that Sim, All you girls were there and it was heaven" rolling her eyes while shining a light into his pupils, Ken's hands drifted to Angela's hips with the doctor looking down at him.
"They feel just the same" rolling her eyes while planting a kiss on Ken's forehead, he was guided to the bed in the Rust Bucket by 2B.
"2B, I figured out a name for you and 9's" giving the man a look of amusement, he held her close with a dazed smile.
"Imma call you Nora and 9 Jaune" seeing the two androids share a look, 2B blinked before a bright smile.
"I love it" smiling at the android, Ken became a snoring mess
Several days later
Upon finally getting a break from all the weirdness, such as being forced into memory lane by a fanatical Knight cult, Ken along with the gang were on the Beach, only, Ken was missing alongside Venessa as the others merely relaxed, finally getting a break from Ken's short abduction, Aranea, in her human disguise, stared at a nearby family with a small smile.
Which grew at hearing Venessa laughing in the water as a large mass beneath the water rose up with the people gawking as a large turtle rose up, sporting the Omnitrix symbol on it's nose with Venessa holding on tightly as it sunk back down, rising up as a Large Sea horse much to the astonishment of those watching.
Ken had been getting used to Shift a lot lately, which Aranea was thankful for as it allowed Ken to use a more playful side for Venessa.
"Now that's awesome" turning to Hope as she watched the spectacle, Aranea agreed whole heartedly before a moment of fun the two returned, with Ken sporting a grin while Venessa clung to his shoulders, making whale noises all the same.
And upon seeing Aranea, the little disguised Kinerceleran zipped to her mothers side excitedly.
"Mom, did you see it, did you see Dad and Me!?" nodding while the little one climbed onto her mothers lap, Ken gave a chuckle as he shook his head to rid him of the water in his hair.
Sharing a smile with Aranea, Ken was sooner dragged back to the water by Hope and Ahri, allowing Aranea to hug her daughter who hummed in contempt as Kevin and Ben were making a Sand castle, with Kai'Sa and Akali out doing them with an expert level sculpture of sand.
Gwen merely sat beside Evelyn under an umbrella while Max was welding together a contraption with a newly named Jaune's(9S) assistance, while Nora(2B) merely allowed her body to take in the solar rays, her body gaining the attention of many nearby men and women.
Many looks being ones of lust and envy, that Evelyn basked in, watching Ken lift up Ahri on his shoulders while Hope tried to tackle him into the water.
"It is good to relax for once" turning to Genji as he sat with a pair of shades over his eyes, Hanzo was watching the surroundings with a relaxed air around himself while Lupa and Amelie were tossing shells in a makeshift game of sack toss.
With Lupa being helped with her aim by a smiling Amelie.
"I couldn't agree more, the last few days have been hectic" nodding to Max, Jaune went to pick up another piece of a thruster before hearing screams, making them all sigh in annoyance.
Looking to the ocean, the sight of a Giant mutated Seagull made Aranea have a flash back to the Parakeet.
"I have the feeling Animo is around somewhere" turning to the annoyed mother, Venessa had a similar expression.
Seeing a green flash, the Mutated Seagull was knocked to the floor by Four arms whose attire was that of swimshorts.
Seeing the Gull about to lunge at Ken, the Tetramand right hooked the bird, sending it squawking at the attacks before fleeing, leaving the group watching it fly out of sight before Ken returned to human with a green flash.
Walking back to the others with an annoyed Hope and Ahri.
Setting himself down beside Aranea's chair.
Ken noticed all eyes on him as he leaned back, licking his lips, he shrugged.
"I'm not even gonna bother today" getting a snort from Angela as she approached with a bag of chips in hand, the smell of food made them all gather to the maiden of food as she held a bag of fish and chips.
"I return with delightful snacks and lunch" smiling at her, they all gathered at a nearby table as people began to return to the Beach.
With Ken surfing on a hired board with Akali and Kai'Sa following him, the trio had gotten a lot of looks from those who recognised the pop Stars on the Beach, hell Evelyn was asked by a few fan girls for her autograph alongside Ahri who smiled for a selfie by a crying fan, hugging the girl who hugged back, most of the guys were intimidated by Ken's glare as a few had attempted to flirt with Akali and Ahri at one point.
Those watching were shocked as the two had flocked to Ken who gave a smug look as he held them firmly, Akali moving Ken's hand to her ass cheeks while Ahri snuggled into his collarbone.
After that those assholes kept away with stares of envy at Ken.
Who began to flaunt that fact with Kai'Sa and Evelyn hanging around him, pretty much what they always do when on break.
Moving back to the surfing, Ken stood calmly before seeing a tube in the wave.
Smiling at this, Ken dove down the wave to slide into the tube, grinning at this, Ken made a mental checklist to buy a go pro.
Looking ahead, Ken frowned at a head popping out of the water before he turned to the side.
Staring at the head, Ken blinked at seeing…
Deadpool… of all people.
And seeing the Merc with the Mouth wave at him happily, the wave consumed him with Ken slowing himself down to wait for the red suited merc to emerge from the water.
Only to fall off his board as it was capsized by a gurgling Deadpool who climbed onto the board.
Removing his mask to vomit the water from his lungs, Ken emerged from the water to swim back to his board.
And the voice that greeted him was none other than Ryan Fucking Reynolds.
"Hey, sorry about that capsize, couldn't breath with my lungs filling with blood and water" staring at Deadpool with a confused yet excited smile.
"Uh, okay first question what exactly do you know of the universe?" staring at Ken for a moment, Deadpool gave a laugh.
"Oh I wont spoil it for the readers, also say hi to Death Fury for me oh and that dude, Han Daewi" giving him a confused look, Deadpool stared back at ken before he turned his head to an empty space.
"Hey E-I, you planning to do that little show with Viral and the KDA group?"
"Who are you talking to- actually don't answer that, I don't want to know" turning back to Ken, Deadpool gave a laugh.
"It's best you don't know so you don't have an existential crisis" looking to his watch, which somehow worked still, he patted Ken on the head.
"Welp, Uncle Wayde is gonna get back to treasure hunting, Toodles!" with that he dived back into the water… leaving Ken thoroughly confused before he turned to see Akali ride close to him.
"Ken, you ok?" looking back to the spot Deadpool once resided, he nodded slowly before climbing back onto his board.
"Yep, just thoroughly confused"
