Chapter 3: Protect Her Draco
Hermione ended up in front of the last carriage in line seeing that all of the rest where full. She opened the door to be greeted by Draco. "Hello Miss. Granger, are you feeling better?" He asked in a concerned voice.
"Better than I was doing thanks, OH here you go thanks for everything." Hermione told Draco giving him his robe from in her bag. "How are you doing this evening then Mr.Malfoy?" Hermione asked him.
"Please Hermione just call me Draco." He said taking his robe. He then took her hand in his and kissed it softly. This made Hermione shiver. "We sound like teachers when we talk like this and it creeps me out."
"Ok then Draco lets get going then." She told him closing the door making the carriage start rolling down the road.
The sorting ceremony took longer then Hermione would have thought but she also had other things on her mind. A certain blonde headed boy with deep gray eyes that also seemed to be preoccupied in his own thoughts could not stop looking over toward her. Even with Pansy Parkinson trying to draw his attention toward her was failing miserably. He was so entranced with Hermione that he could not think or do anything without Hermione jumping in his actions.
Once everyone was stuffed to bursting point and the plates cleaned, Dumbledore called Hermione and Draco forward.
"I assume that both of you know that you shall be sharing a dorm. You shall have your own rooms, one bathroom, and a common room." He told them. "Right then lets get to your new accommodations." He finished leading out of the hall and along the corridors. As they followed him they could hear him humming this muggle song called "Opps I did it again". Hermione giggled at him and looked over to Draco to see him trying with all his might trying not to laugh. They smiled at each other before looking away and stopping right behind Dumbledore. "Ah I believe this is it. Now what was that password, oh right EXCITEMENT!" He told the picture of a snake and lion lying next to each other swing open at Dumbledore's mention of the password. "Now goodnight to you both and hope you are both comfortable here." He told them and left them standing in front of the picture.
They both stepped into the common room. It had to be the most
beautiful place Hermione had ever seen. It was decorated with both
Gryffandor and Slytherin colors which went really well together. The
common room was only the beginning because as she took a look in the
bathroom she found it to be simply breath taking. It was a small sized
swimming pool with ten faucets going around the edge. There was also a
shower like a waterfall and his and her sinks.
She then
went to go to the bedrooms. Hermione went in hers and felt like a
queen. It was decorated in Gryffandor colors and was a girls dream
room. It had a huge bed; the floor was made of hard wood cherry wood,
and the furniture in the room all match and was cherry wood also. The
sheets on her bed were made of red silk along with a matching red
comforter. Hermione then went back in the bathroom to get ready for
bed.
Meanwhile in
Draco's room he loved everything about his room. It was designed like
Hermione's with Slytherin colors and his bed sheets and comfortable
were black.
He decided he would go and relax in the common room for bit now
that he knew where everything was and what it looked like. As he
walked back out to the common room he noticed Hermione was in the
bathroom crying. She not closed the door all the way and he could she
her face with the huge bruise on it. She had taken off the spell and
was now seeing the marks for the first time in full rank. He could not
believe what he was seeing. 'I can't believe that bastard dad this to
her! I can't imagine what would have happened if I had not stopped
him.' Well Draco you really do have a heart. A voice in Draco's
head said. Draco had had this voice there since he had turned 16 and
he had gotten used to it be now. ' Oh be quiet for a bloody moment
won't you?' He thought to the voice. Maybe for a bit but watch your
tongue next time! The voice told him. ' Sorry I will sir. I'm just a
little off tonight.'
Draco walked up to the door and knocked. "What do you need
Draco?" Hermione questioned him trying to clear up her tears.
"I wanted to make sure your doing ok. I heard you crying and
thought that you might need to talk so something." Draco told her with
a most definite hint of concern in his voice.
'He really has changed.' She thought to herself. She looked
through the crack of the door at him to be met by his deep gray eyes
that were full of concern for the first time that she had ever seen.
"I'll be fine thanks. I just couldn't hold it back anymore
sorry." She told him quietly as her eyes filled with tears again.
"There is nothing wrong with crying. It's really ok." Draco told
her.
"Thanks for everything. Well can you do me a favor pleases?" She
asked him. He nodded at her. "Could you please wait for me tomorrow
before leaving for breakfast? I just really fill better when I'm with
you." She asked him flushing pink while staring at the ground. 'Why
did you just say that?!' She thought to herself.
"Alright I'll wait just don't take too long ok." Draco said
giving her another rare smile. She smiled back and nodded as she
opened the door wider and left straight to her room.
She turned around before going and said, "Thank you Draco,
goodnight." and went right into her room.
The next morning Draco got up way earlier then he would have
normally would have. He was sitting on the couch waiting for Hermione.
The voice had woken him up at 4:30am telling him You really must do
something about her. You think about her all the time and it is
driving me nuts! HE told Draco. "Oh thank you for waking me up SIR!
And good morning SIR!" Draco yelled out loud at the voice.
He hated how the voice would 9/10ths of the time only think
about himself. Draco was sitting on the couch for about another 20min.
before the voice spoke making him jump. Draco your love approaches.
He told him, making him jump. He looked over toward Hermione's door
as it opened.
Hermione stepped out to see Draco sitting on the couch. She had
on the normal school uniform but since she had it fitted they were
nicely hugging every curve of her body. Her hair was half up half down
with a braid at the ponytail. She had on light make-up with black
eyeliner on.
"Have I been keeping you?" She questioned him.
"Nope just got up early and could not sleep any more." He told
her with googly eyes. "Ready then? Lets get going on down."
She grabbed her bag and they left. They walked side by side till
they reached the giant oak doors. Draco took Hermione's hand and said,
"Are you going to be ok?"
"Yes Draco, I'm just nervous about talking to everyone
especially Ron. That's all." Hermione told Draco. Then out of both of
their surprises she kissed him on the lips. And then quickly went for
the door, but before she could make it he grabbed her arm and pulled
her into a very passionate kiss.
Now that's the Draco that I've been looking for. the voice
in his head said to him as the two of them broke apart. They walked
into the Great Hall and went to their own house tables. Draco had a
smirk on his face not a mean one but an almost happy proud one. He
took his normal seat next to Pansy and Crabe. Pansy saw his smirk and
said, "Dracy you back to your normal self and done drooling over that
filthy mudblood?" Pansy asked with a seductive smile that ment only
one thing, sex. At that Draco was slapped hard from his encounter with
Hermione and brought back to reality. He looked over at Pansy and saw
her staring and batting her eyes at him.
"How dare you say something like that about her? How dare you
even address me like that also! It's Malfoy to you and don't ever talk
to me without me talking to you first! I can't even stand fucking
voice rambling on and on!" Draco yelled at Pansy making the whole hall
fall quiet. All Pansy could do was run out of the hall balling. He
felt so uch better now that hegot that stupid bitchto leave him alone.
She has no idea how wrong she is about somethings though. The voice
told Draco confusing him a little.
Across the hall thing wer'nt going any better for Hermione. She
tried not to speak or sit next to Ron but since she wanted to see
Harry there was no other way.
"Good morning," Hermione said sitting next to Harry.
"Hi 'Moine!" Harry replied, " You having a good start of year?"
"Could be better," She explained trying to dodge the whole Ron
thing, "I can't wait to start class though." She said smiling at the
thought of work taking her mind off the stuff that's been going on.
"Oh I can think of some better things to being doing." Harry
said looking over at Ginny with a smile on his face that could only
mean one thing.
"Me too." Ron added in to the conversation. He gave Hermione a
look of 'we are not finished yet'. "Right Hermione."
"No Ron I don't think so." She said trying to stay away from the
subject and at the same time she faught back pools of tears.
"What are two on about?" Harry questioned as he realized that
they were very tense when speaking to each other.
"Nothing." Hermione said quickly.
"You mean you haven't told anyone about out chat?" Ron whispered
under his breath with a hint of enjoyment in his voice.
"No, and if you'll excuse me I've lost my appitie." She said.
She started to stand up but Ron grabbed her arm before she could get
away.
"I don't think so!" Ron exclaimed. Harry had his full attention
on Ginny now and was missing what was happening between her and Ron.
Draco who had been keeping an eye on her saw what was happening and
got up to end this before it got out of hand.
"You and I have some unfinished business so be ready Granger."
Ron hissed in her ear.
Stop him Draco! She must not be harmed! The voice spoke in his
head. He arrived next to Hermione a few seconds later, "Are you
alright?" He asked her. He looked into her eyes and saw them start to
fill with tears and it broke his heart.
"Not really." She said very quietly still holding back the
tears, "I'm going back to the common room." She said a bit lounder.
"I told you to stay here, we're not done discusing what I was
saying!" Ron's voice was starting to rise from a whisper to a yell.
"You better not touch her again Weasel or you'll have no dick to
use again." Draco stated through gritted teeth. He raised an eyebrow
and started Ron down.
"Please can I go?" She tried again to get up this time managing
to slip past Ron and behind Draco.
"Just remember DEAREST we are not done with this." Ron said
sitting back down to eat.
" Oh she's done with it and if you touch her again you will pay,
remember that Weasel!" Draco said to him then turned around and led
Hermione out of the Hall. Once in front of the lion and snake picture
Hermione fell into Draco's arms crying.
"Please don't let him hurt me." Hermione said simply still
sobbing into his shoulder.
"Shhhh. Hermione I would never let anything hurt you. Your too
important to me." Draco said then kissed her forehead. He picked her
up and carried her to the couch. Get her some food, ahe has to stay
safe and unharmed. You must protect herDraco, I'am trusting you. The
voice said to Draco. 'Why a sudden intrest in her?' Draco asked the
voice. I have many things going on that you don't know about but are
a part of. Now just do as I say.The voice explained confusing Draco
again. You will understand later Draco, but now is not the time to
be discusing this take care of her first. 'Yes sir I'll do as you ask
of me and I know you will not fail your plan.' Draco finished his
conversation in his mind.
"Hermione would you like a bit of food before classes?" Draco
asked her. She nodded and said thanks as he handed her a plate of
toast and a cup of pumkin juice. After eating they both left for their
first classes.
