Another day, after deciding that she'd be supporting her partner this time, another crime scene for the former Detective Decker (who just happens to be there). Said partner is now God (Lucifer immediately ascended the throne right after the war - where only celestial and a handful of humans are aware of ) and that God is bored out of his head.

"So, this is..." Ella starts but gets interrupted.

"Matthew Parker, yes."

"How'd you..."

"I got all the omnis, Miss Lopez." He explains, nonchalant, earning himself a glare from Chloe. The case isn't at all interesting for him. Because he knows who did it, he knows why that person did it, and he's disappointed at the fact that the victim died for something so impertinent...so mundane. He still wonders why humans do such horrible things to each other.

"Uh - what ?"

Lucifer sighs. Chloe is definitely not pleased with him, but the constant buzzing in his head makes him want to care a little less, even though he values her opinions more than she will ever know.

"My apologies. I've literally tons of stuff in my head that I can't seem to purge. In Hell, I used to just flick my finger and all the demons would stand to attention. But here... wait a minute."

"Lucifer?"

"I'm sorry, Chloe. I really need to get a hold of these omnis, otherwise," He gestures an exploding motion with both hands. Chloe shakes her head and furrows her brows so he clarifies, "My head might explode is what I meant. Anyhow, you're looking for Peter Chavez. Most definitely the killer. As for why he did it..."

He pauses, and Chloe almost rolls her eyes. "That's for the active Detectives to find out. But they wouldn't mind if you lend a hand. That should keep you occupied whilst I deal with my headache."

Lucifer isn't pleased with himself at the moment with the way he dismissed his future Mrs. G, but the throbbing is making him irritable and because it's the wrong head.

Chloe meanwhile has something on her mind as well, but before she could voice them out, the person it's intended for is gone.

The ascension rites were a blur to him, honestly. After cleaning up for a bit and making sure Chloe was alright, he went to the Silver City right away to start with the new job.

He'll be taking Chloe up in a few weeks so that she can help with whatever needs her help. Lucifer actually has no idea what would be required of her upstairs, but he's pretty sure he'll find something for her to do. (Other than him, that is.)

During the rites, Luci-God decided he would set up shop on Earth because he wanted to be a boots-on-the-ground kind of God, unlike his father, who lost touch with humanity.

So here he is, back at the penthouse for the time being.

Lucifer plops down on his Italian couch, pinching the bridge of his nose to try to relieve the pain. He sighs loudly as he hears the flapping of wings and knows exactly who it is. It's annoying and somewhat comforting to have that foresight.

"What do you want, Zadkiel?"

"I've done as you asked. Deposited Michael back to the Silver City and gave him mundane tasks. What shall I do next?"

"Ugh. Just carry on with what you normally do. Nothing has changed except the head honcho, which is yours truly. You tell the other angels as well."

"As you command."

He almost rolled his eyes at that one but stopped himself.

Chloe has finished providing her insights to the newly transferred Detective Corbett and heads back to the penthouse.

When she gets there, she sees Lucifer resting his head on the couch, sleeping. She has a few questions like how does time run in Heaven and all that, and how to tell Trixie.

Although she supposes it can wait in the morning. Then again, his omniscience doesn't let up.

"Time runs slower in Heaven, Chloe. If you're gone for the day, it would only be a few hours on Earth so you wouldn't miss much,"

"Oh. So when are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow, bright and early. I have just the job for you up there."

"Would you have time to bring me back and forth,"

"I could always ask other trusted angels if I couldn't. But I will always make time for you. I know you have the urchin tonight — no, it's not what you think, you told me she's coming back from Dan's parents — so you best head home."

"Okay. I love you,"

"I love you."

Once Chloe leaves, a swirl of blue light surrounds his penthouse, and a young woman appears. She takes her bladed wings out and points them at Lucifer's throat, but he doesn't flinch at all. He snaps his fingers, and the young woman's wings lower themselves and sheaths on their own.

"How did you…?"

"Didn't your mother tell you I'm God?" He tells her matter-of-factly. Omniscience rearing its head once again, "Oh, I see," He continues as future information floods him. "Well, we're going to change that because there's no way in Hell I'm letting you grow up without me. Do you want me to send you back or do you want to see how this goes?"

Rory is stunned. Her mother didn't mention Lucifer being God. She just said that he disappeared at 10th and Swanson on August 4th.

"Well, I suppose you could learn a thing or two because clearly, you're having doubts about my love for your mother."

He later finds out that that was the cause of his headache. A person who doesn't belong in the present timeline.

A few months later and they welcomed Aurora Morningstar, and Lucifer was there to see it. See her grow up and be the same young woman who traveled back in time before. She's headstrong and fierce and a little mischievous, but she is well-loved.

She still goes through that teenage phase where she hates everything, but she has her father with her. All is well.

When Chloe passes on some decades later — living a full life with her two girls and her eternal love — she sits on the throne right next to his and spends eternity in Heaven.
