(AN): sorry about the wait, everyone, I've just been rather busy for the past few months. I'll try and update as much as I can.

Chapter 6: Farley Family

Fay Farley

I sat on my bed, examining my bandaged up leg with a frown. That mission two days ago was miserable, came out with a bad leg and a minor case of frostbite. I stretched and stood up, peered out of the window down at Fortuna: a planet we were just wrapping up a siege on. Star Fox wasn't necessarily needed here, since our ships were being repaired and the decoy fleet managed to do serious damage to the enemy's defence miraculously.

I felt a bit useless up here, but nonetheless, I sighed and watched as my kettle started boiling, taking it off my hot plate and pouring it into a cup I had prepared earlier. I sat at my table on one of the cushioned seats and began sipping at it while tapping on my datapad. An image of my half brother was displayed on the screen. Felix...just who were you?

I searched the net for info on him, searching every criminal database I could. My eyes widened as I came across a news article. I slowly whispered the article.

"Local mercenary ring arrested on Papetoon… seven mercenaries found hiding in an abandoned warehouse smuggling illegal weaponry into the planet…" I looked at all the mugshots before me. One of them was obviously Felix. Looked about my age at best in the picture. He looked slightly… scared. I skipped past the other criminals and read what they said about him. "The youngest of the group was Felix Farley at age seventeen, he refused to speak about himself or his past and had no ID. Wanted on other planets for robberies, aggravated assaults and stalking, his sentence was the lowest… dammit!"

I punched my desk. Of course when I got a lead, it turned out to be useless. I started thinking. Without ID, he wasn't in any systems before getting put on the criminal record. I looked at his photo. Given the time period and circumstances… he was born when Mum and my father lived on Corneria. My heart sunk in my chest. There was only one answer in my mind. His mother was probably… a Cornerian prostitute.

I growled under my breath, tugging at the light tank top I wore. Did my father have no tact?! Ugh…

I held my ears and banged my head on the table, why out of the entire team did I have to be the victim of my father's adultery?! Looking back at the photo of Felix, I felt my heart drop. He didn't ask for any of this. He was just a victim of circumstances and a horrible father. I could even see vulnerability in his sky blue eyes. Other than the brown spot over his eye and ear, he looked no different to me.

"Felix...I don't hate you…" I murmured and stood up after finishing my tea, placing my datapad into the pocket of my shorts. "I'll find and help you…"

I heard a heavy tapping on my door, causing me to tilt my head and stand up, limping over to the door and opening it. Stood at the other side was my best friend, Miyu. The lynx smiled down at me and examined my leg.

"Hey hey, Fay!" She grinned and gave me a thumbs up. "Doing any better than yesterday?"

"I can walk better than before," I flexed the toes of my injured leg and smirked. "Thanks for checking up on me."

"No problem," Her expression dropped as she looked at my datapad. "Any new news on him?"

"Not much, Miyu… I don't have any info on his family beyond myself and our dad, his mother was probably a prostitute." I frowned at imagining my dad cheating on my mother with some streetworker. It was a particularly vile thought. "I'll have to keep looking, though, luv."

"Hmm, I see…" Miyu frowned and rubbed her chin. She looked at the stars beyond a nearby window for a moment. "Well, wanna have a break from that with me, I was just heading to the gym for training, thought it could help you back onto your feet."

"Hmm…" I looked at my datapad, the picture of Felix and sighed. I guessed I could have had a break from it. After all, I spent every waking moment searching since Fichina. I casually walked back into my room, placed the pad on my bed and retrieved my gym clothes. I exited my room and stood next to the tall lynx, shutting my door behind me. "Sure, lets go."

"Sweet, let's go," Miyu nodded and started to walk, placing her hands behind her head. "Soooo, what happened between your parents, if you don't mind me asking?"

"It's… complicated." I cringed and stared out the window. "Basically, my dad married Mum because of her family fortune. We come from the um… upper classes of Corneria… not to brag, luv. However, I was just a puppy when they separated. Dad went AWOL and Mum didn't divorce him so she didn't have to give up half of everything she owned to him, hence why I'm still a 'Farley.' I'm betting Felix, my half brother has something to do with the story. Bloody layer after layer of this mess."

"Jeez, your dad sounds like a piece of work," Miyu cringed as we got to the changing rooms, stripping off to get geared up. I mimicked her, throwing my pyjamas into a corner and getting my gym clothes on. "What was the aftermath like?"

"Well, thankfully, Mum loves me with all her heart, I'm her pride and joy," I let myself smile as I looked at Miyu, before looking away with a huge blush as she was completely topless. "A-and for dad… I don't know, haven't seen him since I was like, three. Seventeen years ago."

"What's wrong? Seen something you like?" Miyu teased. "Well, you can look now. Go on with your story."

"A-ah, well," I started again, turning and seeing she simply wore a sports bra and shorts. "There's not much else to it, Miyu, life was boring until joining Star Fox. Boring, but cushy… bloody hell, look at that!"

In a corner of the room was a discarded blue jumpsuit. Upon picking it up, I realised how bloody huge it was. Samus' for sure.

"God damn, we could both fit in that if we wanted to!" Miyu laughed and tried holding it up too, but even she struggled to hold it up completely. "What do you think Samus has been eating all her life?"

"Everything that's edible probably," I mused and rubbed my chin, impressed at the sheer size of Samus' clothes alone. "I'm ready, you?"

"As I always am," Miyu responded with a chuckle. "Let's go."

The gym was mostly quiet, our variety of machines unused save for some. In a corner, lifting the heaviest weights we had was Samus, showing the most skin she ever had with her vest and tracksuit bottoms. Her golden fur was tied in a tight tail behind her head to keep out of the way. On a treadmill next to her was Falco, jogging at a decent pace. Miyu and I looked at each other for a moment before joining the two, stretching to ready ourselves.

"Hey, Miyu, Fay!" Falco smiled, not slowing down much. "How's the leg treating you, Fay?"

"Good, good," I casually responded, reaching down to touch my toes. "Mostly healed up thanks to the brace. How're you two?"

Samus ceased her endless weightlifting for a moment to respond. Even when sitting down, she was monstrously tall compared to me. Ugh, why did I have to be born with short girl genes?! Even Krystal and Miyu were relatively tall compared to me...hell, even Miyu was taller than all the men in Star Fox except for Falco!

"I'm doing fine," Samus bluntly responded, giving me a subtle smile. "I'm glad your leg is doing fine, a few inches deeper and that could have done irreversible damage to your lower leg."

"Bloody hell…" I gulped. "Glad I lucked out there…"

I eyed up some of the lighter weights and rubbed my chin. "Irreversible huh…"

I shuddered and sat down next to Samus, staring down at our paws. Her shoe size easily dwarfed mine. Everything about this woman was mighty.

"So, Sam," Miyu sat at the huntress' other side, a big smile oozing with confidence on her muzzle. "Can I call you that?"

"I can't stop you from calling me that," Samus responded, continuing her weightlifting.

"Of all my twenty years alive," Miyu smiled and began stretching. "I've never seen anyone above six-five… then you come along, even your fellow humans are shorter than you. What's your secret?"

"Ate her greens, maybe," Falco chuckled while turning off the treadmill, panting lightly.

"Years of vigorous training, exercise and routine," Samus quietly spoke, eyes blankly staring at the lynx next to her. "That, and my genes were modified when I was three to help me adapt on Planet Zebes."

"Your… genes were modified?" I looked over to the huntress and her endless weightlifting. Her green eyes shifted to me for but a moment, before looking down again. "Was that… painful, luv? You were only a small girl…"

"I don't remember the process," Samus shrugged. "Like you said, I was only a small girl."

"Bloody 'ell…" I shuddered. "And… that's why you're so big… What was Zebes like?"

"A barren planet, ever changing due to its Urthic Core," The human explained, closing her eyes and looking up. "The surface is mostly wastes, with the occasional body of water here and there where plant life thrives. However, the rough conditions even move down into the subterranean. The planet has a dense system of different underground areas, including the vegetation rich Brinstar, the burning sea of Norfair and the submerged cave Maridia… to most species, Zebes was certain death. But to the Chozo, Zebesians and the native fauna and flora… it was home."

"An… underground jungle?" Miyu tilted her head, budging up as Falco sat by her. "How is that possible? Don't plants like… need sunlight?"

"I'm not sure," Samus shrugged. "I never understood the planet despite living there for sixteen years."

"Jeez, and I thought Papetoon was odd," Falco rubbed his beak.

"Genetically enhanced… comes from a hostile environment…" Miyu looked at the ground for a moment with tightened blue eyes. "Duuude… that's so cool!"

She quickly stood up and faced Samus, eyes practically sparkling. She clenched her hands into tight fists in front of her chest.

"Samus! Arm wrestle with me!" Miyu grinned from ear to ear. "You're a strong gal! I wanna see it in action!"

"You sure?" Falco said, his beak turning into a big smile. "You're confident, I'll give you that much."

"Miyu…" my ears drooped, even more than they usually did.

"I don't see why not," Samus shrugged and put her weight down. "That table over there will do."

She stood, almost immediately towering over poor Miyu. But even then, the lynx thought not to back down or falter. Dreamy… or overconfident. One of the two. Miyu's grin only widened as she followed Samus over to a nearby table, letting Falco grab two foldable chairs for the two women.

"Alright, girls," Falco smiled, watching the two sit face to face from each other. "Get ready."

Miyu eagerly put her right elbow on the table, grinning widely as Samus faced her. The two women met hands, the lynx's paw seeming petite and delicate within the right hand of the huntress.

"Who're your bets on?" Falco joined my side and crossed his arms, quickly getting a bottle of water. "Five bucks says Samus."

I put my hand on my hip and tapped the ground with my foot, tail swishing from side to side. Samus was bulking and had bigger muscles than Miyu, she had the advantage… but…

"Miyu," I responded, staring at my lynx counterpart. "Five dollars say she wins."

"Heh, confident in your other half, eh?"

"Hmph, I have faith in her," I smiled and held my hands behind my back. "She's strong in all the wrong places~"

"Heh," Falco smirked. "That's a good trait. Alright girls, you two can start."

In but a moment, Samus and Miyu began exerting their strengths upon each other. Immediately, the lynx girl began panting and grunting under her breath, arm quaking from the force Samus was using. My friend grit her teeth and gripped the table, her claws scratching it slightly.

"Ngh, damnit…" Miyu grunted, gritting her teeth harder as her arm started giving way to Samus' strength. And yet, she continued to smile, albeit strenuously. "You're strong…"

Despite her best efforts, the lynx could barely hold Samus back, instead, watching in horror as the human began pushing her hand towards the table.

"I believe in you, Miyu,"

I whispered under my breath. Not that she noticed. Nor did Falco. But Samus looked at me from the corner of her eye. Such brief distraction caused Miyu to quickly start pushing Samus' arm back with all her might.

Miyu held her breath, pushing Samus's arm as hard as she could. I could practically smell the adrenaline coming off the lynx. Even despite her efforts, some of her attention… she looked at me from the corner of her vision too, albeit flicking between Samus and I.

The orange feline dug her claws into the table, standing up ever so slightly. Even Samus' eyes widened ever so slightly. Miyu's butt failed to touch the chair as she stood. My heart thumped as the lynx pushed the human's hand back, almost to the table. Samus definitely defended herself, but, in the end, the sheer force and willpower Miyu exerted was too great.

In a moment, Samus' hand touched the table, followed by overwhelming silence. Other than the heavy grunts and pants from the feline. Sweat practically dripped from her fur. She breathed in and out, chest rapidly rising and falling.

Silence hung over the four of us for a moment as we all contemplated the turn of events. Miyu just stared distantly at Samus and her own hand, her eyes wide in shock.

"Welp," Falco shrugged. "Guess I'm down five bucks…"

"Good work, Miyu," Samus smiled as the two girls locked their free hands and shook them. "Your strength and determination are admirable. You're fierce."

"Heh, t-thanks…" Miyu blushed and looked away from Samus, seemingly taken aback by her victory. "I dunno how I did it…"

"The sheer drive to win has pushed some of the greatest warriors to their successes," Samus smiled subtly and gave an affirming nod to Miyu, wearing an expression not of defeat or anger, but one of pride and joy. "There's a spark in you, Miyu. You remind me of myself… well… and someone was rooting for your success."

Samus looked straight at me. Almost immediately, my face flushed. How did she hear me that well?!

Miyu also looked at me, a slight blush on her face too. We stared at each other for a slight moment, blushing like… well… girls.

Our eyes were locked only for a moment before we looked away with burning faces. We were both girls, but… why did I feel so embarrassed…?

"You were 'rootin for me…?" Miyu tilted her head. "Even with the disadvantage?"

"W-well, yeah," I smiled sweetly and scratched my bare paws on the floor. "I believe in you, Miyu, above all."

This seemed to spark something in the cat. She quickly stood up and stepped towards me, wrapping her strong arms around my waist. In but a moment, she picked me up off my feet and spun me around in a tight hug. I began screaming as she laughed happily.

Eventually as she stopped spinning, I allowed myself to wrap my arms around her neck, cuddling into her slightly. From over the lynx's shoulder, I saw the human staring at us, her face a mixture of subdued happiness and embarrassment.

I then looked up at Miyu, my arms around her neck, her arms around my waist. She just smiled at me sweetly. I returned the expression.

"Uh girls," Falco cleared his throat, blushing slightly, staring at the floor. "As cute as you two are, that stuff is best kept in private…"

"I-er…" I blushed and tried my best to maintain eye contact with him… failing miserably in the meantime. "Yes sir…"

"Well, I'd say that was productive," Samus shrugged while standing up and cracking her neck. "I doubt you two want to wrestle me."

Her eyes were deadpan as she stared at Falco and I, barely acknowledging that Miyu and I were still in a loving embrace.

"I think I've exercised enough," the huntress said, shaking her head, emerald eyes staring blankly into space. "I need to… think about things."

"Want me to come with you?" Falco stepped forward, standing by his much larger friend.

"...no thanks, this is… personal…" Samus grimaced and turned to the door. "You three can continue exercising."

"Hmm, I—" Falco was interrupted by his communicator flashing. He quickly picked it up and pressed a button. "Falco here."

"Falco, we need you on the bridge," Fox said from across the ship. "The Galactic Federation needs to see your condition, just to see if your dna has been damaged by the Phazum… er, Phazon attacks Dark Samus used on you."

"Quite so," Peppy added. "Those humans say Dark Samus has some wicked telekinetic power at her disposal! We don't want her controlling you with that Phazon!"

Both Falco and Samus shuddered at the mention of the human's dark doppelganger.

"Right, on my way," Falco nodded and put the communicator in his pocket, turning to us as Samus left the room. "Looks like it's just you girls in here."

He turned to the door and looked back to us, a smirk on his beak.

"Don't have too much fun in here, girls," He gave us a sultry grin. "Noise travels through the vents well."

Almost immediately, I broke off from Miyu and held my ears, cheeks utterly burning.

"I-I… you cheeky bugger!" I hissed, unable to control my blush.

"We'll be responsible," Miyu grinned and waved him off. "Won't we?"

"B-bloody hell…" I sighed at Falco and Miyu chuckled. We were a family…

A very obnoxious one.

"He totally has the hots for Samus," Miyu whispered and smirked.

"Wot?!"

Krystal

I frowned, sat cross legged on my bed. My head thumped with telepathic powers I hadn't yet experienced. My mind pulsed with blue haze. Even when I opened my eyes, my vision had a blue tint. Something was… different… wrong…

My mind could barely focus. All that was in my head was… somewhere familiar. I felt… rain on my bare fur, heavy wind freezing to the bone, the feeling of scales on my hands and feet. So many familiar sensations. The last time I felt such things…

Dinosaur Planet…?

Why were my powers guiding me to—

Breaking me out of my trance was a light tapping on the door.

"Come in!"

I shouted, the visions somewhat lessening their assault. I sat up on my bed and started playing with the beads in my hair, watching as the door opened. I almost made myself appealing for Fox like I usually would, but practically fell off my bed when in the doorframe was the large bounty huntress, clad in her blue jumpsuit.

"Krystal," Samus spoke, voice barely a whisper. "Can we speak? In private…?"

"Oh? Of course," I sat up again and brushed my blue fur back into place, watching on as Samus shut the door and sat next to me, wistfully staring out the window. She stared at Fortuna for a moment and then looked at me. "Are you alright?"

"It's just," she held her chin and returned her gaze to the window. "The symbols on your body… I've been thinking about them. I've seen them before…"

My, she was… forward.

"You've never been to Lylat, though," I frowned, edging closer to the hunter. "Have you?"

She then looked at me from the corner of her eye.

"Negative, this sector of the galaxy is as out of the way as the Alimbic Cluster is, and yet," She looked at me with a gaze full of curiosity, eyes focusing on the tattoos upon my hips and biceps. "I've seen these exact symbols in Chozo literature."

"Impossible," I frowned. "The cernians were a reclusive species… before the calamity."

Samus quietly showed me her own personal datapad, built into the left hand of her jumpsuit. From the violet circle upon the top of her paw, a similarly coloured hologram of ancient lores and scriptures which she then began to navigate.

"But yet, my people, the Chozo apparently knew of them," she showed me several hieroglyphs of her people. And with it, the very same spiral symbol upon my hips was displayed in her lore. "I've been curious since seeing your tattoos in the locker room."

I was frozen, staring at the familiar symbol, one I had long since missed, my people. For all 23 years of my life, I had always imagined that the lore, the Cernians and our culture died with me… but this warrior of the Chozo knew something about me.

"What… what did your people say about mine…?" I asked, edging even closer, eyes widening significantly.

"This log goes back by thousands of years," Samus responded, bringing up more hieroglyphs of Chozo language. "The farlanders, we called you, a mystical, vulpine race… info is scarce, though, I didn't take all the logs and lore from the Zebes Archives during my Zero Mission."

"... were our races in contact with each other?" I looked down to my paws. "Maybe I should—"

Again, my vision flashed blue, causing me to flinch and hold my head in pain as the planet I met Fox on appeared in my mind. Samus quickly looked at me with wide eyes, quickly placing both hands on my shoulders.

"Krystal? Are you—?"

"Dinosaur Planet…" I grunted. "Something is…"

From the visions, I saw from the perspective of my triceratops friend, Tricky, writhing in agony with his leg steaming.

"It's under attack…" I mumbled, looking up to Samus, gasping when her eyes were wide and flashing the same blue as my own psychic, likely from her touching me. "Can you see it, too?"

She didn't respond, only nodding in confirmation.

The vision continued on, Tricky gasping in and out due to the immense pain he was in. The planet seemed to be in a heavy storm, dark and intense. From the darkness, hidden amongst the foliage was a single, bright red eye. It zoned in on my friend, some kind of crimson beam charging, aimed directly at him. I held my breath. Even the spirits of the Krozoa were calling for help.

"Get out of there…" I muttered, trying to warm him across the system.

However, before the attacker's beam could hit Tricky, a wall of ice quickly shielded him, shattering upon the laser. From the jungle, the foe made angered clicking and hissing noises, retreating as sharp, purple beams began firing upon its position. The counter-attacker shouted in an unknown tongue and tried chasing the first one. All I saw in the darkness was a tall, slender and oddly smooth humanoid shadow making chase.

"I have to get to that planet", I stood up quickly, immediately looking for my staff and traditional armour. "My friends are in danger…"

Samus stood up by my side.

"I'm coming with you," she bluntly said, eyes tightening. "I recognise that weaponry, you need protection from them."

"What about the mission—?"

"The rest can handle this," She whispered, her suit materialising over her from seemingly thin air, her visor lit a sharp neon blue. "I'm joining you, I want to know more about your people too."

"I'll tell Fox, he'll probably want to come too, but…" I bit my lip. "He needs to stay here in the war."

"Indeed," She walked to the door, substantially more intimidating in armour. "I'll get my ship ready. Just say when you need to move out."

She nodded and left the room.

I sighed and opened my wardrobe, staring at my people's traditional clothes, the slightly revealing armour I wore when investigating that distress call from dinosaur planet all those years ago. With a justified look, I grabbed my clothes, ready to set off again.

Back to Dinosaur Planet.

Felix Farley

Macbeth… what a miserable planet. I sighed and stared up at the grey skies above, then to the endless grey ground below, smoke stinging at my nostrils as I stood atop a catwalk overlooking one of this arms factory's many courtyards. Was feeling particularly miserable since that embarrassment on Katina, my first mission since signing up with the Venom Remnant. The things I did for money and answers…

"Felix, why do you mope?" a fellow 'Star Wolf' asked, emerging from a nearby doorway. Weavel, the swordsman. Eugh. The green cyborg looked down at me as he joined me. I frowned at the mechanical noises that emanated whenever Weavel moved his joints. Needed some oil. "Our Wolfen are fully repaired and with a shiny new paint job."

"...Moping…?" I stared at the tall robotic pirate with blank eyes, tightening my forehead bandanna. "It's not moping. I'm debating on whether or not this paycheck is worth it, hmph."

"Well, you need to find a purpose beyond just the paycheck. I'm here for revenge on Samus," The swordsman shrugged. He then pointed at one of the reptilian pirates. "I used to be one of them, you know. Until she happened to me. I want to destroy her."

"...I don't have revenge to take on anybody in Star Fox," was all I could respond with, looking down at the courtyard.

"Hmm, well, in that case, I have some news for you," Weavel laughed and pulled out a datapad, tapping on the screen until a picture of a girl came up. "I've been doing my research on their organisation ever since joining Star Wolf, and I've found some juicy information that you might be interested in. Do you know this girl, their newest recruit?"

"Lemme see, I doubt—" I froze when my eyes landed on her social media picture. A spaniel, white as snow, eyes as blue and vibrant as the Cornerian summer sky. All she was missing to be my exact copy were the brown spots I had on my face and ear. She smiled at the camera with a giddy look in her eye. Even her mouth and smile looked like mine...and by extension...him. "Fay Isabella Farley, age twenty"

My grasp on the datapad tightened as I scrolled through her page, looking at all the happy pictures she had posted with her friends and herself. No sign of a father anywhere on the page. Whatever slight relief I had at that fact quickly was replaced with sheer rage. Another child he fucked over by having. No doubt he deceived that poor woman by hiding his adultery and myself.

"I detect a twinge of… anger in you," Weavel looked down, his bright yellow visor being the brightest thing in this dreary industrial waste. "You know something about her, don't you?"

"Not personally, but…" I gulped, staring intently at my sister's photo. Her eyes, her mouth and nose… she was simply me. "She's definitely family…"

"Cousin, sister… what be she?" The cyborg tilted his head, metallic joints audibly moving. "You and she look one in the same.

"..." I grimaced and stared into this happy dog's eyes, envy welling up in my stomach. Everything from her smile to the pristine bow she wore on the back of her head. She clearly lived a privileged and cushy life. "Sister… half sister."

"Sister from another mister?" He looked off into the distance. "Or…?"

"..Same dad," I responded and sighed. "Her resemblance to him is uncanny…"

"I suppose your parents didn't have the best relationship, hm?"

"As far as I'm concerned, I have no parents," I scowled and eyed up the apes and space pirates down below. "Conman and a prostitute, sounds like a bad tv show. Dad was never around. Mom abandoned me at an orphanage when I was just a pup."

Weavel was silent for a moment before letting out a noise between a laugh and a grunt. He then looked down at me, mechanical sounds as his head turned.

"Sounds not dissimilar to how us pirates raise our young," he said, voice somewhat cocky and yet, equally pained. "I was but four Zebesian cycles old when my parents dumped me at the war academy. That's why I'm such a fine example~"

He put his hand to his chest, his helmet's plume blowing in the smoggy winds of this miserable rock.

"Well, that and my cybernetic enhancements," he opened and closed his hand, his own ego dripping like the lubricants on his metallic joints. "But, this girl. What do you make of her, can we get anything interesting from her if we say… capture her?"

"Probably," I gruffed and tapped my foot on the ground. "She's a Star Fox, they're the only capable- and funded fighters of Corneria, she's bound to know something or two. I can get it out of her if captured."

"Interrogating your own kin…?" Weavel looked to me, then to the sky. "My, you'd make a fine Space Pirate. For a bounty hunter, I quite like you."

"Got a problem with hunters?"

"Believe me, I've met some truly despicable ones in my time," He then clenched his fist. "Samus coming to mind."

The orange huntress Star Fox seemed to rely on for damage. She had quite the reputation from what I had heard.

"Pray tell, Felix, ever heard of the Kriken Empire?" He asked.

"Vaguely heard of them in space bars," I shrugged, still slowly processing the fact I had a little sister. "You run into them?"

"Met a particularly vile Kriken Bounty Hunter," Weavel would have grimaced, if he still had a face. "Hmph, well, comparatively speaking, I much prefer your company to that degenerate's."

"Should I be grateful?" I raised my brow and faced the cyborg.

"Depends," He laughed. "But, what should we do with the girl should we capture her? Being your sister."

I looked down to the data pad, eyes scanning her. Conflicting emotions welled up in my chest. I almost felt bad for her, she was my father's daughter, she and I shared the same genes, same blood. I didn't want her to be my foe, and yet, we were here. I sighed and loosened my grip, handing the datapad back to my comrade.

"Interrogate, don't torture," I nodded. "And that's final."

"I see," Weavel nodded.

"You ladies done?" a voice called from behind. Both me and the cyborg looked behind us. Approaching from the rear were Wolf and Panther, both smiling. "We need to get our ships ready. Andrew wants us at Sargasso, Star Fox and their friends are getting close there."

"Let's not get shot down this time…" Panther sighed, twirling a rose around in his paw. Dethorned, of course. "And things will go… fabulously~"

"Hopefully more of the mercs there are willing to work with us," Weavel walked over to the duo. "Those Federation fiends are encroaching rapidly."

"Let's just hope they don't make it here," I said, joining my comrades as we started heading to the hangars. Any excuse to get off this planet. "We need a good pushback in this damn war."

"Hmph," Wolf gruffed. "We'll get back on our damn feet, Star Wolf always does."

"Finest flyers this side of Lylat," Panther purred.

"Vengeance will guide us!" Weavel laughed.

"Yeah, yeah," I nodded and shrugged, tightening my bandanna. "Let's just get the job done."
