At the rave's music station, as Kaa was blowing his bubblegum and pulling out a CD with his tail to check it, he heard someone knocking on the door.
"Huh?" He peeked out the door window, noticing Baloo partially hidden in the shadow of the dark hallway. Once the python opened the door, the bear whispered in his ears, making the snake look on stunned, before frowning at him. A note waved in front of his face changed his expression to a smirk. After looking around to make sure no one was seeing them, he grinned again as he snatched the cash before closing the door. Kaa scratched the side of his head as he tried to remember where he had put CD he was looking for. After blowing his bubble, he checked a filing cabinet, opening the one in the bottom, going through the records inside before pulling a very specific one, blowing off the dust on it, and moving to put it on the record player.
At the dance floor, a disco ball, so old that started gathering cobwebs, dangled downward and disco music started playing. All the patrons stopped and looked around confused, including Otis and Korra. Then, on the suddenly glowing dance floor, strolled a familiar bear in disco clothing, tapping to the beat with a determined look on his face.
From their table, Mowgli and Akru were also weirded out by the whole situation. The man-cub asked: "Hey, what's going on?"
Shake it, shake it.
Then, a familiar and fair maiden, now in disco clothing, walked to the dance floor, starting to move to the groove.
Shake your groove thing, shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah. Show them how we do it now.
Many single males gasped, their jaws dropping in shock. Kaa, watching from above, incidentally burst his bubble to his face. Baloo was surprised yet grinning, looking utterly blown off.
Shake your groove thing. Shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah.
The female smirks, motioning the bear to come closer. He was happy to oblige.
Show them how we do it now, show them how we do it now.
The crowd watched as they begin tapping to the beat before starting to dance together.
Let's show the world we can dance. Bad enough to strut our stuff, the music gives us a chance.
The crowd begins dancing as well, with the couple briefly waltzing and twirling before posing with arms held before twirling and dipping together.
We do more out on the floor, groovin' loose or heart-to-heart.
Each of them bumps hips to one another with Baloo twirling Snow before dancing a la Saturday Night Fever-style fashion. Mowgli, watching, bops his head a bit as he claps to the beat of the song.
We put in motion, every single part.
He looks at the dancing Akru on his side before getting up and starting to dance with his friend.
"If the Gammas don't keep my dad out of our hair, his new girlfriend will." Mowgli cheered as he and Akru Hi-five.
The Wolf howled. "YES! BOOGIE!"
Funky sounds wall to wall. We're bumpin' booties, havin' us a ball, y'all.
The lights flash a bit with Snow White dancing and posing.
Shake your groove thing. Shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah. Show them how we do it now.
The bear, smirking, does the split and twirls his butt and legs before backflipping, twirling with his butt.
Shake your groove thing. Shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah.
Otis and Korra keep dancing before the bovine held out his thumb for Baloo to grab it, twirling the steer.
Show them how we do it now.
Otis began dancing wildly on the dance floor.
Shake your groove thing. Shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah.
He poses, earning a grin from Korra who approached him.
"Oh, you're swinging with some pretty cool canines there, Papa-dog." The Avatar said as she hugged the bull's side.
Show them how we do it now.
Otis smirked a bit with pride and when they separated, he gently caught her chin in his palm. "Well, you are queen of the scene, my little java bean."
Shake your groove thing. Shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah. Show them how we do it now.
The both of them now danced wildly together.
There's nothing more that I'd like to do than take the floor and dance with you.
Baloo and Snow meet in the middle of the dance floor, holding hands as they started twirling. They looked each other in the eyes, smiling silly before just enjoying the rushing sensation.
Keep dancin', let's keep danciiiiin'!
Many of the students gathered on the floor to continue dancing beneath the disco ball. Baloo and Snow lead them while looking at one another.
Later, Baloo and Snow had moved on from the glittering light of the mirrorball to the shining white of the full moon. Currently, the pair were dancing in the park, bumping their rumps together before deciding enough was enough and sitting across from the other on a bench to relax, the bear gentlemanly leading the maiden to sit.
You've got a cute way of talking.
Snow sat with her hand off, gesturing for him to join her side. Baloo dropped his grin for the first time that day as he now looked meekly at her.
You got the better of me.
Snow's mood downcasted as well as Baloo seemed to be pondering about something in his mind.
Just snap your fingers and I'm walking.
He sat down, crossing his leg and looking away. She did the same, somewhat disappointed.
Like a dog hanging on your lead.
He almost turned back, but just sighed instead.
I'm in a spin, you know.
Snow turned to look at him at the same time he picked up the courage to do it for her. Gradually, a grin found its way to both of their faces.
Shaking on a string, you know.
Snow shrugged and Baloo chuckled a little.
You make me feel like dancing.
Then, he let his arm down to the bench.
Gonna dance the night away.
The bear, with a mood ring on his hand, made his finger 'walk' to hers. The maiden also mimicked walking with her fingers.
You make me feel like dancing.
The bear's finger scratched its 'leg' a bit.
I'm gonna dance the night away.
They raised their pinkies to meet the other's, causing their respective mood rings to glow.
You make me feel like dancing.
They look on, noticing the mood rings glowing brightly, much to their shock.
I feel like dancing, dancing.
They extended their fingers, joining them at the tip as the rings kept glowing.
Dance the night away.
He gasps, looking up to meet the beautiful smile on her face.
I feel like dancing.
They interlaced the pinkies together.
Dancing.
Then, they lifted their combined glowy pinkies.
Ahh...
Eventually, they let go.
Ditty-ditty dit, dit, de-dit.
The maiden smiled warmly. "Ah, Baloo...this is the best night of my life." Snow White declared as she leaned to his chest.
He looked at her with an equally tender grin before wrapping his arm around her shoulder to bring her closer. "Mine too."
A shooting star passed in the starry night sky just as he whispered that.
