(A/N): This is a Sam and Michael drabble, set sometime between s8 and s24, based on the line from 3x03: "You can put that lipstick back on now."
Lipstick
Sam smirked into the dressing table mirror, the small tube of lipstick halfway up to her upturned lips as she felt eyes on her, meeting the gaze of her husband. "Watching me again, are you?"
"Might be." Michael shrugged, squatting down to sit on the end of the bed, behind and a little to the left of Sam. "Then again, I might just like watching you get all dressed up for me."
Sam's smile widened even as she shook her head at his reflection. "You've had a thing about me and lipstick since almost the first time we met." She brandished the tube in her hand to illustrate her point.
"Not quite." He leant back slightly, an elbow propping him upright still so he could still see her face in the reflection. "Maybe I just like being able to kiss it off you."
"Hmm. Ten years married and you still think lines like that will work?" Sam rolled her eyes good-naturedly at him, capping the lipstick and setting it down as he heaved himself off the bed and made his way over to her. Michael tipped her head gently by her chin to look up at him, leaning over to press his lips to her own, still feeling like the first time even after so many years. Exciting, wonderful, passionate. Everything.
He pulled away after a few moments, managing his own smirk despite his breathlessness. "It's not a line if you mean it. You can put that lipstick back on now."
"Why should I, if you're just going to keep kissing it off me?"
"Exactly."
