Chapter 3

Hello all I'm back, sorry this chapter came out later than last time. I recently flew my buddy to the other side of the US, so I was hanging with him for the day and writing this at night. This chapter was my favorite to write among the three, so I hope you all enjoy it, thank you all for the kind words and helpful criticisms. It's been a joy seeing this grow as much as it did, I'm so proud I made so many people interested. Before I start this chapter, I want to answer some questions I saw in the reviews. Some are wondering if I'll do more react fics and the answer to that is absolutely. I have a few ideas in mind already (John Wick, Hotline Miami, and maybe the first Outlast). If you have anymore you want to see message me or write them in the reviews, trust me I read them all like 100 times each. A couple of others wondering if I'll continue this one and yes, I will be, I'll be writing the Halloween 2018, Kills, and Ends in continuity with this fic.

Side note: some helpful people have pointed out the Reactionst Discord is a good place to receive writing advice. I tried looking it up but all I'm getting is static, does anyone know where I could find it or is my small brain to slow to realize how simple it is. Also I'm curious would people like to see more horror-oriented reaction stories or not.

Ok that should about do it for this last chapter, please enjoy and don't be afraid to tell me how good or bad I did with this one.

Thank you all so much for the support, it's been a fun first fanfic

The cast had been trying to decipher the doctor's words for what seemed like forever, even the screen paused at how long they were taking. The main question that was trying to be answered was why of all days did Subaru attack on this one. Each member in the audience had their own theory as to what Subaru's motivations were.

"It could literally be anything." Anastasia plainly offered.

"It must be his parents, their deaths most likely corresponds with the date." Crusch firmly believed.

"Got anything to back that idea of yours Karsten." Anastasia challenged.

"Based on his actions outside of stalking, what has Subaru done?"" Crusch asked rhetorically. "He went home and stole the gravestones of his parents. They clearly mean something to him, so this night has to connect with them."

"That's all? Figured you would bring more to the table seeing as how confident you were in your answer." The merchant princess wasn't impressed nor convinced.

"If you have something else Hoshin, I would be glad to hear it." The duchess narrowed her eyes at the other candidate.

"Frankly there is no answer to this question at the moment, we haven't even heard Natsuki speak for dragon's sake. And you're saying you understand what's going through the boy's head right now, it's laughable." Anastasia crossed her arms and glared back at her rival.

"At least I am attempting to solve this mystery, what are you doing, trying to gather more ways to make money." Crusch scoffed.

"At least I'm bein' upfront about not knowin' a thing about the boy and not acting like a know-it-all bit-'' Anastasia's insult was cut short by Emilia's intervention.

"This malarkey is getting us nowhere, maybe we should continue watching. We might get more information than we currently have." The half-elf suggested not wanting a fight to break out.

"Ok first off no one says malarkey anymore Big Sis." Felt's jabbed causing Emilia to pout. "Secondly maybe we could ask the warden guy, haven't heard from him in a while."

"No offense bud but he doesn't strike me as the type to give the answers to the test that easily." Al commented.

"Regardless it is still better than nothing." Fredercia agreed with the plan.

"Alright let's cast a vote all in favor of summoning the warden to raise your hand." The hands of Felt, Reinhard, Julius, Crusch, Wilhelm, Rem, Emilia, Beatrice, Frederica, Petra, Garfiel, Otto, Roswaal and Ram (because her master did) all raised at the command. The margrave's support surprised and aroused suspicion from the majority of the cast.

"Ok all who oppose." The hands of Anastasia, Felix, Ricardo (and by extension the twins), and Al were raised. Priscillia chose to keep out of the whole process, finding it pointless yet amusing at the same time.

"Guess that settles it then. Ok here goes." Felt took a breath before calling out their jailer. "Oi warden! We wanna speak with ya!"

"Screaming indoors isn't usually considered polite, child." The warden's voice was dry with a tinge of annoyance.

"We were wondering-" The thief began before being immediately cut off.

"I am aware of what you wish to ask me, and the answer is no." The bored tone echoed throughout the room.

"What, why not?!" Various voices made their displeasure at the news very clear.

"Your whining will not change my mind now you've had your time to gossip. It is time to return to your viewing." No one in the room dared challenge the authority of the warden.

"That's bullshit!" Garfirel jumped out of his seat, he was the only one to speak up at the reply.

"I care little for how you feel boy now sit down and listen-" The warden tried to order but either through stupidity or bravery Garfiel continued on.

"No you listen! You have no idea just how much the capn' has helped me, has helped us. Ever since mom's death I stupidly and pridefully labeled myself the Shield of the Sanctuary." Tears began to freefall down the boy's cheeks. "Heh but I knew...knew the real reason I did it, it was because I was afraid...afraid of the outside world that took my mom. I swore I would never lose anyone from it again." A chuckle and smile made way onto Garfiel's face. "Then the capn' came in, ha at first, I thought he was as nutty as the average witch cultist. Then he flipped my entire world upside down; the barrier was brought down, my home was being manipulated by that bastard clown, and I couldn't do a damn thing about it. Heh then he gave a good punch in the face and told me I could do sum about it...let go of my fear of the outside and do good for people other than myself." Glaring defiantly at the screen. "Natsuki Subaru was the hero I only read about in stories, so there better be a damn good explanation for all this. Because that man on screen is not Natsuki Subaru."

Not a sound was made for a few moments after Garfiel ended his tirade, not even the warden made any time to reprimand the demi-human. Naturally this caused most in the cast to think Garfiel angered him in some way, and they were all about to be punished. Nearly everyone in the theatre jumped when they heard the quiet chuckle of the warden.

"Heh you got spirit boy; I'll give you that. Very well your curiosity shall be satiated slightly." Wide eyes and open mouths were the only responses the audience could give.

"Make no mistake, the Subaru you have witnessed is in fact yours." The indifferent tone was back.

"But you said this was a different reality." Emilia frowned.

"Yes, your reality. Did you all honestly think you were the only cast out there?" The audience could practically see the raised brow on the warden. "Thanks to a certain witch the fabric of time and space is in shambles."

"I don't understand...Subaru hasn't died once during our viewings. How could we possibly be a different reality from the original?" Crusch rubbed her forehead.

"Because there is no original reality." The warden spoke as if he just told them, you needed air to live.

None of the members could even form a coherent thought at the revelation, it was impossible...Subaru may have died numerous times but just meant those were failed timelines...right?

"I can tell you are all confused so allow me to elaborate. Imagine a thread, that thread represents the original timeline . Now imagine two hands, one space and one time, these hands can twist, bend, and knot the thread as much as it pleases. The reason they can is because those same movements can undo the tangles in the thread. However, imagine a pair of scissors, this shall represent death, these scissors can cut the thread into two ending the life and timeline of Subaru. Once it has been cut the thread can longer be put back together." The warden explained the concept.

"But Subaru-kun didn't stay dead…" Rem's voice was quiet and full of confusion.

"Exactly, the Witch of Envy had done the unthinkable and attempted to put that thread back together, thus creating a new piece entirely hence a new timeline. Natsuki Subaru was meant to die to Elsa the Bowel Hunter and yet here he lies still breathing. Altering time and space is one thing, messing with time, space, and death has spawned the multiple timelines you have witnessed beforehand and the many you have not seen. Now the most minuscule decisions done by Subaru create all new timelines of their own, death no longer a factor." At the witch's name the warden sounded as angry as they've ever heard it.

"My Subaru...he was supposed to die." Emilia's voice cracked at hearing the fate chosen for her knight.

"Shit brother...even life has it out for ya." Al spoke somberly.

"Incorrect Emilia, your Subaru is right next to you still asleep, his fate now changed like all the others. The original Subaru you speak of no longer exists." The voice clarified. "The reason you have been brought here is to fix your timeline as much as possible. The Witch of Envy's little temper tantrum has upset the balance of time itself; it is part of my job to correct it."

"But why...why did our Subaru end up like this...why not a soldier, an engineer, or hell even a spy working back in his world." Julius asked desperately.

"Mm unfortunately I cannot answer that, though powerful we Wardens may be, we too must obey the rules in place." The voice was back to being bored. "Continue watching and all will be revealed in due time or don't and let this future become true."

The cast mumbled amongst themselves trying to not only digest the news about themselves but also decide how to continue forward. Felix seemed to be the only one who wanted to stop the viewing, he reasoned Subaru won't be able to change no matter what they do. The rest of the cast however, believed that there was a chance they could prevent this reality from ever existing.

"We'll keep watching." Emilia gave the answer to the voice.

"Very well. Observe and comprehend." The warden said indifferently. As the screen began to pick up where they left off the warden could only look on in pity. "Poor souls, this one may be too far gone, their fear of him has already begun to take form. Steel your hearts and narrow your eyes in determination all you want, you've yet to see what true evil is capable of."

If anyone were to enter the theatre, they'd see the entire cast with some form of conviction behind them. Whether they hold their head up higher, straighten themselves in their seats, or stare with a hardened glance at the screen. On the surface the audience might have actually appeared confident in their decision to keep watching. However, even a hermit with no social skills whatsoever could see past the paper-thin facade. They would have seen the looks of uncertainty, the tensed shoulders, and the fear...it was light like a mist but could practically be inhaled as if it were smoke. No one dared to admit it, but their hope was dwindling very quickly as the viewings continued on.

An unfamiliar dark van was seen driving down the road before stopping at the sidewalk just next to a set of houses. Two figures could be seen inside, one a man and the other a woman, they seem to be drinking from some sort of can. Muffled laughter could be heard from the girl before the camera zoomed in to reveal the identities of the strangers. The woman was shown to be Linda, the man however was unfamiliar, the most defining feature was the glasses on his face.

"That guy looks like a douche." Otto dryly commented.

"Ha can't say I disagree, Brotto." Garfiel snorted since when was his bro funny.

"Honestly you're right on the money pal he even has the douchey swooped to the side haircut." Al agreed.

"Ok so this is what we're gonna do." Linda took a sip of her drink and started giggling as she started talking.

"She seems…" Reinhard paused trying to find an appropriate phrase.

"Drunk off her ass, shit faced, completely wasted?" Felt offered.

"I would have gone with intoxicated but yes those all apply as well." The Sword Saint slightly smiled at his master's lack of filter.

"First, we go inside right, then we'll just talk a little, then Annie will distract Lindsey. Then we'll go upstairs to the first bedroom on the left. Got it?" She took another drink.

At the mention of Subaru's latest victim the cast became rigid, now knowing these two were at the Wallace residence. Just minutes ago Linda's friend was murdered in cold blood and where Subaru could still be lurking.

"Oh no…talk about terrible timing" Al muttered.

"Please not again, please don't kill again Big Bro." Felt silently begged.

"There are two of them, perhaps safety in numbers will allow them to escape should they encounter Subaru." Reinhard tried to alleviate the feeling of dread in the room.

"I admire your optimism my friend, but this one has shown to be very lacking intelligent wise. Coupled with the fact her partner and her are drunk, I don't see this ending very well." Julius shook his head and frowned.

"That guy looks strong though and we all knyaow how weak Subaru is physically. After all he's onyaly been able to murder dogs and a teenage girl." Felix was grinning in delight at the thought of seeing Subaru get overpowered like the weakling he was.

At Felix's shit eating grin Otto had to physically restrain Garf from knocking the catboy's teeth down his throat. Crusch gave her knight a disapproving stare which he had some common sense to look somewhat ashamed of himself, even if he didn't feel it. Though the rest of the audience didn't want to admit it, the catboy did have a point. Perhaps Subaru could be stopped before he caused more damage, at least that was the hope.

"Ok first I rip your clothes off." The man leaned in and tugged at Linda's clothes slightly.

"Don't rip my blouse you idiot." The girl scowled while brushing his hand away.

"Then you rip my clothes off then we rip Lindsey's clothes off. Ya i think I got it." The man finished with another drink.

"Nee-sama, this man wishes to violate a little girl." Rem scowled at the stranger.

"Rem this man is a disgusting degenerate, perving on a child." The man's first sentences already put him on Ram's list of garbage people.

"Scratch douchebag, the guy is a total creep." Garfiel said. Those with younger viewers next to them immediately pulled their charges closer and felt deep anger at the man. Frederica would have no problem tearing the man apart if he said something like that about Petra. The same thoughts echoed for Ricardo who bared his teeth and hugged the twins closer.

"Totally." She sarcastically replied.

"Ugh." The groans of Ram were back at the word.

The two began drunkishly giggling at their jokes for a minute. The man got out of the van and hurriedly skipped around the front end, playfully slapping the hood on the way. As he reached the passenger side door he opened it, causing some deer cans to fall out of the vehicle. He picked up Linda bridal style, swinging her around, as the two made their way to the darkened home. All the while giggling and laughing while they fooled around.

"Ha ha Bob put me down." Linda said through her giggling. "Put me down, this is totally silly." Bob eventually did when they reached the front door of the house. Opening it they two were greeted to a vacant home, no light nor sound was present.

"Come on, they have to realize this isn't normal. Especially if they're expecting their friend to be there" Julius pointed out.

"Pal that lady has about one brain cell that works half the time and the guy looks like he thinks with his dick not his head." Some of the guys snickered at Al's description of Bob. "Put em together and you get dumb and dumber."

"Heh can't argue with that." Felt agreed wholeheartedly.

"It's totally dark." Linda stated the obvious while still clutching a beer can.

"Ya don't say." Garfield deadpanned.

"Told ya one brain cell." Al repeated.

"Hey Annie!" Linda's voice echoed throughout the house. "Annie we're here!"

"Wonder where they went." The two made their way inside taking slow steps.

"Oh Annie probably took Lindsey out." The teen showed little care as she gave an absent reason. She walked over and turned on a lamp in the hallway while Bob shut the door behind him. Bob moved toward the living room, switching on another lamp as Linda made her way to him.

"Hey, let's look for a note." Linda suggested although her tone implied, she didn't want to.

"Let's don't." Bob slyly smiled at her before embracing and beginning to kiss the girl.

"For the dragon's sake would it kill any of them to actually use their brain for one minute." Anastasia pinched the brim of her nose in agitation.

"Tch stupid brats that's what they are." Felix agreed with the merchant.

"I can see why they bumped the age up for drinking and smoking now." Ricardo commented on the behavior.

"17 years old and yet they still act like children, how disappointing." Crusch frowned at the lack of maturity.

The kissing began getting more intense eventually leading to Linda setting her beer down and Bob pulling her down on the couch. As the two continued their make out session the camera slowly zoomed backwards until a dark shadow could be seen in the hallway. The screen then revealed the blue coveralls of Subaru, silently watching the teens from afar who were none the wiser. They were too engrossed with their foreplay to notice or hear the man walk off a few seconds later.

"Fuck that ain't good." Al shuddered at seeing The Shape again.

"Oh no...please someone stop him." While Emilia too was annoyed with Felix's observation, she hoped he was right this time.

"So he's found more victims huh." Anastasia attempted to calm her beating heart by petting her scarf.

"Tsk hope you get taken down Subaru-kun." Felix tried to mask his fear with more anger.

"I know I haven't been good to you, but I hope they stop you Subaru. This needs to end." Julius' conviction as a knight won over his desire to be friends with the boy.

The screen moved away from the couple, once Subaru left frame, and focused back on Laurie. She was carrying a jack-o-lantern with Tommy and Lindsey at her side as the two made their way out of the kitchen. An unamused expression was on the teen's face as the boy continued to make ghost-like sounds.

"Awoooooo." Tommy did his best spirit impression. "Awooooooooo, he's gonna get ya."

"No, he's not." Lindsey was not fazed slightly by the boy's antics.

"Hey nobody's getting anybody, stop scaring each other." Laurie quickly shut down the incoming scare war between the two kids. She placed the decoration on the kitchen counter before walking over to a window and looking out across the street. When she turned her sights to Lindsey's house Laurie saw Bob's van parked out in front.

"Everybody is having a good time tonight." She smiled to herself.

"At least someone is being responsible and acting their age." Crusch approved of Laurie's demeanor.

"I believe that is an oddity in this world Crusch-sama." Wilhelm proposed.

"That doesn't make any sense gramps" Felt's comment received a slight nudge from the Sword Saint.

"Actually he's spot on. Adults pretty much expect teens to get into trouble or do stupid shit all the time." Al confirmed the butler's words.

"Great a world where sensibility is rare, and stupidity runs rampant. Subaru fits right in." Felix rolled his eyes and scoffed.

"You do know if it wasn't for Natsuki-san you and your mistress would be dead right." Otto raised an eyebrow at the hypocrisy.

"Tch." The catboy could only look away, the merchant had him with that one.

"Alright you guys what's next?" Laurie turned back to ask the children.

"Let's make more popcorn." Lindsey suggested.

"Ha no you've had enough." Laurie did not want to be up all night dealing with hyperactive kids. "Why don't we watch the rest of the movie?"

"Yeah."

"Yes." The two kids agreed and the three made their way over to the couch. Laurie sat in the middle with Tommy on her left and Lindsey on her right. Both cuddled into the teen as she wrapped her arms around them. Before they could get comfortable however, the ringing forced Laurie to get up. The kids remained seated while watching the movie.

"Doyle house." Laurie answered.

"Hi Lauri, what's up." The camera switched over to the young couple from before. Their clothes all wrinkled and partially off. Linda was laying on the couch with Bob laying on her while she talked on the phone. She absent mindedly played with his hair.

"Nothing, just sitting down for the first time tonight." Laurie could be heard from the other end.

"Hey is Annie around?" Linda asked her friend.

"Shoulda asked that minutes ago pal." Al rubbed his head in exasperation.

"Knowing what she said to Laurie before leaving, I doubt any red flags will be raised." Frederica recalled Annie's last conversation with her friend.

"Great, another convenient answer that'll let Big Bro get away again." Felt crossed her arms in annoyance.

"Those two look like they'll take any answer at this point." Anastasia noticed the disheveled clothing.

"No, I thought she'd be home by now. She went to go pick up Paul." Laurie replied.

"Fuckin' called it." Felt grumbled.

"Well she's totally not here." Linda stretched out the 'totally'.

"Probably stopped off somewhere. Have her call me when she gets there, I have Lindsey here. I need to know what time to put her to bed." Laurie shrugged.

"Ok later." Linda's voice became more excited at the news.

"Ok have a good time." Laurie said.

"We definitely will." Linda quickly hung up the phone before turning her attention back to Bob.

"And there it is, called that one eh boss." Ricardo turned toward the merchant princess.

"Jeez I don't even think the guys from my highschool were this horny." Al was surprised at how sexually active these teens were.

"Lindsey is gone for the night." Linda's words caused Bob to quickly turn over and face her in excitement.

"Heh now that's wonderful." Bob quickly got up from the couch and turned off the lamp. He hurriedly followed after Linda as she made her way to the bedroom, a sly smile and a shake of her lips prompted the male teen to move faster. The screen displayed the Wallace house from the outside, lights began to disappear making the house full of darkness once more. Laurie watched the lights go out before going back and sitting with her charges once more.

"Ya those two are gonna fucking die." Al shook his head in disbelief. "I swear I'm watching a horror movie right now."

"Why would you say that, Al?" Emilia frowned, not liking the idea of seeing more people die.

"Just another horror movie trope. The people that have sex usually die." Al explained. "But that's just a movie, take what I'm saying with a grain of salt." Though the explanation soothed some of the growing anxiety, most of the cast still felt uneasy with Subaru still in the house.

The scene shifted, displaying discarded beer cans and clothes on the floor with moans coming from the nearby bed. As the camera panned toward the occupied furniture more discarded clothes could be seen hanging loosely at the end. Continuing on the camera showed Bob on top of Linda her arms wrapped around his shoulders, the sheets hid away what was happening underneath.

"Ugh doing such a thing in someone else's bed, disgusting." Crusch's opinion of the teens sunk even lower.

"Come on really." Ricardo complained at what the screen was showing, quickly covering the eyes of Mimi and Tivey. Frederica did the same for Petra and Reinhard tried with Felt but was quickly swatted away.

"I've seen and heard worse in the back alleys of the slums." Felt told her knight.

"I don't understand why they need to be naked to kiss." Emilia tilted her head curiously. Her camp all looked at her inquisitively," does she not know" They all thought.

"What?" The half-elf didn't understand why her friends were looking at her weirdly.

"She really doesn't know." They all collectively realized.

"...someone please help this girl I suppose." Beatrice's muffled voice was barely comprehensible through her hands.

The teens' love making was cut short by the sound of the ringing phone next to the bed.

"Shit not again." Annie whined.

"I can't help it. The phone keeps ringing." Bob got off of the girl and laid next to her on his back, giving an annoyed huff as he did so.

"And I can't keep you interested huh." The teen pouted.

"Just answer the damn phone." Bob complained.

"I can't, what if it's the Wallace's. We'd get Annie in trouble." Annie pulled the sheets closer to her.

"...just take it off the hook." The young man took the phone and placed it faced down on the dresser. He turned back and got back on top of Annie, resuming where they left off. Moans and the sounds of rustling covers filled the room once more. As the teens continued to have sex a dark shadow passed over their forms before disappearing.

Subaru's appearance caused the air in the room to go still, already the cast began thinking of ways he could attack.

"He might not do anything yet. There are two of them so he might wait till they split up." Crusch suggested.

"While I would normally agree with your strategic insight Karsten-sama, they are rather vulnerable at the moment. He might attack now while they're guard is down." Julius gestured to what the teens were doing on screen.

"Subaru could just be waiting my friend. The element of surprise can be used in other circumstances." Reinhard disagreed with his fellow knight.

"Typical Subaru-kun, too weak to fight face to face so you resort to hiding in the shadows." Felix muttered under his breath.

"Please stop Subaru...this isn't you, my knight." Emilia silently pleaded.

The two teens continued their moans and motions before giving one last groan and beginning to slow down. The covers were halfway off their bodies revealing both of teen's chests. Bob got off of Linda, who already began opening a new pack of cigarettes, and reached for his glasses on the nightstand. The teen girl pulled out two sticks, lighting both at the same time and giving one to Bob.

"Want a beer?" She asked as the two began taking drags from their cigs.

"Yeah." Bob plainly responded.

"Is that all you can say?" Linda turned her head to look at the man.

"Yeah." Smoke left his mouth with the answer.

"Go get me a beer." Linda jabbed her elbow into his left pec.

"I thought you were gonna get me one." He said surprised.

"Great, not only did they sleep in someone else's bed, they're now smoking and drinking in the same house they weren't allowed in." Crusch narrowed her eyes. "I think of seven different crimes they just committed."

"Such inappropriate behavior." Rem's time as maid was reflected in her words.

"While Betty's Subaru's world may be great, there are some mighty moronic people I suppose." Beatrice scoffed at the teen's behavior.

"They're not being good boys or girls at all." Emilia nodded along with the great spirit.

"Yeah." Linda sarcastically responded before giggling. Turning over the teen boy was about to get up before leaning over and whispering in her ear.

"I'll be right back. Don't get dressed." As Bob began putting on his jeans and his checkered flannel Annie leaned back against the bed's headboard. She stretched her aching muscles before sighing and taking another drag from her cigarette waiting for Bob to return.

The shadow of Bob could be seen walking down the stairs, making his way through the pitch-black house. He eventually walked into the kitchen, a soft blue glow lighting the dark room thanks to the light from outside. Searching for a few moments Bob found the fridge and opened it. He picked out two cans before closing it and making his way over to the sink. A soft creak echoed through the desolate room causing Bob to turn and stare toward the pantry area.

The sound of the creaking door may have been small, but it was enough to set the cast on high alert. Chair arms were gripped more forcefully, breaths were being held, and the sense of dread returned full force.

As Bob began making his way over to where the sound was heard, the screen revealed the backdoor to the kitchen was slightly open. Bob gave a confused stare while he walked toward the door. When he reached it, he stuck out his head to see if anyone was outside.

"Annie?" Bob called into the night. "Paul?" Bob tried again. Shrugging, the man closed the door before turning to a closet door. "Linda you asshole." He opened the door, no one was present, it was closed quickly after.

"Come on dude if you don't wanna die think for just one minute." Felt begged the man on screen.

"You should be on guard right now. She would have announced her arrival." Crusch commented.

"Hmph, such foolishness. Death is the only outcome for you." Priscillia apathetically stated.

"No...please no not again." Emilia wrapped her arms around herself to quell her shaking form.

Turning around the only other hiding spot was revealed to be the pantry across from the closet. Giving another shrug he walked over to the door and grabbing the knob Bob gave an annoyed eye roll, "Ok, come on out." As he opened the door it was not Annie, Paul, or even Linda but a man in a white mask. The Shape quickly brought his left arm to grab the teen's throat pushing him up against the wall as he did so. Bob began to struggle turning his body and head trying to escape but the man's grip was too strong. Heavy breathing was heard from the masked stranger as he continued to choke the teen while staring into his eyes.

"No! Please, Subaru stop!" Emilia's tears quickly started to trickle down her face.

"Subaru-kun stop, I beg you! You're Rem's hero!" The blue haired oni's cry was never heard.

"Natsuki-san this isn't you!" Otto couldn't process his friend's murderous desire.

The other cast members all had looks of shock and disbelief on their faces. Subaru had seen Bob for all of two minutes so why was he being killed like he was also one of the ones stalked.

"Maybe he could fight back. Subaru may have gotten the jump on him but he's still weak." Felix tried to rationalize.

The teen continued to vainly tug at his attacker's grip and began to lose to strength as his oxygen was cut off. Subaru stared at the man still desperately trying to free himself, his breathing still calm and steady. Suddenly Subaru's arm began rising and with it so did Bob. The camera showed the teen's feet at least six inches off the ground, flailing useless as the teen was suspended in the air. Bob began hitting Subaru's arm hoping it'll be enough to loosen the grip and allow him to get away. Unfortunately, The Shape gave no reaction to the attempt, instead bringing a large kitchen up in his right hand. The knife was held in a reverse grip but that mattered little to Bob whose eyes widened at the weapon. The strikes became even more frenzied, but they held no power to them, nor did they impede Subaru. The Shape stabbed the utensil into the chest of the teen, no cries of pain made as he was still being choked. Subaru did not stop, he continued to push the blade deeper, stabbing through the heart and the blade appearing out the back. Bob felt blood gush up into his throat, but he couldn't let it out with the man's hand on his neck. His flailing began slowing down as he felt his throat become clogged with the red liquid. Moments later Bob's whole body stilled his feet pointing toward the floor, Subaru pulled his hands away from the teen's neck and the knife.

The audience knew the man was going to die but they had no idea their friend would kill him with such...savagery. Annie's death was a simple neck snap that left the cast shuddering at the sounds but this. Some sounds of dry heaving and gagging could be heard at just how vicious this kill was. Thankfully the children in the audience were spared such a sight, their guardians immediately shielded them at the sight of Subaru.

"Fuck me...shit brother must have been hitting the gym." Al didn't expect Subaru to possess such strength.

"Glad that isn't directed at one of us." Anastasia shivered at the thought of Subaru coming for them.

"By the dragon...this was the man I humiliated." Julius turned to stare at the boy in disbelief. He didn't want to think about just what he'd do if he got a hold of the knight.

"Impossible...you were never that strong...you can't be, you're supposed to be weak." Felix's hope at seeing the masked man get beaten was rapidly dwindling.

The camera panned out to show the aftermath of Subaru's kill and to say it was gruesome would be an understatement. Bob's body was off the floor and pinned to the wall. The handle of the knife was partially visible, as nearly all of it was either inside of the dead man or embedded into the wall. Blood was leaking down the mouth and chest of Bob, his head hanging loosely to the side. Subaru stared at the dead body impassively. As he stared Subaru tilted his head to side in curiosity at his work, like a child would to something they don't understand.

The sight of the corpse sent another wave of nausea to coursethrough the room.

"Fuck capn'...how could you." Garfiel hiccupped tears streaming down his face.

"Natsuki-san what are you…" Otto could never recall a time where his friend was this ruthless.

Emilia and Rem alike could not properly form any comments, any attempt was met with severe stuttering and loud whimpering. Beatrice chose not to say anything, hiding in her contractor's chest and begging for the viewing to stop. Ram's fear of the sleeping boy skyrocketed at the scene; she wasn't this scared since the attack of the Witch Cult so many years ago. Frederica tried to set aside her fear at the grizzly site to comfort the tearful Petra, but she could not stop herself from shuddering at the corpse.

"This could be troublesome." Roswaal frowned deeply at the sight. It would be hard to control Subaru if he was this murderous toward the margrave.

Crusch and Wilhelm had seen death before so the act of killing itself was not new to them. However, the sheer merciless and brutality behind Bob's death had the two tensing in fright. Never would they expect good hearted Subaru to have such rage and power behind them, the possible things he could now do were frightening.

"No no no...how-how are you this strong?" Felix was practically having a panic attack at the man's handywork. "I should have killed you when I had the chance." Felix always disliked the boy, finding his demeanor annoying and his optimism laughable. However, whatever scorn and hatred the catboy had for Subaru was replaced with sheer terror. Subaru was weak, he needed other people to save him because he couldn't do anything so why...why was that same boy now effortlessly killing innocent people. The demi-human knight turned toward the sleeping boy, his eyes narrowed, "When we get out of here, I'll make sure you never see the light of day again."

Anastasia looked at the dead body for a few seconds before quickly turning away, she wanted to sleep at least somewhat. Ricardo held the twins to comfort the two demi-humans and also provide some solace himself. Julius could only look on in horror at the aftermath with wide eyes and an open mouth. Subaru was a lot of things to the Knight of Knights; a psychopathic killer was not one of them...until now.

While Felt would normally wave away most touches from her knight she gladly accepted his one armed embrace, shudders rocking her body every so often. Despite being one of the most powerful people on the planet Reinhard still felt fear grip his heart at the sight. He has never felt this way before even as he stared down dangerous enemies like the Bowel Hunter.

"Shit you ain't playing around brother." Al shook his head in shock. He would never have expected the boy to possess the will to commit such a violent act.

Priscillia remained silent throughout the whole scene, choosing to focus on reigning in her emotions and making sure no weakness was shown. Thankfully no one in the cast noticed how her hand that held her fan trembled, how she bit her lip, or how she slightly averted her eyes from Bob's dead body. She was the rightful ruler of Lugnica, the world always bent toward her will, she always came out on top. The sun princess could not explain why her heartbeat was so loud it practically drummed in her ear.

The screen lingered on the aftermath for a few moments longer before switching back to Linda, who was filling her nails in bed. Her demeanor showed she had not heard a single thing through the whole ordeal. Suddenly the door slowly creaked open to reveal a figure covered in a white sheet, looking similar to that of a ghost, with Bob's glasses sitting where the eyes would be.

The cast knowing it must be Subaru all rightfully watched the reveal with bated breaths wondering how this one would meet her demise too.

"So you've finally started to make your move." Crusch anxiously looked on.

"Leave if you stay, you'll die!" Emilia shouted at the screen hoping the teen was able to get away.

"Well did you get my beer?" Annie didn't bother looking up. The Shape continued to stand motionlessly as the girl continued to think it was Bob.

"Cute Bob, real cute." Her reply highlighted how unaware she was of who was behind the sheet.

"Come on you dumb bitch, you think he would've said sum by now!" Felt fumed at the teen's aloofness.

"Now's the time to put that braincell to use if you wanna live, pal." Al's words may have been encouraging but he himself did not believe she'd be able to escape.

"You worthless speck of human life." Priscillia growled.

"The girl seriously can't tell the difference between a merciless killer and a hormonal teenage boy?!" Julius was in awe at the lack of preservation.

As the figure continued to stare the teen took the stalking as gawking at her lack of dress. Linda sat up and with a seductive smile slowly peeled back the sheet hiding her chest.

"See anything you like?" She asked with a sly tone.

"Are ya serious?!" Anastasia couldn't believe it; this girl was trying to seduce a serial killer.

"The dragon please save this girl." Reinhard prayed, already seeing where this was headed. "Or make her dead a quick one."

"Dumbass bitch! That ain't the same guy!" Garfiel wanted to thrash the girl herself until she realized how dumb she was.

"Her fate is already sealed then…" Otto took off his hat and sent a silent prayer for the teen to find some peace in the afterlife.

"Leave her be Subaru!" Felix didn't want to see any more people die at the man's hands.

"What's the matter, can't I get your ghost Bob?" Linda tried to expel the growing awkwardness with a joke. The Shape however, continued to stand ever still, soft breathing being the only sound he would make.

"Well where's my beer?" The girl was starting to get annoyed at the lack of answers. When the figure gave no response, she gave a frustrated huff before looking incredulous at the man.

"You gonna answer me?" She tried again with still no response. "FIne don't answer me, boy are you a weirdo." Getting up the girl threw her white shirt around her shoulder and began walking over to the phone.

"I'm gonna call Laurie. I wanna know where Paul and Annie are. This is going nowhere." As she dialed the number Linda left her back completely exposed to the man, this was a fatal mistake as the figure began approaching as the girl let the phone ring.

"Turn around ya deaf bitch, he's right behind you!" Felt desperate words were never heard by the girl.

"Oh no please...please Subaru not again…" Emilia could barely handle the last kill, she didn't want to think what would happen to this one.

"Subaru-kun...p-please...stop." Rem could barely get out the three words, the brutality of Bob's death still fresh in her mind.

"No more...Betty doesn't want to see anymore." Though like a pedestrian witnessing a car crash the great spirt could not look away from the upcoming murder.

"You stupid-" Crusch took a deep breath not wanting any obscene comments to leave her mouth. Though she did think Linda was monumentally idiotic for allowing her back to be shown to a complete stranger.

The camera showed Laurie sitting on a ouch knitting something with a bored expression before the phone rang. The girl let out a sigh of relief as she got up.

"Finally." As Linda stood with her back still turned the ghost figure had eventually made his way directly behind the girl. Linda gave no indication she noticed the man approach at all or was even close to her. "Hello." When Laurie answered the phone The Shape made his move, grabbing the phone cord from both sides and wrapping it around the teen's neck. She gave a short gasp before the realization of her situation became clear. As the girl struggled to regain her air her attempted screams came out as half gasps, being mistaken for moans. "Hello." Laurie tried again before realizing it must have been her friend trying to place tricks on her. "Alright Annie first I get your famous chewing now I get your famous squealing." While the blonde teen playfully joked, Linda on the other line continued to try to break free from the man's grasp. However, the phone cord was digging tightly into her throat not only cutting off more of her air supply but also leaving a nasty bruise. Linda desperately tugged at her attacker's sheet causing it to begin falling off. "Annie are you alright?" Laurie continued to think her friend was playing some kind of trick on her. Losing strength in her legs and beginning to lose consciousness the girl slowly fell to the floor. Subaru's sheet came with her but the man still remained a firm grip on the phone cord.

While not as bloody as the previous victim, the killing still left the audience with a queasy feeling and some nausea. The kids of the cast kept their eyes off the screen until they heard the sound of struggling cease, hesitantly they looked back with the adults. Though some of the cast felt some annoyance at Laurie's insistence she was being pranked, they could not fault the girl. Based on what she knows from what her friends told her and how her friends usually act this is par for the course. It didn't stop some members of the cast from being angry at the fact Subaru just got away with three murders.

"Are you fooling around again?" Though Laurie's words showed her skepticism her voice was still full of concern. "I'll kill ya if this is a joke." Even with the threat the tone of worry only increased at the lack of a response. Leaning down, Subaru picked up the phone as Laruie continued to call for her friend. He brought the receiver to the mask's left ear and began to breathe into the device. However, unlike previous encounters the details of the mask were on full display. It was white with no eyebrows or sideburns, the hair was still brown and combed back albeit slightly disheveled. The mouth was that of two lips pressed into a thin line displaying no emotion on the face. The most striking aspect of the face though were the eyes, they were completely black, hiding the normal eyes of the man behind the mask behind a dark endless abyss.

The cast, upon seeing the face and eyes of the mask, all showed some form of terror at the expressionless face. Some members shivered uncontrollably; the breathing of others began to rapidly increase. Even the warriors of the audience could not help themselves from feeling the fear at seeing Subaru's black eyes. No, those were not the eyes of any man...they must belong to that of a demon or evil spirit, like the Boogeyman.

"The Boogeyman...he's real…" Al never believed in the urban legend but that all changed at seeing the mask of Subaru.

Emilia could barely take in the air around her, "My knight...his eyes were always kind and full of warmth...not this" The half-elf could not properly form any sentences, her fear overriding every aspect of her mind. She and Rem alike moved away from the sleeping boy, unable to stomach being near him nor could they ever look at his face normally again. Otto and Garfiel warily looked at the boy for a few moments before turning away, they too could not unsee the black eyes. This pattern followed with the rest of the cast, all trying to look at the sleeping knight before quickly turning away in terror. They could not help but imagine the same expression on the boy, staring into their soul as he took away their life. The only one unable to look at Subaru at all was Felix, who practically shut down at seeing the demonic eyes. The catboy stared like a patient in a coma unable to verbally communicate but trapped within the recess of his mind.

"Kill it...we have to kill it." Felix chanted repeatedly in his head. There was no Natsuki Subaru anymore, there was only the Boogeyman. It was a demon in human skin, a soulless creature masquerading as any other conscious life form. "I'll kill it...I swear I'll kill it." Felix Argyle swore he would destroy the false human by any means necessary. Natsuki Subaru needed to die, one way or another.

Laurie stared into the phone's receiver for a moment before placing it back on the look and going to the nearest window. Looking at the Wallace's the teen saw the lights come to life before almost immediately going dark. Giving a concerned look once more Laurie picked up the phone and dialed the number again. Rather than someone picking up the phone an almost inaudible ringing could be heard from the other house. Putting the phone down again the teen made her way upstairs, down a hallway, and to a room on the left. In it were the sleeping forms of Tommy and Lindsey, who were cuddled up next to each other.

"Sleep tight kids." Laurie whispered before softly closing the door.

The sight of the sleeping children caused many in the cast to smile, happy to see there was some peace in these viewings.

"Heh cute." Frederica smiled at the sight.

"Can't argue with that. Little runts must've tuckered themselves out." Ricardo nodded with the demi-human's comment.

"Such a good boy and girl...like you were Subaru." Emilia for a brief moment recalled the sleeping face of her knight. Rem also remembered how peaceful and soft her hero's face once was, she missed seeing it.

"Never an unpleasant sight." Wilhelm could remember similar times when his own son slept with a tranquil look.

The sight was short-lived as the camera moved back to the Natsuki's house, where Dr. Loomis stood ever vigilant. The man stood watching for any movement before turning to look down the street behind him. His eyes widened significantly at seeing a familiar brown station wagon parked a few blocks down the road. Grimacing, the doctor began jogging down the sidewalk and across the street until he reached the car. He inspected the driver's door and found a seal claiming it was the property of Smith's Grove Sanitarium.

"He's here, Subaru is here." Loomis looked around warily for the masked man before running off in a random direction.

"Come on, you just now saw it after all this time!" Felt was enraged at the doctor.

"Eh not to make excuses but the guy is kinda hell bent on catching Subaru. I doubt he did anything unless it helped him reach that goal." Al shrugged.

"That does not excuse the man's lack of action." Julius disagreed.

"Just saying pal, some people get tunnel vision and don't see what's right in front of them." Al calmly replied.

"What's in front of them hmm…" Wilhelm turned his sights to the current Sword Saint, a contemplative frown on his face. "I've been a fool."

Likewise Emilia gave a brief side eyed glance to her sleeping night, recalling all the love and support he gave to her unconditionally. "I'm such a dunderhead." The half-elf thought knowing she gave nothing but suffering back to the boy.

Back to Laurie, the girl was making her way down the stairs and through the living room, where she rummaged through her sewing kit to grab a pair of keys. Walking out the front door the teen locked it before staring at the Wallace's under the porch light. Giving the door knob a tug to ensure the safety of the kids, Laurie began walking down across the street to the house. As she walked up the steps the blonde took notice of how the entire home was devoid of nearly all light. Only a lone jack-o-lantern sitting on the porch's railing was the only source of immunization.

"No, don't go in there, you're supposed to be the smart one! Cut your losses and run!" Anastasia yelled at the screen.

"I admire your bravery for your friends, but you must leave." Crusch was impressed by the girl's altruism, but she knew such a thing could get you killed.

"Get out of there, the Boogeyman is still around!" Felix did not want to see what Subaru would do to her.

"You really are like Subaru...trying to save everyone even if it'll get you killed." Emilia looked down sadly, tears dripping down her chin. "Why...why do good people always get the worst fates?" The silver haired candidate's question would never be answered.

"Just like Rem's hero...never one to leave anyone behind." Rem prayed the girl would make it out of this alive.

Petra, Tivey, Beatrice and Mimi all preemptively hid not wanting to see another killing. The sounds alone were enough to induce nightmares. They didn't want to think what seeing the actual thing would do to them.

"Your compassion will be your death. It's a pity I thought you were stronger." Though Priscillia's voice was apathetic, the sun princess still felt some remorse for what will happen to the girl.

With her right hand in her pocket Laurie used the other to ring the doorbell of the residence. Having received no answer, the teen resorted to knocking on the door with her right hand while calling out various names. "Bob...Linda!" The girl tried but was also met with silence as the answer. Narrowing her eyes the girl walked away from the dorr and back down the steps before trying again. "Linda!" Walking around to the left side of the house she attempted once more, "Annie!" Now in the backyard the teen approached the kitchen door only to find it open. Giving the sight a suspicious gaze the girl hesitantly leaned in to call her friend, "Annie."

"Does she not see the dead body?" Rem asked, confused.

"Judging by her reaction it was likely moved and any evidence of it was cleaned up." Julius attempted to explain.

"Uh oh…" Otto mumbled not likely how many red flags couldn't be raised thanks to the evidence wiping. A thought shared among the rest of the cast, fearful of what Subaru has instored for the blonde teen.

Stepping warily inside and closing the door Laurie took a slow look around the room trying to find anyone. "Linda...Bob." More silence met the teen prompting her to carefully walk through the kitchen. The body of Bob was gone from its original post, causing no suspicion to rise from Laurie. "Alright Annie." She tried again hoping her friends would finally drop the act. Making her way to the living room the girl quickly turned the corner hoping to see her friend hiding waiting to scare her. Unfortunately, no one was waiting, and Laurie visibly deflated while walking into the room. A noise from upstairs caused the girl to sharply turn around and look up.

"Alright you meatheads joke's over."

Silence

"Come Annie enough."

Silence

"This has most definitely stopped being funny. Now cut it out!"

Silence

"You'll be sorry." The angry tone was replaced by a concerned one, her friends may like to joke with her, but they would never go this far.

"Come on, just leave." Felt whispered, tapping her foot in anticipation.

"Get outta there kid." Ricardo mumbled as he held the twins.

With no response Laurie made her way toward the stairs and began climbing them, slow and methodical as if she expected someone to jump out at her. When she reached the top of the stairs nearly all the rooms were as dark as the rest of the house. All but one, where a faint glow emulated from a door down the end of the hallway. Walking even slower than when she ascended the stairs the teen made her way to the door before uncertainty opening it. As the door creaked open the girl saw on the bed the body of Annie on the left side. Her body was completely straight with her hands folded on her chest, she looked as though she belonged in a coffin. Fittingly two headstones lied above her against the headboard, the left reading Natsuki Naoko and the right reading Natsuki Kenichi.

The cast all collectively paled at the sight while theories ran wild in their heads. All of the murder, all of the stalking to them...it was to recreate the deaths of Subaru's parents.

"Was all of this for them?" Crusch tried to understand the motivations of the man.

"Capn'...did you do all this because you miss your parents?" Garfiel asked in shock.

"Are you trying to take back what you lost Subaru?" Julius wondered.

"You've had everything taken from you Subaru-dono...all you wanted was your life back." Wilhelm solemnly said.

"You've fooled them haven't you Subaru." Felix bitterly responded not buying the improvised graves for a moment.

The sight of her dead friend caused Laurie to let out a gasp and bring her hands up to cover her mouth. Tears began to make their way down the teen's cheeks as she backed up against the bedroom closet. When her back hit the door the force caused the swinging body of Bob to come down next to her. Screaming Laurie immediately backed up to the other corner of the room. The creaking of the wardrobe door caused her to turn her head and find the body of Linda stuffed into the cramp space. With another scream Laurie bolted out of the room and hid next to an adjacent corner. As the girl cried in terror at fate of her friends a pale face emerged from the darkened room.

The sight of Subaru caused many in the cast to urge the girl to run away.

"Get out of there!"

"Run, go now!"

"If you don't wanna die, run!

"Hurry and run!"

"Oh shit! Better run there bud!"

Roswaal, Ram, and Priscillia were the only ones to not speak at the appearance of Subaru.

Pushing herself from the wall the girl began to make her way away from the house. However, before even taking three steps The Shape quickly came up behind her and slashed her left arm with a knife in his right hand. Wailing at the pain Laurie could only catch a glimpse of her attacker before she was thrown over the railing onto the stairs below. The teen landed with a crash and began grabbing her leg in pain wincing at the potentially sprained ankle, Subaru began to make his way around to the top of the stairs. The sounds of boots hitting the floorboards caused the girl to look back up at the stairs, there was Subaru watching the girl. Wasting no time Laurie picked herself up and began limp running back to the front door. Subaru slowly made his descent down the stairs.

"Yes, go you're almost there!" Emilia encouraged.

"Good you wasted no time moving, smart." Crusch nodded in approval.

"Hmm it looks like you have fight in you after all." Priscillia murmured. "But even a dying animal can still fight, let's see if you'll survive."

"Yeah, get out of there Big Sis!" Felt cheered on.

Reaching the door and trying the knob Laurie found it to be locked causing her more panic. Glancing over her shoulder she saw The Shape getting closer and decided to go back to the kitchen door. Shutting and locking the door that separated the kitchen from the hallway, Laurie made her way back to the back entrance. Trying the knob the teen realized a rake had been placed on the other side causing the door to be blocked. A loud banging sound forced the teen to notice her attacker was trying to break through to the kitchen. More slamming occurred before a fist shoved its way through the middle of the door before blindly searching for the lock. It did not take long for the hand to turn the dial unlocking the door and allowing Subaru to enter. Thankfully his arm was still caught in the door so he couldn't advance on the teen just yet. Throwing caution to the wind Laurie brought her palm through one of the glass planes and removed the blockage. Subaru also managed to free himself around the same time and started walking toward the girl. Quickly opening the door the teen limped her way out to the front of the house, all the while her pursuer followed behind.

"Yes, you did it! Now call for help!" Rem shouted at the screen.

"Come one come on, somebody has to be around." Felix desperately begged.

"Somebody help! Please!" The teen hysterically yelled into the night waiting for some kind of answer. Turning to her right Laurie made her way to the house next door barely able to climb the stairs with her limp. When she did reach the door, the blonde distressingly pounded on the door while calling for help. The porch light came and for a moment hope sparked in Laurie's chest. A woman was seen at the window looking at the young woman, and the teen began shouting for help. "Please! Help me!" The hope was short lived as the light was turned off and the woman walked away from the window. "Wait no! Please help me!" The teen called but the light did not shine again, no one was coming to help her.

"You fucking bastard!" Garfiel roared.

"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Felt screamed, she was clearly bleeding so why didn't Laurie get any help.

"Selfish fucking pricks!" Felix growled at the apathy.

"Why would you do that!?" Emilia shouted enraged.

"Tch what a disgusting person you are, I suppose." Beatrice had resumed watching after hearing the girl was making an escape.

"Are you serious!?" Ricardo was baffled at the display.

"Some things never change." Al despondily added sighing as he shook his head.

Crying in pain from the burning in her arm and leg, Laurie made her way across the street back to the Doyle's house. "The keys!" Laurie searched her pockets frantically trying to grab them to unlock the door. However, that idea was abandoned when she looked back to the Wallace house and saw The Shape approaching at a steady pace. Slamming on the door Laurie tried for the boy inside, "Tommy! Tommy it's me!" As the figure grew ever closer Laurie looked down and spotted a potted plant. Grabbing it she found the decoration up by the window where the boy was sleeping. The sound seemingly worked as the bedroom light turned on

"Nice work, now come on kid." Ricardo's commentary caused the twins to look up at the screen, they were delighted to see the young woman still alive.

"Very resourceful." Anastasia was impressed with the girl's quick thinking.

"Come on, you're almost there!" Petra too had come out from hiding.

Subaru began to cross the street, still walking as if he was not concerned his prey would escape. "Mm who is it?" The boy tiredly called out the window. "Tommy, it's me open up!" Laurie screamed in fright, but the tone was not heard by the boy, "Mmkay." While Tommy made his way to unlock the door Laurie slammed even harder on the door, The Shape growing ever closer. "Tommy! Hurry up!" Rubbing his eyes of sleep the boy unlocked the door and twisted the knob. At the slightest crack Laurie pushed herself inside before turning and locking the door behind her. "Tommy, go upstairs now!" Now fully awake the boy gave his babysitter a startled look.

"What is it, Laurie?" The boy asked.

"I want you to go upstairs, get Lindsey, go into the bedroom, and lock the door!" Laurie spoke quickly.

"I'm scared…" He gave a meek reply.

"Do as I say!" She ordered once more.

"But the Boogeyman-"

"Now!" With that the boy ran upstairs while Laurie raced over to the phone. The lights went out shortly after and with it so did the phone line.

"Damn, brother must've cut the power." Al whistled.

"What's that mean?" Felt turned toward the knight.

"Means no lights for the majority of the house and she can't call for help." The helmed man explained.

"Tsk bastard." Felix muttered under his breath; how could a monster be this smart?

Throwing the phone on the receiver Laurie made her way around to the couch. She looked around frantically before taking cover next to the furniture. Glancing down she grabbed a sewing needle in her right-handed all while whimpering in terror. "Please stop…please." The teen heard the sound of breathing coming from behind and briefly saw a shadow raise its right hand with a knife. Seeing The Shape bring down his weapon Laurie quickly moved to the side narrowly avoiding another deadly slash. Not wasting any time, the girl turned around and stabbed the needle into the left side of Subaru's neck, causing a hole to appear in the mask. The Shape made no sound with the attack, instead releasing his knife and bringing both hands to grasp at the needle in his neck. He backed up against the wall before pulling it out of his throat, Subaru fell to the ground a moment later. His breathing faded to nothing once he hit the floor.

The cast believed that was the end of their friend and while many were sad to see him die, they knew it was justified. Most chose to not comment on Subaru's death rather they maintained a solemn silence. Though some members of the audience had a few words to share.

"Huh guess that's it…sorry brother but there was no other way." Al still pitied his other worldly companion; his life had been nothing but pain and suffering.

"Serves you right you bastard…rot in hell." Felix smiled with sick satisfaction at the death of the boy. "You deserved worse."

"Though I am sorry for what led you down this path, I cannot condone what you have done." Crusch sympathized with the boy's plight, but law and order came before any feeling she had.

"How interesting." Priscillia was impressed with the girl. She managed to arm herself, correctly predict her opponent's moves, and punish it. "You might just be worth something after all."

"I'm so sorry Subaru…" Emilia felt her tears return full force at the final death of her knight. "It's finally over though, your suffering is over now."

Laurie's breathing slowed down at her success at killing her attacker, the adrenaline wearing off and the pain returning. She struggled to pull herself over to the couch to peek at her attacker. Knife in hand the girl made sure the man was dead, his still body and lack of breathing confirming she had killed him, a bloody needle right next to him. Laying down on the couch the teen took a moment to compose herself before throwing the knife to the floor.

"Very smart, making sure your kill is dead." Priscillia's approval of the girl was rapidly growing.

The scene moved back to Dr. Loomis who was wandering a few blocks down from where Laurie was. As he continued to vigilantly search for his patient a cruiser appeared beside him, in it was sheriff Brackett.

"Where were you, I went to the Natsuki's house-" The sheriff had a rant planned but that was cut off with Loomis' exclamation.

"I found the car! He's here!" Loomis said.

"Where!?" The sheriff questioned.

"He's three blocks down, you go around the back of the houses I'll watch the front." When the sheriff made no immediate move the doctor ushered him, "Go on!" With that the cruiser drove off while Loomis continued to walk along the sidewalk.

"Little late your guy is already dead." Ricardo commented.

"Bet he's gonna be happy about that." Felt added.

"Ya your problem is gone." Garfiel said with some sadness.

"Then why do I have this feeling it's not over." Roswaal mused to himself.

The scene changed to show Laurie slowly climbing the steps and making her way down the hallway, having to use the railing as support. When she reached the last door, the girl gave a slight knock to alert the kids. "Tommy…Lindsey" At hearing their babysitter the door opened to the terrified faces of the boy and girl. "My babies…" The teen engulfed the two in a hug and held them for a few minutes before bringing their eyes to hers.

"We're gonna take a little walk." She rubbed the heads of the kids trying to calm them and herself down.

"What about the Boogeyman?" Tommy quietly asked.

"I'm scared…" Lindsey added with a quiver in her voice.

"There's nothing to be scared of." Laurie reassured.

"Are you sure?" Tommy asked skeptically.

The camera turned to face Laurie directly after the question. The teen nor the kids saw a shadow climb up the stairs nor the sound of boots hitting the floor.

"No..no no no no that's impossible!" Felix and the other demi-humans alike plus Reinhard with their keen senses were able to pick up the background movement.

"What's wrong Felix?" Crusch worriedly looked at her knight.

"You ok Red?" Felt also looked at her servant with concern at his stiffness.

"Lady Emilia, are you ok.?" Otto looked back at his mistress.

"I killed him." Laurie confidently answered.

"You can't kill the Boogeyman." With that Tommy and Lindsey finally noticed the man standing behind him and began screaming. Turning around in shock Laurie couldn't believe the man she just stabbed was still standing. "Get in there! Come on Tommy! Lock the door!" Laurie grabbed the children and pushed them back inside their safe room, making sure the door was firmly shut and made her way into the bedroom across the hall. The Shape stood for a few moments before walking down the hallway, Laurie looked all around the bedroom to try to find a hiding spot. The balcony was considered but was quickly dismissed in favor of the closet in the corner of the room Throwing open the door Laurie made her way inside before shutting the door, locking it, and backing as far as she could into the end.

"Shit brother must've missed something vital." Al was astounded by how Subaru managed to live.

"Of course you'd still be alive…" Felix growled with hatred.

"Less has killed you…so how do you live Barasu?" Ram thought seeing the lack of a response to the hole now in his neck.

"I knew you could take a beating but this…" Julius was amazed by the boy's durability.

Making his way down the hall, knife in hand, Subaru turned left into the room Laurie entered. As she hid Laurie saw the shadow of The Shape pass by her hiding place, she put a hand over her mouth to muffle the whimpers. However, it wasn't enough as the door to the closest began shaking as Subaru tried to open it. Now trapped with a killer blocking her only exit Laurie started to cry in fear. The shaking became more violent before stopping for a moment until a fist broke through the sliding door sending cheap plastic over the interior of the closet. Wildly swinging his hand around Subaru managed to turn on the closet light allowing him to find the teen's hiding spot. The Shape began breaking more chunks of the door causing Laurie to look around for a weapon. She spotted a metal clothes hanger, reaching up and grabbing it she brought it to her and started straightening out the bend. Seeing the girl Subaru tried reaching her with his knife once more but was too short allowing Laurie to drive the hanger into his left eye. The sudden pain caused Subaru to drop the knife and Laurie immediately seized the opportunity to grab it. Seeing the man still recover from the eye wound Laurie shoved the knife deep within his stomach before pulling it out. This was enough to send Subaru back down to the ground motionless.

"...is it over?" Mimi meekly asked.

"Think so." Anastasia mumbled.

"It has to be, Subaru has been killed from far less." Crusch noted.

"Let's hope he stays down for good this time." Frederica said.

"Stay dead Natsuki Subaru…the world never wanted you in the first place." Felix thought with spite.

Laurie kept the knife pointed at the now broken closet door in case her attacker decided he wanted to try again. When nothing appeared for a few moments, the teen slowly peeked over to check the dead body once more. Seeing no signs of life and massive amounts of blood coming from his abdomen Laurie opened the closet door. Walking around the body with the knife still raised the teen waited for any signs of the Boogeyman coming back. No signs of any movement were shown causing Laurie to drop the knife with shaky hands. She made her way out of the room and across the hall where she knocked on the door once more.

"Tommy unlocked the door." She tiredly ordered. The door swung open, and the two kids were pulled to the teen.

"Listen to me, when you go down the stairs and out the front door, I want you to go to Mackenzie's house. I want you to tell them to call the police and tell them to send them over here." Laurie gave the children her plan.

"But-" The boy tried to argue but was swiftly cut off.

"Do as I say." She gently pushed the two down the hall where they quickly began to descend the stairs.

"Mm you lead just like Subaru too…" Emilia sadly noticed. "But you actually kept your promise…"

"Just like Betty's stupid contractor you refuse to help yourself even when you need it." Beatrice huffed.

"You are a brave woman, Laurie Strode…you have my respect." Wilhelm bowed his head to the screen.

"Getting the kiddies out first you're good in my book girlie." Ricardo nodded in approval, a sentiment Fredrica agreed with.

"You certainly don't give up, do you…" Al muttered.

"Of course she wouldn't. Big Sis is a badass." Felt smiled thankful it was finally over.

"I wasn't talking about her squirt…" Al corrected.

Laurie leaned against the doorframe trying to cope with the pain in her arm and leg with the adrenaline now gone again. The girl didn't notice the blurry shape bring his top half up despite being stabbed in the stomach and turn to look at her.

"What…" Felt started.

"The…" Julius continued.

"Fuck!" Felix finished with a frightful shout.

How?!...It made no sense; Subaru shouldn't even be alive right now let alone able to lift himself up. The cast could only watch with sharp intakes of air as Subaru seemingly rose from the dead undeterred and unrelenting.

"You really are the Boogeyman…" Roswaal had no accent when he spoke.

Tommy and Lindsey ran from the house screaming in terror as they made their way down the street. Loomis saw the two and began making his way over to the home, thinking Subaru must be close by with such reactions. As Laurie rose to her feet so silently did The Shape, walking toward the unaware teen. Laurie too slowly made her way into the hallway but was suddenly stopped as Subaru turned her around and began choking her. Jerking in multiple directions the girl tried to free herself from the iron grip but with no success. While the attack happened Loomis had made his way up the stairs and saw the interaction, he reached into his coat pocket to retrieve his revolver. In one last desperate act Laurie pulled the mask up and off Subaru's face. This worked with surprise as he quickly threw the girl to the ground and took back his mask. The light shone on his face for a brief moment, but it was more than enough to see the face behind the mask. Subaru's hair was still the same swept back with its black color and his complexion was noticeably paler. His left eye was closed with blood streaming down it but his right one held a blankness to it, despite his eye shape still being the same permanent glare. His nose and mouth were also the same, but his mouth was pressed into a thin line like his mask. If one were to restore Subaru's left eye, they'd see the same face of the sleeping boy in the theater but with eyes that no longer held any emotion.

The sight of Subaru's face left many speechless at how closely he resembled the same one sleeping in the room. Some expected him to have some sort of deformity to explain why he kept on the mask. Others thought he would have a crazed almost primal look in his eyes like that of a wild animal. None of the members expected to see the same face that adorned their friend and hero.

"S-Subaru…it really is you" Emilia shakily called out.

"Subaru-kun.." Rem was rendered an incomprehensible mess at the sight of her hero.

"...you really are Betty's Subaru I suppose." The great spirit cried, the full weight of the warden's words crashing down her now.

"Capn'...you weren't supposed to be with way." Garfiel gaped like a wish out of water.

"Natsuki-san…" Otto couldn't believe it. The same boy who was his best friend was also a cold-blooded killer.

Petra stared for a moment before breaking down crying hugging Fredrica, the maid rubbed circles in the young girl's back to soothe her.

"Subaru-dono…your eyes have lost all life to them." Wilhelm lowered his head.

"So you were always this way huh…guess I was right about you, you're nothing but a monster Natsuki Subaru." Felix may have tried to sound angry but the tremor in his voice showed otherwise.

"So this is what awaits you Subaru." Roswaal frowned, this must be rectified immediately.

"Barasu, did you always possess such an urge to kill?" Ram shuddered at the thought.

"I can't…how can this be?" Julius tried to wrap his head around how The Shape shared a face with their current Subaru.

"Big Bro…what happened to you?" Felt needed to know what led the boy down this path when months ago he was battling with them at their side.

"I couldn't save you…could I Subaru, my only friend." Reinhard desperately wanted nothing more than to do one thing right in his life.

"Should've seen that coming…guys like us tend to hide behind some kind of mask eh brother." Al dryly chuckled. "Never would have thought I'd see that look in your eyes ever."

Now that Laurie was out of the way Loomis raised his gun as Subaru slipped the mask back over his head. A loud bang echoed throughout the theatre as the doctor fired at his patient. The force knocked him back into the bedroom where Loomis quickly made his way too, leaning against the doorframe the doctor saw The Shape standing there as if he wasn't just shot. Raising the gun again five more shots rang out in succession each one knocking Subaru back until he fell over the balcony. His body hit the ground with a sickening crack where he remained motionless.

"Was that the Boogeyman?" Laurie had brought her hand away from her ears once the doctor used all his bullets.

"As a matter of fact it was." The doctor began making his way over to the balcony to check for the body. Looking down with a grim expression, the camera revealed Subaru's body had vanished from its spot. The ominous music from the opening began playing while the screen displayed the recent locations Subaru was just at. The final one however, was that of the Natsuki's house where Subaru's breathing could be heard before the screen cut to black.

"This viewing is over." The warden's voice made the cast jump in shock. "Mingle amongst yourselves while I begin to load the next one."

"There's more!?" Felix yelled.

"Indeed and that is all you will be getting from me." The tone held no room for argument, great speech, or no. "But first." Subaru had faded from his spot causing those closest to him to panic.

"Where is Betty's Subaru?!" Beatrice yelled.

"My knight, what did you do with my knight!?" Emilia was also panicking at the disappearance of her knight.

"Calm yourselves I merely transferred him to a room of his own." The warden explained in a bored tone. "His presence would have distracted you in the next upcoming viewings, plus I need you all to converse with one another. Now discuss while I work."

Though the screen wanted them to have a conversation most of the cast couldn't properly put into words how they felt. This was supposedly the future that awaited their Subaru…how could they even form a coherent thought after what they watched.

"I believe we should review what we have so we could try piecing together the story." Crusch tried to get the room working together again

"We know he's a psychopathic killer." Al offered up humorlessly.

"Charming but we need to know how he got this way." Crusch narrowed her eyes at the helmed man.

"Whatever happened to him I feel like it has to do with the date we talked about earlier." Anastasia added. "Clearly this night is some kind of trigger for him so it must be important."

"But now we're back to square one because we don't know what that event is." Wilhelm noted.

"...clown you've been offly quiet this viewing." Priscillia's observation turned many heads to the margrave.

"Mayyyyyyybe I don't have much to say Barielle-sama." Roswaal smiled.

"Bullshit you're scheming, and we all know it." Garfiel growled.

"Garf I ask that you use a respectful tone when-" Ram chided the boy before being cut off.

"Fuck your respect, you know something don't you!" It wasn't Garfiel that stopped Ram but surprisingly Otto.

"Perhaaaaaps." The clown drawled.

"Roswaal, as your master I command you to tell me now." Emilia spoke with a cold tone.

"My my as you wish Emilia-sama. Deaaaar Beatrice-sama how old is Subaru?" The Margrave questioned.

"Betty doesn't understand why this matters but he is 18 I suppose." The loli huffed.

"And whennnnnn was his birthday?" Roswaal's smile was teasing.

"Almost two months ago…why?" Beatrice narrowed her eyes.

"It's quite simple reeeeeeeeally. In the next few months Subaru will be taken from our world and put back into his." He finished with a smile.

"I call bullshit!" Felt shouted.

"He is not lying so far…explain clown." Crusch looked at the man with a critical gaze.

"The deeeeeeear doctor himself said he met Subaru when he was 18 and our Subaru just recently turned that age. As the warden said this isssssss our reality so it's only natural Suuuuubaru will be sent home within a few months' time." The Margrave finished.

"But what about the date, surely you must know something." Julius tried.

The clown only gave a shrug.

"He's not lying." Reinhard sighed.

"Still back at the beginning huh, eh guess we should keep watching it might show more stuff." Al suggested nonchalantly.

"Doesn't this bother?" Ricardo asked, surprised at the knight's attitude.

"Oh fuck ya. I just watched who is basically the nicest guy in the room commit four murders in cold blood. All while wearing a creepy ass mask and being shot and stabbed multiple times and somehow still living." Al said as if it were the easiest thing in the world. "I'm absolutely fucking terrified of this Subaru and you'd all be lying if you said you weren't too. I can see it in all your eyes…you're all deathly afraid of him now. You try to mask it up with false anger, paper thin confidence, and a mask of indifference heh, but I can see it. How your shoulders tense up at the sight of him, how you hold your breath when you see him move…how you can't even look at the other Subaru because all you see is the one on screen. We're all scared of him, and we should be…no human can survive that fall, that many bullets, or even that gut stab and yet Subaru did. I don't know what causes Subaru to do what he did tonight and if I'm being honest, I don't want too either. I don't want to see what actions could change a good-hearted man into the urban legend we saw on screen. Those eyes…they really were the eyes of evil." Al's demeanor shifted drastically during his speech, the laid-back knight now shaking in terror as he recounted the viewing.

The cast could not necessarily disagree with Al even if some were too prideful to admit that they were scared. The knight did make a good point about how the audience couldn't stop comparing their current Subaru to the one on screen. They didn't even do it consciously; their minds just automatically displayed the black eyes and the pale mask whenever they dared a look at the sleeping boy. But what did that say about their ability to help prevent this future from taking place?

"The next viewing shall commence, be prepared." The warden returned before anyone could dwell on the thought. Probably for the best as some began to doubt, they even could help Subaru after what they saw on screen. The cast returned their focus back on screen as it began to play once more.

"You may have seen the Boogeyman tonight but that was not the worst of it. Now you shall witness Evil Incarnate…I pray you all do not succumb to your fear." The warden thought before leaving once more.

Ahhh the sweet release of finally finishing the chapter. I hope you all enjoyed my first ever fanfic, it was a lot of fun to me. And yes, I will be working on the 2018 movie as soon as possible. Trust me I'm more excited than anyone else to finally get to this one, it's my #1 favorite Halloween movie. I want to thank you all for the reviews, favorites, follows, and messages. I enjoyed reading everyone's theories and their own takes on how the story could play out. Before I let ya go I wanna explain what exactly the warden was saying in case anyone got too caught up in my analogy.

So basically the original Subaru was fated to die by Elsa on his first day in Lugnica but thanks to the interference of The Witch of Envy this has created a new multiverse. I took the idea of Marvel's absolute point in time and gave it my own unique spin. Rather than just changing the outcome of one point itself, the combination of space, time, and death all being reverted messes with the flow of the universe. Here the original timeline will be erased as will all original characters and any basic decision, thoughts, or words from Subaru will spawn an entirely different timeline. I used Re:Modern Warfare, Re:Dead Space, and Re:Mission Impossible to show how those timelines exist as well along with this one. Theoretically all the fics on here could exist, WDHAAA or no, so it's up to you which ones you can consider canon in my universe. I wanted to give the cast some kind of answer as to why they view this Subaru of all of them and now it's up to them to discover the specifics of how it happened. Also I kind of retconned the purpose of the Wardens to fit with the narrative of they're god like beings that have to try to fix what The Witch of Envy caused.

Let me know what you think of my little explanation, I'm sure there are a lot of holes that can be poked through it so if you have other or ways to improve it I'd love to hear them. That should about do it, I'll see you all in Re:Halloween 2018, thank you for all the support you guys are awesome.

See ya in the next one :)
