AU: This is a SpaceScientist/Muggle!AU. The characters will, of course, be a bit OOC. The fic takes place in the future.

Disclaimer: I do not know anything about spaceships, astronauts or Space Research Organization. So, if I completely messed something up, yes, it's my fault. Also, it has information which is not true. So, please. Don't call me out on that. I know it. This is supposed to be a work of fiction.

It contains Mpreg.

Oh, and I don't own Harry Potter. Or anything Harry Potter-related. But the plot's still mine.

Harry Potter was having a meeting. A deadly boring meeting.

"Remind me why I decided to be a space scientist again?" he asked one of his closest friends, Hermione, who was also a high-level space scientist like him. His other friend, Ron, was a professional footballer.

"Because you found space interesting and claimed that its secrets needed to be uncovered?" Hermione whispered to him. Unlike him, Hermione was a sucker for rules and to her, being caught talking in a meeting almost no one pays attention to, is as bad as dying.

"Yes, its secrets needed to be uncovered but not like this. Not when more than half of us are dying inside because of the dreadfully boring meeting!" Harry exclaimed. Unfortunately, his voice was a bit loud and heard by the Director - Severus Snape. He was possibly the most strictest man in the universe but also a brilliant teacher. He was the only one who juggled two jobs at the same time - teaching, and being the Supervisor of the Institution since the previous Head had died.

"You want to say something, Mr. Potter?" he asked in his silky voice while some people flinched. Severus Snape was absolutely lethal when he wanted to be.

"Uh...no, Professor," Harry said. Even though he had not been Snape's student for seven years, he still called him 'Professor' because of habit.

"Well then, you might want to say what you were telling-" Snape never got a chance to finish his sentence since, at that moment, another one of Harry's colleagues, Luna Lovegood barged into the room.

"We are having an important meeting, Ms. Lovegood," Snape said, annoyed while most of the others in the meeting discreetly sighed in relief. They would be dead if Snape saw them sighing in relief because the meeting had been interrupted.

"I'm most sorry for that, sir. But, it is really important," Luna said, her bright blue eyes focusing on Snape with alarming intensity. Luna Lovegood was one of those people who could see the best of every situation and had a very creative mind. She was able to solve most - if not all - of the problems which were thought to be impossible. Luna was also younger than most so everyone just adopted her as a little sister.

Luna had not been coming to the meetings for just over six months. She claimed that she had been working on an important project that required most of her time and those of her Department had said it was true. Not that Luna ever lied to anyone. When she said that she had something important, she meant that and even their Director let her off because even he had grown somewhat attached to Luna (not that he would admit it.)

"What is it then, Ms. Lovegood?" Snape asked with interest. Usually, her research unearthed something fascinating which became the talk of the month in the entire world. However, seeing Luna's grave face worried him.

"Harry, can I please borrow your laptop?" Luna asked calmly. Harry had helped her with practically everything when her father died during her second-to-last year (Harry's last year). They had bonded and they behaved as siblings in all but blood.

"Of course, Luna," Harry said, glad to see his sister and have some distraction from the deadly-boring meeting at the same time.

"Thank you," Luna said and, with a few dozen clicks, showed them what she wanted them to see.

"Oh no," Draco Malfoy - Harry's past schoolyard nemesis, present lover - murmured. It seemed that Luna had been researching solar flares. Solar flares usually occurred in small amounts during which times it was advisable to take shelter underground. It didn't cause anything major to happen. The one 'ultimate' solar flare happened thousands of years ago during the times when Dinosaurs went extinct.

It was estimated that another solar flare would occur fifty years from now but Luna went deeper and found that the solar flares were out of control, if it continued, then the 'ultimate' solar flare would hit the solar system ten years from now and destroy all of the planets, including Earth.

"We need to take steps. First, we need to find a suitable planet which would support life. All of you, meeting dismissed. Talk with Ms. Lovegood and try to find another planet as fast as possible. We are running out of time. I will inform the other countries so that they can research as well," Snape said in a no-nonsense voice without any emotion. It looked like the very-probable destruction of earth a decade from now didn't seem to have any effect on him.

"Yes, sir," all of them said in unison. It was not the time to panic, it was time to research and potentially save the lives of millions.

Harry returned back home - it was a small apartment, really - and found Teddy doing his homework.

Teddy was his godson. His parents, Remus and Nymphadora Lupin had died when he was just six months old. Harry had graduated out of the advanced-space science university a few months back and it was the most hectic year for him. Add to the fact that he knew virtually nothing about taking care of children, seeing that he didn't have any younger siblings.

Since Teddy didn't have any immediate family apart from Draco, and Harry was his godfather, both of them were granted custody of Teddy. After tons of fights, traitorous friends telling Harry that they behaved like an 'old-married couple', several disasters courtesy of Teddy and one drunken night later, both of them blurted out their affections for each other. One thing led to another and now they were in a healthy relationship with the shared custody of their godson/cousin.

"Hello, Teddy. How are you today?" Harry asked, looking fondly at the seven-year old child.

"I'm fine, daddy," Teddy replied. Although he knew about his real parents, he insisted on calling Harry and Draco 'daddy' and ' papa' respectively. Harry knew that Draco loved it when Teddy called him 'papa', however much he tried to deny it. The look of pure shock and happiness on his face the first time Teddy said 'papa' to him was enough proof.

"What did you learn in school today?" Harry asked as he interestedly looked at what Teddy was writing. It seemed like he was writing a short (and mistake-ridden, though good for his age) biography of Kalpana Chawla - Teddy's hero despite the fact that she met a tragic end.

Teddy happily blabbered away everything the school taught as Harry listened to him and started his research.

Five years, six months, seventeen days. This is how long it took them to find a planet. Harry snorted at the pure disbelief of the other countries' Directors of Space Organization. They just didn't want to show how talented they were, but, apparently, that couldn't be the case anymore.

This new planet was in another galaxy - not that far away from the Milky Way, only a few million light-years - and they had just decided to call it Earth II. It was so eerily similar to the earth that it was almost laughable. It was in the Goldilocks zone and the planet seemed habitable according to the pictures from the satellite. There was a bit less water and the oxygen percentage was a bit higher and the map was completely different but it was okay.

Reaching there would take approximately forty years with the advanced space-ships. All the nations were creating thousands of space-ships to accommodate the 7.9 billion people on Earth. However, it was plain that they wouldn't be able to fit in everyone. So, it was decided that those having heart-diseases, lung-diseases, cancer and are older than sixty would not go. And, of course, no murderers or thieves or rapists. It cut the rate by an astonishing ⅔rds of people.

Previously, there was talk of only letting the children go since children have fresh minds and would be able to create a more beautiful and functional planet whereas the adults would simply try to recreate what they have on earth. However, all of them protested since children wouldn't be able to survive a month, tops.

Five months before the solar flare, they were ready to launch.

Harry looked around the spaceship with Draco - he had gotten permission to go on the same ship with Hermione, Ron, Luna and Teddy - before he was asked to come back to the launch room and strapped tightly.

As the spaceship ascended and left the Earth - during which time Teddy and a few other kids screamed a bit - Harry looked at the Earth for the last time and shared a nostalgic look with Draco. Then, Harry looked around the windows and saw that millions of other spaceships were leaving the Earth.

After twenty minutes, a voice informed them that it was okay to take off the seat-belts. Harry unfastened his own with the help of Ron and then walked over - yes, walked, they created a sort of gadget that would enable them to walk and not just float - to help the other kids.

The moment the kids were out of the restraints, they rushed over to the windows with their parents, godparents, uncles, aunts and/or older siblings rushing after them. Teddy went off with Hermione and Ron. Another better thing was that they had a bunch of plants in every room to make sure that there was sufficient oxygen.

Harry looked around the spaceship and understood that this was life for him now. Until they reached Earth II. The other spaceships seemed to have vanished - no doubt taking a different route. This was done to make sure that even if one of the spaceships got destroyed, the others would be able to land safely.

"Harry, you want to explore the other rooms?" Draco asked, coming over to him. Harry was the only one not at the windows because he was distracted.

"Sure. Just let me find Teddy," Harry said as he searched for his godson.

"There!" Draco pointed and, sure enough, a wild mop of turquoise hair was visible just a little above an equally neon red hair. Ron always colored Teddy's hair in different shades - despite Harry and Draco's protests that the hair could get damaged - but turquoise seemed to be his favorite. Teddy's actual hair color was brown, like his father with blonde accents from his mother. His mother also loved to color her hair in ridiculous shades and neon pink was her favorite.

Harry knew that he shouldn't be insisting on carrying Teddy everywhere with him since he was with Ron and Hermione and virtually no damage could happen to him until a solar storm was hitting the spaceship. Which didn't seem very likely.

However, after the only successful attempt at kidnapping Teddy - being the son of a Head of the world's most brilliant Space Research Organization had its disadvantages - Harry had become quite paranoid about leaving Teddy out of his eyesight for even a minute. He was already an orphan - he had been one ever since he was a year old - and the idea of losing Teddy, his child, was too much for him. Fortunately, Draco and his friends seemed to understand.

"Teddy, come over here!" Harry shouted out before losing his footing for a bit as the spaceship took a sharp turn.

Teddy looked at the origin of the sound, smiled in an adorable child-like way and rushed towards them screaming 'Daddy' at the top of his lungs. The others watched, amused.

"C'mon, big man. Let's explore the other rooms, 'kay?" Harry asked as he lifted Teddy up. Even after repeated protests from both Draco and Harry that he was getting heavy, Teddy refused to walk somewhere and had to be carried. Not in public places, of course. And, absolutely not in front of Victoria - Ron's eldest brother, Bill and Fleur's eldest daughter.

This became the new routine.

Wake up. Wake Draco up. Shower. Eat breakfast. Talk with the others. Check progress.

Take turns in washing dishes. Go wake Teddy up. Give the kids their breakfast.

Take the kids to the schoolroom. Talk to the other scientists in the other spaceships with Draco, Hermione and Luna. Spend some quality time with Draco together.

Water the plants. Go about daily exercises. Collect Teddy from the schoolroom. Help him with homework. Send Teddy to the playroom.

Cook dinner every Sunday (the automated calendar and clock kept time even in space). Let Draco go and call Teddy. Eat dinner. Send the kids to bed. Share experiences about their time on Earth.

Talk to the scientists again. Go to bed. Talk with Draco. Go to sleep.

Dream of his parents dying. Dream of Teddy and his friends being tortured. Dream of Draco leaving him. Dream of the destruction of the people they had just left back on Earth.

Wake up to Draco trying to calm him down. Wake up feeling sweaty and having his throat raw from screaming. Make sure Draco's really there. Make sure Teddy's really there. Talk with Draco (who never seemed to be mad when he woke up from his sleep at the dead of the night) until they fell asleep.

Repeat.

The routine was broken when they were informed that some equipment on the spaceship had come loose and they needed someone to go there and fix it. There was no doubt who would go. Draco Malfoy was the world's best satellite and spaceship fixer. He donned his astronaut clothes - the kids laughed at how ridiculous Draco looked - ensured Harry that he would be fine and went out into space.

Two hours later - in which Harry had nearly gone mad from worrying (being out in space for so long wasn't good) - they heard great and horrible news. Harry, being the pessimist he was, asked for the horrible news first.

It seemed that one of the cables tethering Draco to the spaceship had come loose and Draco was literally hanging at the edge of the spaceship. The good news was, he had managed to fix the damage.

Harry, being horrified, immediately asked for a set of astronaut clothes and ignored the worried pleas from his friends. He couldn't allow Draco to die like this. He couldn't. Teddy would be devastated. Harry would be utterly broken. He had already seen his previous boyfriend, Cedric, die in front of him. Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy, Draco's parents and Severus Snape (yes, the same Snape), Draco's godfather would be heartbroken.

Harry slowly and steadily inched towards Draco, ignoring the fact that he was in space and anything could happen. He offered his hand to Draco who clung onto it like a lifeline. Slowly, with the help from everyone on board and Harry and Draco's very strong willpower, they made it back to the spaceship with no casualties.

As soon as both of them took their clothes off, Harry started screaming at Draco. Demanding a good explanation for giving him a heart-attack and almost leaving his parents childless and didn't he even realize that the others would be completely devastated if he died?

The others quietly filed out of the room, giving the couple some space. Draco, after hearing enough of it, shut Harry's tirade by kissing him and murmuring that he would never leave Harry.

Forty-four years, nine months and twenty-one days later, they saw a blue and green planet for the first time.

The kids had grown up and a couple of them even had kids of their own. Harry and co. had gotten old. Yet, none of them could suppress the childish glee that erupted within them when they finally landed on soil.

The other spaceships had already landed and many people rushed towards them, eager to see their families. Teddy rushed towards Victoire who gave him a blinding smile and finally kissed. Harry and his husband - for they had married while on board - looked at the new couple with happy smiles.

"You all are four years late! We were beginning to think that-" before Snape could even complete the sentence, Cepheus James Potter-Malfoy rushed towards Snape and tackled him down. The use of an advanced brew had made it possible for them to have children and Harry had finally relented on using it seven years earlier. The completely blinding smile that Draco gave him and the joy of holding his and Draco's child had been enough to erase the anxiety that he was not a good parent.

"So you are the uncle Sev papa talked about!" Cepheus exclaimed looking glad with the discovery. He had Draco's blonde hair and Harry's jade-like green eyes with gray flecks here and there. Cepheus, like Teddy, called Harry 'daddy' and Draco 'papa'.

"Ceph! Don't try to suffocate him!" Harry called out as his green eyes took in his environment - how long had it been until he had seen a forest? - and then watched, amused, as Snape connected the dots.

"Yeah, well, we accidentally took a detour and then the left wing kind of got partially-destroyed after being hit by a couple of asteroids and fixing it took months," Draco said as he run over (though he would claim the he just 'walked faster') to his parents and hugged them.

"What is your name?" Snape asked little Cepheus.

"Cepheus James Potter-Malfoy," he introduced himself.

"And, I'm going to guess that Mr. Potter has now become Potter-Malfoy?" Lucius asked.

"Yeah," Harry said with a faint hint of blush.

Narcissa smiled a genuine smile and said, "Welcome to the family, Harry, Cepheus."

She held out her hands. Harry and Cepheus rushed towards her and got enveloped in their warm and loving embrace, completely disregarding the others who looked on with soft smiles.

A/N- This is by far the most creative idea I've had.
