Chapter 3

"Hanma-kun," Akeno whispered when she saw him coming out of the gate of his house.

Hanma turned around when he heard his name. But when he turned around, there was only a black-haired girl who blushed at the sight of him. She was wearing a girl's uniform from his new school. But if anything, he had to admit she had a nice figure.

"Who the hell are you? I've never seen you before in my life so leave me alone." said Hanma as he thought about who the hell she was.

When she heard that, tears welled up in her eyes. She never in her life thought her best friend from childhood would forget her. "B-But" just as she was about to tell him who he was she saw him casually strutting down the sidewalk past her with a cigarette in his hand.

Now, as she watched him walk away, she realized it wasn't just a bad dream. Just as he rounded the corner, she ran to her house. When she got inside, she quickly ran up the stairs and into her room, where she just fell to her knees and sobbed, so sad he'd forgotten his promise.

Two little kids were seen sitting under a tree in the park playing. After a while they just lay on their backs and watched the clouds.

"Hanma-kun promise me you'll always love me and when we're grown up you'll marry me." Akeno said when she was 7 just like Hanma, who turned as red as a tomato.

"Okay Akeno. When we grow up we will get married I promise:" said 7 year old Hanma with a smile on his face as he hugged Akeno who happily returned the hug.

(Flash back End)

Akeno was still sobbing in her room when a teleportation circle with the Gremory symbol suddenly appeared on the floor. But when she came out, her mood immediately changed when she saw her best friend and her queen sobbing on her knees in front of her bed.

"No, that's not possible. Please, it's just a bad dream." Akeno was heard to mutter in between relationships. Immediately seeing her like that she rushed over and hugged Akeno who just sobbed into her shoulder.

"Akeno what happened? Why are you so sad?" Asked a worried Rias. It was the first time she had seen Akeno this sad.

"He has forgotten me and doesn't even remember the promise he made to me," Akeno muttered into her shoulder, sobbing even more at the thought that the only man she loved didn't even recognize her.

"Who forgot you, Akeno. Tell me what happened." said a confused and worried Rias as she tried to comfort Akeno who calmed down after 10 minutes. Akeno, who had finally calmed down, wondered if she should tell Rias that Hanma Shuji was her childhood friend. after thinking for a while, she decided to explain and tell her everything.

After 1 hour of explaining and telling, rias found out that hanma was her boyfriend from her childhood. "And when he looked at me he said "who the hell are you? i've never seen you in my life so leave me alone" and he walked past me and just as he turned the corner i didn't see it and i ran home and sobbed" said rias who felt a little better when she could talk to rias about it.

"So, to set the record straight. You and Hanma are childhood friends and Hanma moved away after his parents died? And now, 10 years later, he's finally back, but he doesn't recognize you at all, and he's completely changed from the nice boy you say he was. " said Rias, who certainly didn't see it coming but thought about what must have happened in Tokyo to change Hanma from a nice boy to a delinquent who loves to fight and is vulgar.

"Yes," she said, as she had the same thought as Rias. "But probably something happened in Tokyo that must have changed him so much that he is like this" Akeno thought to herself as she thought about what to do next.

"Don't worry he probably just doesn't know what you look like akeno. When he finds out who you are he'll be glad to see you. " Rias said as she tried to cheer Akeno up.
Meanwhile, Hanma could be seen walking out of the alley with blood on her knuckles and drops of blood on her face with a sadistic smile on her face.

"It might not be so shitty here heheh. At least there's still someone who's not shitting himself from the fight." Hanma laughed to himself as he walked down the sidewalk past random people. After a while he stopped and took his phone out of his pocket to check the time only to see that it was already 10 o'clock in the evening. "I should probably go home now" thought Hanma as he started to walk home.

When he got home he just took a shower, put on a dark t-shirt and boxers and went to bed.
