Azazel steps out into the cold air, wearing her white coat and white earmuffs. She could see that the town was cover in white snow, and many buildings had colorful lights on them. She had no idea what was going on, but the way people were walking around and wishing other a Happy Holidays made her felt really happy. Sadly, Lucifer and the others couldn't stand it, and they all went back to Hell for the day. Lucifer trusted her to watch over the apartment, and she made sure the place was clean before heading out.
Azazel walks around, and was surprised that some people started to wish her a Happy Holidays. She continues to walk until she reaches Amity Park Mall. She heads inside, and was surprised to see many people walking in and out of stores. She seems really curious about this and was about to follow someone in when she spotted Tucker, one of Danny's friends. She walks up and taps his shoulder.
"Azazel?" Tucker asked, facing her.
"Hi, Tucker. Um...Happy Holidays!" Azazel told him.
"Thanks, same to you," Tucker said.
"Hmm, saying "Happy Holidays" to people does feel good," Azazel said, writing in her notepad.
Tucker just looks at her before asking the question.
"Azazel, is this your first Holiday?" He asked.
"Um, yes. Why?" She answers and asked.
"Well, you are an angel. I thought you might have known about this." Tucker asked.
"Well, as you know, we angels have our own beliefs. So, I don't ready know much about these Holidays." She said.
"Well, you see..." Tucker started to say.
"He's real!"
"He's not!"
Both of them turn, and Tucker sighs.
"What was that?" Azazel asked.
"Come on, you better see this for yourself," Tucker said and started to lead her down the Mall.
She was surprised to see Danny's parents standing to each side of a big man wearing a red coat and hat and a huge white beard. Both Fenton's were holding microphones in the hands as a group of children stood in a line.
"What's going on?" Azazel asked.
"The Fight," Tucker said.
"The what?" She asked, confuse.
"Mr. and Mrs. Fentons argue over Santa Claus every year. Mr. Fenton believes in him and Mrs. Fenton doesn't." Tucker said.
"Who?" Azazel asked.
"Santa Claus is a man that's said to a jolly good fellow that brings nice kids presents on Christmas Day, while naughty kids get nothing or lumps of coal," Tucker said.
"Why coal?" Azazel asked.
"I really don't know," Tucker said before seeing the children's parents take them away from Santa Claus.
"And their fighting seems to spread to others," Tucker added.
"Huh?" Azazel asked, confused.
Tucker just pointed, and Azazel saw Danny looking upset and annoy. Even more confused, she walks up to them.
"Hi, Daniel. Um, Happy Holidays." Azazel said, not noticing Tucker freaking out a bit.
"Yeah, whatever," Danny said, not caring.
Azazel blinks. He sounded like Malina when she didn't care about something.
"Daniel?" She asked.
"You see, because of the arguing each year, Danny has grown to hate the Holidays. Never once had a good one." Tucker said.
"What?" Azazel asked.
"Come on, dude. This is Azazel's first Holiday. Give her a break." Tucker said.
"Look, I'm sorry, alright? I hate the Holidays!" Danny said.
Azazel couldn't believe it. Danny hated the holidays because of his parents auguring every year? She only started to get the Holidays and was feeling the love and joy in the air.
"Oh! Daniel, Lucifer, and the others went back to Hell for the day. Saying that there were too much joy and happiness for them." She told him.
"Wish I could go with them," Danny said, groaning.
Azazel didn't like this side of Danny. She prefers the happy, ready to help side.
"So, they left you in charge of the apartment?" Danny asked.
"Yes. And I'm used to being alone." Azazel told him.
"Alright. I'll come over later. I need to steam off some frustration." Danny said, and walks away.
Azazel looks sad and looks at the Fentons, who were carried away by the security guards. She then started to think. Hoping to come up with a plan to get the Fenton's to enjoy their holidays.
Danny sat down on the couch with his sister next to him. Both siblings were annoyed by their fighting, and it was hard for them to get away. It was then stopped by a knock on the door. Confuse, Danny got up and answers the door.
"Hi, Daniel!" said a cheerful Azazel.
"Azazel?" Danny asked, surprised.
"Can I come in?" She asked.
Danny nods and moves aside. Azazel nodded in thanks, and kick her boots to get the snow off before walking inside.
"Who is it, Danny?" Maddie calls out.
"It's me, Mrs. Fenton," Azazel calls out.
She and Danny enter the living room and saw that the Fenton's did have lights up and had a tree that was cover in things she never saw before.
"Azazel, welcome back," Maddie said.
"Do you believe in Santa Claus?" Jack asked.
"Jack, she's an Angel. They don't believe in Santa Claus." Maddie said, and the two started arguing again.
"Mr. and Mrs. Fenton! Please stop!" Azazel said, making them turn to her.
"Before I came here, I spoke to my father about the holidays. And about your argument. He is very displeased with your behavior. He doesn't mind the holidays that much, but he takes no pride in people being mean and ruining other people's joy." She said.
Jack and Maddie look at her, confuse.
"Like you said, mom. She's an Angel. She closer to God than anyone." Jazz said.
"Yes, so, please, stop fighting over someone that may or may not be real," Azazel said.
"Don't bother, Azazel. My family is pretty stubborn. They'll be going right back at it in a few minutes." Danny told her.
"Not unless they want to do to hell," Azazel said.
"What do you mean? My parents are on the Redeem List." Danny asked.
"Pandemonica told me that they are near the bottom of that list. The higher you are, the closer you are to heaven. The lower you are, the closer you are to Hell. Your parents made the Redeem List, but they are very close to going to Hell." Azazel said.
Danny blinks. He had no idea that his parents were close to going to Hell. Jack and Maddie look surprised at the news as well.
"Are you sure?" Jazz asked.
"Yes, Heaven also has a person that keeps an eye on people and decide where they will be heading," Azazel said.
Everyone just looks at each other, not sure how to take the news.
Azazel sat down at the table and notices the food that was out. However, Jack and Maddie were once again at it. She sighs and saw Danny had a point. She grew tired of waiting and started to make everyone plates. Jazz walks in first and was surprised to see Azazel set up the plates.
"Azazel? What are doing?" Jazz asked.
"Getting your plates ready. I already warned your parents about their actions. Did they forget that fast?" She said, then asked.
"As Danny told you, we're stubborn." Jazz said.
Azazel sighs. She really did want to repeat herself. She then walks towards them and grabs them by their jumpsuits, and pulls them towards their seats. She put them in their seats and gave them their plates.
"I learn that Holidays are times of joy and laughter, not arguing over something like a bunch of kids. If I have to remind you again about your actions, I won't be so kind!" Azazel told them.
Jazz blinks and guesses that Azazel must have limited on how people act. It was clear that she like her family, but she was an Angel. She was just trying to set them on the right path. Jazz sat down, and Azazel looks confused.
"Where's Daniel?" She asked.
"He left in a huff after mom and dad started arguing again." Jazz said.
Azazel sighs. Tucker was right, Danny never had a good Holiday.
"Through I wonder why," Maddie said.
Now Azazel was shocked. They wonder why?!
"Why?" Azazel whispers, but they all heard it.
"Why?!" She said before she snaps her head up.
All three of them were shocked to see an angry look on her face. It didn't look like Azazel at all.
"WHY?!" She screams, standing up so fast, she knocks her chair down.
"He left because of you two! He left because you let something as stupid as an argument ruin his Holidays!" She shouted.
Jack and Maddie look surprised and Jack looks to say something, but Azazel stops him.
"I may have known Daniel for a few months, but I can clearly see that you two are the source of his hatred for the Holidays! This is my first Holiday and I find that you two are acting like children because of what you believe in!" She shouted.
They both lead back as Azazel leads close to them.
"Who cares if this Santa person is real or not. If you two can't see that your actions are affecting other people, then you're doom for Hell! Your son is already marked for Heaven! Jazz is going to follow him, but you two won't follow them because of this stupid argument! If you can't enjoy the holidays, then don't ENJOY THEM AT ALL!" She shouted again and leaves the room.
The Fentons heard the front door slams, signing that she had left. Jazz sighs and turns to her parents.
"She's right. Neither me nor Danny can enjoy the holidays because you two argue over Santa Clause. Mom, Dad, it time you two just accept what you believe in and stop disagreeing with each other. If you both believe in ghosts, then why are you fighting about someone that may or may not exist?" Jazz said.
They looked at each other, and Jazz sighs.
"It not that hard to guess why Danny left. You've been doing this since before I was born! If you can't see that, then we shouldn't spend the holidays together." Jazz said and grabs her plate.
"Merry Christmas, Mom, and Dad. Thanks for ruining it every year." Jazz said and left.
Jack and Maddie just look at each other and sigh. Deep in their minds, they knew they mess up.
Azazel started to look around town for Danny. She tries to text him, but he didn't answer. She then notices a family close by and saw how they so happy together. Azazel smiles and then spotted something. Not far from the family, stood Danny in his ghost form, watching them. She could see that he was a bit happy for them, but it faded as he sighs. Not wanted to lose him, Azazel walks up to him.
"Nice family." She said.
"Yeah," Danny said.
They just stood there and watch the family throw some snowballs.
"What are they doing?" Azazel asked.
"Snowball fight. Mostly harmless, base on how hard you throw." Danny said, remembering the times he and Jazz would start one.
Azazel watches the family laugh and cleans some snow off them before walking away. She then turns to Danny.
"Daniel, you're were right about your family. They didn't even know that their arguing was the reason you left." She said.
Danny sighs. His parents were always focused on one thing and never bother to think of the others. He loves his parents, but sometimes he can't stand them.
"I sorta lost my temper with them when they didn't notice," Azazel said.
Danny looks at her. She lost her temper with his parents? He didn't think an angel would get mad about anything. Danny sighs and turns back into his human form, wearing his purple coat.
"I told you my family is stubborn," Danny said.
"I didn't think they were stupid to ignore my warning," Azazel said.
"They're not, but it how they are," Danny said.
Azazel sighs and faces Danny.
"Daniel, I like your family. When I visit that day, I saw a happy, lovely family. But today, I saw the opposite of that. I saw the parents acting like little kids and making their real kids hate them for it. Your parents are on the Redeem List, but they are close to going to hell as I told you before." Azazel said.
"I wish, for just one night, that they could not argue about Santa Claus. We can be a family on Christmas Day." Danny said.
Azazel understood. Then, to her surprise, it started snowing. Danny blinks and they both looked up. Snow fell all around them, and it felt peaceful. Then Azazel notices something.
"What's that?" She asked.
Danny follows where she pointed and blush.
"That's a mistletoe." He said.
"A mistletoe?" Azazel asked.
"Yes, as much as I want to blast that away, I don't want to ruin your first holiday," Danny said.
"What is it out here?" Azazel asked.
"Well, it has a Christmas Tradition. It's said that if a guy and girls stand under one, they are supposed to kiss." Danny said, looking away.
"Kiss? You mean like the way Modeus kisses you?" Azazel asked.
"Um, sorta," Danny said.
"Kissing under a mistletoe? Interesting." She said, before looking at Danny.
"Can you show me?" Azazel asked him.
"What?!" Danny asked.
"For my research! There are many things about Earth I want to know. So, can you show me what it's like to kiss under a mistletoe?" Azazel explains.
Danny wasn't sure. Azazel had no idea what it meant to kiss under a mistletoe. Still, she was learning.
"Okay, first we need to stand closer," Danny said, and Azazel steps up closer to him.
"Next, close your eyes and lean forward," Danny told her.
Azazel did just that, and Danny took a breath. He repeated the actions, and soon their lips touch. Both of them remain still, lost in the feeling. Before long, they kiss deeper and wraps their arms around each other. They just stood there as light shine down on them.
How above, God himself watches his daughter kiss the boy and smiles. Azazel was growing Angel. She still had much to learn, but he knew that Danny would never hurt hit her in some form.
"Continue to grow, Azazel. I'm very proud of you." He said.
He knew that Azazel was happy to have a friend, and he could tell that she had feelings deeper than a friend.
"I'm trusting you to watch over her, Daniel. Take good care of my daughter." He said.
And the Christmas Chapter for this story. I partly feel like I could have done better, but I think the ending is fine. Yes, Danny, and Azazel kiss, but they're not going to start dating just yet. Remember, Azazel's title is known as the Curious Angel. She might try to learn about these feelings at a later time. But I do have to start on Danny's and Malina's date for the next chapter.
I said this many times in my other stories, but I can't help to hate Grammarly. Sometimes it tries to fix things that are right, causing my grammar to look bad to some people. And I can't pay for Premium, which shows me more mistakes that I don't see.
