Chapter 8

Nom Anor stood chatting with the female shaper about how they need to transport the Voxyn Queen to a new location as soon as possible. The Executor was soon getting annoyed by the how the shaper kept saying that this ship was unsuited for the Voxyn.

Wearing his fine cloak and armor, the tall alien looked almost dead due to his appearance with it looking like a skull.

Nom Anor had no hair, one eye colored blue and the other a deadly creature called Plaeryin bol, which looked like an normal eye, expect it shot out a deadly poison when the wearer activated it.

The Executor had been active in the galaxy for years long before the invasion. He had been sent to scout and determine the strength's of the various governments and groups that would pose a challenge to his people.

At the start of the war, he had faked his death to the public. He then worked covertly, until recently when his existence was revealed to Leia Organa Solo, when he demanded the location of the Jedi Base or his people would destroy the refugees at Talfaglio.

This plan had failed for Nom Anor, who then was sent to meet the New Republic's Senate on Courscant. There he thought the Chief of State, Borsk Fey'lya, would give in to his threat. But once again things turned against the alien as the Bothan choose to side with the Jedi after having a change of mind.

Using a special device, Nom Anor had been able to escape from Courscant He then was sent with the alien called Vergere to Myrkr to capture Jacen and Jaina, as they were to be sacrificed due to them being twins.

Since he had arrived, both he and Vergere had gone off after the Jeedai on their own, which was turning into a hassle now.

While searching for them, he learned that the Voxyn Nest was destroyed and that the Queen was to be taken somewhere else. He had been arguing with the Shaper for almost 10 minutes since arriving at the hanger.

Nom Anor was getting annoyed by this talk and was about to leave, when he heard a strange noise. Turning around, the Executor saw a fast-moving object coming his way.

Seeing it, the Vong turned to run, but he was knocked aside as a explosion went off around him, engulfing the hanger in flames.

Outside the Rogue Shadow was continuing to fight against the enemy, but the ship was starting to get damaged in certain areas. This worried Juno and she watched PROXY do everything he could to hold the ship together.

Then she saw a button on the console start to beep again and again. Pressing it she heard the sound of Wookiee speaking in grunts and noise. While she didn't speak Chewbacca's language, she guessed he was saying, "We found the team, come get us now!"

"About time, where are you?" she wondered. Then she saw a cloud of smoke and fire erupt in one area. "Never mind that, I'm on my way to get you all," she said as she turned the Shadow in that direction.

"General, I got word from the rescue team. Once I have got them, let's get ready to get out of here," she said over the comm. Kota agreed with her and issued a new order.

"All ships fall back at once, we're getting ready to leave," he ordered. Then, turning to the protocol droid, he commanded, "Prepare to make the jump to Hyperspace, were rendezvousing with the rest of the fleet."

Outside the Droid fighters started to fly back to the control ships, along with Padme and Bo, who flew towards the Destroyer. Some of the fighters were being torn apart by the remaining Vong ships who continued their pursuit.

"Leave them to us," Kota ordered as the ship's turbolasers fired, doingsome damage to the smaller craft. Once they were clear, both starfighters along with the remaining ships landed down in the hanger.

Striking the ship with great force, the hanger was soon engulfed in smoke and fire. Rex loaded another shot then fired again, which caused more damage to the enemy ship.

In the mist of this chaos, the female Shaper was knocked out, while her handlers did their best during the attack to hold the Voxyn Queen in place. Then the two warriors saw three shadows come down upon them as their lightsabers cleaved off their arms and heads.

Once freed, the Queen attempted to flee, but found herself being held in place as she roared in anger. Turning her head back, she saw Starkiller, Ahsoka and Jaina hold the monster up. Feeling herself getting closer, the Queen started spitting it's acid mucus at the three who dodged the attacks.

This caused the three to lose their hold on the Queen, who ran towards one of the nearby access tunnels. It appeared that she was going to get away.

Suddenly another explosion went off, and the Voxyn was thrown back into the hanger, along with pieces of coral and armor.

Emerging from the smokey entrance of the tunnel were two people. One was a tall young man holding a lightsaber. Jaina smiled at seeing her brother, Jacen Solo. The second person was a older looking man that had fired a blaster back at the tunnel for bit before using the Force to bring it down. This person was Ganner Rhysode, who had a smirk on his face.

Roaring in anger at the two new attackers, the Queen hurled several more mucus shots at them, causing them to jump out of the way.

"Kriffing Voxyn!" Ganner shouted as he began to fire at the Queen. She dodged left and right, then charged at him. Jacen used the Force to hurl the creature into a nearby Coralskipper. The impact damged the cockpit from the weight of the creature.

"Keep focused Ganner, I won't always be there to save you!" Jacen repiled to his fellow Jedi as he went after the Queen. She saw him coming and ran off, with Ganner joining in pursuit, along with Jaina, Ahsoka and Starkiller.

Using the Force, the five began to throw the remains of the enemy fighters in the Queen's path to keep her from escaping.

Reacting with quick movement, the Queen jumped around and above the pieces of the fighters until a large group of them suddenly formed a circular wall around her. Looking for a gap to escape she rammed into the walls, but found no weaknesses. Then she heard a hum as seven swords came down slicing off all of her legs and tail.

A loud and painful roar was heard as the Queen looked at her attackers, who stared at her as she was dying.

"Time to end this!" Jaina said as she and Ahsoka dropped their last explosives, then jumped out of the walled area with the others.

Seconds later a explosion went off destroying the Queen, as the five heard her scream while being burned alive.

Smiling at their victory, Jacen turned to his twin sister and hugged her. "Glad to see your alive," he said with a smile.

"Same here!" she responded.

"Don't I get a hug too?" Ganner asked.

Jaina shot him a stern look, causing Ganner to quickly reply, "It was a joke, a joke." He then noticed the two strangers behind her.

"Who are they?" he asked staring at the two. Jacen saw them as well, then looked at Jaina.

"New friends of ours, they saved us before and are about to now!" she replied as she heard the sound of a ship approaching.

Turning around, the five and the others saw a modified looking transport come down with its landing ramp extended.

"Let's go," Ahsoka gestured and they started running.

Jacen saw Anakin and the other members of the strike team, as well those who survived, along with a someone who looked like a stormtrooper, some droids and a Wookiee?.

"Jaina what is!" he asked, but saw his sister stopped him.

"I'm in the dark too, but we will find out later. Now let's get out of here," she responded while running.

Everyone raced up the ramp into the ship. Running towards the cockpit, Starkiller found Juno and PROXY at the controls, which made him happy.

"Were all in, let's go!" Ahsoka shouted. Juno pressed the button, raised the ramp and closed the door. Then the Shadow lifted up and shot out of the hanger.

Outside, Nom Anor came to his feet and watched as the enemy ship flew away. A great anger came over him as he looked around. He saw the two warriors dead and the shaper who was knocked out. Then a group of warriors arrived, along with his aide Vergere.

"Contact the commander and tell him to stop that ship at all costs," he ordered the leader of the warriors.

As the Shadow flew away from the Worldship, Juno felt happy to be leaving this terrible place, as she flew around the field of destroyed fighters from the battle earlier.

She did have to dodge the remaining enemy fighters that remained for a bit. Luckily the Guardian and Orion were there to aid them as they got closer.

Once they were clear, Juno brought the Shadow down into the Destroyer's hanger. As soon as it landed, the lights of Hyperspace appeared as they and the remaining ships jumped away.

Sighing in relief, Juno got up to embrace Starkiller. "Glad you made back," she whispered to him.

"Yeah, same to you," Starkiller responded.

"I'm also relived to see you alive master," PROXY added, which made the two laugh.

"So how many Jedi did you rescue?" Juno asked.

"Ten, nine of which are young looking, only one adult among them," Starkiller answered.

Juno was surprised. She expected the Jedi to be older.

"They all have injuries from their fight against the Vong, so they're going to need to be in the Med bay for awhile."

"So do you by the look of it," Juno replied, noticing the cuts and bruises on his body. "I'll call the medical staff," she said as the three left the cockpit.

Heading out of the Shadow, Juno found a console on the wall and called up the medical staff. Within a few minutes several droids arrived with the floating tables.

Padme and Bo had been watching this asked Juno about it. The told them about the groups injuries and how they indeed attention at once.

All three watched as the medical droids lead both the rescue and strike team away to the medical bay while the women went to change out of their uniforms.

Once both groups were in the medical bay, the droids went to work on patching up everyone. The more serious patients were placed into bacta-tanks, such as Anakin and Tahiri.

Those with minor injuries were wrapped up and told to take it easy for awhile. After being looked at, the rescue team left so the staff could continue with their work.

As they came outside, the four saw Kota waiting for them. "How are they?" he asked.

"They look like hell, but they're alive, which is the important thing," Starkiller responded.

"Good to hear. I imagine it wasn't an easy mission. We had some troubles as well with the Vong's ships," Kota said, speaking briefly about the battle.

This surprised the four, hearing how the enemy fought in space. "We're going to need to input this data into the ships computer and begin to come up with some counter strategies," Rex suggested after hearing this.

"I agree. So the question now is where do we go from here?" Starkiller said.

The others also wondered this too, for a bit.

"We can discuss that with our new friends once they have recovered," Ahsoka suggested, and the others agreed.

Chewie then said he wanted to check out the ship first, then grab a meal in the mess hall.

"Sounds like a good idea Chewie," Ahsoka stated with a smile as she followed him and Rex, while Starkiller and Kota went off to let the women know about the meeting.
