"Stop now, and I'll forgive you." The figure standing at the other end of the alleyway was none other than Emilia, the beautiful silver-haired half elf.

"Please return what you have stolen." She had a determined look on her face, but this wasn't deterring the thugs.

"Bruh. We haven't even stolen anything." The thug had a point, but Emilia had the wrong idea.

"Don't lie. Lying is bad. Please return what you have stolen from me. It's really important to me." She looked at you and Subaru. "I'll turn my cheek to whatever you stole from them, so please just give me back my thing."

This gave the thugs a confused expression. "Wait... you didn't come here to help these kids?"

"Well, no," she replied, "but-"

"Then you have no business with us. We ain't got any of your stuff, so scram." The small guy rudely interrupted her. "If anyone's got your stuff, it's probably that little brat that ran past us a few moments ago. Now shoo." He waved his hands at her, expecting her to go away.

Emilia didn't go away, but this statement made her think for a second. "Well, you don't appear to be lying, so I guess I should chase after her..."

No, please don't go! Please stay, please stay, please stay...

"-but I can't ignore what is going on here."

That's Emilia for you! She actually has morals, unlike so many other people!

All of a sudden, dozens of ice shards materialized in the air. Watching the anime, it wasn't anything special, but experiencing it in real life was something special.

I just experienced real magic! Not illusions or brain tricks, but real magic!

While you and Subaru were entranced with Emilia's magic, the thugs had other ideas.

"I don't care if you can use magic! We'll still kill you!" The thugs started running at Emilia, and one of them said, "She can't win if it's all of us against her!"

After they said this, a voice suddenly came from nowhere. "Indeed. All of you against her may be unfair, so what about I join?"

There was a sudden flash of light, and everyone's favorite cat spirit materialized.

It's Puck!

Just the mere presence of this spirit was enough to deter the thugs. "You're a spirit user? RETREAT!" The thugs ran past her, and into the street where they ran away.

As they ran past, Puck said, "That's right, run away. If you do anything to her, I'll haunt you and your kin forever!" After a slight pause, he added, "Not that there'll be anyone to haunt if I get my hands on you."

This exchange left you and Subaru in a state of amazement.

Of course, you already know about Emilia and Puck's powers, but that didn't mean that you were immune to reacting when you saw pure awesomeness. As for Subaru, his little mind was probably blown.

Speaking of Subaru, he was the first one to talk. "Wow. You saved us, thank you!" He had a wide grin on his face, and you couldn't help but let a little grin of your own escape your mouth.

"Wait! Did you steal my stuff?" Emilia made eye contact, and we both broke it.

"A-ha! You looked away because you have a guilty conscience. Looks like I am still an excellent judge of character! Now, give me back my thing."

You sigh. Emilia was too ignorant to realize that she, an attractive female, made direct eye contact with two males, which will make them nervous and break contact. Seriously, what kind of guy has the nerve to stare at a hot girl that he just met?

Puck voiced your thoughts. "Umm Emilia, I think that it was an instinctive male reaction to avoid tension or rudeness."

Way to go Puck! You know how us guys think! Thank you!

Puck continued. "Besides, I don't sense any malice at all from these two."

"That's enough, Puck." Emilia pouted, then turned her attention back to you and Subaru. "Now, tell me who stole my thing?"

"What thing?" Subaru asked.

"My insignia!" exclaimed Emilia. She seemed like she was losing her patience.

To avoid her getting angry, you say, "It was that yellow haired girl that ran past us earlier! She was going way faster than what should be possible, so she probably has some ability that allows her to go fast."

"Is that so? Thank you for this information." Emilia turned her back to you. "Now, I'll be making my way to find this girl. Have a nice day." She started to walk off.

Oh shoot! What do I do? Emilia is about to leave! She didn't do this in the anime!

While you were panicking, Subaru passed out from the beating that he got earlier.

Thank goodness. Subaru finally did something useful today! Now we have a reason for Emilia to stay!

Puck noticed Subaru's condition, and he stopped Emilia. "Hey, that kid just passed out from his injuries."

This stopped Emilia. "Well, I really need to get my insignia..." She looked like she was about to start walking again. "Yeah, we should go... we can leave him like this. It's none of our business..."

Puck smiled. "But you're still going to help him, aren't you?"

"Be quiet, Puck! I will not!" Emilia looked cute when she was arguing.

Oh shoot! I can't be having these thoughts right now! I need to focus on my current tasks, which is to keep Emilia with us and eventually beat Elsa at the warehouse.

You try to say something that would keep Emilia with you, but you're shy and too embarrassed to say anything.

Gosh dang it! I still can't talk to girls! This is why I can't get a girlfriend!

Fortunately, Emilia came back on her own accord, and started to heal Subaru. While she healed him, you said, "Thanks for helping us. If you didn't come, I don't know what would have happened to him." You purposely didn't say 'happened to us' because you would have run away easily.

While you were still in your world, you ran long distance track and cross country in high school. Running was one of the few things that you gave a lot of effort towards. You thought it was fun, and it was a good way to unwind and forget all the stressful things about life.

"Well, I'm only doing this because you gave me that information about the thief. Don't take any of this the wrong way, okay?" You don't remember Emilia being a tsundere, but you don't mind at all.

"Sure, " you said in a sarcastic tone.

Emilia shot a glare at you, but you didn't pay any heed.

You sat in silence for a few minutes when you had an idea. "Hey, Puck, I have an idea."

When you said this, he froze. "How do you know my name?" He said this in an accusing tone, and you knew that you messed up.

Racking your brain for an answer, you said, "Well, she called you Puck earlier, so I just assumed that it was your name."

Puck seemed satisfied with that answer, so he calmed down, which left you relieved. You know all too well what Puck was capable of. "Well, since you know my name, what is your name?"

You clear your throat. "My name is (Y/N) (L/N), and my acquaintance here is Natsuki Subaru, but he goes by Subaru."

Puck nodded his head. He then looked over to Emilia, and said, "Why don't you introduce yourself since (Y/N) here was kind enough to tell us his name?"

Emilia hesitated before answering. "My n-name is... Satella."

You know that this is a lie, so you try something to make her feel guilty. "Well, nice to meet you, Satella. I don't know if that name really matches you, but if you say that Satella is your name, I'll just call you that, unless you want me to call you something else."

Your plan worked. Emilia looked really guilty, and Puck shook his head at her. "Well, she goes by Emilia, so you can call her by that, right?" He gave Emilia a semi-threatening glare, and she replied with "Y-yeah. You can call me Emilia."

You smile, and say, "Well, I like the sound of Emilia much more than Satella, to be honest."

Puck nodded approvingly. "You have a great taste in names, (Y/N). By the way, what was this plan that you had?"

You smile devilishly, and you tell them.

Time skip

Subaru woke up to the sound of a voice asking, "Are you awake?"

He rubs his head, and comments, "Well, its kinda weird for a cute girl to be this hairy, but I guess it's fine." His eyes opened wide. "Wait, this can't be right!"

He jumped up and saw this it was not Emilia that had given him a lap pillow, but it was indeed a large and hairy cat. "What?!"

You were the first one to laugh, and Emilia and Puck soon followed. "Was this your idea, (Y/N)?!"

You're laughing so hard that you can't reply, so you nod your head.

"Well, screw you!" This just made you laugh harder, and you were soon on the ground. You were laughing so hard that it hurt.

"Hey! That's not a nice thing to say!" said Emilia through her giggles.

This just made Subaru glare at her. "I don't know who you are, but don't tell me about not being nice. What do you think it is that you just pulled off?"

This caught Puck's attention. "Hey! She just healed you, and you had the privilege of sleeping on my extra soft fur! If anything, you should be thanking us for letting you sleep on my lap!"

This is getting weird... Oh well. I should calm Subaru down.

You stop laughing, and put your hand on Subaru's shoulder. "Hey, sorry about that, but he's ri-"

"HE?! This cat is a guy!? This is so messed up!" You just succeeded in making the situation even worse.

"Subaru."

As soon as these words came from Emilia's mouth, Subaru shut up. "How do you know my name?"

"Well," said Puck, "your friend (Y/N) here introduced you along with himself. By the way, my name is Puck, and this is Emilia." He pointed to Emilia, and learning her name seemed to be enough to make Subaru forget about what just happened.

"It is nice to meet you, Emilia." He bowed, and this only made him embarrass himself.

"I-it's my pleasure," stuttered Emilia.

"Well, since Subaru's done with his beauty nap, let's go get that insignia!"
