Desolate Gale

Crying at the sight that it sees

The desolate gale, the delicate breeze

Flowing over the bodies of the dead

A path of death, the soldiers tread

Playing with the hair of the Holy Knight

The only one who survived the bloody fight

A light kiss upon his pale cheek

In a lulling voice did the wind speak

A quiet whisper in his ear

A finger to his lips, "You have nothing to fear"

"At the sight of war I did weep"

"Drowning in sorrow an ocean deep"

"The world rests upon your wings"

"Agony and anguish it only brings"

"You have felt the pain of a brother"

"Lived life like no other"

"Wallow in despair you must not"

"Though kind and compassionate your heart will rot"

"Spread your wings before they fall apart"

"Falling white feathers a work of art..."

" Save them all from their doomed fate"

"Life's too short, it's never too late"

"Why me?" Tears fall from his azure eyes

"Tomorrow lives...yesterday dies..."

Author Notes

Yes, another poem dedicated to Zeronova, authour of Desolate Gale: Redux...which has been updated! Cheers to that!
