TOKYO-III INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
OCTOBER 4th
4:21 PM
The sounds of jet engines filled the air. Large airliners were either on the ground or in the air. Those on the ground waited for their passengers to board, or their crew to get ready, or even just for taxi and takeoff clearance.
Nevertheless it was a very full and packed airport. Thousands of people travel here every month to either visit or work.
An approaching Boeing 737 soon made its descent onto one of the few runways available. Its livery bearing the colors and logo of Lufthansa, the most popular airline in Germany.
The landing gears soon made contact with the asphalt runway. The spoilers deployed and the engines roared, turning their thrust on reverse just to slow down the large aircraft. The insides of the cabin rumbled thoughout this whole process. Some people held onto their seats out of anxiety. Many paid no attention and simply looked out the window. However one passenger paid no attention to either things and simply sat there.
Soon enough the plane slowed down just enough, that it could turn off the runway and begin taxiing on the many taxi ways. Using its engine on low power to maneuver its way to the designated terminal gate.
The plane soon stopped and parked at its spot, powering down its engines and preparing for passenger disembarkment.
Already people standing up and grabbing their carry on luggage and waiting for the cabin door to open.
Again that one passenger did something odd again. When he got up, he didn't grab any bags, he simply got in line and walked out.
That passenger soon left the plane and the jetway, bridging the plane to the terminal gate.
He left the gate and took a few steps before taking a deep breath.
"Something is very different this time… Shinji… Maybe this will be the one to end it…"

CAGE 01
5:32 PM
SAME DAY
Naoko sat in her wheelchair in front of Unit 01. The large titan conveyed no emotion as she gazed up at it. Staring at the many plates of armor and flexible sheeting it had.
An almost inhuman look.
"It's been a while Yui… I think it was a good time to have a chat…"
She tapped her fingers on the armrest of the wheelchair for a moment, taking a moment.
"I need to get in to talk to you…"
Sighing, she pulled out her phone, and began tapping on the tactile keyboard.
A few moments later the back plate on the nape of the neck slid open. The long white entry plug sliding out and locking in place.
"There. You should open up."
. . .
"Now it's just the matter of me getting up there…"
She sat there for a moment before wheeling over to one of the lock restraints before parking it.
. . .
"Ok… This is going to be difficult…"
Slowly she tried getting up. Raising herself out of the chair. She was nervous about this.
"Up we go…"
She raised herself gently and slowly set herself down on the cold metal.
She winced as she touched the metal to her leg cap. The hospital may have done a good job at allowing her to leave immediately, but it still hurts when touched.
Slowly but surely she crawled upward and over.
It felt humiliating, but she needed to do this.
Crawling…
Crawling…
And Crawling some more…
. . .
As she crawled, she heard a door slide open.
"If you help me into the entry plug and don't tell anyone, I'll give you a huge bonus."
. . .
"Mom?!"
"Ritsuko?!"
Ritsuko stormed over to the restraints and made her way up.
"I fucking told you to stay home! Do I have to revoke your clearance?!"
"I need to do this Ritsuko! I need to talk to her!"
"Talk to who? Yui? She'll reject you!"
"I don't care, I'm going to try anyway!"
"You know Gendo tried that, and it didn't work! What makes you think you can!"
"I Just need to talk to her! She needs to know!"
"Know what?!"
Ritsuko got behind Naoko and tried to grab her, only for her to be swatted away.
"Dont fucking touch me! If you won't help me, then get out!"
Naoko attempted to keep climbing further. The entry plug was open. She tried to climb in, but couldn't. She kept trying and trying. Each attempt is more pitiful than the last.
Ritsuko stood there with a look of pure pity.
"Don't just fucking stand there, help me!"
Sighing, Ritsuko walked over and carried her in, Setting her down on the crash couch.
"I'm not going to save you from disciplinary actions. If you get caught, I'm denying everything."
And with that Ritsuko began closing the plug and leaving. Naoko was now all alone in the entry plug.
"Now then… Time to close up…"
Pulling a switch underneath the seat, caused the entry plug to unlock with a jerk. The plug soon rotated inwards. The pilot couch sat still against the rotation, only kept still by its weight and gravity.
The sudden jerk and loud click, indicating that it was ready and locked in place.
Reaching her hand again underneath the seat, she clicked a few buttons.
The scent of strawberries filled the air and the sound of rushing liquid.
The plug soon quickly filled up past Naoko's head.
She gagged as she inhaled the strawberry flavored viscous liquid.
"God.. It's as awful as I remember…"
. . .
"I'm ready… Casper, try and force a synchronization."
A beep came from the speakers acknowledging the command.
"I hope I don't need the clips… I'm not trying to make it move…"
A slight tingle washed over her body as she started to see colors flow around her.
The cascading effect mesmerized her.
"Is this what Shinji sees each time?..."
She stared into the blinding lights…
"Yui?..."
Shinji?
"Yui…"

Naoko fluttered her eyes open, taking in the bright light around her. A figure stood before her, blocking said light.
"Are you ok Dr Naoko Akagi?"
The figure was of a young man, no older than 15.
She squinted to get a good look at him.
"Who are you?..."
. . .
"I'm Kaworu, Kaworu Nagisa, And I just saved you from getting in trouble."
. . .
"What do you mean?"
. . .
"An Angel is about to Attack."
I have a very specific goal with this fic.
To get a message across.
To show you messages.
To Show you things I want to say, but can't be said shortly.
Since the beginning there was one goal in mind for this fic. To show Shinji, a mother's love. To show him something he never had. Something that I feel… A lot of other fics neglect to do. It may be placated with Misato, but I've never seen anyone try and help him when he was young. It was only One fic that did. And it was a bit unhinged, but very enjoyable for me. One of my earliest fics for Evangelion that I read.
. . .
Anyways I'll stop rambling. Thank you for reading this chapter!
I'll see you next time!
