A young man walked through gray halls leading up to a door with his hands in pocket and humming a song. As he was about to open the door, 5 guards in suits ran up to him. Once they stopped in front of him, one guard stepped up from the rest and shouted, "Stop right there! We know you took out the guards leading up to the commander's office. But you won't get through us, we promise that."

The young man smiled sadistically and asked, "Is that true? Well, I'll hold you to your word right now."

The man held out his left hand and a katana materialized out of thin air. The guards pulled out multiple weapons ranging from bo-staffs, machine guns, handguns, and 2 katanas. One guard shot at the man with a machine gun and he sliced all of the bullets in half. Then he caught one bullet and chucked it back, hitting one guard in the head. Another guard rushed at him with a staff and he clashed with them. The man stabbed the staff and grabbed a guard by their legs. He spun the guard around and threw them into another guard, knocking both of the guards out. The short haired individual then got his katana, pulled it back, and thrusted it forward while lunging at another guard with a machine gun. The guard reacted by trying to shoot but was cut off by the intruder's katana getting shoved into their gun. The man then punched the guard in the gut, knocking them out. The intruder then put his attention on the last guard, who just dropped their katanas and ran away. "Man, nobody is giving me a challenge," He sighed.

Finally the young man kicked down the door, sending them flying into the back of the room. "Gendo Ikari. Boy do I ha-" He was cut off by a bullet to the mouth. The bullet made him throw his head back and made him stop dead in his tracks. But when the intruder's head came down, Gendo saw that he caught the bullet between his teeth.

The intruder spat the bullet out of his mouth and said, "Now that's not the way to treat your guest. Now that that's out of the way let me continue. I have the deal of a lifetime for you. "

Gendo's face didn't move an inch as he announced, "We at NERV don't make deals with people such as you."

The intruder just stood there and argued, "This one's different. This one can get your Yui out of Evangelion Unit 01"

And for a single moment, Gendo's cold exterior broke as his eyes widened.

As everyone cheered for the defeat of the angel, Blitz got up from his chair and walked away. But he was stopped by the operations director's captain.

"Hey, could we talk for a minute?" She asked.

"Sure," Blitz answers.

The two walk down to the vending machines and sit on the benches.

As Misato sits down, She asks Blitz, "Why did you yell at Asuka last week?"

The purple-eyed man sits down too and answers, "Asuka needed to be put in place. She needs to be told that she isn't the best. Her ego is massive, and it doesn't help that she has a superiority complex. Letting her just continue to boast and spit on the other pilots would diminish their morale and their mental states. Plus you know, she's pretty damn annoying."

"That is a good reason, but it still was pretty cruel of you to threaten Asuka with sending her back to Germany," The captain commented.

Blitz thinks for a moment and responds with, "It was a bit cruel. Is that all that you needed?"

"It was. Hey when did you frost your hair tips?" She asked.

Blitz eyes widened and he asked, "Wait, you said my hair was frosted?"

"Yeah it's still black but it has some white in it and on the tips. You sure you're not getting gray hairs?" Misato jokes.

Blitz shot up and ran away, leaving Misato alone. "Was it something I said?" She asked, only to be met with silence.

As soon as Blitz kicked open the bathroom door, he rushed to the mirror. When he looked to confirm that Misato wasn't joking, he started to tear up. Blitz then started crying, but they weren't tears of sadness. They were tears of joy.

"Finally," He mumbled through the sobs.

Song- When I find peace of mind, Shiro Sagisu

"We're home," Asuka announces to everyone in the house while her and Rei walk into the house.

They hear someone "Welcome back," from the living room. Rei walks into the kitchen to see Misato in her usual yellow shirt and Jorts attire, drinking beer. She also sees Shinji and Blitz of all people making a pizza. "Welcome home Rei," Blitz greets.

"I didn't know you cooked Blitz," Rei said, still surprised that Blitz was cooking.

Blitz looks at the bluenette and says, "Well there's a lot of things you don't know about me."

Blitz turns to Shinji and asks, "Do you mind opening the oven?"

"Sure," Shinji answers.

As soon as Shinji goes to open the oven, a fire comes out and almost gets him. Shinji jumps back in fear, and everyone puts their attention on the oven.

Song- The Beast, Shiro Sagisu

"What the hell?!" Misato slurred. She attempts to get out of her chair, but trips on Pen-Pen who's carrying the fire extinguisher. Pen-Pen attempts to put out the fire but can't do it because he doesn't have the strength to pull the lever on the extinguisher. Mari and Asuka soon come rushing in to see what's going on.

"What the fuck is happening?!" They both say in unison. What they see is total chaos. Smoke is all over the kitchen. Misato has a broken nose due to tripping over Pen-Pen. Shinji and Rei are helping the drunk get to the bathroom to mend her nose. And Blitz is just standing there, looking at the oven.

"Fine, I'll just do it myself," Sato grumbled. He put a hand up and shoved it forward. The 2nd and 4th children got blinded by something white coming out of his hand. When they came to, they saw the whole oven covered in ice.

Everyone immediately stopped what they were doing and looked at the oven and Blitz. They were dumbfounded at what they saw. Shinji and Rei dropped Misato and Pen-Pen dropped the fire extinguisher.

Shinji was the first to speak up and shout, "WHAT?"

Blitz looked at everyone and asked, "Why are you guys staring at me?" He quickly looked at the oven and realized, "OH. That's just something that happens."

Eventually everything settled down. Misato got her nose patched up, The pilots cleaned up the mess, and Blitz ordered Little Caesars.

"Why Little Caesars? That place is shit," A certain redhead nagged. Blitz just rolled his eyes and kept eating his food. As time passed, everyone sat in silence too scared to bring up what happened with the oven. Finally, someone brought up the elephant in the room

"So how did you do that?" Rei questioned, "How did you summon ice?"

Blitz was surprised. He didn't expect Rei, of all people, to be the person to bring up the incident. But regardless he still needed to answer the question. "Well, do you want the short or long version?" He asked.

"The long version," the first children answered.

Blitz nodded his head, cleared his throat, and began his long explanation. "It all starts with soul energy. Anything that's living has a soul. And with that comes soul energy, energy that's highly malleable and destructive."

Immediately the man was receiving questions left and right.

"Can we use it?"

"Why didn't you use it to kill the last angel?"

"How destructive?"

"Stop asking questions and let me finish!" the whitenette Roared.

Everyone on the spot stopped asking questions.

"As I was saying. This energy is hard to harness. It took me 10 years just to get to where I'm at right now. And I'm still not all that good at it." He continued

"So what can you do with a soul? Well it's pretty limited. Soul energy can be used as either your ability, or as raw power. Your soul's ability is something akin to a kekkei genkai from Naruto or a quirk in My Hero Academia. It's special to you or your family. These abilities can range from use to the elements, enhanced speed, timestop, or even control over animals."

"That sounds exactly like a shonen manga," Misato comments

"Well there are a couple of additional things. Your ability might be limited in what it can do. But that's where soul release comes in." Blitz adds on.

Asuka's eyebrows perk up, "Soul release?"

"Yes soul release. Soul release is a transformation that requires an immense amount of time to acquire. It takes about 5 years to get the transformation. But it's worth it. It multiples your strength 10-20 times and sometimes gives you a new ability. It's essentially super saiyan for a normal person," Blitz states.

"That's pretty much it. Other than god and demon energy, holy and satanic releases, and other soul abilities such as flying and the ability to manipulate souls to an extent that's it," The captain concludes

"Wow. That sounds a lot like zanpakutos and bankais from bleach," Asuka smugly comments.

Blitz gets flustered and shouts, "They're nothing alike!"

Shinji joins in and adds, "Yeah and it sounds like the god and satanic energy is a copy of the new god ki in dragon ball Z."

At this point Blitz is stammering to try and make a smart comeback, but is too flustered and angry to do so. So he just gets up and goes into his room. Soon everyone goes into their room to retire. Everyone but Mari who can't sleep.

Her anxiety is taking over. She can't take her head off of what Blitz said. But she needs to calm down. So she goes to the person that she trust the most.

As Blitz sat on his computer playing Final Fantasy 14, he heard a knock on his door. He took off his headphones and shouts, "Come in."

Mari opens the door and comes in with pajamas on.

"What's up four-eyes?" The black haired man asked.

The 4th children sat down on Blitz's bed and answered, "What are you?."

"Huh?!" He says, surprised that she was even asked that.

"I want to know what you are. Are you an angel, a monster, a human, what are you!?" Mari yelled, shaking violently and tearing up.

Blitz was pretty shaken too. He's never seen Mari this shaken in his 5 years of living with her. He doesn't know what to do, but that doesn't mean he won't try. The man comes to hug and embrace the child, and she starts crying softly in his arms.

"Mari, I'm Blitz Sato and that's all that should matter."

And for the next 10 minutes they hug.

This one was pretty short but gave us an answer on how Blitz functions and a little character moment for Mari. So why did Blitz cry over getting his powers back? Well, find out next time.

NEXT EPISODE OF ICEBREAKERS. A new angel is found and another battle for humanity this time, Blitz is joining in. Will he beat the angel? Or will he fail? And will we ever get an NGE remake? Probably not but tune in next time for another episode of ICEBREAKERS. And there's going to be lots of fanservice.
