When Shinji and Rei walk into the classroom they see their friends call them over.

As they sat down, Hikari asked, "So how was the trip?"

"Well the second children is lively to say the least, but she's also a little rude and mean. The fourth children is actually really nice, and pretty snarky, " Shinji answered.

He then continued to talk, "I didn't have a lot of time to relax since some Angels attacked the ships."

"Yeah and we got to see the captain of the pilots actually fight an Angel!" Kensuke added, interrupting the 3rd child.

The three stooges continued to talk about the trip while Hikari and Rei listened to them. Finally, Toji spoke up and said, "I feel bad for you two. You have to work with that redhead asshole."

"Toji! Don't talk about people like that behind their back!" Hikari warned.

"Alright alright I won't. But I am right and I have Shinman and Kensuke as my witnesses," Suzahara debated.

"Yeah, she actually was a little mean. At least we don't have to see her anymore," the blonde boy added on

The bell rang and everyone got to their seat, Hikari did her usual procedures, the teacher walked in, and stood at his desk and announced, "We have 2 new students with us today."

Two figures walked in, one a short redhead girl and the other a tall, brown-haired girl. As the girl wrote their names on the board, Toji and Kensuke's eyes widen. The redheaded girl turned around and said, "My name is Asuka Langley Soryu," and the tall girl turned too and said, "And my name is Mari Illustrious Makinami."

Toji and Kensuke threw up a little in their mouths.

Song-Asuka Strikes!, Shiro Sagisu

A week has passed since Asuka and Mari's arrival in Tokyo-3. Both have gotten used to all the attention. Asuka in particular loves the attention she gets. One day while talking to school, the pair catches up with Shinji while he's going to lunch.

"Guten Morgen Shinji-kun," Asuka greeted in a cheerful voice.

"Good morning…" Shinji says.

"Morning puppy-kun," Mari greets in a calm and seductive voice.

Shinji stops and turns to Mari with a puzzled look on his face, "What did you just call me?"

"Don't mind four-eyes. She gives those kinds of nicknames to everyone," Asuka explained.

"You're just mad because your nickname is princess," Mari added.

"SHUT UP!" Asuka yells. "Anyways where's the first?"

Shinji turns and points at a blue haired girl, "She's down there."

Asuka looks at her and runs down the stairs without saying thank you. Mari goes to his side and says, "Thanks puppy-kun," and walks down the stairs.

Rei is reading a book when a shadow comes over her. She looks up to find the second children standing over her. The albino girl gets up and walks over to Asuka.

"So you're the first children and the pilot of the prototype, Rei Ayanami. Let's be friends!" Asuka exclaimed.

Rei looked her in the eyes and coldly said, "I would never want to be friends with you,"

Rei walked away from a stunned Crowd of people over to Shinji. As they were about to start talking a siren filled the air. An Angel had arrived in Tokyo-3 once more.

Song-A Step Forward Into Terror, Shiro Sagisu

"Tokyo-3's intercept system was badly damaged in the last attack. We're only back up to 26% capacity. In actual combat, that's effectively zero. On top of that, Unit 01 still has not finished repairs from the last battle and will need to stay out of combat until then. For that reason, we're going to hit it just before it comes ashore this time. Unit 00 and Unit 02 will engage the target in turns in close-quarters combat," Misato tells the 1st and 2nd children.

Asuka pouts and says, "How lame. This is my debut battle in Japan, and they won't let me handle it on my own."

A communication screen pops up and Rei says, "Misato is our operations manager and we are supposed to follow her orders."

Asuka becomes quite irritated at this statement.

The Evangelions are released from the jets and land on the beach

"Two against one doesn't seem that fair," Asuka comments,

"All's fair in war Asuka," Blitz retorts, flashing on a communication screen

"And why aren't you out here helping us!?" Asuka argued.

"Because you need experience fighting the angels. What happens if I'm incapacitated, or worse?" Blitz argues back.

Asuka fell silent and closed the screen.

The Angel splashed out of the water and started walking towards the shore. The two Evas stood straight upwards.

"Commence attack!" Misato shouted.

"I'll go first, then! Cover me!" Asuka yells, running towards the Angel.

"Wait, pilot Soryu," Rei cautioned. But it was already too late.

Asuka jumped at the angel and sliced it down in the middle, killing it. Or so she thought.

"See, that's how you kill an Angel!" Asuka boasted.

Rei just waited for what happened next. The angel parts shed their skin and split into two.

"Oh no," Rei murmured.

"THOSE CHEATERS!" Misato roared.

"Today, at 10:58:15 AM, Unit 00 was attacked by Target Alpha, which separated from the target submerged 2 km off Suruga Bay. At the same time, plus 20 seconds, Unit 02 was halted by Target Beta," Maya states, "This is a comment from the director of project E."

"This is pathetic."

Asuka stands up and turns to yell at Rei "This is all your fault! You totally

screwed up my debut battle!"

Rei was fed up with Asuka at this point. She wasn't going to take this lying down. So Rei gets up yells, "WELL MAYBE IF YOU WEREN'T SUCH AN INCOMPENTENT PILOT AND TRIED ANALYZING THE ANGEL, WE WOULDN'T BE IN THIS MESS!"

A shocked silence fills the room. Nobody expected Rei of all people to lose her temper.

Fuyutsuki clears his throat and said, "Both of you were incompetent and the reason this happened. I want you to answer this question. What is your job?"

The 2nd looks up to the subcommander and in a smartass tone answers, "To pilot the Evangelion."

The 1st calms down and coldly answers, "To defeat the angel."

Fuyutsuki smiles and says. "You're right, 1st child. NERV does not exist to make grotesque displays like this. Therefore, you two must cooperate."

Asuka grew angry and argued, "Why should we?!"

"Because if you don't, then we'll revoke your rights as a pilot," The subcommander threatened.

Fuyutsuki exits calmly, Asuka storms out to the locker room, Rei walks out without saying anything, and Kaji and Maya sit in the dark.

"So are you free tonight?" Kaji questions.

Maya walks out of the room without saying a word and leaves Kaji alone.

Misato and Blitz sat inside their office doing paperwork and trying to find a way to take down the Angel. That's when the door opens, and Ritsuko walks in.

"Here are the internal protests, damage reports, a bill from the UN, and here you have complaints from the PR department as well." The bottle blonde told the two while giving them the paperwork

"God this is so much, at least I have you for company," Misato complains, turning to Blitz.

Blitz gets up and turns to the doctor, "Well, about that. I actually need to go do something, so sadly you're on your own."

Misato looked offended and got up, "Wait, you're just leaving me?!"

"Sorry, I would love to sign paperwork all day, but I need to get the pilots" The captain sighed.

And Blitz walked out, leaving the two women to converse.

Shinji finally got to Misato's house and tried unlocking the door. But the door was already unlocked which made him worry.

/Did Penpen get out again? Or what if someone got in and robbed us? No section 2 would notice. What-if they took out section 2?/

So with extreme caution, Shinji opened the door. He didn't see anything broken but saw plenty of boxes scattered across the floor.

/Did someone move in with us?/

Shinji at this point was walking towards his room. When he opened the door he saw boxes on boxes of things cluttered around his room.

Confused, Shinji shouts, "HUH?"

"Oh hey, Shinji is home," a familiar voice exclaims.

The third child heard this coming from the living room. Where he runs into it to see a horrifying sight. Mari and Blitz were sitting on the couch wearing casual clothes. But more importantly, Asuka and Rei have matching clothes on and are dancing together.

Too shocked to even process this image, Shinji passes out. Everyone stops what they're doing and looks at him in silence. Then Asuka speaks up, "What a weirdo."

When he eventually got up Shinji was in his bead with Blitz right by him in a chair.

Still a little dazed, Shinji asked, "What happened?"

"You passed out, probably from stress," Blitz tells the child

"Wait, why are all these boxes here?"

Blitz gets up and starts to explain the plan, "If you want to know. Me, Rei, Asuka, and Mari are all moving in with you. It would be inefficient to have the pilots scattered around Tokyo-3. And the plan to stop the Angel needed Rei and Asuka to live together. Plus, Misato had like, 2 more rooms available, so Mari and I are going to take those for now."

Now confused, Shinji asked the man, "Wait, what's the plan?"

Blitz grew a wide smile on his face and answered, "We're going to defeat the Angel through SYNCHRONIZATION DANCING!"

Song- When I Find Peace of Mind, Shiro Sagisu

Three teenagers approach a house in the middle of Tokyo-3. Two boys and a girl.

"Oh, hey class rep. Are you here to ask where Asuka and Rei are?" Toji asked.

Hikari nodded and said, "Yeah. Are you here to see Shinji?"

Toji and Kensuke nodded. When they got to the door, Aida rang it, and they were greeted by a tall man with a long braided ponytail going down to the middle of his back, looking down at them.

Extremely confused, Suzahara said "Wait, you live here now?"

Blitz smirked, "Yeah it's a long story, come in."

The children came in and into the living room to see Mari and Shinji on the couch watching Asuka and Rei dance on 2 DDR pads hooked to a machine. The machine made a sound and the two stopped.

"WHY ARE YOU GOING SO SLOW 1ST? IT'S ALMOST LIKE YOU'RE SLOW IN THE HEAD," the redheaded German yelled, pissed off at the girl beside her.

Rei just got into position and mumbled, "Let's just get this over with."

The group of kids just stared at the horror they looked at. Their friends were wearing matching clothes and playing DDR. Toji finally spoke up.

"What in the actual fuck?"

They looked up to see their friends and fell down at the same time. Both with faces as red as a strawberry, stammered to their friends at the same time, "IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!"

Hikari just rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, I was just here to give you guys your homework."

Some time passed, and everyone is on the couch watching the pair dance. A buzz is heard and the pair stop.

Asuka, frustrated at making no progress, barked, "You're too slow, wonder girl. You need to speed up and keep up with me."

Before the turquoise haired girl can make her rebuke, Blitz interrupts.

"Mari, go and switch places with Asuka," The man orders.

"Alright," and the two switch places from mat to couch and vice versa

Asuka smirked and thought to herself, /She won't even get half wa-/

Her train of thought is cut off when she sees that the brunette and bluenette are both in perfect synchronization. Both covering for each other's mistakes with their advantages. It's almost like magic with how synchronized they are.

When the song ends, the machine screen reads 100%. Blitz turns to Asuka and says, "Now you know what could happen to you. You could be replaced at any time by someone else, and it wouldn't matter. In fact, it would probably benefit us with how shitty of a team player you are. Do you want that to happen? You ending up in Germany back at your father's place, being constantly neglected by him? Or worse, all alone in some locked up house with no one to even comfort you. No? Then I suggest you start acting like you want to be a pilot before I take that right away from you."

The man said it in a cold and stern voice. Everyone is shocked at how cold someone as cheerful and playful as Blitz can be. It felt like he was another person entirely. Shinji and Rei only know 1 person who can be this rigid, cruel, and sharp, and that was the commander. Now they know 2 people.

After about 10 minutes of complete silence Asuka got up and pushed Mari off the mat ready to start again. Mari dusted herself off and sat right next to her guardian. But now when she leaned on him he felt freezing, Almost like his body temperature had dropped. She was a little too scared to ask why.

For the next hour everyone sat in silence too stunned to talk. The 2A group left after 20 minutes and after 20 more everyone except Blitz, Rei, and Asuka went to their respective rooms. And after 5 hours everyone else called it a night.

Song- Hedgehog's dilemma, Shiro Sagisu

T'was the night before the Angel reawakened. Rei had just gotten out of the bathroom and walked to her room with Asuka. When she got there, she laid down right by the blue eyed girl and tried going to sleep, to no avail. So instead, she tried striking up a conversation with the redhead.

"Soryu, can I ask you a question?" Rei whispered quietly.

Asuka flipped onto her back and said, "Yeah, sure Ayanami."

"Do you like me?" The albino murmured.

It was a question that was out of the blue. Fortunately, Soryu was used to these questions at this point with all of the time she spent with Rei. But Asuka didn't know how to answer this question. She never thought about whether she liked Rei or not. She just thought about keeping her job. But she had to answer the question.

So Soryu answered with, "I think you're fine in my book, wonder girl."

Rei was fine with this. "Thank you," She said and rolled over.

Asuka blushed a little and babbled, "Y-you're welcome," and rolled over too.

"Today's the day!" Blitz announced on the upper deck to the pilots, "If you screw up, you know I have to clean up your mess."

"We know," both Rei and Asuka answered.

"Well now that you know we can get this show on the road. EVA LAUNCH!"

Song- Both of You, Dance Like You Want to Win!, Shiro Sagisu

Units 00 and 02 were rocketed out of the catapult and into the sky. They both got spears, spun in a ball, and threw them down onto the Angel.

When they landed, Unit 00 got a pallet rifle, and shot the orange half while running. Unit 02 had a positron rifle and fired at the grey half.

The two halves regain composure and start shooting lasers at the now paired up Eva. The Evas flipped all the way to a shield and start shooting at the halves with two pallet rifles.

The Angels dodge and slash down the barrier, both Evas getting out of the way. That's when the Tokyo-3 intercept system fires everything it has at the Angels to distract them.

Finally, both Evas run to the halves, uppercut and axe kick them, merging them together. Rei and Asuka both smile at each other through the comms. Then the Evas jump into the air, everyone looking at them in amazement. Both unit 00 and 02 stick a leg out and crash straight into the Angel, skidding into a mountain, and an explosion happens. When the smoke clears, both Evas are standing next to each other, nothing remaining of the angel

Everyone shouts in joy, the plan worked, and they won. Another battle for humanity has just ended.

Didn't expect this one to be out this early did ya. Well this chapter was a lot more solidified then the last. So Asuka and Rei have kind of gotten to know each other a little more. How will this affect the story. Well you'll just have to find out.

NEXT EPISODE OF ICEBREAKERS. Nerv cleans up the mess that was done during the angel battle. Between these peaceful times Blitz explains how he's so strong. What will he unveil? Will others be able to get this power? And will we ever get another eva movie? Probably not but tune in next time for another episode of ICEBREAKERS. And there's going to be lots of fanservice.
