The young woman wipes off the tears from her face as she lands back in her own time. A part of her wishes she hadn't done it, but it was the only choice she had. She dreads going back to him, hates it even, but there's no way around it.
She composes herself and opens the door, and faces her father.
"I've done as you asked, now can you release my mother's soul?"
"I already did," He pauses and continues "...into the abyss that is. No heaven or Hell, just gone."
Rori frowns. This wasn't the deal.
"What the fuck did you do?"
"Used Azrael's blade of course. That's what that bitch gets for hiding you from me."
Her eyes start to water, and anger rises within her at how indifferent he is towards the agony she's feeling over losing her mother's soul. But perhaps that's what he's aiming for. So she lunges at him, even though she knows she's no match for him.
"You asshole!"
Michael gets a hold of Roriel's neck; his hand wound so tight he could snap it like a twig at any second. Curse that human side of her that she had to have to this vulnerability.
"I said I'd set her free and I did."
"I wish I didn't help you. But I'm sure the real Aurora Morningstar will find a way to restore everything that you've had me ruined."
"No she won't."
"She will. You're not the only one with a backup plan, you sick fuck. I hate you. I wish Lucifer was my dad because he's far more worthy than you ever will."
"Shut up!"
He squeezes and squeezes until something cracks and her eyes roll back. Michael releases his hold and stares at Roriel wide eye. His hands are trembling. He didn't mean to snuff the life out of her, but she wouldn't quit her yapping. But, then, the trembling stops and he finds himself too far gone to care.
Aurora travels through time after receiving a handwritten note from her estranged cousin (who has the same nickname as hers) about what Michael did to ruin her family. She's been practicing ever since her first jump landed her in the dark ages, and she never wants that to happen again. She appears in the penthouse, where she finds her mother mourning Lucifer's absence.
"Mom,"
Chloe looks up upon the endearment but frowns when she doesn't see a familiar face.
"Sorry, who are you?"
"I'm Rory, your daughter."
"No, you can't be. I've met Rory and — "
"No, Mom. That was my cousin Roriel, Michael's daughter. She stole my identity to change the future. I know this is confusing but we need to get Dad back."
"Wait, wait. Michael's in Hell. How — "
"I don't know, maybe somehow, Roriel got the present Michael out of Hell for a time and had him copulate or something. Ew."
"So, Lucifer didn't have to leave?"
"Absolutely. It makes no sense. He can just fly back and forth and help those he can. There are far too many souls sending themselves into Hell so even if he stays there for like, forever, those souls won't ascend any faster."
"She made him promise."
"I know, but she isn't me. I won't do that to you guys. You've come so far and deserved so much better. You have to believe me, Mom."
"I can't go with you to Hell. Azrael's blade is no longer on Earth so Amenadiel's necklace has been deactivated."
"Then I guess I have to go alone."
"No. We have to assume that present Michael knows. You have to take Amenadiel with you."
"Sounds like a plan."
After a quick visit to Hell and informing Lucifer, he exiles Michael into a room and as the years in Hell pass on, future Michael's memory catches up with the present, and he's trapped himself in his own guilt, regretting what he did to his own daughter.
Lucifer watches on the sidelines and wonders if his twin is even worthy of any help after what he tried to do, of what the latter did to the future young woman who pretended to be their daughter.
Then again, no one is beyond help, Lucifer thinks. But Michael is going to take a while. At least this way, Michael's daughter would be safe.
"Well, now that's fixed, I have to go back to my own time," The real Aurora Morningstar says, glad that she's able to rectify the mess her cousin made due to Michael's manipulation.
"I still feel sorry for her, Roriel I mean. And why did my twin name her that? Ugh."
"Well, she's out there somewhere safe with her mom. If you manage to find her, don't let her stray. Her Dad is dick but she's still my cousin."
"You're right."
"Anyway, I have got to go. See you soon, Mom and Dad."
