(Cat Noir's POV)
That night, Ladybug just had to get in the way when I was fighting thugs in the alley. Just great! Now I have to save her by doing this the hard way. I unsheathed my claws and scratch every bad guy one by one until one held Ladybug hostage.
"You're making my whiskers twitch in anger!" I grabbed one of the bad guys' guns and ran up to him, sliding underneath him and shooting his legs to make him put Ladybug down.
"AAAGH! UGH!" He was knocked out by a punch to the face by Ladybug.
"I suppose you use rubber bullets," Ladybug said.
I rolled my eyes in annoyance and tossed the gun in the dumpster, "No. Next time, don't get in the way. I told you, Ladybug. I don't fight like a hero"
"More like an anti-hero," She said.
"Whatever. I work alone and I like solitude in my nine lives." I grabbed a trash lid and threw it at the bad guy behind me, knocking him out cold, "One of these days, Ladybug. You're gonna need a new partner to help you but you don't. None of them have destruction power like me"
"I suppose." Ladybug said.
"And again, I'm only there when I feel like it. I'm not letting Shadow Moth claim your miraculous." I said and I quickly moved her out of the way just in time before that bad guy woke up and nearly shot Ladybug, "And you better go. This cat just picked his leftover rat" I said and chased the bad guy in the alley.
Great! Now, this is a pursuit of a cat chasing a rat! I saw him heading towards the subway and I grind the stair rails to get down to the bottom of the stairs faster.
"You can't get away from this black cat!" I ran after him at full speed.
Everyone moved out of my way and I tackled the bad guy just in time before the train doors slide closed. The passengers moved away from us and I wrapped my legs around the bad guy's neck to hold him still.
"You're gonna regret shooting at us!" I strained and I felt him struggling to breathe.
"Let me go!" He struggled to speak.
"Oh yes, to jail!" I tossed him to the security team.
I didn't know they were on the train but at least they are here. I grabbed the bad guy's gun so he doesn't try to hurt the innocents.
"He's all yours," I said after stopping at the next station.
I cataclysm the gun and it turned into coal. Now I gotta hurry to find a hiding place to feed Plagg again. I quickly went upstairs of the subway and hid in the alley.
"Plagg, claws in!" I transformed back.
"My kitten has finally saved his lady from certain death" Plagg teased me but I shoved cheese in his mouth.
"Paris needs their hero still. She's the only one who can fix the damages in battle" I said.
"Fair enough" Plagg ate his cheese.
"And she needs you too, Adrien. How long until you'll defeat your father and turn him in? This is getting tiring" Plagg said.
"Until I'm strong enough to fight him and take his miraculous away" I replied.
"Strength might not be enough, but your skills maybe," Plagg said.
"No matter how many times Ladybug and I failed to capture his miraculous, it's always the same. Ladybug always plays the hero too much" I said, looking back to make sure no one is around.
"Plagg claws out!" I transformed again.
Okay, time to steal a Ducati again. I need a ride to head back to my hideout. Tomorrow is the anniversary of my disappearance. I know my father won't be attending it because he never comes out of the mansion. Very unsupportive of him if everyone thinks he's way too secretive.
I found one and put on the helmet, driving to where I live. Are you kidding me right now?! How can these bad guys on motorcycles find me so easily? I guess they can recognize my catsuit. Looks like I'm gonna have to take them out by shooting the wheels. I reached for my gun and shot at the first one's front wheel. He went out of control and slammed into the road sign.
"Gotcha!" I taunted him and the two others pursued me down the road.
"Your nine lives will be over sooner or later, Cat Noir!" One of them nearly shot me but I dodged by changing lanes on the road.
"Not a chance!" I fired a warning shot at him.
The bullet hit his front wheel and he crashed into the river canal. One down, one more to go. I drove inside the Grand Palais, no one inside, good. I turned my Ducati around and stopped and he did the same thing.
"Aren't you young to be driving that, kitten?" He taunted me.
"It does not stop an anti-hero like me!" I replied.
"You're crazy! You're gonna hurt yourself!" The thug drove his bike towards me but I did not hesitate.
"I don't think so!" I yelled and ran on all fours and jumped on him while his bike smashed against the wall, "Don't make me do this!" I held my claws up.
"You're a coward! You used to be a hero! You're just a kid!" The thug trying to get in my head to trigger my weakness.
"I may be a kid, but I'm not the hero I used to be!" I pulled my menacing act. I smell fear from him and I slowly clawed his cheek with my claw finger. Then I licked his blood from his claw before I went to my Ducati and drove to my hideout.

The next day, I had my haircut by myself and it's back to my original style and today is the anniversary of my disappearance. Typical. I watched from afar how many were placing flowers at a picture of me, even my best friend Nino was there with Marinette, Alya, Luka, Kagami, and many others from my class was gathered. I noticed that Marinette still looked really crushed and Alya comforting her.
Oh, you guys. I do miss you all but there might be no return. I can't risk you all in danger from Shadow Moth, even if I must be the one who defeats him once and for all. But now I'm feeling torn between that I did the right thing or the wrong one by abandoning them, breaking their hearts is far worse than akumatizing. I'm sorry, guys. Truly I am. There's no going back. I cannot let my father find me.
I suddenly felt tears running down my cheeks. I need to leave. It's very emotional. I thought I'm unable to feel anything but this scene is too much. I left the scene and clawed my way down the wall and reached the bottom.
"Claws in" I transformed back to normal.
"It's way too much isn't it?" Plagg asked.
"Yes, the sacrifice of my friendship has a severe impact on everyone," I said and wiped the tear stains off my face.
"No turning back?" Plagg asked.
"I'm not sure of it now. If they find out I'm alive my father will target them all and attack them all at once while I watch" I said.
"Yeah, we better go back before it gets too much for you," Plagg said.
"Agreed. As soon as my father is exposed, I won't have to hide anymore. Just like Fei said, running away is not survival because the past will always come back" I said.
"Yeah" Plagg nodded.
"Plagg, claws out" I transformed again. Time to hunt again so that I can forget this emotional scene. I crawled on all fours like a lion stalking its prey by stealth. I smell them and I know they are close. That cigar stench is awful. It's time to put the smoke out.
"Found you my prey" I chuckled and saw them doing gambling or something.
"It's the cat! Kill him!" One of them noticed me.
I grabbed a chair and knocked one of them down before dodging the punches of another and punched back at him before kicking him down. One grabbed me only for me to double kick his accomplice and then struck the guy holding me with my elbow in the face and then went under him kicking him off balance.
"Come get some!" I gestured my hand to come here.
One of them ran towards me but I slide underneath him and kicked his legs to make him fall.
"AAAGH!" He screamed in pain. But I double kicked him and another thug in the face.
"Come on, boys. This cat is gaining extra lives today!" I laughed that I'm winning and they are losing.
"Damn you!" The leader groaned.
"Damn me?" I walked towards the leader and kneel down, "Next time, improve" I knocked him out before leaving.

Later that night, I was at the movie theaters watching a horror movie about vampires. No one sat next to me as Cat Noir. The staff would've kicked me out but they didn't since they are afraid of my scowling feline eyes and my claws. So instead, everyone respected my personal space.
I took a sip of soda from the straw and had a bit of popcorn. Just then, I noticed someone coming this way to sit beside me. She had a black cat-themed fashion attire. Marinette? I knew she looked familiar from those cat ears hoodie. Is she trying to get my attention or something?
"Hey princess" I muttered while watching the movie, "How did you find me?"
"It's always easy to see the look on everyone's faces where you go," Marinette said.
"Very clever. I saw you at the anniversary of Adrien's disappearance. I'm sorry you had to face the fact that he disappeared for a year." I said and ate my popcorn while watching the scene of a male vampire drinking blood from a female human.
"Yes, he was such a nice guy" Marinette sniffled, she has been recently been crying.
"Marinette, I know it's hard to accept that he's gone but maybe he wanted to live a new life. I'm sure he has never forgotten you or his friends." I said, saying half of the truth of my half side.
"I suppose" Marinette looks down, still feeling sad.
"Here, have some popcorn" I handed a bag of popcorn to her.
"Thank you" She accepted it from me.
"Sometimes I come here as a civilian but this time, as a kitty," I said while watching the movie and sipping my soda from the straw.
"Okay, well we better keep watching" Marinette looked at the screen.
"I even changed my fashion look too. That's why I'm into vampires and dark stuff" I said.
"Mmmhmmm. That makes you Count Noir" Marinette tried to joke while watching the movie.
"Hilarious, princess. Maybe then I'll mark your neck to make you mine" I teased her.
"Heh, as if" Marinette chuckled.
"Meow, my princess is growing claws" I chuckled and Marinette just giggled.
"But still, I used to be a cheerful boy but now I changed my look. There's no going back to what I used to be. Someday I'll find a way to face my past" I said while watching the movie screen.

After the movie, we walked down the street. I can't let Marinette walk by herself at night. It is way too dangerous for her. Then I smell a stalker and I backflip and jumped on him, locking my legs around his neck and pinning him on the ground.
"Good evening, sir. I suggest you take your perverted eyes away from my prey or I'll claw them out and you'll never see anything ever again" I said coldly and made my grip tighter to this pathetic man.
"AAARGH!" The man screamed in pain.
"Cat, that's enough! You'll kill him!" Marinette begged me to stop.
I heard what she said and let go of the man, "Let's go" I carried her in my arms and jumped up to the roof to get her home. I placed her gently on the rooftop balcony.
"Thank you, Cat Noir" She hugged me.
"No problem," I said and hugged her back.
"Deep down you're still the gentle kitty I know," Marinette said.
"Heh, Ladybug said the same thing to me. You two really know how to awaken my old self." I chuckled and kissed my princess on the cheek, "Good night, Marinette" I jumped to the next roof to leave.
