Secret of the Omnitrx
Why is it whenever we try to have a normal day, we always get side tracked by either a robbery, a villain, or one of Ken's small time rogues.
Not helping the fact, Max, Ben and Gwen attempted to stop Animo without them for back up, Venessa was with Kevin and Aranea back at the Truck/Rust Bucket, Ken was moving through an old abandoned Nuclear factory, with Animo's pets being a theoretical wall between them and Animo.
"Genji to you're right!" sliding under a mutated Scorpions right claw, Hanzo set it spazzing from a shock arrow which allowed Genji to slice clean through the armoured insect while Amelie sniped mutant bats from down the tunnel beside Kai'Sa and Blackfire.
Vivia was zooming around in short bursts as a distraction, Akali was slicing alongside Evelyn whose tails/scarf stabbed as she strolled after the female ninja, Ahri was setting mutant animals aflame before Ken nailed them with his lancer, stopping to rev the saw to cut down a Mutant mole to his right.
Ken gave a growl as he was joined by Lupa who tackled another Mole with her teeth ripping out it's throat. Howling as she moved ahead as Ken finished reloading, the man gave a laugh as he gave covering fire alongside Hanzo.
"Remind me to ground Ben and Gwen when this is over" turning to Hanzo in amusement, the group found a large door leading to the main reactor room, and seeing the metal, Ken flashed green before taking on the form of Burnout, the Magmadon pounding his chest before approaching the wall, magma leaking from his mouth before it burst forth with a roar, melting the wall before a pipe burst, the heat and explosion making an entrance which the celestials entered through, with Ken stepping through in his human form, his lancer resting on his right shoulder.
"Oh doctor, we have a scheduled check up!" seeing the mad doctor turn to them with a scowl.
The doctor spoke.
"Fools!, in less than a minute. The world will get a lesson it will never forget!" taking aim at Animo as he smiled, Ken's eyes snapped up suddnely at hearing familiar wing bats.
"In the mean time, meet my latest creation" looking up at seeing a rip off of Stinkfly, the celestials split as the insectoid surged down onto Ken.
The armor keeping him safe from the very sharp stinger, the impact though hurt.
Holding the pincers while forcing the stinger down with his right foot, Ken was relieved of this burden with Lupa leaping onto it's back to bite it's carapace, making the bug writh in alarm and panic, Amelie swung into the room to fire two shots into's legs.
"Vivia, get the trio free, we'll handle the bug!" firing to assist Lupa who had moved onto the wings after the bug tried to fly, Ahri joined the fray by snagging the bugs arm with a fire whip.
Seeing the mutant taken down by a sonic arrow that ruptured the bugs head, Ken turned to the doctor who scowled.
"You may have stopped my pet, but you won't be able to stop my Bomb from changing the world!" staring at a exhaust port, Ken steeled himself as he flashed green, taking the form of Heatwave who sent a torrent of fire into the port, making the others watch in confusion as Animo gawked as his machine began to overload.
"YOUR OVERLOADING THE SYSTEM!" running away as the others began to help Ken, Ahri sending her own torrent of fire, Kai'Sa sent a volley of her missiles in, Hope added magic in along with Blackfire.
Seeing the count down stutter into a error, the team stopped their attack, looking for Animo, the team sighed in annoyance at no sign of the doctor.
Moving to dismantle the bomb, they all stopped as it beeped alarms, making them all scramble for cover while Ken moved to follow.
Turning back he was hit by the wave with the Omnitrix symbol sparking orange.
Flashing green as his armor took the brunt of the impact. Ken stared through his HUD before the visage of Akali came into his line of sight.
"Ken, you okay?" groaning as his helmet peeled back to allow fresh air, Ken looked up to her with a pained smile.
"Still handsome?" getting a snort of amusement from the ninja as she helped him stand, Ken went to speak if not for his attention to shoot towards the Omnitrix as it glowed orange.
Staring at the worrying sight with a foreboding knowledge, Ken looked up to see Blackfire dragging an unconscious Animo behind her alongside Angela.
"Well, that's one mess taken care of, whose up for some R at the mall in the city next over?" seeing them all smile at him, Ken followed, staring down at the Omnitrix as it flashed to green, though Ken knew better than that, already he could feel the countdown creeping ever so further.
Inhaling slightly before following the others, Ken hoped Tetrax was on his way cause he did not know how to handle this on his own.
Stepping into the clothing store with Aranea, Venessa was beside Gwen trying on all sorts of clothing, with Kevin pulling out a Vest, which Ben looked at with Interest as it held the Omnitrix insignia between the horns of Ken's helmet on the back.
Looking to Ken as he held a Jacket before him, this one had the members of KDA posing on the back.
Looking to the window of the store, the present KDA members were getting swarmed by fans, Akali was even posing for a selfie with a peace sign.
Lupa and Amelie were at the truck with Vivia.
Hanzo and Genji were getting food from a convenience store alongside Angela who had gone to get medical supplies.
Smiling as he moved to another jacket, Ken's hairs stood up as the Omnitrix beeped with a orange glow from the faceplate.
Staring in alarm, Ken turned to Hope who was trying on a pair of shoes.
"Hope, Forcefield now!" seeing her turn to him in confusion, her eyes snapped to the Omnitrix as the orange field grew.
Snapping to action in alarm, Ken braced for the boom as the Field barely held the EMP shot outward, leaving Ken hissing in pain as his arm smoked from the heat built up.
Feeling Hope beside him, she turned to Max who moved in as well.
"Get Angela, he's burnt!" staring at the arm as it grew red with skin peeling off, Ken winced as he held his elbow tightly.
Sitting within the camp with Angela carefully wrapping his arm with a ice cold bandage, Ken looked to the night sky as the camp sat with all eyes on Ken.
"What happened?" looking to Max as Aranea held Venessa on her lap, the kineceleran was eating marshmallows alongside Genji.
"Don't know, Ken just told me to make a forcefield around the Omnitrix, when I saw it glowing orange I didn't know that would happen" sighing as he flexed his left hand, Angela winced at hearing the joints pop.
Giving a grunt Ken sighed as he moved to sleep the pain off, followed by an hour later that Aranea joined him in his cot beside a small fire to keep warm while he slept.
Venessa was in her own swag with the sunroof zipped open, her form sleeping soundly.
Hugging Aranea in his sleep, Ken placed a kiss on her head before the two got more comfy.
Though it was when the others went to sleep that they were interrupted, with Ken shielding his eyes at the sun worthy light from above. Holding Aranea firmly as the wind picked up, the sounds of engines powering down made them all stand up in alarm.
And seeing a figure in the cloud of dirt picked up from the landing, Ken shielded his eyes as the figure stood as the cloud settled down, with Ken staring with a smile.
"Tetrax, been a while" getting a small chuckle from Tetrax, he nodded in greeting.
"Indeed it has, Ken…" looking to the gathered group, he spoke with clear amusement.
"it seems you're group has gotten bigger" turning to Aranea as she leaned against Ken's right, his eyes shined in surprise.
"Princess Aranea, I did not know you were on this planet" seeing her nod in greeting, Max spoke.
"So what brings you here, the last we saw you, we dealt with those Bounty hunters Vilgax sent?" seeing Tetrax turn from Max to Ken, he spoke.
"My scanners picked up the SDM signal from the Omnitrix" looking to the watch with Tetrax noticing the burns, Ken frowned in thought before he spoke in acceptance.
"SDM, self destruct mode" getting looks of alarm, Aranea held Ken firmly as she looked to the Omnitrix with a look of betrayal.
"The Omnitrix has been broadcasting it's signal twenty hours ago, who knows who else has gotten that signal" looking to Ken as Aranea looked between Tetrax and Ken, she spoke with urgency.
"Y-you have a way to stop it right, you can Help Ken?" seeing Tetrax sigh, Aranea paled as she turned to Ken who exhaled with the celestials staring in growing horror.
"Only Azmuth would know how to shut the SDM off" getting looks of confusion from the humans of the group, the alien part however perked up in recognition.
"Azmuth, he hasn't been seen or heard of in years, ever since Vilgax began hunting for the Omnitrix" looking to the watch as the hourglass button had a orange line around the edge of green, thin at best due to not being used.
"I have equipment on my ship that'll help us scan the Omnitrix for Azmuth's DNA signature… think of it as an autograph but done with ones own blood" shivering at the image, Tetrax continued.
"After that we'll be able to scan the galaxy and find him, and hopefully shut it down before lives are lost"
Looking to the watch, Tetrax continued.
"Judging by the timer, we have five earth days till it detonates, so I'm sorry to say this but, be sure to say goodbyes for now, we need to hurry" staring at Tetrax as he stepped back to give Ken some space, he rubbed his eyes as the gravity of the situation sunk in, with Ben and Gwen moving to him in worry.
"You're gonna get through this right" turning to Aranea as she stared up to him, her worry seen on her face while Angela held back a sob.
Staring at Aranea in uncertainty, Ken narrowed his eyes with determination.
"I'll be sure of it, like Tetrax said, we have five earth days, if we leave now we have a start against the clock" seeing her blink, she gave his lips a kiss.
"You better get back here, Ken… I... I don't want to lose you too" setting his head against hers, Ken smiled.
"I'll be back before you know it" turning to the others, Ken smiled as Max brought him into a big hug, making Ken laugh weakly while patting the old man's back.
Leaning back from Ken, Max spoke.
"You better come back, Ken… we nearly lost you once, we're not losing you again" nodding to Max, Ken turned to the KDA members before they snatched him into a Group hug, Evelyn shaking visibly against him.
Stepping up to the plate, Amelie spoke with Lupa.
"We're going with you" moving to deny them, Lupa spoke.
"Where the alpha goes, so does the pack" staring at her, Ken shook his head.
"Not everyone is coming, the planet may have the League, but it will need you lot as well" seeing them narrow their eyes at him, Blackfire spoke firmly as Vivia stepped forward.
"You won't be alone, this will be you're second time being off planet, you'll need a guide and I can tell for a fact Tetrax won't be up for being a tour guide" turning to the Petrasapian, he shrugged at the statement.
Sighing at the logic, Ken nodded weakly.
"Fine, Amelie, Lupa, Vivia… Komand'r, load up" seeing Venessa move to his side, Ken held her firmly.
"Don't go please" hugging his surrogate daughter with tears growing in his eyes, Ken kissed her head gently, rubbing her back to console the now crying child, Aranea went to pull her away if not for Venessa to zip away, making Aranea look after her in worry.
"Go be with her, she'll need you while I'm gone" getting a nod from Aranea, Ken turned to the ship before turning to Kevin.
"Be the man while I'm gone Kevin" nodding as Kevin gave a salute, the man followed after Tetrax alongside those coming with him. Stepping onto the platform before it lifted up. Ken gave a salute which made Max give one in return.
