The second chapter is up, I plan to kick this out of the way before new years, that way I can start my novel off right on the new year. And because I want this to be over with, it's already kinda forced. Enjoy.

Banjo was at home with Kazooie coding a video game, they'd been working on it for a few months now and things were going smoothly so far.

"Hey banjo, are you hungry?" Kazooie asked, stretching herself from his backpack.

"Yeah go ahead and order us a pizza real quick this is gonna be another long night." Kazooie picked up the phone and dialed the number and began ordering the pizza.

"Oh, and order something for Tootie too while you're at it." He said.

"She better have money to pay for it, cause I'm not paying for her." Banjo ignored this as he continued working on the game. She ordered something for Tootie too begrudgingly. After that they got back to working in the game. After a few hours of working, they stopped and Banjo took out his banjo and sat outside in a yard chair and began playing it, Kazooie hopped in the backpack outside and played her Kazoo.

Retsuko decided to walk around outside the hotel for a bit, so far she hated it, her stuff was yet to even be seen since those things took it, and she couldn't even get into her room. She walked around and was startled to see carrots running around and onions flying around. "WHERE THE HELL AM I?!" She said, freaking out.

"Hi!" She looked down to see a little girl with blond pigtails.

"Uh hi?" Retsuko said nervously, "id you book a room here too?" She suddenly realized she had never saw anyone else booked at this hotel.

"Heck no, that's the worst hotel around here! I live not far off is all, you seriously booked a room there?"

"Yes, but I… can't really get into my room.

"No key?"

"No, I have a key, they….nailed the door shut….."

The child laughed at this, "that's horrible, but I expected nothing less. Don't worry it's for the best, that place is infested with bedbugs and lice. I'm Tootie by the way."

"I'm Retsuko, nice to meet-my stuff is still there!"She cried out in panic.

"Leave it, it's already infested by now. Hm, oh! There's a nice hotel in the Jinjo Village, you can go and stay there!"

Normally Retsuko would decline this since she already paid for a room in her current hotel but this was exception-worthy. "Can you show me to it, please?" She asked.

"Sure! Follow me", she followed her through the area to a big cave, "so what is this place?"

"Where are we right now? Here? Its spiral mountain, a witch owns this mountain, and the hotel."

"Wait, she's a witch?" Normally she wouldn't believe such things, at least not in witches having magic, but after the things she's seen, she couldn't not believe in it. And it scared the crap out of her.

"Yep, my brother and I've never seen her before, but I know someone who's seen her and knows a lot about her."

They walked into the cave and it was really dark, dark enough to not even be able to see the hand in front of her face. "Do you know the way?" Retsuko asked in a shaky voice.

"Yes, when I can actually see. Let's go back to my place and get a flashlight", she said and left the cave.

They walked along the path to her house and they heard a musical sound. "Is that a guitar?" Retsuko asked.

"No, that's my brother's banjo, and Kazooie's kazoo."

"Oh", she said as they got closer, she noticed a brown bear playing the banjo sitting on a chair. She blushed at him being shirtless, most people didn't sit around shirtless. His deep blue eyes were mesmerizing, she felt her heart flutter a bit. His necklace was cool too, he looked so chill. Which was her type.

"Hey Banjo!" Tootie called as she raced over to him. He waved back at her.

"Hey, Tootie, what's up?"

"And who the hell is this loser?" Kazooie said, looking at Retsuko. She flinched at this blushing in embarrassment

"Kazooie! watch your mouth, she's our guest, hi ma'am, nice to meet you."

"Banjo, this is Retsuko. She's a friend of mine."

"Cool, I'm Banjo, and this is Kazooie."

"Get lost." Kazooie snapped.

"Kazooie! Be nice!" Banjo scolded.

"Sorry…" she said.

"It's okay, it's nice to meet you both", she said bowing to them.

"What are you doing?" Banjo asked confused.

"Oh um, it's what we do to say hello in my culture."

"What is your culture, Retsuko right?" Kazooie asked.

"Yeah, that's right, I'm Japanese."

"Japa-what-now?" Kazooie asked confused.

"I've heard of it, it's that place that teamed up with Germany in world war two."

"Um...yes… but we don't like to talk about that!"She said quickly flushing uncomfortably now.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Banjo said to her.

"Hey Banjo, do we have a flashlight?"

"What for?"

"We need to get to the Jinjo Village."

"Okay but why?"

"I um….I need a new hotel…."

"Wow, your really stupid if you actually checked into Spiral Mountain hotel."

"Kazooie! Stop being so rude to her! There should be one in my backpack, Kazooie get it out, please."

"Hold up, what am I getting out of this? "

"Yeah, I won't beat you if you get the flashlight," he said darkly, wrinkles appearing on his snout as he started to snarl a bit.

Kazooie grumbled as she sifted through the backpack and tossed the flashlight to Retsuko, here. "You still owe me though."

"Just ignore her, she treats everyone like this", Banjo said to her.

"Come on Retsuko let's get you into that hotel."

Okay, bye Banjo! Bye um… Kazooie…."

"See ya!"

"Bye…" Kazooie grumbled annoyed.

And that's a wrap! The next chapter will be up likely tomorrow, bye! Also again happy tanks giving!
