With that, the onboard operators put Keel through to the Pilots.
"Premierminister Keel?"
"Ja, Asuka. I wanted to say to the three of you that I'll be keeping an eye on you all, I'll be keeping you in my prayers that you return victorious and safe."
"Ja!"
"Will do!"
"On it!"
"Ma'am the MAGI and Commander Ikari have given their approval." Said Makoto, who was strapped in at a mobile command station.
"Alright, On my mark…"

"Evangelion Units, Deploy!"
And with Misato's order, the 40-ton behemoths were released from their clamps and dropped from the sky at a rapid pace. Their umbilical cords could only go so far, before being detached.
Shinji felt the Gees from the freefall and clenched tightly. Somehow this felt worse than the catapult for the Evangelions. His lunch slowly made its way up as he reached terminal velocity.
"Contact in 30!"
Said an operator over TacNet. Shinji was about to face off against an Angel underwater with limited mobility. Type C Gear had small propulsion units near the joints to allow it to move easier, along with some for swimming.
"Contact!"
And with that, Shinji and the other two units splashed down into the ocean already running on internal power.
"The 6th angel has been marked on your internal maps and your Impact Spearguns should be dropping down now."
"Roger!"
The onboard passive sonar systems turned on, making it slightly better to see in the deep blue ocean. Ever since Second Impact parts of Hawaii are completely gone, now the main island was all that remained.
To his left, he saw a speargun being lowered by a winch, which he quickly grabbed and loaded.
"Rei, Asuka, are you guys ready?"
"Yeah, I'm just trying to get used to this, Unit 0 wasn't meant for underwater…"
"Even though Unit 2 was tested underwater it feels odd."
Shinji resisted the urge to hold his breath despite being submerged in LCL himself.
"Same, But we have a job to do. You two flank it and I'll try and charge it-"
"Can I charge it? Unit 02 has better mobility around the arms."
Asuka said over the TacNet radio.
"Sure, Just make sure to aim directly."
"Roger!"
"Angel incoming!"
The 6th angel began its attack by rushing towards Unit 02 but was quickly flanked by 00 and 01.
It let out a mighty roar underwater, overwhelming the sonar systems on the Evangelions.
"Ack! That hurts!" Asuka yelled trying to get her bearings back on track.
The 6th thrashed around while the two other Evangelions tried to restrain it.
"Deploying Impact Spearguns!" Shinji yelled over the radio, while he pumped the speargun back into the ready position.
He then fired, causing Rei to do so as well, rocking the angel back as the spearguns blew a chunk out of the tail fin.
As the angel roared in pain. Asuka saw this as the perfect time to strike.
She aimed for the core in the center of the angel's throat.
"Steady now…"
CLICK!
With the pull of the trigger, the Impact Spear flew through the water and drove itself into the jaws of the Angel, blowing a chunk out of the jaw and core.
Pain erupted through the angel as its body began to lose some energy. It attempted to thrash around to break free and regenerate part of the core.
Asuka tried to keep the angel under control but struggled as the angel began to violently spasm about.
"Misato, something is happening with the angel!"
Asuka yelled before getting knocked back by its fins.
It soon began to slowly regenerate parts of the tail and jaw.
"Oh no, you don't!"
Asuka swam over to the mouth of the angel and did her best to yank it open.
"Shinji, I need some help over here!"
"Roger!"
Unit 01 swam over to assist Unit 02 in opening the angel's jaw.
With both their might, they slowly managed to open the jaw, allowing Asuka to open her pylon and fire the tungsten spikes at the core, shattering it on impact.
And with that, The Angel screamed and died.

Aboard the UNFV Othello, stood the three proud saviors of humanity.
Shinji Akagi
Asuka Langley Soryu
Rei Ayanami
They held their heads high as they were checked by medics and technicians. Ritsuko walked by the Pilots tent and peaked in.
"Shinji, you have a message call from Kensuke. He said Kodama had to cancel the date due to a family issue."
Asuka perked her head up.
"You had a date? I thought you said you didn't want to go on dates"
Shinji shook his head.
"I don't, I think they are a waste of time. But I had to do this because Kensuke set me up. If I liked a person I'd just hang out with them more."
Asuka smiled and playfully punched Shinji on the shoulder.
"Guess I should hang out with you more!"
He chuckled and sighed.
"Maybe…"
Rei then butted in.
"Maybe I should too, After all I knew him first!"
As the teens laughed about this, Ritsuko, Misat,o and Kaji stood outside talking and listening in.
"I would put my money on them just being friends throughout this. Their bond will be tougher than steel because of this whole war."
Kaji said, nodding to himself. Misato kept listening in to their conversation and Ritsuko replied to Kaji.
"He has a slight crush on them both, but he also told me he would rather keep Mother safe than for him to focus on other people…"
Kaji sighed and shook his head.
"He is going to need to learn that Naoko will obviously not be around forever. He is going to need to focus on himself at one point."
Ritsuko exhales and chuckles, pulling out a pack of nicotine gum and chewing on one.
"And maybe pick someone else to focus on."
TOKYO-III
1:12 PM JST
"Commander Ikari, Your… Pilot is a very talented young man. I certainly hope that you treat him right for our scenario."
Keel and Jacques stood in Commander Ikari's large and barren office.
"Yes, This young man is something I would not throw away. Keep him in good company and he… will perform wonderfully… I did plan on staying an extra day to help him with some French lessons, but something occurred with his date. Apparently the younger sister found out and canceled it. A shame, I had hoped on teaching him some."
Gendo sat there with his arms folded listening to the older men. Until an Idea came to his mind.
"Surely you don't have to leave so soon? Tokyo-III has a lot of amenities and this could prove to be a gesture of good faith for the Evangelion Project and the UN."
Jacques and Keel thought about it for a moment before they spoke again.
"I suppose Keel would have to go, but I could stay a few more days. It feel good to be out of that stuffy office once in a while."
"Indeed, I would have to return, but Jacques can stay. But he must show up with you at the meeting if this is to occur."
Gendo nodded and smiled.
"Of course."
