The night's beautiful, he remarked as they waltzed the empty ballroom together. She laughs, taking a slow breath; as her hand slowly tightens on his shoulder.

"It's your fault." She croaked, ichor dripped down his dark blue sleeve. She glared at him, her eyes in a black and red abyss. He tried letting go, but her nails dug deeper.

"You should've listened to me." She spoke, a wet crackling sound filled his ears

Ozpin sat up, grabbing his chest, rubbing a scar that ran across his torso. The moon hung in the air. Its shards scattered across the sky,

He felt a warm liquid and flicked on his lamp. On his hand, red blood with flakes of gold, he dragged his hand across his chest. His eyes weren't playing tricks on him. He grabbed his cane and limped to the bathroom to see his scar bleeding. Ozpin groaned; if his wound, was bleeding then hers was too. He sat on the tub wall, taking his time wiping the blood from his chest.

He sat in the bathroom for hours, going through most of his towels until the bleeding stopped. Looking at the mess, he calmly started to scoop the bloodied towels up. Upon leaving the headmaster suite with a basket of bloody towels covered with dirty clothes covering bloody towels, he made his way to the teacher's laundry area. As he poured the laundry into the washing machine, his chest tightened. A teacher entered the room, whistling as he walked past Ozpin. He kept his eyes on the washing machine, forcing himself to stand despite the tightening feeling in his chest.

"Professor," Ann green noticed him. She removed her headphones; she held the spot for the youngest professor at the academy.

"Don't worry, please. I'm fine." He said, starting his clothes and leaving limping laboriously on his cane. She had a pair of wings on her back that twitched.

Ruby sat on her bed wearing her pajamas while re-reading the paper Ozpin had given her, a hand invitation to attend Beacon Academy two years early. It made her nervous, knowing she would be the youngest and have to make new friends. Ruby looked at her scroll, nothing from Muriel. She had sent the news footage from the night she fought against the infamous Roman Torchwick and his mysterious lady in red. She turned onto her side, looking at her weapon crescent rose.

Ruby's door creaks open to black and white corgi peaks in; he toddles closer, using a set of steps to climb onto the bed.

"Hello, Zewi." Ruby lifts the corgi. She also noticed

Yang chuckled, deleting the last set of angry texts from Junior about the bar fight. She sat down, closing her scroll; Junior's bar was her only lead.

She looked on her dresser, a photo of her, Ruby, Summer, and Tai. All of them were on a boat smiling at the camera except for Ruby. A simple trip to the coast of Patch, Ruby's first time on a sailboat, and she hated it. It was the last trip involving all of them. She lays across her bed, sitting the picture aside, not realizing she's dozing off.

Summer sat on the edge of the sailboat, Yang beside her watching the water ripple with Summer.

"You know, my next mission might be my last." She says out of the blue. Yang was young, a high chance she would never remember the conversation.

Yang tilts her head. "We might defeat her,"

Yang sits up, looking out her window. Bits of the shattered moon peeked from behind her curtains and a red portal. She sits up, rolling her neck and wiping drool from her mouth. The photo was back on her dresser and the door slightly cracked.

A black chest sat near the door with her name in gold. She put her code in, unlocking the case. Ember Celica, her dual-range gauntlets, putting them on her wrist.

Yang walked outside, sitting on the bench watching her behind a white mask.

"What do you want," Yang says, balling her fist. The gauntlets click into place, loading a shell into the chamber.

The woman tilts her head, "It's about the girl you call sister."

Yang's eyes turn red, "what about Ruby."

"Well, someone wants 'Ruby' back, and they're about the raise hell for her." She says, looking beside her daughter. The living room lights are on. She turns to slash a portal into existence, "either heed my warning or fight a fight your bound to lose."

"Raven, What are you doing here." Taiyang held a bag of takeout.

"Just warning our child." She says, stepping through her portal.

They walk back inside; Ruby sat on the counter, attempting to unlock the cookie jar.

"You'll spoil your dinner." Taiyang scolded, putting the stuff on the table.

Yang said nothing as Ruby told Taiyang about the huntress she met. She poked at her food. It had been a week since the dusk till dawn incident. Taiyang had just gotten back from a huntsmen mission. He brought ruby back a statue of a nevermore.

She waited until after dinner; Ruby was in the shower. Taiyang sat in his room, putting his weapon dragonfly away.

"dad, is ruby my sister?"

Taiyang drops the crate, barely missing his foot. He looks at her. "Unquestionably," He responds.

"Raven said someone wants her back." Yang rubs her arm.

"Your mom's just saying stuff." He responds. Yang heads to her room, sitting her gauntlets on her dresser.

Yang remembered it vividly. The night Ruby came home, Summer had been gone a week. It was storming outside; She hid underneath her father while covering her ears.

The door opened, and summer limped inside, holding something in a purple and black blanket. A symbol was on it, but Summer covered it with her hand. Summer stood supported by Qrow; he held his side. Trying to keep his bloodied hand away from her line of sight, Taiyang jumped up she stayed on the couch. Raven picked her up, taking her in the back. When Raven let her out of the room, she met Ruby for the first time. The black and purple blanket is now gone.

"Yang, this is Ruby, your little sister." Summer smiles. She's the only one smiling. Raven turned away, leaving the house despite the thunderstorm.
