Chapter 19 - Farewell Of Tears and Joys

In the previous chapter, Rosa Lilac have her final settlement against Mayumi at the top of the old building while Jerry and the others rescued Kindaichi. Later on, Rosa successfully killed her but she was quickly disappeared away is because the old Rose Hotel building was about to collapsed, making Kindaichi felt lonely and heartbroken.

Jerry, Miyuki, Akechi, and Rika came back at the hotel. Tom and the others were went approached to them. But somehow, they seen Kindaichi was felt lonely.

" Is it was really true, pal.. that Miss Lilac was dead? " Tom asked Jerry

" Exactly it was " Jerry answered, not in a good mood

" So.. it means... the case will be closed, isn't it? " Kenmochi asked

" Precisely it is. She dies for love.. to her special someone. " Rika answered

" So.. what we gonna do next? " Tom asked

" Write a report, telling that Rosa killed herself.. that's all. " Jerry said in response

" Are you really sure about that? " Chazz asked him

" I'm afraid we have no other choice but to accepted the whole fact. But for now, we have to clear everything first after the Rose Festival. " Akechi stated

But they had seen that Kindaichi walks out, went upstairs, without saying a word.

" Poor Hajime... " Miyuki uttered, as she looked at him from afar, went upstairs

In which Jaden was very curious of Kindaichi's sadness and he thought on his mind " I had felt so sorry for him.. he cannot let go of the past that it was so very special to him. But somehow.. "

But his thinking moment when Chazz interrupted " Hey, what are you thinking at, Jaden? "

" I guess I'm getting worried for Sir Kindaichi. If it will gonna keeping on like this, his intelligence as a famous detective will be faded away. "

" What do you mean by that? Just let him be, he needs more time to think. Don't telling me that... "

" He felt strong sadness for the very first time unlike from before. The only way to do is to proved to him that he was not alone.. just how my fiancee proved it that to me. "

" You mean your childhood sweetheart, Serena Tsukino, isn't it? "

" Exactly it was. "

" Okay, you should talked to him in a private."

" Thanks, Chazz. "

Jerry interrupted in, asked Jaden " Hold on.. are you saying that you will gonna convinced Kindaichi? "

" Yes, it is. This is the only way to make him return back to his normal self. He should have let go of the past and move on. "

" Are you really sure about that, Master? I'm in a little bit doubted. "

" It will gonna work out, Jerry. Trust me. " with a determination smile

" Master... " and then he sigh in deep breath, paused for a moment and after that he said " Okay, if that was you had said.. then it was fine with me. "

" Alright but I have an another favor that I need to asked to you, Jerry my apprentice. "

" And what is that, Master Jaden? Tell me ahead. "

Meanwhile at the room, Kindaichi was lying down on the table desk, crouching himself, still felt crying with tears.

" Why you have to died just like that, Rosa? Why?! I don't really wanna lose from me.. but why? why?! I'm so very lonely without you. "

A few moments later, someone knocked the door.

" Who's that? Just leave me alone for a moment, please. " he asked

" It was me, Jerry Mouse. I guess me and my master Jaden wants to talked with you. " Jerry answered in response

" Just go away. I have to take a rest for a while. " Kindaichi told him

" Oh come on, just for a few moments.. please.. " Jerry said with a little pleaded expression on his face

He paused in silent and after a few seconds later, he responded in a normal tone manner " Okay, fine. You two may go in now. "

The two entered in, went approached to him.

" So... what are you going to talk to me about? " Kindaichi asked, turned his back, facing at them

" We had came here to convinced you. " Jaden answered

" convinced me? of what? " Kindaichi asked

" To move on from what happened back then. " Jerry said

Kindaichi, nodded his head, still with sadness on his face " I'm afraid I cannot. "

" Why not? Are you still can't able to move on from that? I guess everyone were getting worried about you even Miss Nanase either. We are all so very concerned about your current condition. You shouldn't be like that. " Jerry asked

" I know that but is because I cannot stopped thinking about her. Do you think you are not aware of what I had truly feel with? Moving on is doesn't make sense to me. " Kindaichi said, raised his head

" I'm awared of what you had truly feel with, Mr Kindaichi. " Jaden said

" Sir Jaden... are you saying that... you had already know of what I had truly feeled with? " Kindaichi asked

" Yes, it was. Just like you, I have felt the same way as you do but there is one person convinced me that I'm not really alone anymore... and besides, she was so very special to me. Since then, she told me always that.. have strong faith and courage.. not only in your heart but in your soul as well. Currently, she and I were in an official love relationship. " Jaden stated

Kindaichi was surprised of what he had said.

" My master was right, Boss Kindaichi. You have just move on from the tragical past.. focusing right now on the present and focused on your own future... not only for you and for everyone else. Even she was not here anymore, Miss Lilac will be always there in your memories forever. " Jerry said

" Jerry.. Sir Jaden... "

The two were smiled on their faces.

And then, he said in a normal way " You know what, she will be always in my memories.. forever will be. I guess I was wrong about that. Thanks for encouraging me. "

" No problem at all, Boss Kindaichi. I'm always here to help, not only to you but to others as well. " Jerry said

Kindaichi smiled of what Jerry said.

Later on, Kindaichi went downstairs, went approached to Tom and the others.

" Miyuki.. everyone. I'm sorry for my reaction back then. I couldn't control my own sadness and grief. " he said in an apologetic manner

" No need to apologize for that, Kindaichi." Kenmochi said

" It was? " Kindaichi asked

" Yeah, we had understood of what you had truly feel for Miss Rosa and we had truly understand that you are the best detective ever. " Chazz stated

" Everyone... " he uttered

Then, Miyuki rushed to him, hugging him.

" Miyuki.. " with a slight blush on his face

" Hajime, I'll promise to you that I will never leaved you behind ever again. "

" Promise that? "

" I will "

Everyone were acting in a romantic manner.

But then, a mysterious person entered in, saying " I guess you guys were so very sweet. "

" Wa.. wait.. I know that voice.. it was.. " Jerry uttered

The mysterious person was no other than Misato Katsuragi (from Neon Genesis Evangelion). When Rika sees her, she was surprised.

" Cousin! "

" Rika! "

And they hugged together.

" Wait... Rika had a cousin? But that was impossible. " Tom wondered in a surprise manner

" So... how was your case solving going? " Misato asked her

" Seems very nice. I was along with Detectives Tom and Jerry. "

" Wait.. they're here? "

She seen Jerry waving his hand.

" Tom! Jerry! It was been a while. " Misato said, went approached to them

" Me too, Miss Misato. How was your job going? " Jerry asked

" Seems going so well as usual. " Misato answered

" Hold on.. how you and Miss Rika were cousins anyhow? " Tom asked her

" I will gonna explained everything later. And the-"

When she sees Jaden was beside with Jerry, she was surprised in love struck.

" What an unexceptional gorgeous young man you are. " she said

" Huh? Are you referring to me, Ma'am? " Jaden asked, with curiosity on his face

This makes Chazz felt a little bit jealous.

" Hey, Princeton.. what was the matter? Are you jealous enough? " Kindaichi asked, with romantic embarrassment

" Me? jealous? No way. "

" Yes, you are. " in a teasing manner

" Okay, fine! I'm a little bit jealous is because Jaden was very popular and lots of ladies and women were having a huge crush on him. "

" Oh, I see about it.. but he's popular because he was the class representative of Duel Academy. That's was the reason why he was very popular with female ones. "

" Oh, Shut up " with a little grumpy facial expression on his face, turned his head away a little

Misato went to him.

" What was your name? My name is Misato Katsuragi, and yours? "

" I'm Jaden Yuki. Actually, my Japanese name was Judai, the class representative of Duel Academy. "

" Jaden, huh? That name was fit for a handsome young man just like you. "

" Thank you, Miss Misato. I guess my apprentice Jerry told me everything all about you. " with a slight smile on his face

" I'll appreciate it. "

She kissed his hand as the sign of respect, in which they were surprised. Chazz, was still a little bit jealous towards to Jaden.

" She was very popular with men after all." Jerry said, with a sigh

" Me too, pal. She was very similar with our bestie, Sailor Moon. " Tom said

After that, his face turned blushed in red and he said " Uh, thank you for doing that, Miss Misato.. but unfortunately I had already have my own fiancee. "

" Oh, that was too bad. I guess you are more handsome than the other one that I met with. "

Note - She was referred to Shinji Ikari, the main protagonist of the Evangelion.

" Thanks for saying that. But we will still be close friends and allies. " with a smile on his face

" Sure "

Then, Kindaichi turned to Jerry, asked " So.. are you gonna write the whole case report? "

" By tomorrow "

" I see about it. "

And so as the days passed by, the case was finally closed. The detectives animals pair sent their case report to their detective boss in Toucaville. Upon reading the report paper, he was very astonished and well appreciated on his face and he replied in a casual manner:

" This case report was so very creative and astonishing and I guess you two did so very well.. I'll appreciate it.. well done.. "

Upon saying this, Tom and Jerry were happily delighted.

After that, they returned back to Kyoto City for attending for the actual Rose Festival. All of them were watching at the parade of flowers and roses were processed at the streets.

" This is the best festival ever, right Boss Kindaichi? " Jerry asked him

" Sure of, this is the best. " Kindaichi said in response

After the parade, they were watching the fireworks display at the outside of the Kyoto Hotel.

" Amazing " Miyuki said, amazed

" So very beautiful... " Tuffy said

Kindaichi, turned his head to Akechi, asked " So.. what was your next plan? I guess you are planning to married with Miss Rikako. "

" Well.. I guess she and I were having that discussion last night. "

" It was? "

" Why not? I was feeling that I will never lose her from me. She was my only hope that I have. "

" Wow, I guess you had been changed a lot.. due to your strong love for her. If it will be that to happened, I'll be one of your groommens. "

" No problem, Kindaichi. " with a smile on his face

Then, Jerry narrated " After days passed after the death of Rosa Lilac, things had been changed a lot. Me and my pal Tom were finally solved the case even though it was very difficult to say that Miss Rosa admitted that she still have strong feelings for Boss Hajime Kindaichi. But somehow, he continues to stayed positive and strong...and to continues his greatest responsibility as the grandson of the famous detective. On the other hand, Miss Rikako and Mr Akechi were planned to getting married next year and of course, Boss Kindaichi will be invited as well.. including me and my pal Tom. After the festival, we were departed Kyoto City to go back home. "

At the train station, Rika came along with Akechi and her brother Ryotaro bid farewell to Kindaichi and the others and they went to a different train.

" Well.. shall we headed back? " Tom asked Jerry

" No problem, pal. But first, we need to eat some pizza first. " Jerry said in response

" Man.. I'm getting hungry, uncle. " Tuffy said

" Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go and dig in. " Kindaichi asked in a rush, with an excitement on his face

" Hajime, you are always excited for food. " Miyuki said with a sigh

" Maybe I should pay you guys for free. " Kenmochi said

" You do? " Kindaichi asked

" Of course.. with free drinks. " Kenmochi said, with a happy smile

And so, they leaved the place. But unbeknownst to Kindaichi, the soul spirit of Rosa was watching from afar, seeing him was talking to Tom and Jerry. Somehow in a few moment, she smiled and said in a whispered manner " I Truly Loved You, My Only Detective.. Hajime Kindaichi."

And she disappeared from the spot. When they were already left, a rose petal was felled on the spot where Rosa was standing at.

In a flashback, a young Kindaichi sees Rosa was playing piano at the music room of the Rose Hotel. When she sees him, she stopped played and she was surprised that he was holding a red rose on his hand, in which she smiled in a lovingly manner.

Back at the present time, after eating pizza at the restaurant, they were riding in a bullet train, to headed back home. When Kindaichi sees an another rose petal fell from the skies at the outside window, he smiled " You'll be always in my heart and in my memories.. Rosa Lilac... Please, keeped watching at me at all the times.. whenever I go to.. "

And the bullet train continues going to their destination.
